Chapter 19
Try trust
Ella remains sitting down on the bathroom floor with her back against the tub as the leftover drip of the water from the shower head drips onto the tub. She still feels Chun's eyes staring at her in the dark as she waits for a reply. "C-Chun?" She stutters again but this time she starts shivering. "W-Why are you here?"
"I told you I'll be back, but when I got back to the room, you weren't there. I was worried." He said as he reaches his hand to her cheek. She moves over to the side, don't touch me she said to herself. "What's wrong?" Still shivering from fear of his presence, she doesn't reply. "Why aren't you fucking replying?" Oh god, he IS crazy, she said to herself. "Did I startle you? I didn't mean to." He leans closer to her and wraps his arms around her. She looks away, still not replying to his words and action. This doesn't feel right, she said to herself. This embrace wasn't like his other embraces; this one was more cold and uncomfortable. She then heard a sound. She lean closer to his side and realized that it's a crying sound. He's crying? Why is he crying?

"Hebe, lights off, it's time for bed!" A lady said as she knocks on a door.
"Yes, mom." Hebe said as her head lay on a piece of paper and a pen in her hand. She slowly puts it down then pen on the desk, rises up, and turns off the lamp. She then stood up and walked zombie like to her bed,crawl into the bed, and cover her body with her blanket.

Ella remains silent as she listen to him cry until her legs starts turning numb. "Chun, why are you crying?" Before she can say anything else, the lights came back on. She pushes him away and said, "Are you ok?"
"How can you live in a place like this?" He asked as he looks at her. She looks away not sure how to answer his question.

Hebe lays in her bed staring at the ceiling listen to her stomach growl. She punches herself in the stomach and whispers. "Stop growling."

"Be-because I can," Ella scold at Chun. "I don't need you to worry about me. I can take care of myself and besides I'm the one that's supposed to be protecting you not the other way around." She explained. "Why the hell were you crying?" He looks away in shame without answering. "Answer me."

Hebe turns to the side starts crying. "I can't feed you. Your daddy doesn't want you and I don't want you…but I can't get an abortion. I also can't put you up for adoption because then…your grandparents will know. Mommy doesn't know what to do." She brushes her face onto the pillow. "Tell me, what should I do?"

Ella hits Chun in the back and said, "Tell me."
"Be-because it's," He stutter as he speaks. "It's fucking cold!"
She couldn't resistant but laugh and said, "Who told you to be all manly coming here and checking up on me." She laughs more.
He leans toward her and placed his right hand on the tub and looks at her. "You think that's funny?"
"Kind of." She said with a nod and then looks away smiling.
He laughs and then stop, "Aren't you cold?"
She shakes her head and said, "I'm not cold."

Hebe looks at the side wall dazed off, she squeezes her abdomen area and said, "Want to know a secret?"

Chun looks leans closer to Ella and said, "Are you sure? Because I know what we can do to warm us up."
She looks down and said, "Not that."
"You don't even know what it is." He said as he reaches to the top of her towel but she grab on it tightly.
"What are you doing Chun?" She asked as she looks at him.
He touches her shoulder and said, "We can warm each other by lying naked together."
"WHAT?" She said as she starts shaking her head. "No way."
"It'll be a matter of time for your heat from the shower will wear off. Lying naked together will keep us warm because of the body heat we'll produce." He explained to her as she continues shaking her head. "What's wrong? I thought we were doing fine."
She looks away and said, "Rainie told me everything."
"What do you mean 'everything'?" He asked.

Hebe continues looking at the wall then said, "The secret is that your daddy is gay."

"She told me about you killing the person you cheated on her with because she ruined your plans of you being with Rainie." Ella said as she remains looking away.
"And you believe her?" Chun touches her face and make her face him. "Look, Rainie is a liar. Whatever she said it's not true. I didn't cheat on her. She assumed I did!"
She looks down and said, "It's not that I believed her, it's just she was right in a way. I don't know anything about you. I don't know if you're telling the truth or she is."

Hebe starts crying again and said, "He was gay, but I didn't know nor did I bother to ask because he didn't act gay at all. Mommy is so stupid."

Chun tips Ella chin to look her in the eye and said, "If you want to know anything about me, ask me, I'll telling you anything you want to know. I'm not a lair despite what Rainie said." He paused and whisper to her. "I wasn't raised that way."
She pushes him away with a smile and said, "Then how were your raised? What about your stepbrother Arron?"
He looks away and said, "I don't want to bore you with my family problems."
"It can't be that boring. I mean there's has to be explanation! Your dad has a second wife?" She said.
He nods and said, "He had a second wife but she died when I was young. And he's not my real father."
"Then why do you say you're like your dad? I've met your current dad, he's kind of....." She drifted off feeling guilty for bringing up a topic he doesn't want to reply.
He swings over and lays his back against the tub next to her. "My real father was a good man. He wasn't a liar, he wasn't a cheat, and he wasn't anything like that. It was until he caught my mother in bed with my stepfather, he then became aggressive and demanding." He explained then paused. "When my mother filed for a divorce, he said he would sign it if he would have full custody over me but my mother wouldn't let him have his way. He took me out of town on the day he had me. My mother found out and told my stepfather and he manages to track us down because of the connection he had." He looks down. "When they found us, my stepfather threatens my father to release me and let my mother to have me. He pointed a gun at my father's head, and you know what my mother said?" He looks at her in her eyes. "She told him to shoot my father in the fucking head." He shakes his head. "But my stepfather didn't, instead he ordered his guards to drag him away, and I never saw him again." He looks away. "This is why I hate my mother and stepfather so much. My mother is overprotective of me not because I'll turn into my stepfather, she's overprotecting me because she scared I might get kidnapped from my real father." He looks at her with a smile. "And you know what? I really wished he did because staying in that mansion for all these years and dealing with my mother and stepfather..." He shakes his head. "If you met my stepbrother, Arron, you'll know what I'm talking about."
"I've met him, he's not that bad!" Ella said as she looks at him.
"That's because he's been going to school overseas since middle school." He said then looked down and sighed. "I wanted to go too but my mother wouldn't let me!"
"Aw poor Chunnie!" She said with a tease and a smile.
He smiles back at her then lean close to her and reached to the top of her towel and said, "Now, how that body heat? It’s freezing here!" She nods still smiling and reaches over to unbutton his shirt as he slips the towel off her body.

Hebe turns over and whispers, "Tomorrow will be another day." Then she closes her eyes and drifted off to sleep.

After Ella helped him strip naked, she wraps her arms around Chun's neck as he lowers his naked body onto hers and started playing tongue twister with him on the bathroom floor.----------
