Chapter 2
Not a boy, not yet a man
Ella kicks a guard and he falls on top of the other guard. A guard from before walks toward them and whisper something to them. They all nod. "You're off the hook for now." One of the guards said.
"Where the hell is my dad?" She asked bluntly.
"You won't get to see him." Another guard said.
"WHAT?" She said in shock.
"Our boss has plans for you. Guys grab her." Both guard grab her and tie her as Ella struggle trying to set herself free.
"Hey, let go." They dragged her into the car and slammed the door.

Chun slowly steps off the bed and walks toward the bathroom. He walks pass the mirror and slides the band aid on his face. He then traces his fingers on the scars. "Don't worry; mother will fix it like always."
Chun turns to the side and saw a male near the doorway. "Step brother, Arron…why are you back here?"
"Oh you know, mother tends to call me for situation like these." He replied and cross his arms.
Chun looks at his stepbrother. "It's just a little scar. I don't know what’s the deal."
"You're her precious son; of course she'll do anything for you. Especially to look more like a girl…not that you don't even with the scars…you still look like a girl. You even act like a girl. Can't even defend yourself." Chun looks at him hard. "Are you going to hit me? Hmph, you wouldn't dare...not even to hurt a fly." Arron added and walks away.
Chun turns on the sink and splash the water in her face. He then wipes the water off his face. He looks in the mirror deeply and said, "For now on, I can't be weak. I'll have to be strong. No more bodyguards."

"Yes, love, I know but a female as he's bodyguard. I don't think he can...." Mrs.Wu said to her husband at the dinner table.
"Don't worry, he won't know the difference. She looks like a boy." He said as picks some boiled bac choy from a plate in front of them.
"I want to see her before we make the final decision." She insisted.
"You can't decide. It's about time I decide what good for our son." He said as if he made up his mind.
"But-" She said hoping to change his mind but her husband interrupted her.
"She's good. She can fight. Don't worry." But she's still a female, Mrs.Wu said to herself and picks her rice and puts it in my mouth and swallow hard.

Ella opens her eyes and finds the sun shinning at her. She sits up and saw the guard throwing a uniform at her. "Good you're up. It's time for school." He said.
"I'm home schooled!"
"Not anymore." He turns around. "Be ready in five." He walks out of the room and closed the door.
Ella sighs and grabs the uniform. "Why pants? Oh well, I like wearing pants anyways." She said as she starts changing into the uniform.

Chun walks out of his car for the first time out of the hospital. He didn't had a bandaid over he's scars. He walks toward his school..this time with confident and without any bodyguards. This feels good, the thought. He saw a group of guys walking toward him. One of the guy with blonde highlights looks at his scar. "Aw that looks painful. It's surprising you still look like a girl." He said to Chun, mocking him.
"Did you brush your teeth this morning? Because your breath stinks." Chun said.
"You-" The guy aims his fist to him and was about to punch him but then stops when he found out that Ella was blocking him from punching Chun, he said. "Who the hell are you?"
"I should be asking you the same thing. What did he do to you to that makes you WANT to punch him?" She said as she points her index finger at him.
The guy laughs. "Are you a guy or a girl?" The guy asked.
She looks away. "Uh, a guy of course." She said as she adjust her tie in a deep voice.
The guy looks at his group of friends. "I'll leave you two alone, you two must be gay." He laughs and walks away with his friends.
She looks to the side and begins to walk away. Chun walks toward her. "Who do you think you are?" She continues walking away. He grabs her arm. She looks at him. He lets her go. "Uh sorry, but you didn't have to do that. I could've defended myself. "
"I guess you haven't got the message." She said.
"Huh?" He said dumbfounded.
"I'm your new bodyguard." She said as she places her fingers on her chest.
He covers he's mouth trying not to laugh out loud and said, "Pardon me?"
"I'm your new bodyguard." She said with a smile.
He presses his index finger to his lips and looks at her up and down. "You're kind of small to be a bodyguard."
"Hey I might be small but-"
Before she can say anything, he interrupted her. "But what, aren't you scare that someone might pick you up and throw you?"
"Don't underestimate me." She said as she walks into the school building.
He looks away and whispers. "I told her I don't need a boyd guard anymore." He sighed angrily and walked into the building.

15 minutes before school started:
The guard pushes Ella in the car. "She's ready." The driver nods. The guard slams the door. She jumps. He sits in the passenger side and closed the door. The driver starts driving. The guard hands her a picture.
She grabs the picture and looks at it. "Who's this?"
"The boss's, son, Chun. For now on you’ll be his bodyguard." The guard explains.
"What?" She said shocked.
"Oh that's right you were home schooled." He paused. "You're his bodyguard meaning you-" He turns towards her.
"I know what a bodyguard is you dumb ass, the question is why does he need a bodyguard? I mean he's-"
"Don't ask any question. You do what I tell you to do. Or you won't get to see your dad ever again." She looks away. "Oh yeah, you can't tell him you're a girl."
"What why? Oh never mind, men and their egos." She rolled her eyes. "So all I have to do is be his bodyguard? For how long?"
"Your dad owes our boss millions of dollars. What do you think?" The guard said rasing his eyebrow.
"Damn him." She whispers as she looks out of the window.
"Oh yes, this is your new ID." The guard said as he hands her the ID.
She looks at it and read it and goes into shock. "Edward Chen?"
"I picked that name," The said driver proudly.
"Geez, thanx," She said feeling unfortunate.
