Chapter Six ‘Edison To The Rescue!’
Edison’s P.O.V
Charlene had been talking to Gillian for an hour reminiscing. The guys have joined in their conversation. She was now in the speaking terms with Stephen and Sam but not Edison. They were laughing and entering the Reeve mansion. Edison saw that Charlene’s laughter died. Edison looked at what she was looking at and saw a woman in the living room. The others did the same.
‘Where were you?’ a woman shouted and came face to face with Charlene.
‘I…erm…w…went to…eat,’ Charlene stuttered the word out.
Edison couldn’t believe it. She was scared of this woman. Anyone could tell. But Edison didn’t like it. He didn’t know why. This woman didn’t look nice. She looked more like a wicked witch. He twitched a smile when he thought that.
‘We went to grab something to eat. Is that a problem for you?’ Edison defended Charlene. He still didn’t know why but he thought that it was the right thing to do.
‘And who may you be?’ the wicked witch asked. She was glaring at him. He didn’t mind she wont be doing that in a second.
‘Edison Chen! Is that a problem?’ he raised his chin. He wanted to show who the boss was.
‘No,’ the wicked witch answered when she looked at him. He smirked when he saw the look of horror on her face. She knew she couldn’t do anything to him since he was a powerful man. Right now he was glad that he had money. He liked to put people like her in her place. ‘I was just worried. Chase said she was here already.’
Edison, who didn’t believe a word, just stared. He then looked at Charlene who was looking at him. Her jaws dropped. He raised one eyebrow implying what-was-wrong-with-you.
‘Your father is in the study. He said for you to go there when you come in,’ the wicked witch said and went off with her head held high, her eyes not meeting Edison’s eyes. It just made him smirk.
When she disappeared Gillian went up to Charlene side and asked whom that was. Everyone wanted to know including Edison.
‘Yeah! Who was that wicked witch?’ Edison asked anxiously.
‘She’s… erm… my stepmother,’ Charlene quietly said. Everyone was silent.
‘Omg! That’s your stepmother?’ Gillian was the first to say.
‘I feel sorry for you for having a wicked witch as your stepmother!’ Edison chuckled.
‘Its not funny man!’ Stephen smacked Edison. It stopped him.
‘Imagine yourself having a stepmother like her!’ Sam shivered after he said that as if he just imagined it.
‘Are you okay, Char?’ Nicholas asked Charlene who was still quiet. Edison looked at her. His heart tugged when he saw her like that. He saw that she was trying to smile when she assured them she was.
‘I have, uh, go and see my father,’ the way she said it, anyone can tell that she really didn’t want to see him.
‘You want us to go with you?’ Gillian asked.
‘No!’ She said it to quickly, which made Edison think. She then slowly carried on realising what she done. ‘I mean no. He will want to see me alone.’

What do u think so far? Comment plz! Can some one tell me whom Nicholas should go with? I don’t know whom he should go with. What do u thinks of Joey Yung? Or Cecilia Cheung? (I think that’s how their last name goes by) and what about Sam, Stephen and Gillian?
