A footstep went nearer and nearer to Flora, who had just parked her vehicle nearby.
Man: (taking Flora from behind) Freeze! It’s a robbery!
Flora gave the man a hard elbow right at his stomach. He caught her hands and locked her tightly into his arms. Someone rushed up.
Gallen: (running towards them, and gave the man a push) Let go of her!
In a second, he draws his right fist and punches it on the man’s face. The man fell hard on the ground. He let out a loud cry, while Flora turns to look at the attacker.
Flora: (shocked) Francis? When did you return?
Francis: (getting up) Sorry, I just want to play a little trick on you, but didn’t expect you got such a strong bodyguard. (looks at Gallen)
Gallen: (helping him up) Flora, he’s your friend?
Francis: (smiling) Yeah, boyfriend!
Flora: (chuckles) Cut the crap, Francis! Are you still staying here?
Francis: Oh no, I’ve sold my apartment and is now moving in with you.
Flora was totally amused by his words and break into laughter, while Gallen gave him an unfriendly stare.
Flora: (chuckling) You’re still like before, happy-go-lucky… (keeps her smile, to Gallen) And what brings you here, Lo-Sir?
Gallen: I just want to explain to you regarding Myolie…
Flora: Sorry I’m not interested in that. (holding Francis’ hand) Let’s go.
They walked towards the lift lobby, leaving the dumbstruck Gallen freezing on the spot.

(In the lift)
Francis: (looking at the absentminded Flora) Hey, is that your… boyfriend?
Flora: (looks at him) Huh? (looks down) Emmm…
Francis: (putting on a frown look) Oh no! that means I have no chance already!
Flora: Hey Francis, stop your nonsense la! You’ve been saying this for more than 10 years!
Francis: (pouting) And you have rejected me for more than 10 years!
Flora: (shaking her head) Just stop it! (pauses for a second) And why are you back so soon? I thought you will only be back next year. It’d only been a year and you’re back! What about your whatever pilot training programme?
Francis: Well, I miss you… (Flora rolls her eyes) And my kitty! How’s she?
Flora: She’s well under my tender care, don’t you worry. Just answer my question first!
Francis: (clearing his throat) That’s because… I’ve decided to carry on my training here as another instructor is coming to HK for lessons… (the lifts door open) It’s our floor. (tagging Flora)
Flora: Hey, return to your own house. This is mine!
Francis: (smiles) I just want to have a look at my kitty…
Flora: (opening the door) Do you need to fetch Kitty back?
Francis: (smiles, closing the door) It’s ok, she is better off under your care. Hey, where’s Ada? (notices Flora is not her usual self) You two have a quarrel? But that’s quite impossible, I’ve never seen you two quarrelling… (The door opens again)
Ada: (enters) Francis? (smiling) When did you come back? And how was your training?
Francis: Emmm… my training is okay, and I’m continuing with it here… (noticing Ada’s enmity towards Flora) Emmm…Ada, can we have a talk? Over there? (pointing to the kitchen)(They walks into the kitchen while Flora sits down on the sofa, keeping an eye on their conversation)
Ada: (looks at him) So, what do you want to talk to me? About me and she?
Francis: (nods his head) What happened? You two were the best of friends... Is there a misunderstanding somewhere or what?
Ada: (a bit agitated) There's no misunderstanding, she lied to me blatantly, and made me a fool out of the whole matter.
Francis: What matter are you referring to?
Ada: You weren't here and you weren't aware of it. So you'll better keep your hands out of it. And anyway, you'll side with her as usual.
Francis: Why would I? I've always treat you like my own sister.
Ada: (blurts out) But you like her!
Francis: That's another matter. Now tell me, what exactly happened? (He was narrated the side of Ada's story) So it's over guys! (recalls) Oh! The guy just now! I think he must be the Gallen!
Ada: It's not over guys... It's just that... she betrayed my trust for her! She didn't tell me that she was dating Gallen, and I feel like a fool!
Francis: But did you hear her out? Perhaps she has her reasons for keeping it from you? (Ada looks down) You two have been sisters for over a decade, wouldn't it be such a pity if you lose this friend just because of a silly misunderstanding? Go and talk it out with her. (gives her a slight push) Quick, go!
Ada: (gives Francis a look)(walks out to the living room, standing besides Flora)(Clear her throat) Emmm… I have something to say to you…
Flora: (stands up) Huh? What?
Ada: Regarding you and Gallen…
Flora: (tugging her sleeves) Ada, I have decided to break up with him, I won’t let any guy affect our sisterly ties…
Ada: (feeling guilty) Do you like him? (Flora keeps quiet, looking down) I know you do… Actually you don’t have to do this…
Flora: (lifts her head up) But you’re my best friend, I wouldn’t want to lose my good sister because of a guy…
Ada: (chuckles a bit) Silly Gal! Do you mean you want to stick with me for the rest of your life?
Flora: (puzzled) Ada…
Ada: (giggles) I’ve decide to forgive you, but I want to know when you two started…
Flora: Huh? Emmm… (Ada gives her another signal) We just started the day you was drunk… I wanted to tell you… But I thought you knew about it… So I…
Ada: (sighs) Forget it! Love can’t be forced!

(The next day, at the police station)
Myolie: Lo-Sir, the report is ready. (passes him)
Gallen: (takes it) Ok, thanks. You can go back to your work.
Myolie: Emmm, will you be free to have lunch with me?
Gallen: No. (pauses) Actually I have already had a very good girlfriend, it’s impossible between us…
Myolie: Who is it?
Gallen: It’s Flora.
Myolie: (Exclaims) Flora? Impossible! She told me if I like you, I should tell you.
Gallen: (shocked) What? She really told you that? (Myolie nods) Is that true?
Myolie: I swear it’s true.
Gallen sees Flora passing by at the corridor, he chases out.
Gallen: Flora, I need to talk to you. (pulls her into her office)(closes the door after them) Why did you tell Myolie to pester me?
Flora: (giggling in her heart) Well, she likes you, so perhaps… you should give her a chance…
Gallen: (letting out a loud gasp) Flora! You know I only love you. (shouts) I LOVE YOU!
Flora: (covering his mouth) Hey, keep your volume down, this is the station not your house.
Gallen: (putting his hands around her waist) Who ask you to play this kind of prank on me...
Flora: (smiling) Actually Myolie is not too bad, she is young, pretty, energetic…
Gallen: (presses his lips on hers by surprise) But she is not you! (hugs her tightly) I will only love you in my life.
Flora: (smiling sweetly) Your sweet-talking don’t work on me… (recalls) By the way, Ada has forgiven me…
Gallen: Oh… so that’s why you come back to me… (pouting) If not, you’ll rather give me up!
Flora smiles at his childishness. Someone knocks on the door. They break away from their hug.
Francis: (comes in) Hello! Flora, care to have lunch with me later? I specially came for you…
Flora: (takes a look at Gallen) Looks like I has no reason to reject you…
Gallen: What about me? (Flora hesitates)(Gallen laughs) Just kidding! I have work to do. But I will have dinner with you tonight, ok? (Flora nods smilingly, while Gallen leaves them to talk)

(Gallen’s division)
Melissa: So when can you release Mr. Chung?
Gallen: I’m afraid we can’t, now we have concrete evidence to prove his guilty.
Moses: (walks up from behind) Melissa? Why are you here?
Melissa: (turns to look at him) To bail my client out. But looks like it’s a fruitless trip…
Gallen: (Moses gives him a look) Sorry, I couldn’t help…
Moses: (to Melissa) Are you going? I’ll see you out. (both of them leaves)

(corridor)
Moses: Oh ya, about that night, I’m sorry…
Melissa: (laughs) I should be the one saying sorry, I must have gave you a scare. Actually, my boyfriend was there. So, I was making use of you to spite him… I’m sorry… But we have broken up…
Moses: Broken up?
Melissa: Emmm, I should have done that long ago. When a relationship sours, nothing can bring it back…
Moses: (deep in thought) Emmm…
Melissa: (smiles) Looks like you have some troubles too…
Moses: (smiles) It’s just some personal problems…
Melissa: Mind telling me? (Moses told her the details) Oh I see… so your best friend stole away your love! (chuckles)
Moses: Why are you laughing?
Melissa: I think you should let it go… Sometimes there are no right and wrong in love, since you know that girl doesn’t like you, even if she doesn’t accept your friend, she won’t accept you either… It’s pointless wasting your brain juice over these minute matters!
Moses nodded in agreement. And their conversation goes on...

PS: Hehe, Gallen and Flora are forgiven! But what actions will Francis and Myolie the "potential 3rd-parties" take? What about Moses and Melissa? Stay tuned.
