Frankie: Ok. Where?
Flora: Angel’s dust. Half an hour from now. (puts down the phone)
Gallen: Why do you want me to meet Frankie?
Flora: (holds his hand) Let’s go.
Gallen could feel that Flora was practically squeezing his hand. He was bewildered. The look in her eyes, her tone of speaking. They indicated one thing. She must have kept something from him. His brain did a manual scanning to come up with all possible answers.

[Angel’s Dust]
Flora and Gallen sat down at a table near the entrance, she looked at her watch, then at the entrance, dazedly. Gallen wanted so much to speak up but something had somehow prompted him to stay silent. In a few minutes’ time, Frankie stepped in.
Frankie: (walking towards them and sat down) Flora, what’s the matter? You called me out so late!
Flora: (looking at Frankie, then at Gallen) I have something to tell you.
Gallen: Him or me?
Flora: Both. (takes a deep breath, and looks at Frankie) I have found out Ivy’s original identity.
Frankie: (sits up, listening attentively) Really?
Flora: Yes. (takes another deep breath and looks at Gallen) Ivy is Kenix.
Gallen: (shocked and having mixed feelings) Kenix? She…
Flora: (continues to explain) She didn’t leave you on purpose. She lost her memory during the trip to Singapore, and since then Frankie had been taking care of her.
Frankie: (taking a gasp and looks at Gallen) Ivy is your girlfriend?
Gallen: She was. But… (looks at Flora)
Flora: (averting his eyes) I think you should have a talk with her. (to Frankie) You too.
Gallen: Flora…
Flora: Sorry, I’ll make a move first. (to Gallen) Talk to her, Gallen. (leaves)

[Flora’s doorstep]
Francis: (holding onto Flora) Come, let me open the door for you. (the door opens) Ada? Good to nice you!
Ada: Flora? What’s wrong? (looking suggestively at Francis) You…
Francis: (widened his eyes) Not me! But she refused to tell me, I just met her downstairs. She was roaming on the streets. Talk to her, I’m worried.
Ada: Ok, sure. Don’t worry.
Ada closed the door after her sentence. Flora had already gone back to her room. She trailed her in. She was lying motionlessly on her bed, still weeping.
Ada: (stroking her hair) What happened dear? Why were you roaming on the street?
Flora: (wiping her tears) Nothing.
Ada: Now if you refused to tell me, I’ll call Gallen.
Flora: (gets up) No. I…
Flora filled her in with the details. Ada was apparently shocked by what had taken place.
Ada: (picking up the phone) Let me call Gallen.
Flora: (trying to stop her) No, Flora. I don’t want to...
Ada: (giving her an assuring pat) Flora, don’t worry. I know how to help you… (Flora put away her hand) (Ada dialed the number) Hello. Gallen?
Gallen: Ada?
Ada: (in an uptight tone) Something happened to Flora. Can you come here at once?
Gallen: (anxious) Huh? What happened?
Ada: Don’t ask so much, just come here as soon as possible.
Gallen: Ok. (hung up)
Flora: (uneasy) Ada…
Ada: (putting her hands on her shoulder) Don’t fret, sis. No matter what happens, I will be with you…
Flora: (putting her head on Ada’s shoulder) Thanks sis!

[Kenix’s/Ivy’s apartment]
Frankie: Ivy, I have something to tell you.
Ivy/Kenix: (grinning) Why such a grave look on your face? What did Flora tell you?
Frankie: She’d found out your real identity.
Ivy/Kenix: Huh? Really? Which is?
Frankie: Your real name is Kenix. And before you lost your memory, you had a boyfriend named Gallen.
Ivy/Kenix: Gallen? It sounds familiar…
Frankie: Flora’s current boyfriend.
Ivy/Kenix: WHAT!!!
Frankie: He was there with Flora. He said he will look for you soon.
Ivy/Kenix: Really?
Frankie: Do you want to meet him?
Ivy/Kenix: I’m sorry, Frankie. Actually I have been keeping something from you…

[Flora’s/Ada’s apartment]
The doorbell was ringing continuously at a hasty speed. Ada opened the door.
Ada: (open the door) Gallen? You’re here.
Gallen: (anxiously and rushing in) Where’s Flora? How’s she?
Ada: (closing the door) In the room.
Gallen: What happened exactly?
Ada: You ask her yourself!
Gallen rushed into the room while Ada excused herself and left them to talk.
Gallen: (sitting on her bed by her) Flora, what happened?
Flora: Did you talk to Kenix?
Gallen: Nope. What happened to you exactly? Don’t keep me in the dark, please…
Flora: This was what happened…
*FLASHBACKS*
Flora was wandering on the street towards her apartment, silently going through the darkness. The space around was full of creepy tranquility. Flora could hear her heart beating, painfully and bitterly. All of a sudden, she felt someone pulling her into a small lane from the behind. Before she could have any reaction and was about to shout out, he used his still arm to cover her mouth.
Man: This is a robbery. Take out all your money! Quick! (anxiously took cursory glances around)
Flora pretended to take out things from her handbag but taking the man by surprise, she used her handbag to give his head a smack and tried to run away, shouting for help. The man hauled her back mightily and tried to grab her handbag. She struggled to kick him and he was about to turn even nastier.
He raised his hand and was about to deliver a fateful blow onto Flora when someone subdued the man and locked his arms in hers. Flora raised her head and looked at the familiar girl.
Flora: Thanks. You look familiar.
Jessica: (smiles) Jess Lo. The girl sitting behind you in Secondary 3.
Flora: (recalls) Oh… the one who love fighting with boys!
Jessica: Yeah! (handcuffing the man) Don’t move and go back with me to the station!
Flora: You’re a police officer? You look too demure to be one!
Jessica: Yeah! At Yau Tsim Wong police station. Can you come with me as well?
Flora: Ok sure.
*END OF FLASHBACKS*
Gallen: (heaved a relived sigh) So that’s what had happened! You gave me a scare. Why did you leave the bar alone?
Flora: (sadly) Because I don’t want you to settle for the second best!
Gallen: (objecting) You’re not the second best! You’re always the best in my eyes!
Flora: What about Kenix? You miss her! You two were separated by a twist of fate!
Gallen: I guess heaven wants me to meet you, to love you, to take care of you… using my heart, my life, my everything…
Flora: (shaking her head) Gallen…
Gallen: (holding onto her, brushing her face) No, listen to me. Just now when you told me about Kenix, I admit I was a bit confused. My mind was in a whirl. I didn’t know how to face the facts. I didn’t how to face you, or Kenix. I didn’t know who I love the most. But when Ada called to say something happened to you, I felt so terrible. Pathetically terrible! Never in my life had I felt like this before. (cupping her face) At the fateful moment I could feel that my heart was sinking into abyss. I felt like dying. Never had I felt this way when Kenix left me. (pauses and continues) From that moment, I knew that I would never ever want you to leave me again. I knew I can’t afford to lose you! I can’t! (hugs her tightly in his embrace)
Flora: Gallen… I…
Gallen: Shhh… I just want to enjoy this moment with you, peacefully. I hope this minute can last forever… So I can love you forever… (tightening his embrace and closing his eyes) (She closed hers too)
Their hearts and bodies were vibrating…
