Gallen : But...
Mr. Lam: Is there any problem?
Gallen and Flora : No, sir!
Lam sir : Well,we 'll send you the information about this training later.
Gallen and Flora replied. "Good bye, sir".
Flora and Gallen came out of the office,both wondering why the chief chose them for this mission. Waiting for Flora walked far off the office, Gallen walked back to see Mr. Lam.
Gallen : Sir, I don't understand why you chose Flora and me? Can you give me a reason?
Mr. Lam : Ok, I know that you will ask me this. The first reason, you are an out-standing officer. And Flora is an outstanding psychologist. This training will be tough but we have confidence in you two.
Gallen : Sir, I think Moses is more suitable...
Mr. Lam : Yes, Moses is also the good CID. But secondly,this traning requires cooperation. So we hope you and Flora can learn how to promote your relatonship, how to cooperate with others. We are both law enforcers. And we have to work with many kind of people. I think this training will give you many useful experiences. Flora is an outstanding psychologist. You guys can understand more about each other, OK?

On the way to China...
"Ok, Ok... any way, it's a good way to help Moses." Gallen thinks. So does Flora. She also think she can help Ada to learn more about Gallen. They have to go by bus to the place where the training are held. It is very far from the center of the city. Around this place is forest. Along the regulations, they have to surmount many challenge to pass this training.
During the training, they seldom talk to each other though they lived together in a house which was supplied for the training.
One midnight, Flora was rolling to and fro on the bed... She couldn't sleep because of hunger. In fact, the food here is terrible! Suddenly, she heard a strange noise from the kitchen... Wondering if it was a thief, she came to the kitchen on the tip toe with a stick. It was quite dark without electricity. Flora use all her strength to hit the stranger whom she regarded a thief.
"Ouch!!! What are you doing, Flora?" Gallen shouted.
Flora was surprised: Is that you, Gallen? What are you doing here? (Flora switched on the lights) Why didn't you turn the lights on?
Gallen pointed at his hand : Look at what you have done to my hand?
Flora (confused): Sorry, I don't know it's that you.Have I hurt your hand?
Gallen : Of course. You are physically stronger than you look. You'll never change, always act without thinking.
Flora: But it's not totally my fault. And what are you doing here steathily without switching the lights on.... like a thief.
Gallen: I intended to cook some instant noodles. Miss Chan, I am very hungry now.
Flora: Cooking noodles?
Gallen: Yeah... and I didn't switch on the lights because I don't want to alert you or the others, and due to the regulation we are not allowed to cook here. But now you found me!
Flora: Sorry, I really didn't do that on purpose. So can I help you?
Gallen: (smiling) Cook for me then.
Flora: Me? I can't do it!
Gallen: Hey Miss, look at my hand. How can I cook with my pathetic hand now?
Gallen held his hand and gave a pathetic look.
Gallen: If you don't cook for me, I will die because of hunger. You will have no co-worker. As the result of that, You can't pass the training...The chief will blame you ...
Flora: Ok, Ok, sit down and wait for me. You win, Mr. Gallen Lo.
She walked into the kitchen. Gallen couldn't imagine Moses's responce if he ever learns that Flora is cooking for him. Suddenly, Gallen laughed. In fact, he didn't feel hurt much... he only wanted take full advantage of this chance to let Flora serve him (all because of what she had done to him) but the more important is so that he could help Moses.
Busy with his thoughts, Gallen didn't notice Flora who was standing behind him.
Flora put the bowl which was full of instant noodles in front of Gallen : Here you are. (and was about going to her own room)
Gallen: It is too much. Would you like to share it with me?
Flora: (smirks) You are so good. But I wonder that this noodle is poisonous or not.
Gallen: Yes, it is. You are scared, aren't you?
Flora was nearly crazy at him and she said What is there for me to be scared? Fine! (she sits down)
They stared to enjoy the supper. Perhaps they were both hungry so the overcooked noodles actually tasted very delicious to them.
Gallen stopped to talk: Your cooking is wonderful, Flora!
Flora (surprised) : Really? Are you kidding?
Gallen: Yes... it's from the bottom of my heart. Looked, I have finished every single thread of it. I have never eaten such delicious food before. I am still hungry. (Gallen massaged his tummy)
Flora: Take my share,(She gave him her bowl)if you don't mind.
Gallen: Of course I don't mind... thank you very much. (gobbles down the noodles)
Flora smiled and looking at Gallen: You are the first person who praised my cooking!!! At home, Ada is the one who does the cooking.
Gallen: What about you?
Flora: Do nothing, because Ada said that my cooking is horrible. In the orphanage, I wasn't taught how to cook well, especially Chinese food.
Gallen was suprised: An orphanage? You grew up in one?
Flora: Yes...I am a orphan. Ada didn't tell you about it ,did she?
Gallen: (shakes his head) Nope. This is the first time I heard about it... So you wasn't taken care of by parents?It is hard to live alone...
Flora (displayed a beautiful smile): Yeah... I couldn't remember exactly when but I knew that I was in the orphanage when I was only 3 years old... It is said that my parents died when I was little. I haven't even seen my parents.
Gallen: You was too little then!
Flora: But I didn't feel sad, because I have many mothers who love me. They are like my real mothers. And I have Ada,my best friend who are always beside me. I think life is very beautiful... I am an orphan but instead, there are many kind people around me. I consider my life, my work wonderful.
Gallen said nothing... From the bottom of his heart,he felt a great admiration for her... What a optimistic girl! Despite a distressed past, she still live optimistically with "pink eyes". Gallen thought of himself. Perhaps he isn't as brave as her, or even half as brave. For a long time, he has suffered in the name of love. All he knew was work, work, and work ...
Flora said, cutting off his thoughts : You know? I believe there are miracles in this world. If we have hope, we can do everything.
Flora: Can I asked you a question?
Gallen: Yes, What?
Flora: As far as I can see, you are prejudice against women...You don't believe us. Why?
Gallen smiled sadly: It appeared so to you?
Flora: I can feel it through your eyes, your behavior...
Gallen: Hmm...I almost forgot you are a psychologist. Mr. Lam is right, you are a sensitive one.
Flora: Do you mind sharing your story with me?
Gallen: (taking a deep breath)Five years ago, I had a grilfriend, Kenix... We were in love for a long time. At that time, I felt really happy. I thought I was the most fortunate man in the world. I intended to propose to her... But she suddenly disappeared, seemed that she had never existed in my life... She left me without a word... Up till today, I still can't understand the reason of her disappearance.
Flora: Perhaps she had her reasons.
Gallen: She could have told me about it. We are a couple. You know, for five years I haven't had news about her... Why is she treating me like that, why?
Flora: So this is the reason of your prejudice against women. I have no right to interfere in your business but in my opinion, your mood, your thoughts are too complicated. Perhaps you feel you are suffering. But from another perspective, it may be an indication that you should forget her. Or fate may arrange you two to meet later, to stand the test of time.
Gallen: You are too optimistic.
Flora: You are too pessimistic. Optimism is better than pessimism.
Gallen: Ok, you win. I don't understand why I told you that.
Flora: Because I am a psychologist. As one, I can only give you certain advice. As I have said, life is still beautiful... With many true love and nice women around. You should open your mind, open your eyes, and change your view of the world.
Gallen: (smiles, suddenly feels relieved) Anyway, thank you... You sounds like someone...
Flora: Who?
Gallen looked directly at Flora: Hummm, I think you know him, Moses.
Flora blushed and felt that Gallen wanted to insinulate something.
Flora: You still miss her?
Gallen: Sometime I can't fathom myself... yes, I still miss her much even though I am angry with her... Promise me, don't ever tell this to anyone.
Flora: I know...I am very professional. (smiles)
Gallen: I have answered you. Now can I ask you?
Flora : It is fair.
Gallen : Someone wants to know that whether you have a boyfriend or not...?
Flora blushed deeper. She know that "someone" was Moses.
Flora: Is that you want to know it?
Gallen: You can consider that.
Flora: If that someone is you, I will say I am married with a loving hubby...
Gallen (chuckled): Really? I don't believe it.
Flora (giggled): Yeah.. That is in future tense... In the future I'll certainly have a happy marriage... but now, I don't even have a boyfriend.
Gallen: I have told my secret to you. Yet you didn't trust me fully... You are pretty and intelligent. I'm sure you have many suitors...
Flora: In fact, I have no boyfriend now. I'm still waiting for my prince charming...
Gallen smiled : You are too romantic.
Gallen glanced at Flora... For the very first time he feels drawn to her. Maybe she is different from others. Moses was right to say that Flora is very special. Finally he found out the reason of Moses's love for her.
Flora glanced at Gallen... For the very first time she has positive feelings about him. Gallen is too faithful. For five years, he had been thinking of his ex-girlfriend. She started to admire him...
