“Good morning,” said a tall guy, with short, slightly-spiked hair, wearing a pair of gray jogging pants and hoodie.
“Donghae-oppa,” she waved.
“Sleepy?”
She nodded, pouting and crinkling her nose. “Why is oppa early?”
“I’m gonna practice.”
“Oppa is very industrious, that’s why Kangta-sunbaenim and some other public figures admire you.”
“Well, this has been my father’s dream. Gradually, I’m making my best to reach it.”
Silence arose…
“Uhm. Oppa, want some coffee?” she offered, trying to divert the topic.
“I’d love to.”
They both went to the office. Heerin went to the kitchenette and waited for the water to boil, while Donghae was exploring the room.
“Where did you take this?” he asked, seeing her and her boyfriend’s picture in a frame.
“What do you mean?” she went out for awhile. “Oh, that…that’s near Han River.”
“Han River? I can remember Kangin-hyung calling it acorn jelly.”
“Ah, in We Got Married.”
“You’re really updated, huh?”
“Fan girl, remember?” she pointed at herself proudly. “By the way, here’s your coffee.”
“Er, thanks,” he beamed. “Seems like you’re relationship with Eunho has been so long.”
“Aish. We’ve been together for only a month now. It’s really difficult to be situated on the same building, yet different time schedules,” she let go of a sigh and forced a smile.
But as she looked up, her eyes met with those beautiful set of eyes that seem to have its own soul.
(Heerin’s POV)
“Donghae-ah, don’t give me that kind of stare,” she thought, stopping herself. “Rin-ah, this is SINFUL! You’ve got a boyfriend, okay?”
(end of POV)
Having wild thoughts, she accidentally drank the BOILING coffee in her cup, without even letting it cool down.
“Pweh…” she coughed, fanning her tongue.
“Oh my…” Hae stood up, right away and gave her a cold compress. “What were you thinking?”
“N-nothing. NOTHING REALLY!” she answered, nervous and stuttering,
Donghae was giving her a ‘doubting-look.’
“Believe me…nothing. Just nervous…”
“With what or whom?”
“YOU,” Heerin’s tongue slipped off.
