They were hiding behind a corner across from the theater where Tavia worked as an actress. She always wanted to become an actress for series but didn't know where to start. Therefore, she ended up with small roles in the local theater productions.
"I still think this is a stupid idea. Why can't we just beat him up like we always do? It's always fun." said Michelle impatiently.
Ray and Ron looked at Stalker #30. He wasn't any different from any of the guys before who liked Tavia. Somehow, she always attracted nerdy, skinny, annoying guys. It WOULD be fun to beat him up though like Michelle said. They looked at each other as the same thought went through their heads and grinned.
"But remember what Tavia said before? She might get fired and she'll never get to become an actress." retorted Ron although he did want to beat the guy up.
"Ok, showtime!" Tavia said, dragging Ron towards Stalker #30.
"We'll wait for you guys back at the apartment!" Raymond called after them and dragged Michelle away.
Ron and Tavia was walking behind Stalker #30. Tavia felt kind of guilty for dragging Ron into this mess and didn't want to make the first move to start the "show." Suprisingly, Ron took her hand.
"Don't worry, you're an actress remember? So I'm sure he won't be able to tell this is just a show. Besides, I was a pretty good tree in my form 1 play remember?" consoled Ron.
Tavia laughed and nodded. Just then, stalker #30 turned around.
((Stalker #30 played by Ellesmere Choy))
Ellesmere turned around and stared at Tavia and Ron.
"TAVIA! WHO IS THIS??!" yelled Ellesmere pointing at Ron.
Tavia bit her lip looking at Ron. For some reason she couldn't get the right words out.
"Uh..." she stuttered.
"I'm Ron Ng, her boyfriend." Ron said calmly looking at Ellesmere to Tavia's relief.
"WHAT? YOU ARE HER BOYFRIEND? NO, YOU CAN'T BE! TAVIA WOULD NEVER GO OUT WITH YOU! " Ellesmere replied denyingly.
"It's true," Tavia said. "We've been going out for three weeks." she added, remembering the lines which Raymond made them memorize.
Ron tried to recall what Ray told them to do. He smiled and pulled Tavia closer to him. She stumbled to her left but continued smiling, hoping Ellesmere would believe them.
"NO! I DON'T BELIEVE YOU! TAVIA DOESN'T LIKE YOU, THE ONE SHE LIKES IS ME!" screamed Ellesmere.
"I don't like you." Tavia paused swallowing hard. "I like my boyfriend and that's Ron." she squeaked, realizing how strange that sounded.
Ellesmere was glaring at the two of them as if he was about to explode.
"PROVE IT! I DON'T BELIEVE EITHER ONE OF YOU! I'm going to follow you around the whole day and see if you two are an actual couple!" smirked Ellesmere.
Tavia paled and her hands started to sweat. She suddenly felt really stupid for coming up with the idea and getting Ron into this. Besides that, also he had to hold her sweaty hand.
"Fine, but I don't know why you would want to do that since we ARE going out." replied Ron calmly.
Tavia looked at Ron suprised. She would have to treat him to dinner or something for helping her out. The stalker was going to follow them the whole day! It was just five o'clock then, that was going to be a kinda long time!
Ron and Tavia started walking down the street, still holding hands with Ellesmere following behind them.
"What are we going to do??!" hissed Tavia.
"Well, the 'show' started and we must do the whole thing. Besides, he won't stop annoying you unless we do this. So, we'll just have to go through a few more hours of this. Let's just get something to eat now and try to sit in the restaurant as long as possible." replied Ron.
Tavia nodded. "What are you two whispering about!!?" Ellesmere exclaimed.
"Nothing, we were just discussing where we're going to eat.." muttered Tavia.
Just then, she noticed a child run into the street chasing after a basketball. Tavia realized it was a green light and ran into the street. She pulled the boy from the street just as a car ran over the basketball, causing it to make a huge popping noise. Ron and Ellesmere ran towards them.
"Don't run into the street like that, it's dangerous." said Tavia kneeling down next to the boy.
"My basketball.." the little boy sobbed and his eyes started to water.
"How about jie jie(cantonese-older person who's a girl) buy you a new one?" asked Tavia.
The boy nodded and they went into a store which sold them on the same block. Moments later, they came out of the store and the boy was happily holding a new basketball.
"Ming Jai(Little boy Ming)! What happened?!" a fat lady in her fourties came running out of a store.
"Miss, your son almost got run over by a car when he went to pick up a basketball." Tavia said angrily.
"You are such a bad child! I TOLD YOU NOT TO RUN AROUND!" the woman yelled at her son, pulling her away from Tavia.
Tavia was stunned at the woman's behavior. "Miss, you weren't looking after your son and now you're yelling at him? It's your fault that he almost got killed!"
Meanwhile, Ron looked at Tavia who was still holding his hand. She was so caring and nice but knew when to stick up for herself. Why hadn't he noticed this before? His hands started to get sweaty as he watched the woman drag her son away.
"God, people these days are so impolite! It was her fault for not looking after her son and she was yelling at him! Tavia said angrily. She noticed Ron was looking at her in a strange way and his hands were awfully sweaty.
"Is something wrong?" she asked.
"Huh, uh no. Let's go find a place to eat now." Ron quickly replied snapping out of his trance.
They continued walking with Ellesmere still folowing them and passed by an Italian Restaurant with special discounts for couples. Ron and Tavia exchanged looks and entered the restaurant with Ellesmere behind them.
"Hi, how many people?" asked the hostess.
"Two please." Tavia replied politely.
"No! Three!" Ellesmere said cutting in.
"Sir, are you with them?" asked the hostess confused.
"We don't know him. We came here to have the couple lunch." replied Ron.
"Ok, right this way." the hostess replied chirpily, taking two menus and seating them at a table next to a water view.
Ellesmere followed them quickly and sat at the table in back of them.
"Sir, you just can't sit yourself here." the hostess said to Ellesmere, still grinning.
"Yeah, whatever. Just bring me a menu." he said waving her away and staring at Ron and Tavia.
"So are we going to sit here for five hours or something?" questioned Tavia looking through the menu.
"I guess we'll have to with that guy following us everywhere."
Tavia sighed and nodded. "I'm soooo sorry for getting you into this mess. Now you have to sit with me here for the next couple of hours. I'll pay for this meal as a thank you."
"But usually doesn't the guy pay?" replied Ron laughing.
Ellesmere glared at them. He called for the waiter and stuck the menu in his face.
"I'll just have water."
"But sir, you have to order something because water is for free." the waiter said nervously.
"I SAID I just want the water." Ellesmere looked at the waiter who had just begun his first day of work.
"..Yes..sir." he stuttered walking away with the menu.
"So which one of the couple meals are we ordering?" Tavia asked laughing.
"How about number five? It has soup, salad, spaghetti and tomato sauce, and desert."
"Sounds good to me."
They ordered number five and soon the food came.
"Excuse me but why is there only one of everything?" asked Tavia.
"You ordered the couple meal right? Well, if you read on the very bottom of the menu, it said that there's only one of everything. This is because if you're a couple then there should be no problem sharing all your food. Besides, we would be losing lots of money if we had two of everything at that price! Also, it's a policy that we can't give you extra bowls, forks, knives, spoons, or chopsticks. You two have to eat from the same utinsils and bowls." the nervous waiter replied, giving them the menu and walked away.
Tavia just stared at the food not knowing what to do as Ron opened the menu.
"It says here.. 'It is a policy there's only one of everything to prevent us from being cheated by non-couples.' Oh my God, this is in like size six font! Who would see this??!"
"I got an idea, let's just split up the food. I can have the soup and you can have the salad. That way, I use the spoon and you use the fork and we don't have to share!"
"But what about the spaghetti? You can't eat that with a spoon." asked Ron.
"...Well I guess we can just wait until either one of us is done with the pasta and the other person can finish it."
Ron nodded as he started to eat the salad while Tavia drank the soup. Ron started the spaghetti since he had the fork. He noticed Tavia looking at him eating the spaghetti.
"What?"
"Oh nothing, it's just that I'm really hungry and it just looks so good." Tavia looked glazingly at the dish.
Ron shoved the plate over. "Here, you can start eating it and I'll finish whatever you don't want."
"But aren't you hungry?"
"It's ok, go ahead."
Tavia paused and said slowly,"...I guess we can eat it at the same time."
Ron shrugged and put his spoon into the dish and continued eating while Tavia struggled to pick it up with the spoon.
"Here." Ron held the fork towards Tavia's face which was wrapped with spaghetti.
Tavia looked at it blankly.
Ron lowered his voice. "We have to look like a couple to get rid of the loser remember?"
Tavia slowly opened her mouth as Ron put the fork in her mouth. She yelled as he jammed all of it in her mouth and she spat the whole thing out. They started laughing hysterically. Ellesmere was looking at them laughing, he still didn't believe Tavia would go out with that guy instead of him.
They were now using the same fork, alternating the fork between the both of them and the dish was almost finished. Tavia sucked in the piece she had while Ron did the same with his..they realize they had the same piece in their mouth and their eyes met. Ron slowly continued to eat the piece, moving closer to Tavia...
