Chapter 9

Good

Chun Hei stealthily managed to steal the front seat of the van for the ride home, the seat furthest Changmin. Since the press conference had ended she hadn’t been able to look Changmin in the eye. She was afraid of what she was feeling and he was too. Changmin hid himself in the very back of the van with Junsu who kept making comments along the lines of, “You are the man,” and “Get that, boy!” Both of them were redder than they have ever been in their lives.

They stood as far as possible from each other on the way up to the apartment, not wanting to accidentally bump into each other, or for that matter, even look at one another. When they arrived up at the apartment Chun Hei made a b line for her room, and Changmin to the one he shared with Junsu. The other members sat in front of the TV, turning to on just in time to see the stubborn reporter giving her report on the conference.

“While my personal sources still make me doubt this new relationship of Dong Bang Shin Ki member Changmin, their case is very strong. Take a look at this footage taken at today’s press conference,” she said as the screen cut to a scene of Chun Hei and Changmin attached at the mouth, passionately wrapped up in each other.

“I wanna know who her sources are,” Jejung said, very angry.

“You know it’s someone on our staff,” Yunho said shaking his head.

“Yeah, and that’s what gets to me the most,” Jejung replied. They all nodded in agreement.

As if out of nowhere Changmin threw open his door and stormed into Chun Hei’s room, slamming her door behind him. “We need to talk,” he said, staring her down intensely.

She looked at him, shocked at his sudden entrance and fumbled for words. “Okay,” was all she could think of.

“Do you have feelings for me?” he asked, slightly scared of what her answer might be.

“No,” she lied without thinking.

“Good,” he nodded, unsure of how he felt about her quick response.

“Do you have feelings for me?” she asked, not really wanting to know the answer.

“No,” he lied with a chuckle, shaking his head violently.

“Good,” she said, slightly disappointed.

“Good,” he said with a nod, swiftly exiting the room and returning to his. She looked at the space where he had stood for a minute, thinking about everything that happened and hating herself for not telling him exactly how she felt. She stood up off her bed, storming into the living room, much the same way that Changmin had, surprised to find him marching toward her too. When they reached each other she wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling herself close to him and kissing him square on the lips. He used his strength to pick her up, overcoming the large difference in their heights. She wrapped her legs around his waist kissing him hard, letting her tongue slip into his mouth. She took in every bit of him.

When they finally pulled apart they were gasping for air. “Good,” Changmin said nodding.

She jumped off of him nodding in agreement, “Good.” They looked at each other for another second and then bolted in opposite directions to their rooms.

The other members looked around in shock over what they had just seen. “Is that normal?” Junsu asked, blinking in awe.

“It’s Changmin, how in the world are we supposed to define normal?” Yunho asked, shaking his head.

“Good point,” Junsu said. “Good point.”
