She was still a bit emotional over the previous day's
appointment, but seemed a bit calmer. She sat in her usual
seat, and had pulled back her hair in a low side
ponytail. Much to her friends protests, she just wore
a tinted moisturizer and chapstick, and a plain
light blue t-shirt, dark wash jeans, and her converse.
Onew sat in the therapist chair this time.
"Hi dongseng." He said. "Hi oppa." Isa said sullenly.
He took out his own notepad, and a pen. "Okay now,
is there anything you'd like to talk about in particular?"
He asked. Isa nodded. "How is it you guys can sacrifice
so much for your dreams as being singers, being away from
your families and having to practice long hours?" She
asked them. The SHINee members looked at one another.
"I meant with your current situation, but okay we can
answer that. I guess I would have to say is that
it takes alot of determination, and it's because it's
what we really want to do, that we keep going." He
said. Isa nodded and then Jonghyun answered. "Music
has been my passion ever since I could remember. I just
graduated somewhat recently and I received an honorary
degree in Music. We keep going because it's what we
have always wanted to do the most." Jonghyun answered.
Isa nodded again. "Like hyungs have said, it's because
it's something we've always wanted to do, and also
with that we like making other people happy with our
music." Key said. Isa nodded again. "We keep going
because being in the music industry is what we're most
passionate about." Minho added. Isa nodded again.
"We continue on with our career and keep working hard
also because we want to make our family and friends
proud." Taemin added. "Oh. I see. Thanks. You guys
answered really well." She said. They all nodded and
Onew continued on with his questions. "Now, is there
anything you want to talk about, in relation to your
current situation?" Onew clarified. Isa thought for a
moment. "Well, I guess I did some reflecting yesterday,
and I think a part of it would have to be the fact
that my other friends, I'm not talking about the ones
you met yesterday, but my old friends, started dating
before me, when I was the oldest from that past group.
And you know how you just want something, but then
think 'I don't need it?' kind of like, say, you want
I don't know, a cookie, but then you think I don't need
it it's bad for me, I'm not hungry, all of that. I think
that's kind of how I've been thinking. That I don't need
to try and find love, it's just not for me. You know?
And that what is it called, something dissention, I
remember it in my psychology class, but you get what
I mean right?" She asked. Onew nodded, as did the other
members. "So, you have this push pull effect, and it's
confusing you, and you're having your doubts?" He asked.
She nodded. "And also, I guess since I was born early,
most of the guys I liked were a bit younger than me."
She said. "So?" Jonghyun said. All the members looked
at him. "It's only around a few months younger right?
I don't mind dating someone older that's even two to three
years plus older." Jonghyun explained. "Wow oppa really."
Isa said. The other members shook their heads at this
as well. "What? Haven't you ever heard "Age Ain't Nothing
but a Number?" or what about our song "Noona" nomu yeppeo?"
it's not dongseng nomu yeppeo" Jonghyun said, getting
excited now. "Okay oppa. We get it." She said.
"Okay now, you need to take another test, and if you
do well, we have a surprise!" Onew said brightly,
like he was teaching a little kid. Isa looked at him
skeptically. "Okay." She said, and they continued with
the therapy.
