gates of Disneyland as they showed their tickets, after
entering the theme park, they all looked at the map
first, deciding where to go. "Let's go to
Tomorrow Land!" Chaemi suggested the rest of the group
nodded, they walked through the park, as the strong
scent of popcorn and cotton candy was lingering in
the air. As they passed through the Frontier Land, they
heard people screaming on rollercoasters and on the
log rides. They kept walking. Isa stopped to tie
her shoe for a moment, and when she stood back up,
she saw ChanChan and Onew going to ToonTown, ChaeMI
and Taemin headed for Tomorrow Land, Vanessa and Key
going to main street, HyoSoo and Jonghyun going through
the fairy place, and SongYee and Minho going through
the star tours. "Yup." Isa said, she went over to Daisy's
Diner in Toon Town, where she saw ChanChan and Onew
taking pictures at Goofy's house. She inconspicuously
slipped past them, and bought a chili dog, a strawberry
smoothie, a chocolate dipped frozen bananana, a bag
of potato chips, and some cajun curly fries and sat down
at a table, and started by eating her frozen banana.
She sighed. ChanChan and Onew spotted her and went
over. "Dongseng. You're not going to eat all that
are you?" ChanChan asked worriedly. Isa smiled at her,
shaking her head. "Ani. I bought some for you all too."
She said. And they called up the rest of them so they
could all sit down to eat. Isa excused herself to the
bathroom for a moment. The stalls were all empty so she
propped herself up on the bathroom counter for a moment,
just sitting there. She sniffed a little, and then got
off of the counter, leaving the bathroom quickly,
when she bumped into someone who was going to the men's
room. She looked up meeting eyes with someone around
her age. "Sorry." She said quickly. The guy nodded,
letting her pass, when he called after her. "Hey." He
said. She turned around. "Not to butt in or anything
but are you okay?" He asked her. SHe sighed.
"Not really." She said. "Do you want to talk about it?
I mean, you don't have to. But if you want, I'll just
be right back." He told her. She thought for a moment.
Her friends were having fun, why not talk to a complete
stranger? Wait. Talk to a stranger? "Um okay. I'll
wait here on the bench." She said. He nodded going to
the bathroom, and coming back, sitting down beside her.
"So, what's up? You're at "the happiest place on"
so to speak, and you don't seem so happy." He told her.
She sighed. "Well, I am grateful to be here. My friends
are having a good time, but they all paired off. And
I just feel a bit out of place." She explained. He
nodded. "Well, you can still make the most of it.
When you're all in your group, you can do what you
can to enjoy yourself, even if you're not paired off.
And you want your friends to be happy right?" He asked
her. She nodded. Then her phone rang. "Hello? Oh unni.
Yeah. I'm coming back now. K bye." She said then hung
up. "Thanks for listening....?" She said, not knowing
his name, "Marc. Marc Kwon." He said, extending his
hand out to her, she took his hand, shaking it.
"I'm Isa Santos. I have to go now, but thanks for
listening again." She said. He nodded with a small smile
and she got up from the bench, walking back to
Daisy's Diner. When she got there, they were all
done eating. "What took you so long?" Vanessa
asked. "Um." Isa said, and smiled sheepishly.
"Never mind we don't want to know." ChanChan said
quickly. "No I wasn't..nevermind. Let's go somewhere
now?" She asked them they all nodded, and got up from
the table, and walking to the lights parade.
She remembered what Marc had said, and took his advise.
She smiled softly, grateful that someone wanted to
listen to her.
