applied makeup to Isa's face. She curled her eyelashes,
and applied volumizing mascara and just a little bit
of eyeliner. Then she applied a light foundation over
her face to even out the complexion, and then dusted
a light pink blush on her cheeks, and finished off with
a berry hued lipbalm and clear gloss. Isa thanked the
woman, and then she and the SNSD members went to Le
Cherie boutique.
"Here try this one." Tiffany said, handing her
a dress. "And this one." Jessica said. "And this one."
Tiffany said, handing her another one. "Oh this one also."
Jessica said, handing her one more dress, then they gently
pushed her into the dress room, while they and the other
SNSD members waited outside. She came out in a
black and white strapless, and they all shook their
heads. She then came out in a yellow sundress where they
thought it could work. Then a silver halter dress,
and they all shook their heads, and finally a very light
pink dress, of a thin flowy material, with straps
and ruffles around it. They thought it matched her
makeup, and they all smiled, giving her a thumbs up.
She went back in to change, then got the dress,
thanking the members who smiled, wishing her luck on
her date.
Isa drove home, and walked around her house for
awhile, then called up the SHINee members.
"What time was my date again?" She asked. "6:30." They
told her. She looked at the clock on her nightstand.
It was already six. "OMO. I gotta go thanks!" She
said, then hung up. She changed into the dress, and
slipped on her heels, and then curled her newly cut
hair in loose waves, fixing it into a loose half updo.
Then she slipped on her earrings, then drove over to the
restaurant, that they had told her to go to. She walked
up to the maitre'd. "Hi. I'm looking for someone, but I
actually don't know their name yet." She explained,
The maitre'd smiled. "Oh, you must be Mr. Yoon's date."
He said. She nodded, as he led her to a table. "Mr?
Did they seriously set me up with a ahjusshi?" She wondered
slightly panicked. She was relieved when she saw a young
man around her age, as she was seated at the table.
"Hi. I'm Isa Santos." She said. "Jason Yoon." He
said, shaking her hand. And she nodded. "So, are you
new to the blind date scene or you've been here for
awhile?" He asked. "Um what?" She said, confused.
"I've been here for about three months quite a long
time, if you think about it." He said. "Oh, um, I guess
I'm new." She said. He nodded. "What do you like to do?"
He asked her. "Um, I read, I write and I.." She started
to say. "You're not one of those winglin writers
are you?" He asked. She was taken aback. "Noo." She
said. He nodded. "Either they have no life, or they
want to get away from the real world." He said.
She was upset but just nodded politely. "How about you?"
She asked. "I'm in a band, unprofessionally, and I like
playing Wii once in awhile, and sleep..." He trailed
off. "You're not those kind of people that sleep all
the time are you? Because it either means you have no
social life or you're just lazy." She said, firing
back at him, but said this all innocently. He looked
surprised. "Of course not." He said, but she knew he
was lying. "Want to hear a joke?" He said. She shrugged.
"Knock knock." He said. "Who's there?" She said.
"Coach." He said. Her eyes widened. "Um, you're not
related to Jonathan Yoon are you?" She asked.
He looked surprised. "He's my cousin." He said. Well
that did it for her. "Oh. Um, it's been really nice
meeting you, but I have to go." She said, picking up her
bag and quickly leaving the restaurant. She walked down
the sidewalk shaking her head. "Maybe I was being too
picky? I don't know. But I seriously hate that joke.
And Jonathan's cousin? What were the chances of that?"
She wondered. She was so deep in thought she bumped into
someone. "Oh, sorry..Marc?" She said surprised. He
looked surprised as well. "Hey, Isa right? What're you
doing out here?" he asked. "Eh. Had to get out of a bad
blind date." She explained. He nodded. "That bad?" He
asked. "Have you ever heard of the "coach" joke?" She
asked. He made a face. "He tried to tell that joke?
wow." he said. She nodded. And before they knew it,
they started walking down the sidewalk, while talking.
"I have a younger brother, Matt. He's a good kid." He
said. She nodded. "Yeah, I have a younger sister, only
a year younger though. We get into silly arguments at
times, but we're really close." She said, and he nodded
as they walked into a nearby bookstore and cafe.
"Why did you call me?" Vanessa asked as she
stood in the living room of the SHINee dorm. "I don't
know, Onew hyung is out somewhere, Taemin is at his
parent's, Minho has a modeling thing, and Jonghyun hyung
at his halmuni's. I didn't know who else to call?" He
explained uncertain. She sighed and sat down on the
couch next to him. Then her eyes widened, and she looked
at him. "Woah! Wait a minute! You ask me over when everyone
is out?!" She said. "No! Yes! I mean it's not what you
think! I just needed to talk about something!" He said.
She sighed. "What?" She asked. "Uh, how are you?" He
asked. She raised an eyebrow at this. "What?" She said.
"I just, we've been arguing here and then for the past
two weeks, and I just wanted to call a truce." He
explained. "A truce." She repeated. He nodded.
"Okay. I'm okay I guess. You?" She asked. "I'm doing
good. A little hungry though." He said. She laughed
lightly. "I'm hungry too." She said. "Really? We don't
have much in our pantry but I think we have some ramen."
He said. "Sounds good." She said, and they went to
the kitchen, and cooked up two packs of ramen, bringing
it back to the livingroom. They sat eating their ramen,
and watching t.v. Then they cleaned up their bowls,
placing it back in the kitchen going back to the
living room again. "Can I ask you something?" He asked
her. "You just did." She pointed out. He smiled.
"Do you have a favorite member?" He asked her. She knew
he meant from SHINee, but she said something else just
to tease. "Oh, I like Yunho oppa." She said with
a smirk. He looked distraught. She laughed. "I know you
meant from your group, I was kidding!" She said and he
laughed lightly. "Oh." He said. "Well then who is it?"
He asked. "You." She said boldly. "Really?" He said,
inching towards her, before he even realized what he
was doing. "Yeah." she said softly, looking into his
eyes, as his face came closer. "Well, I like you too." He
said. "Wait? Whoever said like?" She said. He smiled.
"I did. Just admit it." He said. "Never." She said,
as he continued inching forward.
She closed her eyes
as his lips pressed against her own, softly, for
a few seconds then he let go. Her eyes fluttered open,
as she looked at him. "How about now?" He said, smirking.
She smiled embarassed. "Maybe." She said, smiling.
"So, does this
mean we won't be fighting anymore?" He asked her.
"Maybe." She said, smirking and he laughed as he leaned
over again, meeting her lips once more.
"Woah." Isa said, getting a shiver down her
spine, as she and Marc sat in the fiction section of the
bookstore. "What?" He said, peering up from his
book. "I just had a weird chill. Usually that means
something good, or bad has happened." She explained.
He raised his eyebrows at this. "I'm not crazy!" She
said, whacking him with a book lightly. "I didn't say
you were." He defended. "Okay." She said smiling and he
smiled as well, going back to his book.
