“Yes sir!” Ariel mimicked a military officer, waved and started heading towards her trailer.
“Ariel wait!”
“What do you want?” Ariel asked without turning around. She knew it was Joe, there was no need to look, she recognised his voice, and, Ariel thought bitterly, his 50$ per ounce perfume scent.
“Ariel, I want to talk!” Joe pleaded.
“Not after what you did last night!”
“You cant hold a grudge on me about last night! That was a rule I couldn’t break! You know the rule!”
“I know the damn rule, but I’m asking, why? Why must it be followed? Do you know how much that rule hurts me?”
“Ariel, but it’s for my pleasure.”
“Oh you sick-sick-sicko! You and you’re stupid pleasure, can take a hike!”
“Ariel, you don’t mean that! You abused me! Ariel you...”
“Yes! I know a few abuses.”
Joe fought off the urge to laugh out loud. Abuses? He was joking, and she took it serious! Sick, stupid, and taking a hike, were no longer abuses for him. He was pretty sure Ariel would blush in an instant, if he showed her what abuses really meant!
“Well, there, you hurt me! I cant believe you would abuse me like that!” Joe pouted.
Ariel finally turned around, a look of regret on her face. Joe was torn between laughing and pulling her cheeks and going “Sooooo cute!” or standing still with the world’s best pout glued to his face.
“Well...I...I didn’t mean to...I’m...I’m so sorry...I was just joking.”
“Well, ok...I accept your apology. But only if you accept mine...” He looked up and smiled.
“No! Never! Never ever ever! This is the last time you do that to me Joe Cheng!”
“I’m sorry Arie! I promise to never do it again. Next time Arie comes first not pleasure.” He smiled brightly. Ariel turned to him with a murderous look on her face.
“You mean...hanging out with me...doesn’t give you...pleasure?”
Joe looked stunned! How did he land himself in this situation? He wondered. Then he remembered his statement.
‘You stupid freak!’ He scolded himself. ‘Maybe it’s time you used some abuses on yourself!’
“Ha ha ha! No ha ha! No-no! Hanging out with you...gives me...it gives me...immense joy! And pleasure! It’s just that, doing what I did yesterday, gave me more...”
Joe stopped dead in his tracks! Continue that statement and...
“You stupid cow! Here’s what I think of you and your pleasure!” Ariel yelped. She looked around found some noodles and dumped it on Joe’s head.
“I deserve this.” Joe said to himself as he saw Ariel walk away. “I am the biggest fool in this planet!”
He thought about what happened last night and exactly what went wrong.
“Ariel I am coming over I prom...woah!” Joe turned around. The most beautiful woman had just come over into the parking lot to Ariel’s building.
Joe gave a whistle, the girl turned around and winked.
The easy type! He thought with a relish. The type that would fall for a whistle was the type that would do anything for him. Normally maybe they wouldn’t like whistling fools, but he was Joe Cheng. Of course she would fall for him! He’s rich and famous.
“Hello there...what’s up?”
“Oh, well nothing much...going to a party with no date.” The woman smiled up at him.
“Well, um, where is this party? Maybe I could find you someone.”
“In such short notice? I don’t know...”
“Don’t worry your pretty head about that...you just tell me the address and he’d be there.”
“How about I drive this mystery guy there myself?”
“Well he would like that...just a minute...” Joe locked his car, and walked over to the pretty girl’s side. “Well are we ready?” He smirked.
“Why, of course. And if the party gets boring maybe you could come back to my place...” She winked again.
Joe grinned. This was easier than he thought.
‘Hmm...I don’t seem to have done anything wrong...then why is she mad at me? All I did was stand her up again. But I’ve done that trillions of times. Why should she be angry about that?’ He thought to himself as he wiped away the noodles from his face. ‘Ah! Chicken noodles soup...my favourite. Always so considerate that Ariel...she always throws what I’m craving for...’

‘Stupid Joe Cheng! I don’t give him pleasure! Of course why am I feeling bad! This is like the tenth time he ditched me! I should just move to a vicinity with less hot chicks! Maybe one where there’s old people everywhere!’
“Arie...”
“Go away!”
“Arie...”
“Are you deaf?! I said go away!”
“Arie barie bobarie, manie merie bomerie, fi fi fo fum...Arie!”
“Oh Gosh! You cant even sing that damn song properly! How many times do I have to teach you!”
“Guess what I’m doing right now?...”
“Kissing your reflection in the mirrior because you’re so pompous and arrogant?”
“No!” Joe sounded hurt. Ariel was pleased! “I’m...I’m sitting down...”
“Sitting down?”
“On the floor, on the mud and rocks, and my tushie hurts!” Ariel could feel Joe’s pout. The statement brought a smile onto her face. Every time she heard the word tushie, she couldn’t resist the smile that it brought to her face.
“Oh well...cant hurt your tushie long can we? Come in...” Ariel sighed.
“Thanks! I wanted to...” Joe said as he came in.” I wanted to know...which tie should I wear to my date today.”
“You’re still seeing the girl from yesterday?”
“Naah! She’s boring! This one’s a nurse! She promised to give me a...”
“ARGH! I don’t want to hear!”
“But you don’t know...”
“I don’t wanna know!”
“Arie...come on!”
