Cast: Joe Cheng, Ariel Lin.
Forewords: “The response for the offer is amazing. There are so many women around just this locality that have applied.” Angelina beamed.
“This is the best idea you have ever had sir.” Larry put in.
“I know.” The person Larry referred to as sir agreed. Joe Cheng, the head of this particular operation looked up at Angelina and Larry.
“Sir, we have short listed the winners and picked three women. It’s up to you to decide the winner.” Angelina said handing over a file to Joe.
“Let me see...” Joe’s voice trailed off. He flipped through the file slowly. The file carried the information of all the three women, like their name, age, and address, and also their dreams.
Joe frowned. It wasn’t easy this contest. This was the most weirdest idea he ever had. He was the head of the creative department of ‘Miracle beauty soap’. Their sales were dipping low, so there was extra pressure on him to come up with a means to increase their sales.
Hence was born, the ‘Miracle make your romantic dreams come true contest’.
Step one: Buy a Miracle bar of soap.
Step two: Open the packet find the secret code and send it along with your name, address, and romantic dream.
It was as simple as that. To Joe’s amazement, there were around 10,000 entries, and the sales went up remarkably too. Joe was confident that their Miracle soap contest had the ability to lure the customers, and it’s amazing scent and softness could guarantee that they keep buying it.
The contest basically ensured that the winner of it, would win the chance to have their most romantic dream come true. It could be anything, and there was no age limit.
“Not Rina Robertson.” Joe said tearing off her application from her file.
“Why?” Asked a confused Angelina. “I thought hers was the best one.”
“Well,” Joe smiled up at her. “She wants her boyfriend to propose to her in front of the Eiffel Tower, that’s not only old, used up and cheesy, but also, we don’t know if her boyfriend wants to propose to her. It says here she’s only been seeing him for six months.” Joe said throwing away the paper in his dustbin.
“Not...Josie Millington either.” Joe tore off this application too. “Because...” Joe added when he saw Larry was about to protest. “She wants someone to put a million roses in her bedroom and have a romantic dinner with them? This is going to come out in the papers, and the wish is really silly, not to mention too common.”
Joe was beginning to loose hope, but then his eyes landed on the third and last application.
“This is it! Euereka!” Joe exclaimed. “Anna Winderburg! She’s perfect! She wants her wedding to be interrupted on a guy on a white horse. That would be perfect.”
“Absolutely sir! That’s the choice!”
“Call her up and get everything ready. I’ll be around to personally supervise this wedding.”
