Finding True Love…Is Harder Than It Seems

Chapter 98:

Taiwan ~ Cheung Residence

Cecilia still wasn’t talking to her parents, there was no way she’s going to go anywhere to meet that jerk.

There was a knock on the door, it was her mother, “Cecilia, dinner is at 7, that half an hour from now, be sure to wash up before you come down.” Then she left.

Incredible, had her mother actually given up playing matchmaker, between her and that idiot Stephen?

“Good, Stephen is such a jerk, and a player, and a pervert!” she said aloud to herself. She was just cursing Stephen and somehow got off topic and started cursing Nicholas, “That stupid head, stubborn, hot headed, freak who has no brain…” she went on and on.

The door bell rang downstairs.

Mr. and Mrs. Cheung opened the door to find Stephen standing at the door.

“Good evening Uncle, Aunty,” he greeted, with a handshake and a hug.

“Stephen, you’re right on time,” said Mrs. Cheung. “Cecilia’s very anxious about this dinner.”

“Is she?” Stephen asked.

“Of course she is,” replied Mr. Cheung. “You know how much my little girl loves surprises, we just mentioned that you had a surprise for her and she was already jumping with joy, she’s been in her room since preparing for your arrival.”

“Come into the dinning room, dinner is about to be served,” said Mrs. Cheung leading Stephen to the dinning room.

“I’ll call her down,” said Mr. Cheung. He went by the stairs and yelled up, “Cecilia, come down for dinner.”

Cecilia was to into what she was doing. She was touching up on a picture of Nicholas. “Cartoonist huh?” she asked. “Artist, are you?” she questioned, “I’m an artist too,” she said doodling away. She was using a permanent marker to draw mustaches and beards, eye patches, on his picture. She looked at her masterpiece and laughed to herself. She looked at the picture, even as a freak, he looked cute. Cecilia sighed.

“CECILIA DINNER!” she heard her father screamed.

“COMING!” Cecilia yelled back down. She got off the bed and looked at herself in the mirror, she was wearing really short, shorts, a tube top, and her hair was left down. She shrugged, “It’s only dinner with mum and dad.” She walked down the stairs and into the dinning room, only to find another person, not even a person in her eyes, present at the table. As soon as she saw him, she turned around about to leave.

“Cecilia, where do you think you’re going?” her father asked. “It’s dinner time.”

“I’m not hungry anymore,” Cecilia replied.

“But you haven’t eaten anything all day,” replied Mrs. Cheung.

“If I sit at that table with that, I’m afraid I wouldn’t be able to swallow my dinner,” answered Cecilia.

“CECILIA CHEUNG, YOU ARE GOING TO SIT YOUR LITTLE TOUSHIE DOWN AT THIS DINNER TABLE, AND WE’RE GOING TO HAVE A FAMILY MEAL!” declared her father.

“He’s not family!” exclaimed Cecilia pointing at Stephen, who was gruesomely staring at her legs.

“SIT DOWN!” declared her father.

“Cecilia sit down, don’t upset your father,” Mrs. Cheung instructed.

Cecilia rolled her eyes and marched to the table and sat down, beside her father, far away from Stephen.

“Not there,” said her father, “Beside Stephen.”

“DAD!” Cecilia exclaimed angrily.

“Do as I say,” announced her father.

Cecilia hesitantly got up and sat beside Stephen. She picked up a plant pot and placed it in between her and Stephen.

“CECILIA!” both her parents scolded.

Cecilia removed the plant, and started eating her dinner quickly.

“Don’t you have anything to say to Stephen?” her mother asked.

“Get bent,” answered Cecilia looking straight into his eyes.

“Cecilia,” her mother said in her -I’m warning you tone-.

“It’s nice of you to come to dinner,” she said rolling her eyes.

Stephen smiled, “The pleasures all mine,” he said taking her hand and kissing it.

“Stephen has a surprise for you,” said Mr. Cheung.

“You love surprises, don’t you dear?” Mrs. Cheung asked.

“Ya,” replied Cecilia.

“You’ll love this one,” said Mrs. Cheung.

“Are we going to shoot him out of a cannon?” Cecilia asked with hope in her voice.

“Cecilia you can be such a joker,” her mother laughed.

“What is it then?” Cecilia asked.

Underneath the table, his free hand was massaging her legs and thighs.

Cecilia slapped him underneath the table, and pulled her hand away.

Cecilia dropped her fork, and looked at him with disgust written all over her face, “May I be excused,” she said in a peeved tone. “I’m full,” she got up and left.

“Cecilia!” her mother called.

But she ignored her.

“That girl!” Mrs. Cheung said shaking her head. “Sorry Stephen, we still haven’t gotten to telling her yet.”

“It’s okay Uncle, Aunty, I can tell her,” replied Stephen. “But I would like…”

Mr. Cheung raised his hand, “We know how romantic youngsters get nowadays, honey why don’t we go out for a stroll leaving Cecilia with Stephen to talk,” suggested Mr. Cheung.

Stephen grinned.

“Then Cecilia will be home alone with Stephen, not a ghost in the house,” said Mrs. Cheung.

“Stephen’s a good boy, there’s no need to worry,” replied Mr. Cheung.

“Thank you for entrusting me Uncle,” said Stephen.

”Let’s go dear,” Mr. Cheung said, handing his wife her coat.

“Alright,” she said.

Mr. and Mrs. Cheung left the house.

Stephen grinned to himself, and headed upstairs and knocked on Cecilia’s door.

“Go away, I’m not coming out until that Stephen Fung is out of my house for good,

Stephen opened the door and found Cecilia sitting on her bed, looking at a picture. He snuck up behind her, gently placing his hands on her shoulders. “CC, do you hate me that much?” he asked.

Cecilia froze the second she heard his voice, “What the hell are you doing here?” Cecilia asked. “How dare you come into my room? Do you want me to yell and shout rape so my parents will know the real you?” she threatened.

Stephen wrapped his arms around Cecilia tightly, “Yelling and screaming just turns me on even more,” he announced, pinning her down on the bed.

Cecilia was struggling, “GET OFF OF ME!” she yelled trying to kick him. “HELP! MOM! DAD! HELP!” she screamed.

“You really want me to screw you don’t you?” Stephen asked, kissing her. “You know your parents left you for me to play with,” he laughed. He forced his mouth on hers, he tried to force his tongue her mouth.

Cecilia bit his tongue.

Stephen slapped her. “You want it rough and hard don’t you?” he asked, sitting on top of her.

“GET OFF OF ME YOU ASSHOLE!” she shouted. Her mind was screaming for Nicholas to come save her like last time.

“This time no one’s going to interrupt us,” he announced beginning to unbutton his shirt.

“STOP!” Cecilia cried, “I swear I’ll…”

“You’ll what? Moan with pleasure? Beg for more?” he laughed.

He was reaching for her shorts, when he heard someone yell up, “Stephen? Cecilia? We’re back, You’re mother forgot something,” Mr. Cheung yelled up.

Stephen got off of Cecilia and fixed his clothing, “We’re up here, I’m just about to tell her the good news,” Stephen yelled down, he was covering Cecilia’s mouth so she didn’t say anything.

She bit his hand.

Stephen slapped her hard. He pulled her hair, “Just so you know, we’re engaged, you’ll be mine soon enough. Whether you want it or not, in two weeks you’ll become Mrs. Stephen Fung,” he announced.

Cecilia glared at him with hate in her eyes.

He patted her head, and kissed her cheek, “See you around,” he said leaving the room. He stopped at the doorway, and tossed her a red velvet box. “There’s your ring,” he said leaving.

Stephen made his way down the stairs and headed towards the door. He hugged and gave Mrs. Cheung a kiss on the cheek, “See you soon Aunty,” he said politely.

“You leaving so soon?” Mr. Cheung asked.

Stephen nodded.

Out of nowhere the red velvet box came flying towards his head, “I’M NOT GOING TO MARRY THAT ASSHOLE!” Cecilia yelled, running back into her room and slamming the door.

“Fu…” Stephen kept himself from cursing.

“Are you alright?” Mrs. Cheung asked.

Stephen nodded.

“Don’t worry about Cecilia, we’ll be sure she’ll be the bride at the wedding in two weeks,” said Mr. Cheung.

Stephen nodded, “See you soon,” he said leaving the house. As soon as the door close he cursed loudly.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Cheung went upstairs to check on Cecilia, but she wasn’t there, they found an empty room, with the windows opened.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cecilia was walking aimlessly around on the streets, not knowing where she was going, all she knew is she had to get away from Stephen, away from her parents. She didn’t live too far away from Grace and Nicholas’ place, so decided to go there. She didn’t care if Nic and her were over, or she was suppose to hate him, she just wanted to see him right now.

She went up to the front porch and pressed the doorbell.

Grace opened the door, she was on the phone, but when she saw Cecilia’s red eyes, and red cheek, “Leehom, I need to go now I’ll call you back later,” Grace said hanging up the phone and dropping it on the floor. “CC? What’s wrong?” Grace asked.

“Where’s Nic?” Cecilia asked, trying not to brake down and cry.

“He went to Dandelion Bar earlier,” answered Grace. “I don’t know when he’ll be back.”

“He went to a bar?” Cecilia asked. “Figures,” she laughed bitterly to herself. Not wanting to see Nic, come home with a girl hanging off of him later, “I’m leaving,” she said.

“Cecilia, what’s wrong?” Grace asked.

Cecilia shook her head, turned to walk away. As soon as she got off the front porch, a car came speeding in almost running her over. It stopped right in front of her. Cecilia’s heart literally stopped. The bright headlights were blinding her, she couldn’t see who was in the car.

From within the car Nic saw Cecilia, he had almost ran her over. He turned off the engine. He saw her red and frightened eyes. He got out of the car to see if she was alright, afraid he had accidentally hurt her.

Cecilia was still seeing stars all she could see clearly was a dark image come out of the car, closing the door. She couldn’t see who it was. The person approached her. Only when he was right in front of her did she realize it was Nicholas.

“CC, are you okay?” he asked, worryingly, he touched her wrists slightly.

“Nic?” she whispered.

“Ya, it’s me,” he replied. “What’s wrong? Did someone hurt you?”

Cecilia just forgot the fact that they were over and hugged him tightly, and started crying.

Nicholas was taken back, but glad that she was back in his arms, he wrapped his arms around her hugging her back with the same force. “Cecilia,” he whispered, closing his eyes, savoring this moment.

Grace smiled seeing Nic and Cecilia tightly in each other’s embrace, she felt a cool breeze swoop by, “Are you two going to stand outside all night?” Grace yelled from the porch.

Nic looked at Cecilia and wiped her tears away, “Come let’s get you inside, before you catch a cold,” he said leading her into his house.

Nic and Grace’s parents were out on vacation for there fourth honeymoon.

Nic placed Cecilia on the couch, “Stay here, I’ll get you some tea to calm you down,” he said, standing up.

Cecilia grabbed hold of his arm, “Don’t go,” she said as if begging him not to leave her.

“Nic stay with her, I’ll get her some tea,” Grace said heading into the kitchen.

Cecilia tugged on Nic’s shirt.

“Hmm?” he asked.

“Can you just hold me?” she asked. “I missed that feeling.”

“CC…I…” began Nic.

“Ssshhh,” she said placing a finger on his lips, “I don’t want to think about anything right now.”

Nic put his arms around her and hugged her. Cecilia relaxed under his embrace, finally feeling secure, and safe. Nic could feel how tensed up she was, he hugged her as tightly as possible without hurting her. He could sense fear, anger, and sadness from her, he wanted to kiss all her pain away, but was afraid that would push her too far, and cause her to leave him. The next thing he knew, he heard a slow rhythmic breathing coming from Cecilia, he knew she had fallen asleep. Nic gently placed a kiss on her forehead, “I’m sorry CC, I was wrong. I still love you more than ever,” he said aloud.

Grace came back with the tea and saw the two back in each other’s embraces so decided to head back into her room, leaving them alone.

The next morning Cecilia awoke in Nic’s arms, she looked at him lovingly, and caressed his handsome face. She thought back to the picture she drew yesterday of him and smiled. She looked at the table and saw a black marker, looked at Nic and smiled.

She grabbed the marker and began drawing her master piece from memory. The only difference was that the marker she was using was washable, and yesterday’s was permanent. She pulled away to look at her artwork, and smiled, she gave him a peck on the cheek, and got up, heading into the washroom.

When she came down Nic was still sleeping on the couch, but Grace was up and in the kitchen, reading the morning paper. Cecilia sat down in front of her.

“What you reading?” Cecilia asked.

“Morning paper,” answered Grace. “How about you? Just got back with my brother?”

“I don’t know, why I even came here in the first place,” replied Cecilia, “I have no idea what he’s thinking right now. If we do, then that means he won the last round, meaning I gave up, that I was wrong, he’ll never get over his pigheadedness.”

“You really think so?” Grace asked.

“You know how your brother is,” replied Cecilia. “He always has to get his way.”

Grace continued reading the newspaper as if she didn’t really care, out of nowhere she laughs out loud, “Aww this is cute,” she said showing Cecilia the newspaper, of the day’s comic.

Cecilia started reading it.

Cecilia placed the newspaper down, and looked out into the living room, watching Nic sleep.

“If a guy ever did something like that for me I’d forgive him and get back with him,” announced Grace. “But what do I know anyway?” she sighed. “If you want me I’ll be out for my morning jog, then I’m going into the school to set up for the kids when school starts again. I’ll be home late tonight,” Grace said getting up and leaving through the back door.

Cecilia walked out into the living room to stare at Nic. She looked at all the marker on his face. She took a wet cloth and carefully began to wipe the marker off his face, without waking him up.

At around nine Nic opened his eyes, and the first person he sees is Cecilia. “Hey,” he said sitting up, his eyes only half opened. Within a second Cecilia wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him.

Nic had a cute, dazed expression on his face when Cecilia let him go.

She looked him in the eye, “I love you too,” she announced.

Nic looked at her and a smile appeared on his face. “Forgive me?” he asked, hugging her.

Cecilia held up the newspaper, “How can’t I?” she asked.

“You found it,” he said.

“It’s kind of hard to miss,” Cecilia answered.

Nic felt something stuck to his arm, there was a Polaroid picture taped to his arm. He looked at the picture and saw himself sleeping, but there was marker all over his face. There were words on the picture, “From you’re adorable sister, Grace, I call it, “Cecilia’s Revenge.” Nic held up the picture to show Cecilia.

Cecilia smiled innocently at him, “I cleaned you up after I saw the cartoon,” she answered.

Nic nodded, “Oh, so now it’s okay?” he asked.

Cecilia nodded.

Nic stood up and pinned her onto the couch and began tickling her. He gave her a peck on the cheek, when he finished torturing her.

The sat down beside each other breathing heavily.

Nic looked at her, “So why were you crying last night?” he asked.

Cecilia looked at the floor, and began retelling the horrible incident the night before.

Nic jumped off the couch as soon as Cecilia finished. “I’m gonna beat the crap out of him!” he exclaimed.

Cecilia stopped him, “Nic you got to stop fighting him, you’ve beaten him enough, he knows he can’t beat you, he might call the cops and have you arrested for assault,” she replied.

“But I have to teach him what he gets for messing with my girl,” announced Nic heading for the door.

“You can’t I’m engaged to him!” she blurted out.

“What?” Nic asked. “You agreed to his proposal?”

“No my parents did,” answered Cecilia. “I have to marry him in two weeks.”

“NO!” exclaimed Nicholas angrily. “You can’t marry that bastard.”

“My parents won’t accept my refusal, he has them mesmerized, thinking he’s the perfect gentleman,” answered Cecilia. “I have no other choice.”

“You can’t marry Stephen if you’re already married!” declared Nic.

Cecilia looked at him confused.

“Two and a half words,” answered Nic. “We’ll elope.”

~Hong Kong~

Benny came home and was looking for Kevin, instead he found a note,

Daddy I’m leaving with Kevin to work for him. Don’t worry about me, I’m a big girl now. I’ll call you when I’m all settled.

Love Always,
Annie

Benny grabbed the phone and dialed someone’s number.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Julian was still sitting by the harbor thinking about Annie. He was skipping rocks on the water. “It can’t end like this!” he yelled. “It’s not supposed to end like this! We’re supposed to be together forever!”

Her words were killing him, rambling on and on, over and over, repeatedly, in his mind. “If you really do love me, then stop bothering me, stay out of my life, let me move on with my life. I’ve already given up on us. I want you out of my life for good.”

“I just can’t Annie, I can’t just end this like that. I’m going to stay in your life whether you like it or not,” announced Julian, making it a vow to himself. That second his phone rang. He saw the orphanage’s number, “Annie,” he mumbled, and immediately answered the phone. “Hello?” he answered anxiously.

“Julian Cheung Chilam, you listen good, I don’t want to lose my daughter, so get your ass down to the airport ASAP and find Annie, and bring her home, don’t let her get on that flight with Kevin, or she’ll be out of both of our lives for good!” declared Benny.

“WHAT?” exclaimed Julian. “Who’s Kevin? What do you mean by airport? Is Annie leaving me for good?”

“STOP QUESTIONING ME AND GO FIND MY DAUGHTER!” he exclaimed, hanging up the phone.

Julian ran to his car and sped to the airport, but was caught in a traffic jam. He was honking his horn like crazy, “Stupid construction,” he cursed. He was so close to the airport, just a few blocks away. “That’s it, Annie can’t wait forever, she’s going to leave soon,” he said to himself. He got out of the car and started running towards the airport. Each plane he saw in the air caused his heart to jump, he felt terrified, afraid that Annie had gotten onto that plane.

He finally made it to the airport, he ran inside looking around anxiously for Annie. He ran and ran around but couldn’t find her, he started yelling her name, “ANNIE! PLEASE DON’T GO! I NEED YOU IN MY LIFE! ANNIE! MARRY ME! I WANT TO GET MARRIED NOW!” he yelled. “ANNIE! DON’T LEAVE ME, PLEASE! I LOVE YOU!” he yelled.

**************

“Ticket please,” the air hostess asked.

Kevin handed her the two tickets.

Annie heard a familiar voice yelling in the distance, she looked around but didn’t see anyone.

“Let’s go baby doll, the flight isn’t going to wait for just you, you aren’t that important,” he teased.

Annie looked at Kevin and smiled, “Let’s go,” she said walking through the doors, stopping one last time to look around, but still no one. She started walking again, but not looking back again.

****************

Julian saw someone in the distance about to board the plane, he ran as fast as he could, shouting her name. The doors closed.

“Sorry sir, you can’t go through,” said the air hostess.

Julian pushed her out of the way and ran through the doors and up to her, hugging her tightly, “Don’t leave me Annie,” he cried.

Someone pulled him away from her, and a fist impacted with his face. “Stay away from my wife!” was all Julian heard before being pulled out of the airport by security. He looked at the girl he hugged, it wasn’t Annie.

*****************

Annie and Kevin got to their seats.

“Kev…can I have the window seat?” Annie asked.

“Course you can baby doll, since you asked so nicely and all,” replied Kevin.

Annie stared out the window saying her goodbyes, “Bye daddy, bye Dicky, bye Louis, bye Tae, bye Ray, bye Frankie, bye Ada, bye Jesse, bye Teresa wherever you are…bye Julian,” she thought as a single tear ran down her cheek.

****************

He was walking along the fence, right by the take off zone, he was mourning over his lost, “Annie,” he whimpered. His heart was filled with pain and despair. He felt a cool breeze passing him slowly, it was one of the jet planes. He turned to look at the plane when he spotted her by a window seat. He saw a tear in her eyes. “ANNIE!” he exclaimed, the plane began to go faster, he ran after the plane calling her name, but the loud turbines drowned his voice.

*****************

Annie looked out the window and saw a small yet familiar figure running after the plane. She stood up staring out the window, “Julian?” she asked.

*****************

“ANNIE! DON’T LEAVE ME! I LOVE YOU!” he yelled still running after the plane.

*****************

Annie didn’t hear a word he was saying but recognized the last three, “I love you,” she whispered.

“Miss, please sit down and put your seatbelt on, we’re about to take off,” said the flight attendant.

Annie sat down and buckled up.

The plane began elevating off the ground.

Annie still stared out the window, Julian was still chasing the plane.

The harbor was the lifting point, Julian was back at the harbor as the plane took off. “ANNIE!” he yelled falling to his knees.

Annie watched him and more tears dripped from her eyes.

***************************************************

"Oh don't be sad, you look so pretty when you're smiling," said Julian.

Annie couldn't help but laugh.

****************************************************

Annie blushed, "You're attracted to me?" she asked.

"Yup," he said. "You know, Annie you look so adorable when you blush, it makes me want to…"

"Makes you want to what?" she asked.

He moved closer to her, "Makes me want to do this," he said before he kissed her.

She responded to his kiss.

******************************************************

"Hello?" she asked.

"Hey," answered a familar voice.

"Julian?" she guessed.

"Yup," he answered.

"Why did you call?" Annie asked.

"Because I missed you and couldn't wait for you to call," he answered.

Annie blushed. Giggles can be heard in the background.

"Where are you?" he asked.

"At the Pool Hall," Annie replied.

"Alright see you soon, Bye," he hung up.

Within 5 minutes Julian entered the Pool Hall and approached Annie.

"Hi," said Julian.

Annie turned around and said, "Hi."

"What no welcome kiss?" he asked.

"Nope," she answered.

He pouted.

"A-Hem," said Ruby.

"Ruby, this is Julian, Julian this is Ruby," introduced Annie.

"He's a major cutie," Ruby replied.

"Why thank you, Ruby, I get that a lot," chuckled Julian.

"Ya what ever I think Frankie was cuter," teased Annie.

Julian had a hurt expression on his face.

"Aww, look Annie you hurt his feelings," said Vicki.

"Then I guess you should call him here, I'll go home," said Julian getting up.

"NO!" screamed Annie grabbing his hand. "I was just kidding."

"Give me a kiss and I won't leave," joked Julian.

Annie blushed and pulled him back into his seat. She quickly kissed him on the cheek.

"OOOOO, our little Annie has a boyfriend," said Teresa pretending to cry.

"Kids they grow up so fast!" sighed Jessica.

"It seems like yesterday she was saying boys are yucky and she's never going to get married," replied Tae.

"I think it was yesterday," laughed Ruby.

"Shut up, don't pick on me, I have black mail on all of you!" yelled Annie.

**************************************

Annie felt hurt and angry at the same time. "YOU! When were you going to tell me? If I never asked about Cecilia you would have never told me!" she screamed. "I get it now, you're just toying with me, playing with my emotions!" she cried. She felt tears about to burst out.

"Annie, listen to me I…" Julian tried to explain.

"NO! I don't want to see you ever again!" cried Annie, as she opened the door and ran off.

Julian ran after her. "Annie, wait let me explain," he called.

Annie kept running, but she couldn't run in high heels and tripped. Julian ran to her aid. "Annie you okay?" he asked, looking at her leg.

"Go away I don't need you!" she yelled.

"Will you let me explain?" asked Julian.

"NO! I don't want to hear anything from you!" replied Annie, turning away from him.

Julian looked at Annie with hurt and love in his eyes. "How am I going to get Annie to listen to me?" thought Julian.

Annie didn't hear Julian say anything so turned around to see if he was still there. The next thing she knew Julian's lips were on her's. She tried her best to push him off her, but ended up kissing him back with force.

They slowly ended the kiss. "Will you listen to me now?" asked Julian.

Annie didn't say anything.

"Annie, I was suppose to go to Taiwan with Cecilia two days ago, and I was planning to…until…until I met you," said Julian. "I really like you, you give me a special feeling that I've never had before. When I met you, I decided to stay in Hong Kong longer, to see if things were possible between us, to see if we were compatible."

"You could have at least told me that you were planning to leave Hong Kong!" complained Annie.

"Well I was going to tell you tonight, right after…" began Julian.

"Right after what?" asked Annie.
"Right after, I asked you to be my girlfriend," replied Julian.

***************************************

Annie and Julian skied by them. She stopped a couple miles ahead. "Why aren't we like that anymore?" she asked Julian.

"That's possible," said Julian with a sly grin on his face.

"Are you trying to take advantage of me out in the middle of nowhere?" she asked approaching him.

"Thanks for the idea," said Julian pulling her into his embrace and kissed her. "You know we can't do that, that much anymore, because everywhere we go there are people we know teasing us," announced Julian.

"Then this is our opportunity to make up for lost time," smiled Annie. "No one's around."

****************************************

Julian looked around the room. He walked up to Annie. "Close your eyes," he said. Annie listened to what he said. Julian put a necklace around her neck.

Annie opened her eyes and saw a silver heart with a little diamond in the middle. "Thank you, I love it! I love you!" she said jumping up and down and giving him a peck on the lips.

******************************************

"Today's your birthday, stupid," cried Annie. "I took the day off to surprise you. I wanted to make you a romantic dinner. I went shopping earlier, then my car broke down. I didn't want to ruin your stupid surprise, so I called Raymond to help me. He drove me home. I told him I was going to take a nice long bath before I get everything set up. I must've dropped my phone in his car. He came up to give it back. I do everything for you and you get angry at me, and want to leave me. What the hell is wrong with you," sobbed Annie hitting him.

Julian looked at her and hugged her tighter. "I'm sorry sweetie, I didn't mean to. It's just that I've been so busy with the company and I couldn't spend anytime with you. I felt like I was neglecting you. I was afraid that you were angry at me and find someone else. I just missed you so much that it made me crazy. I'm sorry, I thought you didn't love me anymore, I thought I lost you," said Julian apologizing to her.

Annie kept slapping his chest. Her crying stopped a bit. Julian held her hand to make her stop hitting his chest, he brought her hand up to his face. "If you really hate me and want to relieve your stress than slap me. I know I'm a jackass," he said.
Annie just shook her head and hugged him tightly.

He looked at her lovingly and kissed her. The kiss grew deeper and deeper by the second. He picked her up and carried her into her room, placed her on her bed and closed the door.

*****************************************

Julian snuck up from behind her and picked her up and showered her with kisses. Annie just giggled at his actions. The more she laughed the more he kissed her. "Okay, that's enough," chuckled Annie.

Julian ignored her and continued kissing her face. Annie struggled away from him. He began chasing her around the apartment. Julian finally caught her. They both fell on top of the couch laughing. Julian who fell on top of her, stared at her lovingly. Annie looked back into his dark brown eyes smiling.

"You're bad," announced Annie. "You left me sleeping by myself downstairs," she said trying to push him off.

"We can sleep now," offered Julian, not wanting to get up.

"Nope I'm not tired," she replied as she pushed him hard, causing him to roll off her.

Julian sat up and asked, "What do you want to do?"

"I want to..." said Annie seductively, as she began caressing his cheek.

"Hmm?" he asked.

"I want to eat!" she giggled as she pushed him away.

Julian looked at her and laughed. "Okay," he said. "I knew you'd be hungry when you woke up so I cooked something for you."

Annie looked at him in a strange way. "You cooked?" she asked with an unsure tone.

"Yup, and I want you to eat every single bite of it," he said.

"Do you want to kill me or something?" exclaimed Annie. "Last time I ate your cooking I ended up with food poisoning."

"I'm kidding, I ordered take out," chuckled Julian.

Annie sighed in relief. "Then what are you waiting for?" she asked. "Let's eat! I'm starved. I'm so weak I have no energy," announced Annie.

"Yes, we should eat, so we'll have the strength and energy for later," he said smiling.

Annie slapped his head gently, "You have a perverted mind! That's all you ever think about," said Annie pretending to sound angry.

Julian just smiled at her innocently.

“Can’t I come to see my beautiful girlfriend?” asked Julian.

“No,” retorted Annie. “She’s sick and tired of seeing you.”

“Is that so?” asked Julian lifting his right eyebrow. “That’s not what you said last night,” he teased hugging her.

Annie slapped him playfully. “Shut up,” she said blushing.

“Hey! No mushy stuff, majority of the people in this room is single, so if you want to be romantic and kissy, kissy I suggest that you two go get a room,” announced Grace.

“Great idea,” said Julian, pretending to pull Annie into the nearest room.

Cecilia walked up to Annie, “Should I start calling you sister in-law now?” she teased.

Annie turned and looked at Julian.

“We’re still young, why get tied down now? Our life is perfect the way it is. Marriage is something you do when you’re reaching your thirties,” laughed Julian. “And it’s not like, we plan to marry…well at least not anytime soon.”

Annie felt disappointed, she didn’t hope to get married right away, but she wanted to know if Julian had planned anything for their future. She was hurt hearing Julian’s words, but being the absent-minded boyfriend he’s always been, he didn’t notice. She pulled away from him, and went to sit beside Charmaine.

“What’s the matter?” Julian asked her.

“We’re in front of the others, don’t act so immature,” she said.

“What? I always act like this,” answered Julian sounding confused.

“Forget it,” replied Annie.

Julian looked at her in a confused manner.

Julian sat up and gave her a peck on the cheek.

“What was that for?” Annie asked, wiping her cheek.

“For smiling,” he announced. “When I see you smile, I just have to kiss you.”

“Great, another one of your schemes to take advantage of me,” announced Annie.

“If that doesn’t work, then I might just have to think up other ways,” smirked Julian, pulling her on the bed, on top of him.

“Let me go,” giggled Annie. “You’re all sweaty and smelly right now.”

“We can bathe in the hot tub then,” announced Julian, picking her up ready to throw her into the hot tub, with her clothes on.

“STOP! DON’T!” she laughed. “I’m still wearing my clothes!”

“So you want me to strip you?” Julian asked, as he threw her on the bed and laid on top of her.

“NO! Go away!” she laughed. “Leave me alone! I don’t want you!”

“But I want you,” declared Julian, kissing her passionately.

“Annie!” Julian called remembering there past. “You can’t leave me just like that!”

~On the plane~

Annie was crying softly to herself as Julian’s figure became smaller and smaller.

“You okay, baby doll?” Kevin asked.

Annie shook her head. She felt miserable, heartbroken, and to top it off nauseous. She quickly wiped her tears away, “I feel dizzy, and nauseous, do you have any Gravol?” she asked.

Kevin asked the flight attendant for some.

“Thank you,” Annie whispered, taking the Gravol and some sleeping pills.

Soon enough she was sleeping like a baby, her head was tilted, and leaning on Kevin’s shoulder.
