Chapter 119:
Then Tae stepped out from no where holding a bouquet of roses. He approached Teresa and held it out to her, “I love you.”
Teresa stared him in the eyes and...*smack* she slapped him across the face as angry tears began to build up in her eyes. She turned to her office secretary, “I’m going on a break,” she said grabbing her jacket from the coat rack, and practically running out of the clinic.
Tae ran after her and caught her arm, “Teresa, listen I know you’re scared, and you don’t know who I am and you don’t remember anything about us,” began Tae. “But you need to know only one thing, that I love you and need you in my life.”
Teresa glared into his loving eyes, she pulled herself away from him roughly, keeping away at a distance, “Need me? Love me?” she asked. “Go find Bing Bing.” Teresa walked away from him, with tears flooding her cheeks.
Tae froze completely.
~Flash Back~
Teresa pushed him hard, causing him to fall backwards, tripping over the chair he had knocked down earlier. She kicked him hard in the stomach. “I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN!” she yelled, running out of the office.
~End~
The way she looked at him, the way she smacked him, her words, and the way she walk away.
She was the same, the same as when she left him. Teresa, she remembered everything. His heart stopped, in satisfaction that she remembered him, his love, their love, but it in dissatisfaction, when he realized that she had a reason, to hate him, to strangle him, to basically kill him now. In just a few words, she managed to shatter the last of his hopes for a reunion.
For the past three years, he’s been searching high and low for her where abouts, but being the cute, adorable, forgetful guy he was, he’s never thought about what he’d do when he found her. What he’d do to keep her, to make her forgive him. He’s been so overwhelmed with his search for her, to ever dare to think about how much he actually hurt her.
He never thought about how much she cared, how much he meant to her. How much she trusted him. How he killed her heart. Before it was always him always telling her how much he loved her and how great she was, just to make her feel loved, only once did she tell him she loved him, but that was enough. He’s only been thinking about how guilty he was, how he made her leave his side, it never occurred to her that it scarred her deeply, it wasn’t until he saw her tears once again. It reminded him about that day when she left him. She was more hurt than angry. He felt so stupid, what the hell was he thinking? What caused him to do something so idiotic? Why was he such an idiot?
He was a complete jerk about it, he doesn’t deserve to ever see her again. He was in deep thought as he started walking in the opposite direction of Teresa. He heard a shriek, it sounded like Teresa, he jolted back in the direction he heard the shriek come from. He ran passed an empty ally he saw two guys attacking Teresa, one held her down, where the other one just finished ripping open her blouse and undressed her from waist down.
She was trying to scream but couldn’t, since one guy had his hand over her mouth, She started feeling faint and dizzy, she tried to keep her consciousness but couldn’t the last thing she saw before she passed out, was Tae.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Teresa opened her eyes, she was in a dark room, her vision was blurred. The worst entered her mind, she checked her clothes, everything was normal, except that her blouse was torn, but then there was a jean jacket wrapped around her, she recognized it, it belonged to Tae. Teresa scanned the room, it was just her examining room, where she checked her patients (animals).
She got up and tried to walk to the door, but it was hard to stay balanced. By the door she heard Tae and Tavia talk.
Tavia was tending to Tae’s wounds.
His left eye was all purple, is lip was bleeding, the side of his eye brows were scraped, his right hand was in a bucket of ice. Teresa’s dinner steak, was on his purple eye.
“This things freezing,” exclaimed Tae, referring to his hand in the bucket. “SHIT!”
“Keep it down, you’re going to wake my sister up,” answered Tavia. “The ice is good for you,” she said, wiping his lip with a wet cloth. “You’re either really brave or really stupid. Don’t think I don’t appreciate you helping my sister, because I really do, I love her tons too. But it is suicide for you to take on two guys at once.”
“I’m a police officer, even if it wasn’t Teresa I would’ve helped,” answered Tae, modestly, “It’s my job.”
“Sure, but you wouldn’t have nearly bet the guy half to death, if it was just any ordinary girl. The cops had to drag you off that guy,” said Tavia.
“I’m not going to let another person hurt her, I owe her. I love her so much, but I blew it. If it weren’t for me, then Teresa would’ve never ran away, she would’ve never gotten amnesia, she wouldn’t have almost gotten raped. The last thing I’ve ever wanted was to see her cry, that was what I dreaded most in all my life, but in the end, I’m the cause of most her tears,” replied Tae.
“You’re a good guy,” Tavia said, patting his back.
“If I was a good guy then Teresa wouldn’t hate me,” answered Tae.
“No guy is perfect,” answered Tavia. “She doesn’t hate you, she just can’t forgive you.”
“And she has every right too, I hate myself,” replied Tae. “But I still need her in my life, I need her so much. You don’t understand how I feel about her.”
“If you loved her so much, why did you cheat her?”
Teresa listened carefully, she needed to know why, also.
Tae stared at the floor, “I was all down and gloomy, Teresa was in depression. Things were really bad, with everyone, we went out drinking at some disco one night, and I had too much, I don’t remember what happened next, just found myself in a cheap hotel room,” replied Tae.
“Why didn’t you tell you’re my sister?” Tavia asked.
“Would you?” Tae asked. “She’d kill me then and there.”
“When she found out she didn’t,” Tavia said.
Tae sighed, “I know I should’ve told her but…I just thought as long as I never see that woman again then Teresa wouldn’t have to go through the pain.”
“But…”
“But the girl she…she kept threatening me,” replied Tae. “First she said she was trying to kill herself, I couldn’t just leave her. But I never touched her again…but your sister found out, and that slut exaggerated things…she just came out of nowhere saying she was pregnant, and Ada was there, and Teresa stormed in, everything happened so fast, I couldn’t think at all. And I said some really stupid things that made her angrier. And she left…”
“You should’ve told Teresa, she would’ve understood,” answered Tavia.
“I was going to tell her, but I never got the chance,” Tae replied. “She’d just hate me even more. Like Vicki said, I’m a selfish bastard, while Teresa was mourning Jessica’s death I was out with another woman. I’m pathetic…” answered Tae.
“Before Annie left, she hated me, for causing her closest friend to leave, she didn’t even talk to me. I’m like an out cast, me and Julian.”
“Maybe Teresa will think things over now, if she didn’t love you anymore, she wouldn’t have slapped you,” Tavia said.
Teresa sneezed.
“She’s up,” Tavia mouthed.
Tae stared at the door, but couldn’t really see her.
Tavia stood up, “Well you’re still a jerk! Guys suck!” she announced, stomping on Tae’s foot, so he started moaning in pain.
Tavia left. She went to the door where Teresa was, “Sis, I bet him up for you sis, take a few more whacks at him,” she pushed Teresa out to the lobby, where Tae was.
“Teresa, you should be resting still,” Tae said.
Teresa sat down in front of him, she took off the jacket and handed it to Tae, “Thanks…” she said staring at the floor.
Tae took his hand out of the ice bucket, and stared at her. “You don’t need to thank me,” replied Tae. “No one can touch you, I promised I’d never let another guy assult you like that again,” he said reminding her about the past, when Gordon Lam, Frankie’s cousin, assaulted her at least three times.
Teresa looked away, her arms were securely wrapped around her self.
Tae placed the jacket around her again, “You’re going to catch a cold. That’s not good,” Tae said. “You rarely got sick, but once you do its really bad,” he replied.
Teresa looked at him.
“You look thinner,” he said caressing her cheek, “Have you been over working again? You have a tendency to forget to eat once you start working too much…” Tae reminded.
Teresa closed her eyes, tears started rolling down her cheeks. She shook her head, and started crying softly.
Tae hugged her, “I’m so sorry,” answered Tae. “I’m sorry, don’t cry…” he said hugging her.
Teresa slapped his chest, “I hate you,” she cried. “I hate you so much! I want to kill you.”
“Kill me, do anything you want with me, I deserve to die,” replied Tae. “I don’t…I won’t let anyone hurt you. Only you can hurt me, okay…”
Teresa cried on his shoulders.

Nicky placed a single stemmed red rose down by a tombstone, “We weren’t serious in the beginning Yoyo, but you grew on me and I grew on you and it became serious. Since you told me you were pregnant, I was determined to change for you, and I did. There 11 months, were the best in my life. You were my longest relationship. The closest I’ve ever and will ever come to love. “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of Brooke…I’ll take real good care of her.” He stared at the picture for a while, then left.
He’d met Yoyo two years ago at Jimmy’s bachelor party, she was a waitress he was hitting on. They spent a few nights together, and were on, off for a really long time. Though he still dated other girls, he stopped seeing her for a while. He’d only bumped into her last February and they had hit it off again. They started seeing each other again, and in April she dropped the bomb on him. He had a daughter named Brooke. He spent the next eight months together, living like a happy family. When one night a drunk driver drove crazily, and ran her over.
Nicky picked up his daughter from the sitter’s and left Taiwan, he decided to go to Vancouver to help his mother run her supermarket.

Ruby was just got home, she had to work late, cause she and Amanda were working on a very big project. She fell back on the couch, relaxing. But there was something wrong…everything was quiet. That was a really rare occasion. “Jay? Ken? Kell?” Ruby called from the couch. Usually they’d be fighting or something, and bickering. “Edison probably took them out,” Ruby thought. Ruby sat back to relax. A thought popped in her mind, “The kids are out and so is Edison,” she said talking to herself. “Bubble bath!” she squealed, running up the stairs, in to her room, and started the hot tube, that was in her room.
She lit a few scented candles, turned on some soothing classical music, she undressed and got into the tub. She sat back and closed her eyes. She had her pool pillow in there, so she was beginning to fall asleep.
A long while had passed.
Out of nowhere, she felt two muscular arms wrap around her.
Ruby shrieked, struggling, it was so sudden, she grabbed the wine bottle, that she happened to be right by the edge, broke it and about to stab the person with it.
“RUBY!” exclaimed Edison, backing off, “It’s just me, your husband…” he tried reminding her.
Ruby dropped the broken bottle, and held onto her chest, “Are you crazy? Are you trying to scare me to death?” she exclaimed.
Edison wrapped his arms around her, “Ruby, keep it down, I just got the kids sleeping,” he said.
Ruby tried to pull away from him.
“Nah-uh, sweetheart,” Edison announced, pulling her closer to him. “Don’t you remember what day it is today?”
“What?” Ruby asked.
Edison, ran his hands through her hair, and caressed her cheek, he brought their lips together and kissed her, tenderly.
“What are you doing?” Ruby asked, in a little giggle, “What if the kids walked in?”
“Don’t worry I gave them some sleeping pills,” Edison cooed in her ears.
“You what?” exclaimed Ruby, pushing him away.
“I’m kidding,” replied Edison, “They’re at Amanda’s…it’s just you and me tonight,” he answered kissing her again.
“What’s so special about tonight?” Ruby asked, in between kisses.
“Tonight...is…when…you…realized…you…can’t…live…without…me,” he replied. “When you choose me over Jimmy and Alec, and when we first…” he chuckled childishly.
Ruby slapped him, “You have a dirty little mind.”
“Well tonight is special to me,” Edison announced.
“Well too bad mister we aren’t doing anything,” Ruby said.
Edison picked her up, “We’ll see about that,” he said.
Edison placed her on the bed and kissed her.
Ruby pulled away from the kiss, “Did you make sure you packed Sally, for Kelly?”
“Don’t worry, she never leaves anywhere with out that doll,” answered Edison. “Just forget about the kids for now…”
“Jason was coughing this morning, he’s catching a cold,” Ruby said, the next time Edison took a breath.
“If you mention any of the kids again, I’m going to make you live up to our agreement in the beginning, 5 kids,” Edison announced.
Ruby kept quiet, for about two seconds, “But Ken…”
Edison looked at Ruby and smiled cheekily, “So I see someone here wants more children,” he smirked.
“NO!” laughed Ruby, as Edison pinned her down.

Frankie just logged onto the computer, he’d received another email from Annie, for the past seven years they’ve kept in touch by email. Frankie had visited her a few times in Australia, when he was away on “business.”
(Email)
So you and Kenix are finally going to tie the not, huh? Finally…I was beginning to think that you still had a thing for me. It’s about time, Kenix is a nice girl. Things here are still the same, my shop is doing great, not the most fancy, or big business, but it’s mine, something I could call my own. Something I built from scratch. Life is good. When I’m not working, I get to spend time with Julie and Allan. Whenever daddy visits he says she’s an exact replica of me. Seeing Julie is like watching myself grow up again. She’s still as bossy as ever. She’s the rebellious child, like mother like daughter, huh? While Allan is my sweet little boy. He’s a bit of a smartarse, I can’t believe I just called my son that, but its true. He’s sweet, an adorable. He does really well in school. Thus Julie makes him do her homework. The kids want to know when the next time we’ll see you is, they say you owe them loads of presents. Well…it’s become a yearly ritual, Kevin did it again, I just can’t stand him sometimes. Anywho best wishes to you and your wife.
Luv Always,
A. Man
PS: I’ve attached a picture of the kids for you to see.
Annie’s been going by her mother’s maiden name, to avoid any of one of her friends.
Frankie shook his head. He clicked opened the link, it opened to a picture of Annie, Kevin, Julie and Allan, and then just one of Annie and the two children. Frankie started typing up a reply.
I haven’t proposed yet, don’t jinx it. But I sincerely hope to see you there at the wedding in November. Julie is beautiful, and Allan…well Allan looks a lot like his father. Kevin did it again. Wow…what’s your excuse this time? It can’t be “I’m pregnant,” anymore, or “I want my children to grow a bit more first,” or “I want my career to launch.” You’re running out of excuses. You really need to decide if you’re able to move on or not, so the poor guy doesn’t wait for you forever. He’s a decent guy. Though I prefer Julian’s company over Kevin’s. The pictures were really something, since you’re so kind to share such wonderful pictures, I’ll send you one of me and Kenix. If I am lucky enough to be married to Kenix, I really do hope you come, its about time don’t you think?
Yours truly
Frankie
PS: Luv always A. Man? That sounds gay don’t you think? What would Kenix say if she saw this?
Frankie attached the file photo of Kenix and him to the email, with a few other pictures, while they were loading, the phone rang, he turned off the computer screen, and went to answer the phone. It was the hospital, one of his long term patients had just gone into the ER, he rushed out of the house completely forgetting about the email. He left a note for Kenix.
Emergency at the hospital, be back late. Don’t wait up.
Luv
Frankie
He scurried out of the house.
Later that night when Kenix came home, she found the note from Frankie. She took a bath and made something to eat. There was nothing on television so she decided to surf the net for a little while. She sat at the computer table she saw that he’d left the computer on, so just switched on the screen. She saw Frankie working on an email, she minimized the windows and started surfing the net.
She’d found something fun, and decided to email it to Ada in HK. She opened the outlook explorer typed up an email to Ada and sent it. After that she closed all the windows she’d open. She saw a few pictures of her and Frankie, and everyone else, attached to a file. She was going to send the email for him, but noticed the words, “I HAVEN’T PROPOSED YET!”
Being around Ruby for so many years, she decided to read on. She wasn’t quite sure at the moment, but she had a hunch who Frankie was talking to. She read the original letter from A. Man, indeed her hunch became more and more realistic. She looked at the two pictures and it was indeed Annie.
When Frankie came home it suddenly hit him that he had not sent the email, nor close the letters and pictures. He tiptoed passed the bedroom and found what looked to be Kenix sleeping. He hurried to the computer turned on the screen. Kenix had left everything exactly the same. He sent the email, and deleted the evidence, he closed the screen, and there it was the background was a picture of Annie, Julian and Allan.
“What the…” Frankie said staring at the background. He turned around and by the door Kenix was standing there, arms crossed across her chest.
“Shit…” he mumbled.
Kenix approached him, “So uh…what else have you been hiding from me?” she asked.
Frankie looked at her, “Don’t tell the others,” was all he could say. He can already hear Annie screaming and yelling at him.
“And why not?” Kenix asked. “They have the right to know…”
“She doesn’t want them to know,” answered Frankie. “She said I ever told the others, she’ll just cut me off. Then none of us will know her whereabouts.”
“You do,” answered Kenix. “It said next time you visit. Everyone’s been worried sick about her for the last seven years, and all this time you knew where she was?”
“No, she only told me her exact whereabouts a couple years ago,” replied Frankie.
“Why did she keep in contact you, but not anyone else?” Kenix asked.
“Because…” Frankie trailed off.
“You and Annie…” began Kenix.
“No!” Frankie announced. “There is nothing between her and I. It’s just I know the full story. I know things that would cause everyone to kill Julian, even he himself would feel guilty forever.”
Kenix looked at him.
“Promise me you won’t tell anyone else,” Frankie said. “I’ve come close so many times, she’s going to come back soon…”
“Let’s hear it,” replied Kenix.
Frankie nodded. “From Vicki and Cecilia you all know part of the story, there’s a lot more. The marriage thing was silly, even she admitted it herself, but she couldn’t control herself at the time. When she caught Julian with another woman, that did hurt her a lot, she would’ve still broke up with him, but that wasn’t the main reason for her to leave. She was pregnant, and she didn’t plan on telling him, ever, she was indeed angry with him though…” said Frankie.
“How do you tie in with all this?” Kenix asked.
“Because that night you and Ruby left to go home to London, here, Julian and Annie got into an argument, it was just a little fight, and Annie broke up with him then and there, out of her hissy fit. But he wouldn’t let her go, he was grabbing on to her arm tightly, they were struggling and everything, Annie ended up bumping into the coffee table, endangering her pregnancy, she was in pain but she still managed to kick Julian out. That idiot, she was in pain but he just left like that. I resent him for doing so. I don’t know why, but I received a phone call from Annie, but when I answered no one answered I just heard her breathing heavily. So I went to check her out, I found her unconscious so took her to the hospital. She was okay, it was lucky nothing happened to the baby. It was then she decided to officially break up with Julian, but no matter how hard she tried she couldn’t and wouldn’t be able to escape from him. At the time Kevin was around, so she left with him.” explained Frankie. “It’s actually my fault for planting the bloody thought into her mind. I told her that Julian still was her baby’s father, and no matter how much she avoids him, her stomach with continue to grow and grow, and he’ll eventually know…She emailed me a few days later, telling me not to worry and to comfort her dad. It took me until Christmas to get her to call up Uncle Benny,” explained Frankie.
“But that picture shows two kids, so does that mean she and Kevin…”
“No she just had twins, a boy and a girl,” answered Frankie. He looked at Kenix, “Promise you won’t tell the others.”
Kenix nodded.
Frankie smiled he stood up and hugged her, kissed her cheek, “You’re the best.” Something hit him again, “You read both emails?” he asked.
Kenix looked away innocently.
He smiled, “So…”
“So…” copied Kenix.
“Yes or no?”
“No,” Kenix teased.
“What? Why?” Frankie asked.
“What, why, what?” Kenix asked.
“Why won’t you marry me?” he asked.
“Me not marry you?” Kenix answered, “Why you never asked…”
“Kenix will you marry me,” he asked still hugging her.
Kenix looked at the ground and nodded.
Frankie smiled, and picked her up, “I love you,” he said kissing her.

+A few months later, summer time+
“Okay, you two be good while mommy’s away, okay?” Annie announced, to her two children. “Listen to Uncle Kevin, and mommy will be back with presents,” she kissed each on the cheek.
“Where are you going?” Julie asked.
Annie stared into space, “Hong Kong,” she answered.
“Why?” she questioned.
“For work,” answered Annie. “I’ll be back in three days,” she promised.
“Can’t I come?” Allan asked.
“No, you have school, and I’m only going for business nothing else,” replied Annie.
“What kind of business?” asked Julie.
“I’m meeting the landowner of the boutique and our home, she’s in Hong Kong, I want to buy it back from her for good,” explained Annie.
“It is ours,” said Julie.
“No, we’ve rented it,” said Annie. “But it will be ours.”
“Annie…” Kevin called.
Annie looked at him, “Thanks so much for watching them Kev,” Annie said, giving him a little hug, and a peck on the cheek.
Kevin did the same, but instead of her cheek he kissed her lips quickly, like what a innocent child would do.
Annie covered her lips as soon as he kissed her. Annie looked at the floor, “I…I need to go now,” she said practically running off. She stopped at the gate and looked back at her kids, she waved, “Be good!”
“Have a safe flight!” Kevin yelled to her, while Julie and Allan waved goodbye to their mother.
Three days was the longest Annie told herself she’d stay in Hong Kong. She was going to stay in a hotel the first night. The second day is when she meets with the land lady, after that she’ll visit Jessica, then her dad, stay the night at the orphanage, third day hop on a flight and go home.

Julian lived alone now, Tae had gone to New Zealand to be with Teresa, and Dicky, he officially moved in with Gigi.
Things between Dicky and Gigi were pretty steady, not too fast not to slow. They saw each other everyday. Things were always either fun or romantic.
Gigi was on her vacation, while Dicky stayed home, due to a cold he had all week, though it had already cleared, but he just wanted to stay home since it was almost the weekend after all.
Gigi’s been taking care of him all week, and had started to catch symptoms of his fever, such as dizziness, feeling hot and cold at the same time. When she wrapped herself under a blanket she’d get too hot, when she took off the blanket she was too cold. She was just fussy.
Dicky sat beside her, “How you feeling?” he asked.
“Horrible,” answered Gigi. “It’s all your fault,” she slapped his arm.
”ME? How is it my fault?” Dicky asked.
“You…you made me sick,” replied Gigi. “Giving all your nasty germs to me.”
“What, I only kissed you,” replied Dicky, kissing her cheek.
Gigi pushed him away, “You’ll catch it again, then you’ll give it back to me, then it’ll start all over,” she whined.
Dicky laughed. “Aww…you’re so cute when you whine.” His arm was already around her. “So what do you say if I cooked tonight?” he asked.
“Eww…” Gigi teased, “I’m sick you’re suppose to spoil me, take care of me, not poison me.”
“I’m going to cook it, you’re going to eat it and you’re going to like it!” announced Dicky.
Gigi pouted childishly.
He wrapped the blanket around her, “Lay down, take a nap, you’ll feel a lot better later.” He kissed her forehead. “I’ll go start on cooking dinner, okay?”
Gigi nodded.
Dicky went to start on dinner, while Gigi took a nap.
At about seven there was a knock on the door.
Dicky went to answer the door, once he opened it and saw the person standing there, he was completely shocked. He stepped out of the apartment and closed the door, so they didn’t disturb Gigi. “What are you doing here?” Dicky asked.
Athena smiled, she looked more and more like his old Athena, the one he had loved so much once. “What no welcome hug?” she asked.
Dicky stared at the ground.
“I just want you to be the first to know,” she began.
Dicky looked at her.
“I’ve been released from the insane asylum,” she announced. “They’ve said I’ve recovered.” She jumped up and hugged him.
Dicky didn’t hug her, he pulled back, and looked at her, “That’s great, I’m happy for you,” he held out his hand for a handshake.
Athena studied his appearance, “What’s wrong?” she asked. “You don’t seem to happy about it.”
“No…no, I am…I’m glad that you’ve recovered, it only took what…seven years?” he laughed, bashfully.
Athena eyed him from head to toe, “You still look good, I see you grew your hair again,” she said.
Dicky nodded.
“You look a lot cuter with hair,” said Athena. “A lot more like my old Dicky.”
Dicky kept glancing at the door.
“Am I interrupting something?” Athena asked.
“No…” lied Dicky.
“So can we go out and celebrate?” Athena asked.
Dicky looked at her and then at the door again, “Wait for me downstairs while I grab something,” he said.
Athena nodded and went downstairs.
Dicky entered the apartment, he turned off the stove. Gigi was still napping. He kissed her, “I’m going out to meet an old friend, I left your dinner on the kitchen table, if you’re hungry heat it up and eat, okay?” he said.
Gigi nodded, “Come home soon,” she answered still half asleep.
“I will don’t worry, it’ll be quick,” he replied, getting up to leave.
He went downstairs to meet up with Athena, they went to a little café to have drinks.
“So what did you say you wanted to talk about?” Dicky asked, trying to get this over with.
Athena shook her head, “I just said I want to celebrate with you,” she answered.
“Right,” replied Dicky. “Have you told Ada or Kenix yet?”
Athena shook her head, “They want nothing to do with me.”
“That can’t be true,” replied Dicky.
“You’re the only person I think still consider me a friend,” replied Athena.
Dicky looked away.
“I know you hate me for taking Jessica away, don’t you?” Athena asked.
Dicky stared at his drink, “It isn’t your fault, you weren’t well. Let’s just leave things like that.”
There was a silence.
“Can you help me?” Athena asked.
“With what?” Dicky asked.
“I need you to be my boyfriend…” announced Athena.

(Star Bar)
Julian entered the bar, like he did every other day. He went straight to the bar, and drunk, really drunk. He’d usually end up being thrown out onto the streets early the next morning. It seemed like everyone were all in couples now. He did what he did everyday, and that was drink his sorrows away.
Everything was his fault he had to be so stubborn. If he had threw his pride aside, and chased after her, begging for forgiveness. If he let her know that he still loved her so much. If he had given into her, agreed to marrying her, then none of this would’ve happened. She was probably off somewhere now, living a wonderful, happy, romantic, erotic life with that Kevin guy and it was all his fault he had pushed her away, into the arms of another.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The landlady, had rescheduled and told Annie to meet her at the Star Bar, at 8 that night. Annie sat impatiently waiting for the lady to come. She ended up staying there until almost nine when the lady called and said something had come up, and she couldn’t meet with Annie until the day after tomorrow. It was still early and since she was there she might as well get a drink, and hang out for a while, it’s been a real long time since she had been here. She had a lot of memories at this old place. She looked around…and thought back….
~Flash back~
(Her first kiss)
"You seem different from before," said Julian.
"What do you mean?" asked Annie.
"I don't know," replied Julian. "You seemed so…so,"
"So what?" asked Annie with a smile on her face.
Her smile caused Julian to smile, "You seem so open and free here, you don't seem nervous like you were earlier tonight."
"Really?" she asked. "Is it that good thing or a bad thing?"
"A good thing, I like you how you are right now," he answered.
"So you didn’t like me before?" asked Annie trying to sound mad.
"No, that's not what I meant," said Julian.
"So what did you mean?" she asked curiously.
"Well, I was trying to say that, I thought you were just a cute, sweet and shy girl, now I see this other side of you, which makes me even more attracted to you," said Julian.
Annie blushed, "You're attracted to me?" she asked.
"Yup," he said. "You know, Annie you look so adorable when you blush, it makes me want to…"
"Makes you want to what?" she asked.
He moved closer to her, "Makes me want to do this," he said before he kissed her.
She responded to his kiss.
~End~
She approached the bar.
By now Julian had his head on the counter, with him mumbling to the song that was playing.
(O-Town’s I Showed Her, played in the background)
"I Showed Her"
It's catching up to me right now
Everything that I've said
The night I left her there
When I said I wanted out
I was angry and upset
And at the time I could care less about staying there
I had to prove I didn't care
As much as she thought I did
[Chorus:]
I showed her
I let my pride take me
Far away from the only woman I loved
I showed her
Now she has found someone new
And her life will go on
And I'm all alone
But I showed her
Oh oh oh
I hate that she's in love
But it took a while for her to get over the hurt
Now I know that I messed up
I was trying to give us time
But I see she took that time to find somebody else
What happened to the things she felt for me
Am I really a part of her past
[Chorus:]
I showed her
I let my pride take me far away
From the only woman I loved
I showed her
Now she has found someone new
And her life will go on
And I'm all alone
But I showed her
Woah oh oh's
[Chorus]
Now she has found someone new
And her life will go on
And I'm all alone
But I showed her
Julian felt that this was all about him and how he screwed his love life up, losing the one he cared for so much. He was practically banging his head on the counter.
On the other side of the bar, Annie had finished half her bottle of beer, she didn’t want to get herself wasted like that freak on the other side trying to kill himself, by banging his head on counter. The song got Annie to start thinking about him too. She paid and got up, walking past the buffoon who was banging his head against the table.
Julian smelt a particular scent, it was the Tommy Girl Perfume, he recognized it, because Annie had been wearing it since high school, he looked up and around. He stood up and followed the scent. He saw a woman leave the bar he quickly ran after the girl.
“Annie!” he exclaimed grabbing her arm. He looked at her disappointedly, It wasn’t Annie, but she wore the same type of perfume as Annie. He sat in front of the bar, now banging his head against the brick wall. Why did he continuously hallucinate? Why couldn’t it be her? Why was Tae and Teresa able to meet up again, and reconcile, while he had no chance whatsoever of finding Annie. Julian was banging his head pretty hard, that it started bleeding.
At that moment Annie came out, there was something blocking the door, she pushed it open with one hard swing, and left the bar. She called a taxi. When it arrived she turned around to have one look at the bar, when she noticed a familiar motionless body on the floor. Annie approched him. As she drew closer and closer, the more she recognized that person, “Julian?” she called.
“Annie…don’t leave me, come home,” he mumbled.
Annie stared at him for a long while. It wasn’t until a couple were leaving the bar and had stomped on Julian did Annie made a sudden movement. She started yelling at the two for walking so carelessly. After a few more people trip over Julian, did Annie helped him up and took him back to the hotel in the cab.
Julian was cuddled up like a baby, he looked like Allan. His head was on Annie’s lap, and hugged one of her arms.
It was hard to get Julian out of the car, but she somehow managed to. At the moment she completely forgot about their break up, she just saw him as her lovable Julian, that she had to take care of.
“Come on Jules,” Annie said. “We’re almost There.”
While walking down the hall to the room, Julian stopped walking, he held Annie’s hand, he looked her sincerely in the eyes, he repeated the first verse of the song he heard earlier. He then hugged her, as she had just unlocked the door to her hotel room. “Please Annie, don’t go, please,” he begged. “Let’s get married, let’s get married now. I’ve waited, I’ve waited for you for seven years. Don’t, don’t make me suffer anymore, don’t make us suffer. I know you missed me too,” he announced.
“Julian let go of me,” she said. “People are staying, get into the room!” she declared as if talking to one of her children.
Julian dragged her into the room and slammed the door shut, he pinned her up against the door, his face only millimeters from hers. “Annie…” he said in the most sweetest, most sincere tone, she’s ever heard. He didn’t seem to be drunk anymore.
“Julian…” she whispered, “Let me go…”
“What if I don’t,” he said in an even lower tone. “What if I keep you forever?”
“No…No Julian, I’m not going through this with you again,” she said calmly, trying to keep her cool.
Julian caressed her cheek, “I’m not giving you an option,” he said. “I don’t care what it takes, I’m not letting you slip away from me this time,” he answered, slowly bringing their lips together.
Annie stood still in his embrace, each and every kiss sent shivers down her spine. She couldn’t fight back, nor did she want to.
Julian pulled back and just stared at her without saying a word. His broken heart, dying soul, could clearly be seen, and yet the way he looked at her, made her feel complete. Julian just hugged her again, tightly in his embrace, as if he was scared, scared that she’d soon disappear, as if it was another one of his tormenting dreams, when she was in his arms one minute and disappears in the next.
Annie felt all the love, emotions, the attraction, that she had for him when they first met. Their bond. She could sense that he was afraid, by his actions, his words, but most importantly his heart. She couldn’t compress her ever-longing desire for his love, any longer she hugged him back with almost equal force, there were already tears running down her cheeks. She was sobbing quietly. Her heart was aching more than it had ever, and she was in his arms. The pain she felt in her heart was indescribable.
They stayed in the same stance for the longest time, still hugging each other tightly.
Neither knew when exactly, but they were drawn into a deep passionate kiss, one thing lead to the other, and they began expressing they’re love in an even more physical way.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Julian awoke at dawn, he just startled, he stared up at the ceiling, to took him at least an hour to become fully aware of the occurrence of the previous night. He turned to his right and sighed in relief, it was Annie, he wasn’t dreaming, it really was her. He wrapped his arms around her once again and hugged her, which much of his force, that caused her to awake.
Annie looked at him, then at her clothes, she immediately realized the mistake, she had taken. She tried but wasn’t able to brake away from him.
“You’re not leaving me again,” he cooed into her ears. “Where have you been all these years? Were you trying to scare me to death? Or teach me a cruel and painful lesson? Because it worked Annie Chan, it worked, I’m never letting you out of my sight again, I’ll take care of you, protect you, keep you by my side for the rest of both our lives.”
Annie had tears in her eyes again. She hugged his arms, “Go back to sleep,” she said. “I’ll be here…”
Julian held her tighter, he kissed her hair, “You sleep too,” he said. “Don’t worry, we’re back together, nothing’s going to tare us apart again.”
Annie just nodded.
Julian continued talking to her for at least three hours, about who knows what. He eventually fell into a deep sleep.
”Julian…” Annie called. She took a peak at him, “Jules…” she called once again. She removed his arms from her waist, and quietly but quickly got dressed and left the hotel room.
She took the taxi to the airport, and bought a ticket back to Australia, where her entire life was, she just couldn’t accept Julian still. She felt completely useless, and any thing but independent for sleeping with him. Sleeping with him, contradicted everything she’s become. Plus she promised Julie and Allan that she’d be back in three days, and today was the third. She left a message on her dad’s cell phone telling him to sign the contract for the landownership for her.
When Julian awoke the next afternoon he discovered Annie had disappeared, he was even more heartbroken then before. He didn’t understand, why…why…did she leave. She promised she’d stay. One thing hit his mind, what if she had to leave, what if she was a married woman now? That’d explain her leaving, without notice. She’d never do something like that to him, unless she had no other choice. He’s always thought that Annie always had him in his heart, and that she wouldn’t marry that clown Kevin, but now, he prayed that she’d never date, marry or see Kevin. But a lot happens in seven years. But deep down a part of him still hoped that Annie was not married but had to leave because of another reason.

~Australia~
Annie had arrived home, Kevin and Allan were sent out to pick up some fast food. Annie noticed something silver hanging off Julie’s throat, she recognized it, it was the silver necklace Julian had given her their first Christmas together. “Where did you get that?” Annie asked.
“I found it in your drawer while I was looking for this picture,” she said holding up the picture of Annie and Julian. “It was pretty so I’m wearing it for fun.”
Annie didn’t have the heart to either allow Julie to take the necklace, or part with the thing. She’s had it for so long already.
“PLEASE MOMMY!” Julie begged. “You never wear it. Just let me wear it on special occasions.”
After a lot of begging and pleading Annie finally agreed.
(later)
+Just Annie and Kevin+
“How was your trip?” asked Kevin.
Annie was deep in thought.
“Have you thought about my request yet?” Kevin asked.
“Uh huh…” replied Annie, pretending to listen.
“So yes or no?” asked Kevin.
“Ummm hmmm…,” she said staring around nodding her head, plus he spoke quietly.
Out of no where Kevin hugged and kissed her, and placed a ring on her finger.
Annie just stared at him, “Oh shit!” she thought.
