For the past few weeks Ruby hasn't been able to have time to think to herself. Sometimes Ruby needed time to sort things out in her mind, especially after she gets a flash back of some sort. She uses that time to try and put the pieces of her flashbacks together. But since the last couple of weeks Ruby's life became so hectic. She wants to spend as much time with Vicki as possible, which leaves her no time to think to herself.
Ever since she can remember, she would always suddenly out of nowhere become silent and think about nothing. Whenever she had a headache she would sit still and think of nothing, but since she has no time, her migraines are getting worst.
Now that she finally has time to herself she's going to relax and think of nothing. Out of nowhere she had another flash back.
~Flash Back~
She heard someone yell "HELP!" A girl and she rushed to see who it was. When they arrived at the scene they saw kids that she recognized. One of their best friends, with her sister and step-brother Alec who was shorter than Ruby. Alec had his tongue stuck to the lamp-post.
The girls busted out laughing. "What happened to Alec?" asked the girl who she was always with, trying to control her laughs.
"Well, I told him that if he tried licking the lamp-post during the winter his tongue would get stuck, he didn't believe me so, he's stuck. This proves that girls are smarter than boys." she simply replied.
"So Alwec, (she's been calling him that since she was a toddler) you like going around and licking lamp-posts, I never knew that!" chuckled Ruby.
He gave her an evil glare.
"I needa go pee pee!" announced the little girl.
"Okie, Alec you stay here while we take her to the bathroom," said the girl who she was always with.
"HMHMMHM!" Alec tried to say, but before he knew it they were all gone.
In 5 minutes, which seemed like forever she came out with a cup of warm water. She poured it on the lamp-post and Alec's tongue and before he knew it he wasn't stuck anymore.
He was finally free! He started jumping and shouting, "Whoo-hoo! I'm free! A-CHOO!"
"Come on Alwec, you're going to get sick, come inside," said Ruby as she grabbed his and pulled him in towards the school. She felt a little tingle run through her body when she grabbed the boy's hand. Her heart started beating really fast it felt as if it was trying to jump out. When they entered the school he pulled his hand out of Ruby's grip. She felt hurt. "Hump! Next time I'll leave you out there to freeze!" exclaimed Ruby.
~End of Flash Back~
Ruby just held her head and fell asleep.
When she awoke, she found that her head was on a comfortable pillow and she had a nice warm blanket covering her. She got up and tried to walked toward the kitchen, and found Jimmy stumbling over the stove. She smiled to herself and asked, "What are you doing?"
Jimmy was startled by Ruby's appearance and accidentally dropped the pot lid on his foot. He started jumping around screaming, "OW!"
Ruby rushed to his aid and helped him to a chair. "Are you okay?" she asked.
"I'm fine," he lied.
"What were you doing?" she asked again.
"Well when I came home, you were already sleeping, so I got you a blanket and pillow. I noticed your head was very warm so I was trying to make you Chicken noodle soup, but I'm a little clumsy in the kitchen," he chuckled.
Ruby was touched. "Aww thank you Jimmy, you didn't have too! I feel much better now," she reassured him.
"So I guess you don't need the soup no more," said Jimmy.
"Don't be silly," replied Ruby. She went to the kitchen, and poured all the soup into a big bowl and ate all of it in front of Jimmy. "Yum…see I finished all of it, it's not that bad," said Ruby showing Jimmy her empty bowl. "I'm still hungry let's order pizza now!" she exclaimed.
Jimmy starred at her in awe. "You're still hungry?" he asked.
"Yup, aren't you?" she replied pointing at his rumbling stomach.
"Yeah, I guess I am," replied Jimmy.
Ruby dialed the pizza guy and ordered two party size deluxe pizzas.
"Whoa, why so much?" asked Jimmy.
"One for me and one for you," smiled Ruby.
"WHAT? How can you stay so fit?" he asked.
Ruby giggled. "I burn up all the fat when I chase cute guys," she answered.
Jimmy was a bit confused and asked, "Does that work?"
"Maybe," she answered. "I ordered a lot because a lot of people live here, don't you think they'd be starving after the charity ball? It's all fancy foods there, like escargo," she said making a funny face.
Jimmy laughed at her cuteness.
"What movies did you rent?" she asked.
"I got When Harry Met Sally, and Blast from the Past," he replied.
"What kind of movies are they?" she asked.
"Eh Romance Comedy, they had no more in the horror section," he said.
Ruby was relieved she's terrified of horror movies, especially now since she was home alone with only Jimmy, what if some serial killer comes and kills them. It would put a lot of bad thoughts and ideas in her head. Ruby was a bit paranoid.
"So which one do you want to watch first," he asked.
"I don't know," she replied.
"I haven't watched When Harry Met Sally yet, let's watch it," exclaimed Jimmy. Ruby nodded her head. Jimmy put in the cassette and played the movie.
About 20 minutes into the movie, the door bell rang. Jimmy got up and paid the pizza guy. Jimmy brought the pizzas into the kitchen. He got a slice for him and a slice for Ruby and he grabbed two pops from the fridge. He then grabbed a box just in case they wanted more, so they wouldn't have to get up later.
"Miss Lin, dinner is served," he said handing her food.
"Thanks," she replied.
Jimmy smiled at her.
They were really interested in the movie. Ruby didn't even notice it was raining. The movie finished at about 11:00 pm. Ruby had eaten two slices while Jimmy ate nearly half the box.
Jimmy starred outside. "Wow, it's raining like cats and dogs tonight!" he exclaimed.
"I hope it isn't a thunder storm!" Ruby replied looking outside.
Lightning flash across the sky, her worst nightmare was becoming reality. She was home alone during a thunder storm. The thunder roared.
"Ahhh!" she screamed as she leapt on Jimmy hugging him tightly and not letting go. She buried her face on his chest. to muffle out the sound of the roaring thunder.
Jimmy hugged the shivering Ruby tightly. He stroked her hair telling her, "Everything's alright, it's just thunder, it can't hurt you."
Ruby felt safe in his arms she wanted to stay like that forever. He looked at her lovingly, he loved holding her in his arms. Ruby was beginning to calm down and the sounds of thunder were very faint. She could only hear his heart beating at the moment. She felt like someone was starring at her. She looked up and saw Jimmy's handsome face. Their eyes locked. The faces got closer and closer. They kissed
Ruby was experiencing her first real kiss. She's only gave guys quick pecks on the cheeks she never actually kissed a guy before.
It was a very long and lustful kiss. When they broke apart all Ruby did was look down and blush.
"I'm…umm…sorry," replied Jimmy thinking that she probably regretted the kiss.
"For what?" asked Ruby finally looking at him. Her face was all red, she felt really hot, and nervous.
"I kinda took advantage of you, I'm sorry," he apologized.
"You didn't take advantage of me, I willingly kissed you," replied Ruby shyly.
"Really?" he asked. "Do you regret it?"
Ruby shook her head and looked down. Jimmy was trying to look for her facial expression. Ruby looked up and was inches away from his face. Jimmy slowly kissed Ruby's lips. He pulled back to look at Ruby's beautiful face. Who was starring back at him. He moved closer to kiss her again. She responded to the kiss immediately. Jimmy couldn't control himself, all he cared about was kissing Ruby. Same with Ruby all she could do was respond to his kisses. Their kiss grew deeper and deeper. The didn't notice anything around them.
The door unlocked.
Jimmy and Ruby were too into their kiss to notice.
The entire house was dark, since the electricity was out.
Someone spoke, "Jimmy? Ruby? We're home!" it sounded like Uncle Benny.
Ruby immediately pushed Jimmy away. "Uncle Benny?" she called.
"Ruby, why is so dark in here?" Benny asked.
"The…the lights went out during the storm," explained Ruby.
"You two alright?" he asked looking at the flush expression found on their faces.
"Ya we're fine," answered Ruby. Jimmy just nodded
"Alright then," answered Benny. "I'm going downstairs to check the fuse box." Before he reached the basement stairs the lights came on. "Never mind," smiled Benny.
"Uncle Benny, why are you back so late, it's almost midnight?" asked Ruby.
"Well we wanted to leave at 10:30pm but it was raining too hard! We couldn't walk in the rain now could we?" asked Benny.
"Where are the others?" asked Jimmy.
"They went clubbing," he answered.
"What without me?" Ruby pouted.
"Well you can't you have a twisted ankle," replied Benny.
"It's all Dicky's fault," she pouted. "I'm going to my room!" she shouted as she ran upstairs.
"Jimmy do you mind keeping an eye on her, she's terrified of thunder storms, just make just stay with her till it stops raining!" Benny said. "I have to put the kids to bed now."
"Me?" asked Jimmy.
"Ya, please, do me this little favor," begged Benny.
"Okay Uncle Benny," he agreed.
Jimmy went upstairs and knocked on the door.
"Come in," said Ruby.
Jimmy walked in, "Ruby you want to go watch the other movie now?" asked Jimmy.
"Sure," she agreed.
They went downstairs to watch A Blast from the Past.

~At All Night Club~
Everyone was with someone that night, Vicki was with Nicholas, Annie was with Julian, Teresa was with Tae, and Dicky and Jessica had a blast together.
Only Louis was alone. He envied everyone who had someone. He started thinking, and making up his perfect girlfriend in his mind. She was gorgeous, adorable, beautiful and smart. She had beautiful eyes and a killer smile. She was shy, sweet, gentle but straight forward, in a polite way and stood up for what she believed in. Yup that was his perfect girl.

"You seem different from before," said Julian.
"What do you mean?" asked Annie.
"I don't know," replied Julian. "You seemed so…so,"
"So what?" asked Annie with a smile on her face.
Her smile caused Julian to smile, "You seem so open and free here, you don't seem nervous like you were earlier tonight."
"Really?" she asked. "Is it that good thing or a bad thing?"
"A good thing, I like you how you are right now," he answered.
"So you didn’t like me before?" asked Annie trying to sound mad.
"No, that's not what I meant," said Julian.
"So what did you mean?" she asked curiously.
"Well, I was trying to say that, I thought you were just a cute, sweet and shy girl, now I see this other side of you, which makes me even more attracted to you," said Julian.
Annie blushed, "You're attracted to me?" she asked.
"Yup," he said. "You know, Annie you look so adorable when you blush, it makes me want to…"
"Makes you want to what?" she asked.
He moved closer to her, "Makes me want to do this," he said before he kissed her.
She responded to his kiss.

"Hey Nicholas, she's looking at you!" said Vicki pointing to a pretty girl who's been starring at him all night. "Go talk to her!" she told him.
"Nah, I'd rather stay here with my good old friend Vicki," he replied.
"I'm not that old, you're older than me!" Vicki said.
"Okay, let me rephrase that, I'd rather stay here with my young, gorgeous friend here," he corrected.
"That's better but you forgot smart!" laughed Vicki.

"I bet you I can get more numbers than you!" said Jessica.
"Really?" asked Dicky. "Let's have a little contest now, let's see who can get the most numbers within half an hour!"
Half an hour later.
"Dicky how many numbers did you get?" asked Jessica.
He showed her his hands which were full of phone numbers. "Here, you count!"
Jessica began counting, she declared, "You win, you have 25 phone numbers, you bet me by one!"
"Yeah! I'm the man!" bragged Dicky.
"Ya, ya whatever!" said Jessica.

Teresa was having a great time with Tae. She saw a part of him that she's never seen before. They were dancing and laughing and having the time of their life. All of a sudden someone pulled Teresa a side.
"Hey sweetie, I see we meet again, I'm telling you its fate!" said Gordon.
"Let me go you jerk!" shouted Teresa.
Tae went over to Gordon and punched him. The two began fighting. Gordon over powered Tae, he punched Tae and caused him to fall to the ground. Gordon began kicking him.
"Stop it you jerk, leave him alone!" yelled Teresa.
Gordon walked over to Teresa and pulled her body close to his and said, "Come on baby, let's do some dancing."
Teresa tried to get away from him, but he overpowered her.

Annie and Julian pulled apart. Julian then pulled her toward the dance floor, but Annie saw something through the corner of her eye. She saw Tae laying on the floor while someone was trying to take advantage of Teresa. She dragged Julian toward the scene. The others saw what was happening too, they immediately headed over to Teresa's direction to help her.
"HEY!" screamed Vicki.
"What!" Gordon yelled back.
"Let her go!" demanded Jessica.
"Look a couple more fine girls, are here to entertain me," he laughed.
"Back off!" warned Dicky.
"What are you going to do?" asked Gordon.
"We're all going to kick your ass!" shouted Annie.
"Hey baby, how about a kiss?" teased Gordon.
"You leave her alone!" yelled Julian defending Annie.
"What are you going to do you little rich boy?" he asked.
Julian laughed as if nothing happened. "WHAM!" next thing you know Gordon was on the floor.
"You're going to pay for that!" exclaimed Gordon getting up.
"GORDON!" yelled his cousin. "Come let's go home."
"Do I know you?" he asked.
"Duh? Stupid! It's me Frankie, your cousin. Come let's go!" said Frankie as he dragged his cousin to the car.
A couple minutes later, Frankie reentered the club, to grab his things. He saw the group of people that his cousin insulted. He walked towards them. "Excuse me," he said.
"What do you want?" asked Louis.
"I'd like to apologize for my cousin, he's a really screwed up guy," Frankie explained.
"Damn, you should keep that guy locked up somewhere," suggested Dicky.
"Just keep him away from us!" added Jessica.
"Sorry," he said once again.
"It's okay Frankie, it's not your fault," replied Annie patting his back.
"Annie you know him?" asked Teresa.
"Ya, I met him at the ball earlier tonight," smiled Annie.
"Sorry, Annie, for running out on you like that," he apologized again.
"It's not you're fault you had to look after your cousin," she said.
"I owe you one, see you around," said Frankie as he left.
"Bye," said Annie waving to him.
Julian was giving them the evil eye. Everyone noticed except for Annie.
"Guys, what time is it?" asked Jessica.
"It's…CRAP! Its 2:00am!" exclaimed Dicky.
"Ruby's going to yell at us, for going out without her!" said Vicki in a frightened tone.
"It's okay, we left Ruby and Jimmy together to spend some quality time with each other, she won't be angry," giggled Annie.
"Ya but you know she hates sleeping by herself, she might still be up waiting for us," said Jessica.
"Ya you're right we should get going now," said Teresa.
"We'll walk you!" said Julian and Nicholas.
"It's like 5 blocks away, you sure?" asked Vicki.
"I can give you guys a lift in my limo," suggested Julian.
"OOO! I've never been in a limo before! Let's go!" she exclaimed as she grabbed Julian's hand and ran outside.
They walked in a big group back to the hall. Annie and Julian were walking together.
"So…" said Julian.
"Yeah?" Annie asked.
"You doing anything, tomorrow?" asked Julian.
"I don't know, I have to ask them, to see if they got anything planned," answered Annie.
"Oh," he replied.
"You're welcome to come along if you want," declared Annie.
"Cool, I'd love to go," Julian replied immediately.
"So, I'll call you then," answered Annie.
"Fine with me," he exclaimed.
The reached the limo.
Vicki said goodbye to Nicholas. "See you Nic, feel free to join us sometime!"
"For sure," he replied. "Tell Jim, I said hi."
"I will," agreed Vicki.
The limo then drove them back to the orphanage.
Annie unlocked the door and everyone snuck in. They found Jimmy and Ruby asleep on the couches.
The girls went to their room and the guys went to theirs to sleep. Everyone was soon sound asleep. Except Annie, she kept thinking about Julian. He was so cute and he actually liked her. Annie was in love.
