Ladies First:
1) Ruby Lin (this is gonna take a while, lol):
Alec Su: Her crush, she use to like him a lot before she ran away. He haunted her dreams, telling her to return to him. They have a very special bond, more than just friends.
Jimmy Lin: Her first love, first taste of true love. Her first kiss, her first time. They were first introduced to each other through Vicki, who is Jimmy's adopted sister. The first time they talked to each other they started flirting. When they actually met, they were very attracted to the other's appearance. They just clicked. Love at first sight, or was it lust? After Grace's appearance, and after Ruby fainted the first time she had forgotten all about what she had shared with Jimmy. Her feelings for him were still strong, but she was still confused. She did not persue a relationship with him. They met in Paris, and shared four or five romantic days and nights together. She is still attracted to him, still has feelings for him, which are uncertain. But rejects him.
Wonbin: Her first boyfriend. They have a close relationship. They are more then friends, more on the lines of brother and sister. They started dating when they were in elementary school. Their relationship lasted three months, before they broke up.
Wang Leehom: A close friend, of Ruby's. They met when Ruby ran away to London. He's had a crush on her for over 6 years. At first Ruby had feelings for him, but they were only friendly emotions, nothing more.
Edison Chen: Possibly the love of her life. She loves him dearly. They first ran into each other at the airport, where Ruby didn't even notice him, but he noticed her, and fell for her appearance. They met again on a boat cruise party, where Ruby accidentally fell on top of him and kissed him. He was later introduced as Wonbin's cousin. They had a four month relationship, before Ruby ran away. When Ruby returned she kept rejecting his love, afraid of hurting both Jimmy and Alec. When Edison finally decided to give up, since he thought she didn't love him anymore, Ruby realized that he was the only one in her heart, her true love.
In her heart Ruby truly loves Edison the most, Jimmy is a close second, but he is still second. No one can ever compare to Edison, or replace his place in her heart. Ruby was confused with her feelings for Alec, Jimmy and Edison. Her infactuation, of what could have been and what she felt for Jimmy, caused her to leave. Her thoughts of how sweet Alec was to wait for her for all those years, made her want to love him back to repay his kindness. These two factors caused her to leave.
2) Kristy:
Nicky Wu: Her first real boyfriend, and commited relationship. They started off as friends, but as time went on, their feelings change and were attracted to each other. Nicky was her first kiss. After a few months as a couple, they started drifting apart. They were more friends then a couple. Kristy didn't realize this until she met him!
Louis Koo: She was attracted to him when she first saw him, through pictures that Vicki had taken. When she went to Hong Kong for Christmas and got to know Louis more, she fell completely in love with him. She feared that she may hurt Nicky, so tried to ignore her desire of being with Louis. Nicky broke up with her because they weren't they same anymore, the feelings between them had changed, he knew that Kristy didn't love him. He told her to persue a relationship with Louis. Louis and Kristy became closer and closer. Something was starting to bloom. Until, Ruby was revealed as her sister. Ruby's disappearance, had blocked their possible relationship. Since Kristy was too worried at the time to concentrate on her and Louis. Now that they meet again, Kristy realized that she still had a huge crush on him, and is waitng impatiently for him to tell her how he feels. They have a date scheduled for the Friday. What will happen to them?
3) Jessica Hsuan:
Louis Koo: When they were younger, Louis had told her that he loved her. Jessica rejected him, afraid of change. Afraid of a nasty break up which might result in them never speaking again, and causing her to lose a great friend. She developed feelings for him, after she rejected him, but always kept it to herself. After the Charity Ball, she moved on, since she started to like another person. Louis is like an older brother to her. Her best friend, her family.
Dicky Cheung: She started having feelings for him after the charity ball. Their relationship got closer after that night, she discovered that she and Dicky were never really that close before, so decided to get to know him better. The more time she spent with him the more she understood him, the more she was attracted to him. But it was a one sided love, since at the time Dicky was in love with Athena. Jessica wanted him to be happy, as long as she was near him, as long as they still shared that close bond, she was satisfied. Lately, Dicky developed feelings for Jessica, and they had started a secret realtionship. They were happy for the first month or so, but after the arrival of Gigi, and when she discovered about her brain tumor, Jessica started pushing Dicky away, and towards other women. She was certain that he only used her as a replacement for Athena, and that he was really attracted to Gigi. She knew that iF Dicky knew about her illness, then he wouldn't leave her side. Why make the both of them suffer when the love involved in their relationship, weren't mutual.
4) Annie Chan (Man):
Julian Cheung: Definitely love at first sight. The tomboy Annie Chan, the daughter of Benny Chan the manager of The Chan's Orphanage in Hong Kong, was compeletly blown away when she accidentally bumped into Julian Cheung the man of her dreams, her prince charming at the Charity Ball. They danced together all night. She acted the exact opposite of her character when she was with him, she was sweet, and gentle. But when they went to a club she became the real Annie Chan, which attracted Julian to her even more. They weren't offical until almost two months after they met. Their relationship was very slow paced. They've been together for more than six years (actually if u work it out than it's 7.5 to 8 yrs). Now Annie realizes that Julian is afraid of commitment, he's never thought about marriage, and they aren't going anywhere in their relationship. Even though they love each other but, she feels neglected now, Julian works too hard. (You can't really see this happenin yet, i'll probably write more in upcoming chapters).
5) Teresa Mak:
Tae: Everytime Teresa runs into Gordon Lam, a jerk who harassed her countless times, Tae was always there to protect her. That was when she started to develop feelings for the quiet and shy Tae. She kept sending him signals but he never understood her. With a little help from Ruby, Tae and Teresa got together. Teresa may get annoyed with Tae at times, but loves him dearly. She can't lose him, he's her support in life. He never pressured her in anything. They have a very close relationship.
6) Vicki Zhao:
Vic Zhou: Vicki's had a crush on him since her first day at school. Due to her friendly, flirty, and straight forwardness, Vic never realized that she liked him, or treated him special. He thought she was like that to everyone. Vicki didn't know why she liked him, he is completely her opposite. But opposites attract. One time she got fed up with his mixed messages and shyness and confronted him. And they got together.
7) Gigi Lai:
Dicky Cheung: She believes that Dicky was her knight in shinning armor. She's liked him since they first met. She loves his humor, his personallity. Everything about him attracts her to him. He was her first kiss, even if it was accidental. She thought her crush on him had passed but after meeting again, she begins to fall in love with him.
8) Grace Tse (Yip)
Jimmy Lin: Her ex-boyfriend. Even though she's been in numerous relationships, she feels that what she shared with Jimmy was the closest to love she's ever experience. Because of that thought, she was determined to get back together with him, accidentally causing the misunderstanding between Ruby and them, and ruining Jimmy's chance of being with her. After being back with Jimmy she discovers that she didn't love him, and he didn't love her either. She blames herself for Jimmy and Ruby never being together. She sees Jimmy as a very close friend, and still cares for him a lot. But in a romantic or friendly way, is still undetermined.
*Was attracted to Wonbin, but decided to butt out when she learnt that he and Amanda had something special. She didn't want history to repeat itself, like what happened between Ruby and Jimmy.
Who will Grace end up with?
9) Cecilia Cheung:
Stephen Fung: Her first boyfriend, her first kiss. They were together for a year. She was in love with him, even though he was a player, she thought she could change him. But after catching him in bed with another girl she broke their relationship. She still thinks about him constantly, and she still loves him in some way but hates him more for breaking her heart and betraying her trust. Stephen reappeared in her life, and brought back old emotions. She still loved him.
Nicholas Tse: She had a crush on him when they first met. The crush lasted a year or two. But after awhile, she saw a change in him, he began toying with girls' hearts and she despised him for that, she stopped liking him after that. She accepted the fact that he was a player and remainded good friends with him. Recently she and Nicholas kept accidentally ending up in awakward situations. He'd make a comment about her being hot, and stuff. One day they kept on kissing each other accidentally. He gave her this weird tingaly feeling. She did not want to fall in love with him, she didn't want to be hurt again. He convinced her to give it a try. The relationship was anything but exclusive, they just hung out together and kiss now and then. Will it always be like that?
10) Charmaine Sheh
Sunny Chan: Her crush before she moved to Taiwan. She can't forget him. Every guy she meets, she would compare him to Sunny. She's just met him again after 6-8yrs of not seeing each other. They are starting over again. Their love is beginning to bloom.
11) Athena Chu
Dicky Cheung: Her first love. She loved him dearly. They were together for four years, until she dumped him, for her own reasons. She felt that they weren't the same anymore. She thought she had lost all feelings for him. She had also done something rotten to him behind his back, so ended the relationship, so she wouldn't hurt him anymore. After a a year, she regretted what she's done, she missed him terribly, and realized he was her one and only, but did not return to his side, because she thinks nothing can be the same again, she was no longer up to his standards. Now that Dicky has saved her from commiting suicide, she ponders if there was still a chance they could be together.
Roger Kwok: She fell for him because he was different and seemed new and exciting compared to her boyfriend Dicky. He lured her into his trap and caused her to betray her cousin and break up with Dicky. He uses her to pay off his debts. She's his toy. He never really cared for her. After he finished with her, he bet her nearly to death.
12) Amanda Strang:
Daniel Chan: Her ex-boyfriend. Her first love. (not gonna ruin the up coming chapters for you guys, but it involves him)
Wonbin: On account of her careless driving skills, she accidectally ran him over with her car. She took him to the hospital and cared for him until he awoke. She was attracted to his manly features. He was so handsome, so hot. She couldn't stop thinking about him. When she thought there was something between him and Ruby she felt her heart break. She was even more attracted to him, when she got to know him. He was so sweet. She made the first move and kissed him after their first date. They then got together. He calls her pumpkin.
13) Kenix Kwok:
Roger Kwok: They were together for three years until he dumped her for her cousin, Athena. She was devastated, not because he dumped her but he had taken away her bestfriend, her cousin. She hates his guts.
14) Michelle Yip
Never been in love. But is arranged to marry someone. (not sayin anything else)
15) Bondy Chen (Chiu)
Has a crush on Alec.
16) Ada Choi
Steven Ma: Her loving boyfriend/fiancee who had unfortunatly died in a plane crash.
Nicky Wu: Was attracted to him when they first met on the ski hill. But rejected him because she loves her boyfriend.
Louis Koo: Helped her through her depressing time in life, when she lost Steven. She has some sort of feeling for him.
Guys:
1) Edison Chen:
Ruby Lin: Loves Ruby unconditonally, after the first time he ran into her. She's his entire life. She's the reason he gets up in the morning. He can't lose her. She completes him. Their relationship was short, it was only four months, before she ran away, but at that point he already loved her more than anything in the world. She told him to move on, but he didn't. He waited for her. He seemed a little demanding when Ruby returned, but it was only because, after over six years of being apart from her, all he wanted to do was to hold and kiss her, he didn't want her to leave again. But Ruby acted coldly, and pushed him away, rejecting his love, when they both knew she still loved him. So he wanted to force Ruby to admit that she loved him. But when he thought she loved Jimmy and Alec, more he decided to leave her and not bother, because he loved her enough for her to be happy with someone else. Even though it tore his heart to know that she didn't love him. He'd do anything for her.
*Hint: We know he only loves Ruby, but was there ever anyone else before her? Someone he knew before he moved to Hong Kong? (still undetermined, if i'm gonna add a part like that)
2) Jimmy Lin:
Grace Tse (Yip): He's ex-girlfriend. He loved her a lot, until she betrayed him and kissed another guy. She was the one that made Ruby think they were still a couple, and made her give up on him. She was the road block between his and Ruby's relationship. Even if he never says it but, he secretly hates her for that.
Ruby Lin: Loves her a ton. Wants her to be his girlfriend. He believes that they were meant for each other, but because of Grace's interferance they couldn't be together. He hated seeing Ruby in other guys' embrace, especailly if the guy was Edison. He doesn't think Edison deserves to be with her. In Paris, he met Ruby again, and shared 4 days of romantic lust with her. He wants her to be happy, so didn't interfer in her relationship with Edison anymore. He instead drowns his sorrows, in alchol. He's becoming a player.
*Who is Jimmy gonna end up with. Should I add a new character?
3) Alec Su
Ruby Lin: He's loved her since forever. She's his best friend. They use to do everything together. They have a special bond. She use to take care of him, and bring him soup when he was sick. She always brightend up his day. She was the first girl to ever hold his hand, to hug him, and to walk down the aisle with him. She's the most important person in his life. He had waited for her since she ran away, since he was twelve, he found her when he was seventeen, and now, he's twenty-four. What he has between Ruby is infactuation. They never really had a relationship, no romance whatsoever.
4) Louis Koo
Jessica Hsuan: He's first love, first taste of true love. He fell in love with her after helping her trick a boy who liked her, by pretending to be her boyfriend. That was when he discovered his feelings for her. When he told her, she rejected him. It broke his heart. Things became different, awkward between them. To fix things he had told her that it was all a lie, he wasn't thinking clearly, he only thought he liked her. He began treating her like his little sister, and eventually he believed it was true. But out of the five girls, Jessica, Ruby, Teresa, Annie and Vicki, Louis cares for Jessica the most.
Ada Choi: Shared almost two months of lusty romance. When he was with her he was free from worry, he didn't think of Kristy as much when she was around. What they had was not love but to him was lust, or two comrades who needed each other's comfort.
Kristy Yang: His perfect girlfriend from within his dreams. After she left back to Taiwan, he could never stop thinking about her. He kept the watch she gave him for Christmas, to remember her. He treasured it. It was more important than his life. After meeting her again, he was determined to tell her his feelings, until the appearance of Ada, which post-pond it for a few days. It took him a lot of courage to ask her out on a date. He truly loves her.
5) Dicky Cheung
Athena Chu: He met her when he was desperate for a companion. He believed that she was his soulmate. He was truly in love with her. When she left him he was devasted. He was hurt. He felt so abandoned. He missed her so much. But with the help and advice of someone special he learned to move on, but a a realli slow pace. He always wondered why, why did she leave him? Wasn't he good to her? that's what kept her in his heart and mind. What should he do now, she's back.
Gigi Lai: He sees her as a close friend. Someone he can talk to, someone he can relate to. Someone who understands him. Someone he's attracted to, but is only his friend. For some reason, he is concerned for her well being. But they're just friends.
Jessica Hsuan: She's always been there for him. To support him through thick and thin. She's always cared for him, treated him differently from the others. She's his soulmate now. He loved her unconditionally, but didn't know how to tell her. She keeps avoiding him now, she won't listen to him. She doesn't believe him. He tries but things keep getting in his way. She's his one and only.
6) Tae
Teresa: He loves Teresa, ever since she first arrived at the orphanage. After the first encounter with Gordon, Tae felt that it was his duty to protect Teresa. He couldn't let anything happen to her. She meant a lot to him. He loves her a ton and would do about anything for her.
7) Julian Cheung
Annie Chan (Man): He was first attracted to her angelic, sweet and gentle appearance. She seemed speical. At first that was how she acted, gentle, and sweet, but after when they were at the club, she acted more open and wild, he found her being unique. After being together for so long, he begins to take her for advantage. He didn't treat her as like before, he spent less and less time with her, he told her he loved her less. He wanted things to stay the same. He acts very slow, he doesn't notice when she's unhappy, anymore. But she's his entire world, he's willing to give up everything for her.
8) Wonbin
Ruby Lin: Had a short three month relationship with Ruby when they were younger, but resulted in them breaking up, but he still cares for her, but only as a brother to his lil sister.
9)Nicholas Tse
Vicki Zhao: Has loved her for a while, actually ever since he first laid eyes on her. He knows he has to protect her. But she was with Vic, he couldn't tare them apart, Vicki never loved him, but he's always loved her. To surpress his love for her, he becomes a player, to hide the pain in his heart.
Cecilia Cheung: She was different from other girls. For one she wasn't attracted to him like most girls, she'd usually argue or scold him for being a player. He considered her a close friend, but one that he didn't really understand or got the chance to know. After accidentally kissing her a few times, he couldn't stop thinking about her. He realized how hot she was. He couldn't get enough of her, so suggested starting a relationship, which wasn't a real relationship, since it wasn't really exclusive. She's special.
10) Nicky Wu
Kristy Yang: Had a relationship with her, but it ended, since they were drifting apart, and because he knew she loved Louis, and not him. He still cares for her. Kristy's a great girl, he regrets losing her. A part of him wants to win her back.
Ada Choi: He was really attracted to her when they first met on the ski hill, but was heart broken when she rejected him. He became even more heart broken when he realizxed he had lost Kristy as a grilfriend. He had neither one of them. He'd lost Kristy to Louis. When he met Ada again, he hoped that they had a chance, but got this feeling that she was too attracted to Louis. Nicky is quite jealous of ouis, what does he got that he doesn't?
11) Vic Zhou
Vicki Zhao: Loved her for the longest time. He only tells her things that he truly means. She turned him from a quiet and shy guy into a more open and fun, loving guy. He jokes around with her more, because he knows, Vicki gets bored easily, he wants to make her smile, and happy. He swears that he will never hurt her in any way, he loves her too much to do that.
12) Wang Leehom
Ruby Lin: Has been in love with her since they first met. He'd do anything to see her happy. He truly thought that he had a chance, until he saw how Ruby acted, spoke and looked at Edison. He loved her enough to let her go. She never loved him anyways. When will he meet his true love?
13) Raymond Lam:
He's been in love before, but the girl was only with him, for his money. He doesn't trust any girl. Only his friends. For some reason he hates Michelle.
14) Frankie Lam:
Annie Chan (Man): Always remembers her, for some reason, she left an impression on him. He was determined to woo her.
