"Hmm…who can it be? I don't know anyone in Hong Kong," thought Vicki. Vicki picked up the phone and set it on speaker, she heard giggling in the back, "Hello?" she asked.
"Hello, is Miss Vicki Zhao there?" asked a girl's voice.
"Yes this is she," replied Vicki.
"Miss Vicki, we would like to inform you that…" there was a pause.
"Uh yes?" Vicki asked again.
"THAT YOU FORGOT TO CALL US!!!" screamed a whole bunch of voices.
Vicki knew who they were, and answered, "And we might us be?"
"We haven't seen each other for not even a day, and you already forgot about us?" asked another familiar voice.
"Some sister you turned out to be! Let's hang up!" said a mishchievous masculine voice.
"NO! Louis wait don't hang up! I was just playing around with you guys that's all!" exclaimed Vicki.
* Note both phones are on speaker.
"That's not very nice V, first you forget to call us and then you pretend that you don't even know us!" cried Jessica.
"Come on Jesse quit fooling around, you know I'd never forget you guys," said Vicki.
"Oh Vicki, I know you've always loved me, it's just that you were always to embrassed to say so," replied Dicky.
"Shut up Dicky nobody loves you!" yelled Annie.
"You're just jealous, Annie, that nobody loves you," replied Dicky.
"So Vicki, how's Taiwan?" Tae cut in, but Annie and Dicky's argument can still be heard in the background.
Vicki had a lot to tell her friends, she got really excited and asked, "Guess what?"
"Umm, I see London I see France, I see that, you live in a humoungst house, with a room bigger than ours. Your family is now throwing you a welcoming party, and right now in your room you have made some new friends," predicted Ruby.
Everyone in Vicki's room has been really quiet how did this girl know so much?
"Ruby is that you?" asked Vicki.
"Yup the one and only, ME! Ruby Lin! You remember me right? One of your best friends?" exclaimed Ruby.
"Ya, think I remember you. So how do you know so much?" asked Vicki.
"Like I said before, I'm a pyscho," laughed Ruby. Everyone laughed with her.
"Umm excuse me girl, don't you mean psychic?" asked Jimmy.
"Ya but pyscho, sounds funnier," answered Ruby giggling. "Who might you be?" asked Ruby, "You sound cute!"
"Jimmy Lin, Vicki's brother," Jimmy introduced. "You don't sound too bad yourself," flirted Jimmy.
"Thank you!" said Ruby blushing a bit.
"Awww Ruby's blushing!" shouted Teresa.
"So is Jimmy," shouted Kristy joining in with the party.
Everyone bursted out laughing on both ends.
"Ruby I always thought that you loved me??" cried Dicky sounding hurt.
"Dicky didn't you just say that Vicki loved you?" asked Tae.
"Yup they both love me, but Ruby loves me more, don't you honey?" said Dicky putting his arm around Ruby.
"Ewww! Don't touch me Dicky!" screamed Ruby. "Help me! Dicky's putting his arm around me!" she shrieked again.
They all broke out into laughters again.
"Ruby, didn't you say you liked Wonbin, the other day?" asked Annie.
"Noooooooo," lied Ruby. "Well maybe."
"OOOO, Ruby's a playette!" said Vicki.
"Shut up! What's wrong with you guys, I said Jimmy sounded cute, that doesn't necessarily mean that he is?" exclaimed Ruby.
"Thanks," said Jimmy sarcasticly.
"No problem!" said Ruby happily.
"Alright Miss Lin since you say you're a psychic or psycho, tell me how many people are in here, in this room?" Alec finally spoke.
"OOOO, sounds like another cutie!" giggled Ruby. "To tell the truth, I'm not a psychic, Aunt Jenny told me all that a couple of minutes ago!"
"Ya but you, little girl, are a psycho indeed," Joyce finally spoke up.
The other end went silent. "Hey that person sounds familiar," whisphered Jessica.
"She sounds familiar to you too?" asked Annie.
"Girls, I can't believe I only left for two years and you girls don't even recognize my voice!" announced Joyce sounding hurt.
"JOYCE?" asked Teresa.
"Aww Teresa, at least you remember me." she answered.
"Oh hey Joyce," answered everyone.
"Yup it's Joyce, she knows my parents so she's here at my house," said Vicki.
"Joyce when are you coming back to visit?" asked Annie.
"When I have time!" replied Joyce.
"Bring presents!" exclaimed Louis.
"Yes, Louis how can I forget presents!" she laughed. Joyce then left to go home to get ready for her night time job.
"Okay let me introduce both sides to each other, okay you guys start then us then you!" shouted Vicki.
"Okie let me start!" exclaimed Ruby excitedly. Ruby cleared her throat and said, "I'm Ruby Lin, I'm 13 years old, I'm pretty and cute. I may look innocent but don't mess with me. hehehe. Umm…My hobbies are sleeping, talking, and talking, I just aboslutely love talking. I like making people smiling and I bet I can make anyone smile. I'm the so called wild one!"
"Cause you are!" laughed Vicki. "Alright umm someone from this side now! Kristy go!" ordered Vicki.
"Me? Umm, okay. I'm Kristy Yang, I'm 13 and I like talking and hanging out with my friends. I want to try new and different things but I'm to scared to. I wish I can just open up to everyone and be myself." replied Kristy.
"YAY! That' was great Kristy! I'm behind you 100%!" exclaimed Ruby.
"Okay me next!" shouted Jessica. "Good evening people I'm Jessica Hsuan, I'm 13 and I love my grandma a lot! Umm…I love doing unexpected things and I love being unpredictable!" said Jessica.
"Gigi! You're next!" shouted Vicki and Kristy.
"I…ahh…my name is Gigi Lai, I…I'm 13, and I'm really nervous infront of strangers and and I embrass easy. hehehe… Kristy's one of my best friends. We grew up together. I have a problem with opening up too…"
"Don't be nervous Gigi, don't care what others think, it's much easier being open then keeping everything to yourself," encouraged Jessica.
"Thanks, umm Jessica I'll try to open up more," thanked Gigi.
"My turn!" screamed Annie. "I'm Annie Man, I'm also 13 and is known as the hyper active one!" laughed Annie.
"Ummm…Go Amy!" shouted Vicki.
"I don't know what to say! Umm, I'm Amy Su, I'm Gigi and Alec's little sister. I'm 11 years old and I'm hungry!" replied Amy.
"Alec she sound just like you!" shouted Gigi.
"Rather me than you!" Alec shot back.
"Boy you can really tell that they're related," said Vicki.
"Okay it's my turn!!!" shouted Teresa. "I'm Teresa Mak, 13 years old and the one with the attittude problem. Stay on my good side and you'll be safe!" Teresa said. "One more thing, whoever picks on Vicki, I will personally go to Taiwan and kick his/her butt!"
"Ya us too!" replied the other girls.
"Aww, you guys are so sweet!" said Vicki. "Alec, it's your turn."
"I'm 15, my name is Alec Su, my best friend is Jimmy, and I have two younger sisters, Gigi and Amy," replied Alec.
"Tae it's your turn!" said Ruby.
"Hi, I'm Tae, I'm 15 and I don't talk much, because I have nothing to say!" finished Tae.
"Jimmy it's your turn!" said Ruby happily.
"Aww Jimmy your girlfriend wants to learn more about you, how sweet!" retorted Alec.
"SHUT UP!" Ruby and Jimmy both yelled at the same time.
"Wow they said the exact same thing at the exact same time!" said Vicki.
"It's fate!" teased Kristy.
"Okay shut up will ya? It's my turn," said Jimmy as he changed the subject. "Okay, I'm Jimmy Lin, I'll be 15 in May. I enjoy lazing around and doing nothing most of the time. I love watching sports and cartoons and that's it!" finished Jimmy.
"Okay let me introduce Louis to you guys," said Vicki. "Okay Louis Koo, is 15 and extremly stubborn, he is self centered and only thinks about cute girls. He likes to make fun of people, but is a good guy!"
"Hey!" shouted Louis.
"Okay since you got to do Louis I get to answer for Dicky!" shouted Ruby. "Dicky Cheung, age, 15, he is cute and adorable, but is very annoying and irrating. He can be serious, but is usually a fun loving kind a guy," continued Ruby.
"That's so sweet Ruby, you think I'm cute and adorable," said Dicky.
"Shut up or you won't be cute and adorable anymore," declared Ruby.
Benny enters. "Little misss Lin, there's someone at the door for you?" he announced.
"A boy!" Benny answered.
"WHO?" Ruby asks.
"Someone named Wonbin," Benny said.
"WHAT?!!" Ruby shouted. She nearly fainted. The popular, cute, gorgeuse Wonbin is on her front porch and asking for her. "This must be a dream!" she exclaimed. She felt five people pinch her. "Ouch!"
"It's not a dream Ruby, Wonbin is here to see you!" exclaimed Jessica.
"Oh my god! What am I going to do?" Ruby started mumbling on about what she should do like change or maybe shower, and so on.
"Breath Ruby, breath!" exclaimed Vicki still on the phone listening to everything that was happening.
Ruby began breathing in and out.
"She sounds like a pragnant lady, in one on those laboring classes," laughed Louis.
Teresa slapped the back of his head to shut him up.
"Ruby now, go see what he wants!" instructed Annie.
Ruby walked out onto the front porch to greet Wonbin.

~Back to the Phone Conversation~
"I wonder what's taking her so long?" asked Jimmy.
"Jimmy she's been gone for less 5 minutes!" said Vicki.
"Looks like somebody fell inlove with Ruby," announced Alec.
"No I'm not, it just seems a little boring without her making us laugh!" replied Jimmy.
"Ya it does," said Annie.
"Hey, Jesse where's Louis and Dicky?" asked Vicki.
"I don't know!" replied Jessica looking around the room for them.
"They went outside to spy on Ruby and Wonbin," announced Tae.
"That's rude!" Gigi pointed out.
"Oh well, but at least we're going to find out the juicy details, that Ruby hides later," Teresa pointed out.
"True!" exclaimed Annie.
The phone converstaion went on and on about who knows what. Jimmy and Alec got bored so brought Jimmy's game system into Vicki's room and hooked it up and started playing Smash Bros. 2 for N64.

~Outside on the Porch~
Ruby stepped outside and said, "Hi Wonbin." She starred at his handsome features.
"Hi!" he said in his sweet voice. "You look great!" he said.
"Thanks," Ruby smiled. "Sooooo," Ruby began.
"Do you want go on a walk with me?" asked Wonbin.
"Alright, just let me go inside to get my jacket," Ruby said.
"Okay I'll wait here!" said Wonbin.

~Converstation~
"Ya I know!" said Jessica.
The girls heard Ruby scream, "I'm going on a walk! I'll be back in 20 minutes!"
"OOOO, Ruby's going on a walk with Wonbin. Love is in the air!" giggled Annie.
"L'amour!" said Vicki chuckled Vicki.
Ruby quickly ran out to Wonbin, but saw something hiding behind the bushes. She approached Louis and Dicky. "Go inside!" she ordered giving them a deadly glare. The two then went on the walk.
Louis and Dicky went inside.
"What happened?" asked Teresa.
"She found us!" sighed Dicky.
"Ya but we recorded their conversation!" said Louis happily.
"What??" They all asked.
"Play it!" they heard Jimmy and Alec screaming.
+Tape playing+
~Outside on the Porch~
Ruby stepped outside and said, "Hi Wonbin." She starred at his handsome features.
"Hi!" he said in his sweet voice. "You look great!" he said.
"Thanks," Ruby smiled. "Sooooo," Ruby began.
"Do you want go on a walk with me?" asked Wonbin.
"Alright, just let me go inside to get my jacket," Ruby said.
"Okay I'll wait here!" said Wonbin.

"Is that all?" asked Tae.
"Shhh! Listen!" said Louis.

Ruby ran inside the house.
Wonbin began talking to himself. "Okay, relax! Okay! Ruby you're a very nice girl will go out with me?" he paused. "No, that's to plain! Hmmm, Ruby you're really pretty, smart and basically a great person will you be my girlfriend?" Wonbin kept practicing how hhe should ask Ruby out.
"What are you two doing here?? GO INSIDE!" shouted Ruby.
~End Recording~
"Awww, our little Ruby has her first boyfriend!" said Jessica.
"She didn't accept yet!" said Alec.
"She's going to accept him," argued Annie.
"How would you know? She might reject him!" said Jimmy.
"Whatever let's wait and see," replied Teresa.
They continued their conversation, while Jimmy played his game. He seemed a bit upset, but no one really noticed. He's only known Ruby for a day, he can't possibly like her right? He doesn't even know what she looks like. How can he have feelings for someone like that? Anyways he's only 15, well almost.

~With Ruby~
The two walked to the park, laughing and chatting about anything and everything.
"Ha! That is so true!" laughed Ruby as she sat down on a swing and began swinging.
"Ruby, you know, you have a beautiful smile, when I see you smile I just feel like smiling too!" said Wonbin. " I really like you Ruby, will you be my girlfriend?" he asked.
Ruby smiled and nodded.
"YES! SHE SAID YES! THANK YOU GOD!" shouted Wonbin jumping up and down.
Ruby just sat on the swings and laughed.
"Wait here!" Wonbin instructed, he then ran off. Ruby sat on the swings alone. If a few minutes he came back with a beautiful white lily and gave it to her. "Here, pretty flowers for a pretty girl!"
"Thanks!" exclaimed Ruby excitedly.
"Ruby close your eyes," Wonbin said.
Ruby listened, he began pushing her on the swings. It felt like flying, it was the most wonderful feeling ever. Ruby then had a flashback of when she was younger.
~Flash Back~
"Alwec, can you push me on the swings?" Ruby asked.
A short little boy nodded, and smiled. He began pushing her on the swings.
"Come on Alwec put some more strength into it! Higher!" demanded Ruby.
"I'm too tired now, you push me!" exclaimed Alec.
"Fine!" Ruby said as she jumped off the swing. Ruby fell and scrappped her leg. Alec immepiately ran to her aid and pulled a band-aid out of his pocket for her.
~End of Flash Back~
Ruby smiled at the cute memory. She never recalled that ever happening, it probably occurred before her accident.
Wonbin then walked Ruby home. Whike walking Ruby noticed that Wonbin had, attempted many times to hold her hand, but always failed. So she sercretly let him hold her hand.
The walk home was silent. When they arrived at the orphanage, Ruby hugged Wonbin goodbye. "Bye, see you on Monday at school!" said Ruby.
"Bye, Ruby…" replied Wonbin. Ruby was about to enter the house when Wonbin called, "Ruby wait!"
Ruby stopped. He told her to close her eyes again. Ruby warned him, "Don't pick any of Uncle Benny's flowers or he'll kill you!" She closed her eyes.
The next thing she knew, Wonbin kissed her on her cheek and ran off saying, "Bye Ruby! See you on Monday!"
Ruby froze on the spot and stood there for a few minutes.
Annie who witnessed the entire thing, ran into the room and yelled, "Wonbin kissed Ruby!"
Everyone including everyone on the other line exclaimed, "WHAT?!"
"I saw the entire thing, they were holding hands while he walked her to the door. Next thing you know he kissed her on the cheek!" replied Annie.
"Where's Ruby?" asked Jimmy.
"She's still standing on the front porch, when I ran in here," explained Annie.
"Wait I think she's coming, pretend you know nothing!" commanded Jessica.
Ruby entered the room smiling non-stop, and starring at the lily Wonbin gave her. "Hi everyone!" she greeted. "Are you still talking to Vicki?" she asked.
"Yup they are! I'm not hanging up till you tell me every single detail!" explained Vicki.
"What details?" asked Ruby innocently.
"Where did you go with Wonbin?" asked Teresa.
"To the park," she simply answered.
"What did you do there?" asked Annie.
"Sit on the swings and talk," replied Ruby.
"About?" asked Tae.
"Stuff," was her reply.
"Come on Ruby, can you please tell us a little more detail?" begged Vicki.
"Okay, we went to the park, we talked and laughed at anything and everything. He asked me a question, and gave me a flower and he pushed me on the swings and we went home," replied Ruby still amiling and starring at the flower.
"What did he ask you?" asked Kristy.
Jimmy wanted to ask Ruby that question, but Kristy had bet her to it.
"He," Ruby paused, "asked me," she paused, "to be," she paused again, "his girlfriend!" exclaimed Ruby.
"And what did you say!" asked Jimmy anxiously.
"Well by her expression and actions she I can be positive that she said yes," replied Jessica trying to sound scentific.
"What do you mean?" asked Ruby.
"Well ever since you came back you keep on starring at that Lily and smiling," answered Jessica.
"Ruby's on cloud 9 right now!" laughed Annie.
Ruby blushed and nodded.
"She nodded, then it's a yes! Ruby's got a boyfriend! Ruby's got a boyfriend!" teased Dicky.
"And you don't have anyone!" Ruby shot back.
Dicky pouted.
"Don't you dare pout at me Dicky Cheung, who told you and Louis to easedrop on me?" asked Ruby glaring at the two.
"Oh no, Dicky when I say go, RUN!" warned Louis.
"But lucky for you two I'm in a good mood! So you're off the hook, for now!" answered Ruby.
"Louis remind me to get Wonbin a gift basket, for making Ruby change her mind about murdering us!" laughed Dicky.
Ruby just stuck her tounge at them.
"Did anything else happen?" asked Jimmy, trying to feel happy for her.
"Nooooo," she lied.
"Really?" asked Annie.
"Why do you ask?" Ruby asked her friend.
"Well I saw you and Wonbin outside just now and he…" Annie answered, but was cut off by Ruby's hand which covered her mouth so she couldn't say anything else.
"She already told us!" laughed Louis.
Ruby turned deep red, and ran upstairs.
"LOUIS!" everyone yelled.
"What??" he asked.
"Okay, V we have to go check on Ruby, or…you know what she does when she gets upset," said Jessica.
"Alright bye guys, I'll call when I have time. Remember to tell me more details!" declared Vicki.
"Nice talking to you guys, bye, Kristy, Gigi, Amy, and guys! Bye Vic!" said Annie.
"Love ya lots Vic, take care, remember you'll always be part of our family!" said Teresa.
Everyone said their good byes. Both sides hung up.
~Hong Kong~
The girls scolded Louis, for saying the wrong things at thw worst possible moment. The went upstairs to check on Ruby.
Ruby was just sitting on her bed observing her flower.
"So Miss Lin, wasn't upset or angry just embrassed," said Jessica.
"Ya, there's nothing to be upset about, it's the truth. I was just embrassed," replied Ruby.
Ruby then told her friends every single detail about her walk with Wonbin, excluding her flash back.
~Taiwan~
"You think Ruby's okay?" asked Kristy.
"Ya she'll be fine, she's just embrassed. Louis is going to get it in the morning!" laughed Vicki.
"Vicki, can you describe what they all look like?" asked Gigi.
"I've got a better idea, I have last year's year book, I'll show you their pictures," said Vicki. "but I think there isn't a picture of Ruby."
"Why?" asked Jimmy.
"Because she was sick during picture day and picture re-take day, so she wasn't in the year book last year," she explained.
"Oh, alright," said Jimmy.
Vicki showed them a picture, of everyone one by one.
"Hehehe, Dicky is cute," said Gigi.
"Oh you guys want to see a picture of Wonbin?" asked Vicki.
"YEAH!" exclaimed the girls.
Vicki, showed them Wonbin.
"Oh my gosh he is so handsome, and so cute at the same time! Ruby's got great tastes in guys!" Kristy declared.
"I always thought that they would look really cute together!!!" said Vicki.
"Now I wanna see what Ruby looks like!" complained Gigi.
Vicki flipped through her year book and found a group picture. "Here's a group picture, you see that girl who's looking away, that's Ruby!" announced Vicki.
"Wow, she's so pretty, even though you can’t see the picture very clearly, you can still tell that she is very pretty!" said Gigi.
Kristy and Alec looked at the picture carefully, she reminded them of somebody. Jimmy on the other hand was trying to imagine what she really looked like.
"What was she looking at?" asked Alec.
"I think she was looking at some guy cute guy!" laughed Vicki.
"You're friends seem very cool! I'd like to meet them one day!' said Gigi.
"They don't sound as bad as how Joyce described them!" said Alec.
"That's just them when they're not angry or anyhing,"replied Vicki.
There was a silence in the room.
"So Vicki, how about we take you out tomorrow and show you around the neighbour hood," suggested Gigi.
"Alright," agreed Vicki. "You girls can show me some handsome guys!" she exclaimed.
"Hey, aren't we handsome enough for you?" asked Alec.
"You guys are cute and handsome, but more on the the lines of cute. You're more of Ruby's type, not mine," answered Vicki.
"Thanks, I think," replied Alec.
They laughed and chatted all night, until about midnight, the Sus and Yangs were to drunk to drive home so they spent the night.
Alec slept in Jimmy's room while the girls all slept in Vicki's room.

~Jimmy's Room~
Alec had already fallen asleep, while Jimmy just laid there starring at the ceiling. He remembered her giggles, and her voice which filled his heart with warmth. Why was he feeling this way? He laid their for an hour until he finally fell asleep.
At about two in the morning Alec awoke, he had dreamt about Ruby again, not Ruby Lin, but his Ruby. His dream was just a flash back to when he first had feelings for Ruby. When he had gotten his tonge stuck to the lamp-post and she helped him. "I have to find her one day, I just have to," he vowed to himself silently. He fell asleep.
