Amanda couldn't get the thought of Wonbin out of her head, she looked over to her clock it was seven A.M. She decided to go check up on Wonbin and make sure he was home and safe. She washed her face and got dressed in her sweat pants and t-shirt. She walked up the stairs and knocked on his door.
Wonbin began to stir, he heard knocking, he got up and walked over to the door and looked out the peep hole, he saw Amanda. Wonbin looked around his apartment, it was a mess, he grabbed all the things he was looking at last night, and threw it all back into the box and then threw it in the storage room. He ran to the door, stopping to check his reflection in the mirror. He looked horrible. He opened the door, smiling, "Hey, what brings you up here so early in the morning?" he asked.
Amanda saw him and smiled. "Oh...umm...you see last night you left so quickly and I...I was worried about you," answered Amanda. "Are you okay?"
Wonbin looked at her and smiled, he closed his eyes and nodded his head, "I'm feeling better, thanks for caring, pumpkin," he said hugging her. "I'm sorry if I worried you." Even though he felt terrible, but he didn't want Amanda to worry. Being able to hug her, made him feel a lot easier, more relaxed, more in control of his actions.
Amanda hugged him back, she looked up at him and smiled, "Aren't you going to invite me in?" she asked.
Wonbin pulled her inside and made her sit on the couch. He looked at her and held her hands, "I'm sorry for worrying you," he said. "I don't mean to."
"What's bothering you? I can tell it’s got you really worked up, I've never seen you like this," Amanda said.
"Mandy...there's a lot of things we don't know about each other. I have my secrets and so do you, it'll take time and understanding, until we finally fully understand each other, and know what the other is thinking," explained Wonbin.
"I know," answered Amanda.
Wonbin held her hands tightly, "Mandy I...I..," he was cut off by a series of sneezing. "Excuse me," he said.
"Bless you," laughed Amanda. She felt his forehead, it was fairly warm. "You're catching a cold," she said looking into his eyes. She stood up, pulled him into his room, and tucked him in. "Stay here, and rest. I'll get you a hot water bottle, and make you some congee, okay?" she announced.
Wonbin shook his head, "I'm...okay...really," he said but ended up sneezing in between each word.
Amanda gave him a peck on the cheek, "Take a nap, I'm going to the market to get some things for you now, alright?" she stood up.
Wonbin was holding her hand still. He pulled her hand back and kissed it, "Thank you, pumpkin," he announced, smiling at her.
Amanda nodded then left.

~Edison and Ruby's Flat~
Ruby began to stir, she stretched her arms, and felt the spot beside her it was empty, she looked up to see where Edison was, then remembered she'd locked him out last night. Suddenly there was a loud crash coming from the living room, Ruby sat up and opened the door, finding Edison standing there smiling at her. She looked around and saw a lamp broken. "What happened?" she asked him.
"I missed you so much, I accidentally knocked over a lamp," he answered, wrapping his arms around her waist.
"You nearly gave me a heart attack!" exclaimed Ruby pushing him away. "It's seven in the morning!" she exclaimed. "I should be sleeping still." She closed the door on him, and then went back to bed; she forgot to lock the door.
Just as she was beginning to doze off, she felt someone hugging her tightly. "Leave me be, I'm sleeping," Ruby said.
Edison hugged her tighter, "I couldn't sleep last night," he said. "I need to hug my wife, or else I won't be able to sleep," he said giving her a peck on the cheek.
"Go away, I'm still angry," she said, trying to push him off.
"Sshhh," Edison whispered. "Sleep now, we still have to go shopping for our things at home later." He closed his eyes, and hugged Ruby tightly, within just a few minutes, he fell asleep.
Ruby heard him snoring softly, she smiled to herself, closed her eyes and went back to sleep.

~Photo Shoot~
“Where’s Bondy?” Patrick asked, Annie and Raymond, who were the designers of this new line of clothes.
“I’m not sure,” answered Raymond.
“Last night, her brother and sister in-law came back from their honeymoon, we were all there, but she said she was leaving early, she didn’t want to miss the shoot today,” explained Annie.
“She’s usually very punctual, where is she?” Patrick mumbled to himself.
Just then Bondy entered the studio.
“You’re late!” Patrick scolded.
“Only half an hour,” answered Bondy.
“Where were you?” he asked.
“I…I was out,” replied Bondy. “My brother came back from his honeymoon, last night.”
“They said you left early,” interrupted Patrick.
“I didn’t finish, you see…I was going to go home, but then I ran into an old friend. She wasn’t in a good mood, so I stayed and talked to her all night. I didn’t even get to go home,” explained Bondy.
Patrick looked at her, “Go change,” he told her.
Bondy changed and did the photo shoot. Her mind was completely lost. There was so much running through her mind. She thought about what had happened last night.
~Flash Back~
“You’re really back!” Bondy gasped.
The two girls stared at each other.
Bondy looked at the woman in front of her. She’d aged gradually. She looks at least ten years older than she really was. There were bags under her eyes from lack of sleep. They were also red from crying. What had really surprised Bondy was what she was holding in her hands.
~End Flash Back~
Bondy’s thoughts were interrupted by the photographer.
“Please stand up, we’ve enough pictures of you sitting down,” announced the photographer.
Bondy snapped out of her daze, and concentrated on her modeling.
After the shoot, Annie approached her. “Bondy, you okay?” Annie asked. “You seem out of it today.”
“Yeah, I’m fine,” answered Bondy.
“Come let’s go for lunch, it’s on Patrick,” laughed Annie.
Bondy nodded.
The entire staff left the studio, down to the parking lot.
Julian was waiting out front with a bouquet of roses. He saw Annie. He snuck up behind her, raise his hands and the bouquet above her, then lowered it in front of her face, surprising her.
Annie was startled she jumped back a bit, into his embrace. She looked up and saw Julian, “What are you doing here?” she asked. “I was about to yell molest!”
Julian hugged her, “For you sweetie,” he said putting the roses in her hands.
“It’s not my birthday, not yours, not an anniversary, what’s this for?” she asked.
“It’s an anniversary,” announced Julian.
“Na-uh, our anniversary is in September,” argued Annie.
Julian nodded, “Yes it is, today is the day we first met,” announced Julian.
Annie thought for awhile then smiled, she gave him a peck on the cheek. “I completely forgot, sorry,” she said.
Julian smiled at her, revealing his adorable dimples. “You can make it up for me tonight,” he whispered.
Annie nodded. She turned to her co-workers, “Sorry, I can’t have lunch with you guys today,” she apologized.
“It’s okay, maybe another time,” replied Patrick. “Let’s go,” he told everyone else.
“Bye Annie,” Raymond waved.
Annie nodded.
They all left, Annie, who was still in Julian’s embrace. Then it hit her, she promised to have lunch with someone else today too. “Julian let me use your phone,” she said. “Mine’s dead.”
Julian gave her, his phone.
Annie dialed a number. “Hello, can you take a message for Dr. Frankie Lam? Tell him that Annie can’t make it to lunch today, alright thank you, bye,” Annie hung up.
“Frankie Lam?” Julian asked, lifting his right eye brow at her.
“I ran into him yesterday on my lunch,” answered Annie. “He was just leaving, and asked me out for lunch today. Are you jealous?” Annie laughed looking up at him and smiling.
“Noooo,” answered Julian. “You’re having lunch with me right now, why should I be jealous. I’d only be jealous if you stood me up.”
Annie gave him a peck on the lips, “Never,” she giggled.
Julian pulled her in the car and drove off.

Wonbin awoke at about two, in the afternoon. He got out of bed and walked into the living room, finding Amanda asleep on the couch. Everything was clean. He sat down on the couch beside her. Then he heard a rumble. He looked at his stomach. It wasn’t him. He looked at Amanda, and smiled.
Amanda began sneezing. Wonbin felt her head, it was burning up. He brought out a blanket and pillow for her. He went into the kitchen, and scooped some congee in a bowl and brought it out to Amanda. He shook her to wake her up.
Amanda opened her eyes and looked at him. “Yes?” she asked. “Shouldn’t you be in bed resting?” Amanda sneezed again.
“I’m fine,” replied Wonbin. “Look at you, you’re the one who’s sick,” he helped her sit up. He picked up the bowl of congee and blew on it to cool it down, he then began feeding her.
Amanda opened her mouth a little bit for him to feed her. “Aren’t you hungry? I made it for you,” she said.
Wonbin smiled, he scooped a spoon and ate it. “Yum,” he said. “It’s really good.” He ate another spoon.
“How about me?” Amanda asked.
Wonbin then feed her a spoon, then him, then her. Eventually it was all gone. He got up to get more congee, and continued eating with Amanda. For that moment, he completely forgot all about, the phone call.

“Michelle, what’s wrong?” Kenix asked.
“Love sucks,” replied Michelle.
“But aren’t you the one who always says you wants to fall in love?” Kenix asked.
“Yeah, but I want to be like Ruby and Edison, or Annie and Julian,” answered Michelle.
“What’s the difference?” Athena asked. “You got Lu Yi, and the two of you seem to be on good terms.”
“True, but I don’t feel that spark or magic of love that everyone always talks about,” explained Michelle.
“Love comes in many shapes and forms,” replied Athena. “Take Ruby and Edison for example, they’re both crazy about each other, and are open about how they feel. Then there’s Teresa and Tae, they don’t say much, but they’re in love, they just want to be around each other, and are happy. Then Shawn and Charlene, they aren’t even official yet, but they like each other, but are just too shy to say anything. Vic and Vicki, Vic listens and does anything Vicki says. He babies her. Even me and Dicky, in the past he loved me a lot and would show it or say it every time we see each other, but now he doesn’t talk to me as much or even look at me, but I know he still loves me,” announced Athena.
Michelle looked at Athena everything she said was somewhat true, but she disagreed with the last one. It doesn’t seem like Dicky loved Athena. It seemed more like he was running away from her. “Uh…okay,” answered Michelle, nodding her head.
“Maybe you and Lu Yi, aren’t meant to be,” announced Kenix. “To tell you the truth I just you’re just with him for the sake of your engagement, I think you already found your lover, but just can’t admit it.”
Michelle looked at Kenix. “I agree with the first part you said, but the second half is totally stupid, I don’t love that stupid ugly lump of coal!” announced Michelle.
“No one said, you loved Raymond,” replied Kenix. “I think you know who you love.”
“I…I,” Michelle didn’t say anything.

“Gil, what should I wear?” Charlene asked.
“Where are you going? Out with Shawn?” Gillian teased.
“No, he never asked me, why should I go anywhere with him?” answered Charlene sounding mad.
“Then where are you going?” Gillian asked.
“I’m going to meet my MSN friend,” answered Charlene.
“Oh that guy you’re always talking to online?” assumed Gillian.
Charlene nodded. “I’ve been talking to him for over four years, and still I don’t know what he looks like. Whenever I ask for a picture, he sends me a baby picture.”
“Watch him be some fifty year old man, with no hair,” teased Gillian.
“Don’t jinx it,” Charlene scolded.
“Probably is, what kind of person would use tofu, as a screen name?” Gillian asked.
“I think it’s kind of cute,” answered Charlene.
“Right, why am I even telling you this?” asked Gillian. “You’re screen name is just as bad, chubby chicken.”
“Go kiss Jimmy,” Charlene said pushing Gillian out of the room.
Charlene got dress and went out. She went to the planned meeting spot, at an outdoor café, by the park called, Tea Time. She wore a white top, blue jeans, and sunglasses as promised. She also had to wear a blue jacket. She took a seat and ordered a coke.
Shawn arrived at the café, he was supposed to meet his MSN friend. He was told to wear blue jeans a black top and red jacket. He looked around and saw Charlene. “Oh shit, if she knew I was here to meet a girl, she’ll never speak to me again,” he scolded himself. He looked at Charlene, she was dressed in the exact same clothes as his MSN buddy. “Could she be chubby chicken?” he asked. He hoped so. Shawn saw an old bald man dressed in jeans and a red top. He called the man over, and gave him some money, then pointed him over to Charlene.
The man walked over to Charlene and sat down, smiling at her.
Charlene looked at the person in front of her. She looked at his clothes, she had a freaked out expression on her face. Her mouth hung open.
“Hi, I’m Tofu a 55 year old man who sells tofu,” he introduced.
Charlene was speechless, “Oh my god! Gillian was right!” she exclaimed hiding her face in her hands.
“Are you chubby chicken?” he asked.
Charlene nodded in disappointment. She dropped her head to the table and started hitting it against the table, not noticing that the old man left, and someone else replaced him.
“Buy a flower for your girlfriend sir?” a girl who was about her age asked.
Charlene’s head shot up, “Do I look like his girlfriend? Look at him he’s old enough to be my grandfather!” she exclaimed yelling at the girl, not even looking at the guy in front of her.
The girl looked at Charlene weirdly. She looked at the guy.
“Give me all your flowers,” he said, handing her some money.
The girl smiled at him and winked, handing him the flowers.
Charlene turned to look at the guy, that old man turned into Shawn. She pointed at Shawn and gawked at him, with her mouth wide open.
The girl winked at Shawn, then turned to Charlene and laughed, “Have fun with your grandfather.” She then left.
Shawn looked at Charlene and smiled. He pulled her down to her seat.
“What are you doing here?” Charlene finally asked. “Where did tofu go?”
Shawn laughed, “I have a problem,” he told her.
Charlene looked at him.
“You see this girl I’m trying to woo, doesn’t seem interested in me, instead she goes on a date with a 55 year old man, rather than me,” announced Shawn.
“You didn’t say anything to me, how was I supposed to know?” Charlene asked. “When you found out I was Charlene not Gillian, you kind of stopped talking to me. What am I suppose to think?”
“So you go out with a man old enough to be your grandfather?” Shawn asked.
“I was just meeting my MSN buddy, I didn’t know he was some 55 year old bald man, who actually sold tofu,” replied Charlene, who was really disappointed.
“Did you have really high expectations for this person?” Shawn asked.
“I guess,” replied Charlene. “He didn’t have to be a Brad Pitt, but at least have to be someone around my age.”
“What do you expect, you met him online, the internet is full of weird freaks claiming to be what they aren’t,” explained Shawn.
“Well I never lied,” answered Charlene, playing with the straw in her drink.
“No, you didn’t,” laughed Shawn, touching her hand. “But you never told me how cute you were.”
Charlene looked at him, pulled her hand away, and blushed. “What are you doing here anyways?” she asked.
“Meeting an old friend for the first time,” he answered.
Charlene looked at his clothes, something hit her, “You’re tofu!” she exclaimed.
Shawn smiled and nodded.
“So that old guy…” she began.
“Just to make sure you were chubby chicken, or else I would’ve made a fool out of myself, in front of both you and her,” Shawn explained.
Charlene jumped up and hugged him, “Oh my, gosh! You don’t know how happy I am it’s you and not that other guy!”
Shawn chuckled.
Charlene pushed him away, “Oh so you say you were wooing me, but you go meet another girl behind my back!” announced Charlene.
“Not true, that girl is you,” replied Shawn.
“You didn’t know that until now,” Charlene declared.
“But you kept nagging me to meet you, of course I had to come, I already promised,” explained Shawn.
“So you glad it was me? Or were you expecting more?” she asked.
“I never imagined you’d be this cute,” he replied. “Now you have to be my girlfriend for sure.”
“Me as in Charlene or Chubby Chicken?” she asked.
“I want Charlene, but since I’ve seen Chubby Chicken, I want both now,” announced Shawn, hugging her.

Athena took the bus to the police station to see Dicky. She’d made him some soup. She was about to knock on the door, but heard him speaking on the phone, so waited.
Dicky was on the phone, “Sweetheart, its less than two more weeks until August, then will I be able to see you again?” he asked.
“I’ll tell you then, I need to go now, bye,” Jessica said, wanting to hang up the phone.
“Love you,” Dicky declared, pretending to kiss the phone.
Jessica hung up.
Dicky smiled and placed the phone back on the hook.
Athena felt something hit her heart, “Who was he talking to?” she asked herself. She knocked on the door.
“Come in!” Dicky called.
Athena opened the door and entered.
Dicky looked up, “Hey, what’s up?” he asked.
Athena smiled sweetly at him, and stood beside his big black chair, “Nothing really, I made you some soup, it’s your favorite, remember I always use to make it for you,” she said, pouring the soup of the thermos, and handing it to him.
Dicky turned his chair to look at her, he reached out and accepted it, he smelled, it smelt real good. He blew on it to cool it down, then drank it all in a gulp. “Still as delicious as always,” he announced,, handing the bowl back to Athena.
Athena took it and placed it on the table. She moved closer to him and sat on his lap, and wrapped her arms around his neck.
“What…what are you doing?” he asked.
She covered his lips with her finger, then began caressing his cheek. He looked up at him and kissed him.
Dicky just sat there with his eyes wide opened, looking around the room, wondering what to do.
“AHEM!” someone announced.
Athena slowly broke away from Dicky, she looked at his lips and said, “I love you.”
Dicky looked at her then at the people standing at the door. It was Tae and Gigi.
“What are you two doing here?” Athena asked.
“Gigi was filming around here, she dropped by to see if we wanted to go eat,” answered Tae.
Dicky was staring at Gigi.
“And what are you two doing?” Tae asked.
“I…” Dicky didn’t know what to say. He looked at Athena. “You mind?” he asked, telling her to get off.
Athena kissed him again, then got off.
Gigi couldn’t take it anymore, she never thought Dicky was that kind of guy, she turned around and ran.
“Gigi!” Tae yelled after her, but she didn’t turn around. Tae looked at Dicky and shook his head.
Dicky didn’t know why but he immediately stood up and ran after her. “GI!” he yelled. “Gigi, wait!”
Athena watched him run after Gigi, “So he’s with Gigi,” she thought. “I’m not going to let her take Dicky away from me,” she said looking out the door. She walked out of Dicky’s office. She turned to Tae, “Tell Dicky, I’ll call him later,” she instructed.
Tae nodded, after Athena left, he sat down and shook his head.
Dicky was still running after Gigi. She got in her car and started crying. Dicky reached the parking lot, trying to find her, but couldn’t. Then he saw her crying in her car. He approached the car, he opened the door to the passenger seat and got in. He looked at Gigi, she was crying, for some reason it hurt him to see her cry. He began patting her back.
Gigi pushed his hand away. “Go away, go back to kissing Athena,” she cried. “I don’t need you. I don’t care!”
“I’m sorry,” answered Dicky.
“You’re sorry I had to see that,” announced Gigi.
“No, I’m sorry I made you cry,” replied Dicky. “She just kissed me, I had nothing to do with it, what am I suppose to do?” he asked.
“Why do you care if I cry or not?” Gigi asked. “Why do you care what I think of you and Athena?”
“I want everyone to know that I don’t love Athena anymore,” declared Dicky. “If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been avoiding her, but she always appear right in front of me. She wants us to get back together, but I don’t. I don’t want to hurt her, you understand? She’s been through enough, she doesn’t need me breaking her heart. Think what you want I’m not explaining this situation to you anymore. Goodbye,” he said getting out of the car.
Gigi watched him leave.

Ruby and Edison were walking hand in hand downtown, they were looking for more things for their home.
“You aren’t going to lock me out tonight, are you sweetie?” Edison asked.
“Maybe,” replied Ruby.
“Didn’t you miss me?” Edison asked.
Ruby shook her head. “Not really, I haven’t slept so well since I got married to you, I finally got a peaceful night’s sleep, and I got the bed all to myself,” announced Ruby.
“Ya?” Edison asked, looking at her. “You didn’t miss me? You’re husband? The person who protects you from all the little monsters that hide under the bed. And the ghosts in your closet?”
Ruby slapped his arm, “There aren’t any ghosts in the closet, or monsters under the bed,” she said.
“You sure about that honey?” he asked, trying to scare her. “Think about it, we have our own place, and a huge room, with a big bed, and it gets really dark at night. You close the door too, of course the monsters and ghosts are going to come after a beautiful girl like yourself. They probably will caress your cheek and poke you and…” Edison began poking her, and caressing her face.
Ruby slapped him harder, “Shut up!” she said.
Edison laughed. He began looking at a futon. “This might be useful,” he announced.
“Why?” Ruby asked. “We already have couches, and really nice ones too.”
“Yes the couches at home are nice and comfortable, but they aren’t suitable for sleeping on,” He said feeling the futon. He sat down on it and tested out the futon. “Very comfy!” he announced.
“You plan on sleeping in the living room every night?” Ruby asked.
“We’ll ya,” answered Edison, looking at her as if he were serious. “You said you like having the big old bed to yourself. Now that I think about it, I wouldn’t sleep in that room if you paid me too. Especially with all those creepy monsters,” replied Edison.
“You can’t sleep out there every night!” exclaimed Ruby. “What about me?”
“What about you?” Edison teased, walking out of the store.
Ruby pouted, and ran after him. She held his hand.

Bondy came home and found Wonbin and Amanda, sitting on the couch watching television. “What are you doing home?” Bondy asked.
“Why shouldn’t I be at home?” Wonbin asked.
“You’re supposed to be out right now,” replied Bondy. “Didn’t anyone call you?”
“No, not that I know of, I left me cell in my car, I didn’t bother to go get it yet,” answered Wonbin.
Bondy picked up the cordless phone and threw it at him. “Check your messages,” she demanded.
“What’s with you today?” Wonbin asked. He picked up the cordless and dialed his phone, and checked the messages.
“Wonbin, I’ll be waiting for you at Antonio’s at 7. Don’t worry I’ll be there this time.”
The message ended.
Wonbin looked at the clock, it was almost 8. He looked at Amanda. “I need to go out right now,” he told her. “Wait for me to get changed and everything, then I’ll take you downstairs.”
Amanda looked at him, he was getting worked up again. She nodded.
Wonbin quickly showered and got dressed. He ran out of his room, grabbed his keys and Amanda’s hand. He dragged her downstairs, gave her a peck on the cheek, and ran into the waiting elevator. “Bye!” he yelled as the doors were closing.
Amanda waved goodbye to him, then entered her apartment.
Wonbin drove quickly to Antonio’s Restaurant. He stood outside looking in, he saw her sitting there waiting. She looked tired and restless. He took a deep breath and entered the restaurant.
“How many?” the waiter asked.
“I’m looking for someone,” answered Wonbin, his eyes still locked on the woman who once broke his heart. He approached the table.
The girl was in deep thought. “He’s not going to come,” she said to herself.
Wonbin pulled out a chair and sat down in front of her.
She looked up at him and smiled. “You came!” she exclaimed smiling.
Wonbin nodded, “I just got your message, and came her immediately,” he explained.
“It’s okay, as long as you showed,” she said.
Wonbin looked at her, she looked so different, she looked so much older, if he didn’t know any better he would’ve thought she was at least 30 years old. She looked at her hands. “You got married,” he said.
She nodded.
“To Deric?” he asked.
She nodded again.
“You happy?” Wonbin asked.
She looked away. “Yes, at first…” she answered.
“How about now?” Wonbin asked.
She shook her head. “Let’s not talk about me, how are you?” she asked,
Her hair was covering half her face, Wonbin reached out trying to brush her hair away.
“NO! Don’t!” she exclaimed, trying to stop his hand.
Wonbin stopped and looked at her, he reached out and pushed her hair out of her face. She had a black eye. “HE BET YOU!” exclaimed Wonbin.
“It was an accident,” she replied.
“What happened to your lip?” he asked pointing to her swollen lip. “He did that too, huh?”
She didn’t answer.
“Bernice! Tell me what’s going on. What happened? Did Deric beat you?” exclaimed Wonbin.
She held her purse, “I shouldn’t have come to you,” she said trying to stand up.
Wonbin grabbed her hand.
“Ouch!” she cried in pain.
Wonbin looked at her arm, she was wearing a long sleeve dress. He pulled her sleeve up, there were bruises all over her arm. “Bernice Lui, tell me what happened!” he demanded.
“I’m sorry Wonbin, I know you hate me and never want to see me again, but I didn’t know who else to turn to,” she cried.
“What’s the matter?” Wonbin asked.
“Deric’s cheating on me, he’s having an affair,” she answered.
“You sure?” Wonbin asked.
Bernice nodded, “I caught them at least three times, each time a different girl too.”
“Did you talk to him about it?” Wonbin asked.
Bernice nodded.
“And?” he asked.
Bernice looked at the bruises on her arm, “Look at me now,” she announced.
“You left him?” Wonbin asked.
Bernice shook her head.
“He kicked me out,” she cried. “Now I think he’s trying to have me killed.”
“What?” Wonbin asked. “Deric wouldn’t do that, I’ve known him my whole life.”
“Did you think he’d betray you and sleep with me behind your back? Did you think he’d treat me like this?” she asked.
“I’ll talk to him about it, I won’t let him do anything to you,” Wonbin said holding her hand.
She leaned on his shoulder and cried. “I’m so sorry, I never meant to hurt you. I never meant to ever come back to you and ask for help. I know you hate me,” she cried. “But I had no where else to go.”
Wonbin patted her back, “Its okay. You’ll be okay, I promise.”

~Edison and Ruby~
They then went home and had dinner. They watched a bit of television, then Edison went to take a shower, then Ruby. When Ruby was done, she came out and saw Edison all dress, he was lying on the couch with a pillow and a blanket, reading a book. Ruby sat down on the single couch and looked at him. Five minutes later Edison looked up from his book and smiled at her. “You done?” he asked.
Ruby nodded.
Edison put his book down, book marking the page he was on. He looked at Ruby and caressed her cheek. He kissed her forehead. “Good night, sleep tight,” he said, before giving her a quick kiss on the lips.
Ruby stood up and slowly approached her big dark room. She kept looking back at Edison who returned to his reading. “There aren’t any monsters and ghosts in my room, “ she repeated to herself. She sat on the bed and tucked herself in. She left the door open, the light from the living room lit her room up a bit. She hid under the blanket.
Edison was watching her, from by the door. He was laughing to himself. He turned off all the lights in the living room, making everything pitch black.
Ruby hid her face in the mattress, she swore she heard voices from underneath the bed. She felt something touching her. Ruby sat up screaming, she ran out of the room and jumped on top of Edison.
“Oof!” exclaimed Edison, sitting up. Ruby was practically choking him. “Honey…what’s wrong?” he asked.
“There are monsters and ghosts in the room!” she exclaimed.
Edison laughed. He stood up and helped her up. He held her hand and led her into the room and turned on the lights. “Look no monsters or ghosts,” announced Edison.
“I heard voices,” said Ruby, still hiding behind him.
Edison let go of her hand and walked by the window. “There are people on the streets talking, you left the window open, so you probably heard them talking,” explained Edison.
“There was something touching me on the bed,” Ruby said pointing to the bed.
Edison checked the bed. “Is this it?” he asked, showing her the huge teddy bear, he’d won for her on her birthday at the fair.
Ruby looked at it and nodded.
Edison laughed, “There’s nothing in here, go to sleep,” he said leaving the room.
Ruby grabbed on to his arm, “What kind of husband are you?” she exclaimed. “You rather sleep on the couch, then in this nice big and warm room, and bed, with your loving and beautiful wife.”
Edison looked at her and laughed. He looked at her and pulled her close to him, “Now what kind of idiot do you take me for?” he asked. “How can I reject such an offer?” he asked, smirking at her.

~Next Day~
Teresa and Annie went into Jessica’s room to wake her up.
“Jesse wake up!” announced Annie jumping on the bed.
“WHAT! Huh! What happened?” exclaimed Jessica throwing the blanket off of her with Annie too.
“Aww!” cried Annie.
Teresa helped Annie up, “You’re worse than Ruby,” Teresa scolded.
“What do you two want?” Jessica asked falling back on to the bed.
“We need to do some shopping today,” announced Annie,
“Two more minutes,” said Jessica hiding under her blanket.
“Nope,” declared Teresa pulling the blanket away from Jessica. “I closed down the clinic today for you, let’s go!”
Jessica lazily got out of bed and went into the washroom. She brushed her teeth and took a shower. As she was blow drying her hair, her head started hurting. All of a sudden she blacked out.
Jessica awoke five minutes later on the floor of the bathroom. She stood up thinking about what had happened. Ada’s words ran through her mind.
~Flash Back~
“You shouldn’t get too worked up, you need to be ready for your operation,” announced Ada.
“Don’t worry,” announced Jessica. “I’m fine really.”
“I still think you should tell them,” Ada said.
“If it comes up tomorrow, or anything I’ll tell them then,” lied Jessica.
“You said it,” Ada announced.
Jessica nodded.
~End Flash Back~
Jessica shook her head and continued blow drying her hair. When she was done she went to her room and got dressed.
Edison drove Ruby to Jessica’s apartment, while he went to see Wonbin.
All the girls went out shopping, except Bondy who had to work. While Dicky and Tae were working, Edison and Wonbin had a talk, and the other guys were just around.

“I saw her last night,” Wonbin told his cousin.
“Bernice?” Edison asked.
Wonbin nodded.
“What did she want?” Edison asked.
“She and Deric got married,” announced Wonbin.
“And?” he asked.
“He’s been abusing her, and now he’s having an affair,” replied Wonbin. “He kicked her out.”
“And she’s coming crawling back to you?” Edison asked.
“It’s not like that,” replied Wonbin. “She says, he wants her dead.”
“You got to be kidding me, Deric, want her dead?” Edison laughed. “You don’t believe her do you?”
“It doesn’t matter, I’m going to help her out,” explained Wonbin.
“You aren’t thinking about getting back with her are you?” Edison asked. “What about Amanda?”
“No, she still only loves Deric, and I would never plan on hurting Amanda,” replied Wonbin.
“How are you going to help her?” Edison asked.
“I’ll talk to Deric,” answered Wonbin.
Edison nodded. “Are you going to tell Amanda about Bernice?”
Wonbin shrugged his shoulders. “Is it necessary?” he asked.
“You don’t want her to misunderstand,” said Edison. “And besides, my wife locked me out of the room the other night, because I didn’t tell her what was going on with you. If something happens between you and Amanda, she’ll never talk to me again.”
Wonbin nodded, “I’ll tell her when the time comes,” announced Wonbin.
Edison nodded.

“Calling all units, there’s a hostage situation at Royal Jewelers, at the mall,” announced the radio.
“SHIT!” exclaimed Dicky. “Jessica and the girls are there!”
Tae stepped on the accelerator and drove to the mall as fast as he could.

“Bondy, someone is here for you,” announced Patrick’s secretary.
“Can’t you see she’s doing a photo shoot?” exclaimed Patrick.
“Yes sir, I told her that,” said the secretary. “But she says, tell Bondy that Bernice is here.”
Bondy looked up, “I need to see her,” announced Bondy, running to the secretary. “Take me to her.”

Jessica and the girls were having fun. They all went into a jewelry store, to look at the jewelry.
“My ring is way prettier than all these rings,” announced Vicki.
“Mine is too,” said Ruby, looking at her ring.
“Wow, look at those earrings, they’re beautiful!” exclaimed Cecilia, pointing to a pair of earrings.
“Yeah!” agreed Michelle.
“Waw! Look at that rock!” exclaimed Kristy pointing to a huge diamond.
“Probably worth millions,” said Athena gawking at it.
Suddenly three men entered the store. All wearing masks. One went behind the cashier and pointed a gun at him, while the other two quickly closed the doors. There was also a security guard in the store.
“Freeze,” he yelled taking out his gun.
One of the guys shot the guard in the leg, the other shot his hand, causing the gun to fall to the ground and underneath the counter.
Jessica watched the gun carefully.
“EVERYONE GET DOWN!” the ring leader yelled.
All the people in the store got down.
“Hands over your head,” the big and bulky one ordered.
Jessica slowly crouched down, and moved really slowly towards the gun under the counter.
Two of the robbers started grabbing all the jewelry and stuffing them all into bags. The ring leader was at the cash register opening it and grabbing all the cash. Someone caught his eye. He walked over to Jessica was an inch away from the gun. He pulled her up by her hair. “Hey sweetheart remember me?” he asked.
Jessica looked at him, “I don’t know you,” she yelled. “Let me go!” She tried to kick him.
“Ooo feisty I like that,” he laughed.
“Let go jerk!” she yelled.
“Oh Jessica honey don’t you remember me?” he asked.
“Who are you?” Jessica asked.
“Don’t you remember just four almost five months ago, I met you at a bar, but that not for some reason another gang showed up, then cops, and I got arrested,” he said.
“You’re?” Jessica asked.
He took off his mask, “Come on sweetheart, don’t you remember, I lent you my phone, you’re boyfriend stood you up. You in that hot, sexy, skimpy dress,” he cooed in her ears.
“Ekin Cheung! You’re suppose to be in jail!” Jessica exclaimed.
“Came out to see you honey,” he said nibbling on her ear.
Jessica stomped on his foot, and elbowed his stomach.
He let go of her, and held his stomach in pain. “BITCH!” he yelled.
Jessica quickly grabbed the gun from underneath the counter, and pointed it at Ekin, “Freeze, or I’ll shoot!” she threatened.
The two other guys pointed there guns at Jessica.
Ekin looked at her, “You sure you know how to use one of those?” he asked. “There are two other guns pointing at you. You’ll die before you even pull the trigger.”
“Let’s try it,” said Jessica. “Will I die before I pull this trigger?”
“Come on sweetheart, put the gun down, you don’t want to do this,” said Ekin. “How about after we rob this place, we split it 50/50? Or you can stay by my side and be my toy.”
Jessica laughed, “Nice offer, but I’ll pass. The police are going to get here soon.”
Ekin laughed, “What can they do? I got hostages and fire power.”
“And I got you,” replied Jessica. “You horny bastard!”
Ekin laughed, “Ya I’m real horny, I want you bad now.”
“You’re surround, there’s no escape, put your weapons down, and come out with your hands up,” announced Dicky, who was just outside.
“Back away, or we’ll kill the hostages!” announced Ekin, telling his men to point there guns at the hostages. “Give you ten seconds to back away.”
The two men pointed their guns at a little boy and Cecilia.
“Ten, Nine, Eight,” Ekin began counting, forgetting about Jessica.
Dicky and the cops outside began backing away.
When Ekin got to five, Jessica realized that they forgot about her, and quickly pointed her gun at the two other robbers, and shot their guns out of their hands. She shot them in the leg too.
Ekin immediately turned around, “What the fuc…”
Jessica aimed her gun back at him. “Did I forget to tell you that it’s Officer Jessica Hsuan?” she announced, shooting his arm, causing him to drop the gun.
“Yay, for Jess!” exclaimed Ruby, standing up.
“Stay down!” Jessica scolded. She kept her gun pointed at Ekin, and slowly approached him and the door, and opened it. The police started coming in. She still kept her gun aimed at Ekin.
Dicky, Tae, and a bunch of police officers entered. Tae took his gun and aimed it at Ekin. Jessica finally put her gun down. She let out a loud sigh. Dicky looked at her and smiled.
“Cuff em boys,” announced Dicky.
The cuffed the two robbers and helped the injured security guard up.
Dicky held Jessica by the shoulders, and looked at her lovingly, he hugged her tightly.
Jessica smiled and hugged him back.
Ekin quickly grabbed his gun from off the floor and aimed it at Dicky and Jessica.
Jessica saw this and pushed Dicky away hard, at the exact moment the trigger was pulled.
Dicky fell to the floor, he heard the fire, then another. He looked over to Tae, who just pulled the trigger. Then looked back to see Jessica falling to the floor. He stood up and ran to her side. “JESS!” he screamed. “Don’t…don’t!” he exclaimed panicked. He held her tightly.
All the girls looked up and saw Jessica on the floor, and Dicky hugging her.
“JESSICA!” Ruby exclaimed running to her side.
Ada, Teresa, Annie and Vicki, also ran to her side.
Tears were coming out of Dicky’s eyes, “No! Why did you push me out of the way? Jessica!”
Jessica felt a tear his tear hit her, she looked up at him, “You know why,” she said with hardly any breath. “You’re my buddy,” she laughed.
Dicky held her tightly, “I’m not your buddy, I’m not,” he cried.
“You’re crying for me,” she laughed, wiping his tears away.
“Jess, don’t leave me! Please! Jess! I love you! I love you! Don’t leave me please!” he said.
Jessica smiled, “Do you really mean it this time?” she asked.
Dicky nodded. “I meant it last time too. I love you!” he repeated.
“I…I love you too,” replied Jessica.
Dicky bent down and kissed her gently. “I’m sorry,” he cried. “Please don’t go. It’s almost August! You said you’ll forgive me in August!”
Jessica shook her head, she looked up into his loving eyes. Her head began to hurt again, and she blacked out.
Dicky saw her close her eyes, his heart stopped. “JESSICA!” he screamed. “JESSICA! Open your eyes! PLEASE!”
Ada looked at Jessica, and felt her pulse. “She’s okay, she just fainted. We need to get her to the hospital, now,” she told Dicky. “Call the ambulance.”
Dicky looked at Jessica. He picked her up and ran, out.
“Where are you going?” Teresa yelled at him.
“The ambulance takes too long!” he yelled back.
Ruby stood up and ran outside. Annie, Teresa and Vicki followed. They ran after Dicky and Jessica. They ran right pass Edison and Wonbin.
“RUBY!” Edison called.
She didn’t turn back. The girls reached outside and saw Dicky put Jessica in his car and drive off to the hospital. The four girls all got in a taxi and went to the hospital.
Edison and Wonbin, went to the scene of the crime, where Tae and the rest of the girls: Ada, Kristy, Gigi, Cecilia, Grace, Charmaine, Michelle, Kenix, Amanda, Gillian, Charlene and Athena, were.
“Where did Ruby go?” Edison asked. “What happened?”
“They went to the hospital,” replied Kristy.
“Is Ruby hurt?” Edison asked, praying that she was okay.
“Jessica was shot,” exclaimed Gigi. “Ruby, Teresa, Vicki and Annie ran after them.”
“We need to get there now!” exclaimed Ada. “There’s some medical information about Jessica they need to know, before they do anything, or else she may die right now!”
They all drove to the hospital.
Dicky arrived at the hospital, he parked the car, and picked Jessica up and carried her into the hospital. “You’re going to be fine, you hear me, you’re going to be fine,” he said as tears were running down his cheek.
Ruby, Teresa, Annie, and Vicki, were right behind them.
“GET ME A DOCTOR!” exclaimed Dicky. He saw an empty stretcher and put Jessica on it. “Take her in! Save her!” exclaimed Dicky, yelling at the nurses.
“What’s going on here?” Frankie asked. He looked at the stretcher, then at Dicky, “What happened to her?”
“She was shot,” answered Dicky. “Save her, please!” Dicky begged.
Frankie nodded. He told the nurse, “Take this woman into the emergency room. Page Doctor Ada Choi, immediately. This woman as been shot, on the right shoulder, be careful, which antibiotics you use, she as a serious brain tumor,” he announced going into the emergency room.
“She doesn’t have a tumor!” Dicky yelled. He watched the stretcher be pushed into the emergency room. He fell to his knees and hid his face in his hands.
“Dicky you okay?” Ruby asked, trying to help him up.
“Leave me!” he said pushing her away.
They anxiously waited in front of the emergency room. Dicky was standing by the wall and banging his head on the wall.
The others soon arrived.
“Dr. Choi, Dr. Lam is waiting for you in the operating room,” announced one of the nurses.
Ada nodded. She headed into the emergency room, but Dicky stopped her.
“Jessica has a brain tumor?” he asked.
Ada looked to the floor.
“DOES SHE?” he asked shaking her.
“I…I promise I won’t tell,” replied Ada.
“Ada, tell us,” Ruby said.
“She wanted to keep it a secret,” answered Ada. “She doesn’t want you guys to worry.”
“DR. CHOI! DR. LAM NEEDS YOU KNOW!” exclaimed the nurse.
“I need to go,” exclaimed Ada, running in the emergency room.
Dicky started hitting his head against the wall again.
Gigi went up to him, “Don’t do that, you’re going to hurt yourself, it won’t help Jessica,” she told him.
Dicky pushed her away, “Leave me alone!” he yelled.
The girls were all crying.
“STOP CRYING!” Dicky yelled. “She’s going to be fine.”
Ruby cried even harder.
Edison went over to her and hugged her.
Ruby cried on his shoulders.
Tae comforted Teresa.
Wonbin was with Amanda.
All the other guys began arriving.
“LOUIS!” Kristy called.
Louis hugged her, “Are you okay?” he asked.
Kristy nodded. “But Jessica…” Kristy began crying.
“What? How’s Jess?” Louis asked anxiously.
“She was shot, saving Dicky.” Kristy said crying on his shoulder.
Louis’ eyes nearly popped out. He looked at Dicky. He went up to his friend and started yelling, he held Dicky by his shirt. “I TOLD YOU SHE LOVED YOU! YOU KNOW SHE’S ALWAYS LOVED YOU! I TOLD YOU! HOW COULD YOU LET HER GET HURT?” He punched Dicky to the ground. “All you’ve ever done to her was make her cry!”
“Louis stop!” Kristy said holding him back. “No one wanted this.”
Louis turned to look at the emergency room, “If anything happens to Jessica, I swear I’ll kill you,” Louis warned.
Dicky sat on the ground, he looked up at Louis and shook his head, there were tears in his eyes, “She’s going to be okay. She’s going to be fine,” he repeated.
“I told you already, God knows how many times. How many times I’ve hinted, God dammit Dicky, I just told you a few weeks ago. I told you to either admit you love her or stop giving her hope. Stop hurting her!” Louis scolded. “You told me you loved her for real. Why aren’t you two together yet? Why is she the only one getting hurt?”
“I…I didn’t want this to happen, it was suppose to be me…” cried Dicky, “but she…Jesse…had to be so stupid…she took the bullet. This wasn’t suppose to happen. We are suppose to be together now, but she said she won’t promise me anything until August. I really love her! She can’t die! You hear me! She can’t!” exclaimed Dicky, shaking him.
Louis cooled down a bit. He bent down and helped Dicky up. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry buddy. You’re probably hurting more than all of us here. I’m sorry,” Louis said.
“Louis she can’t die!” declared Dicky. “I’m not going to let her die! She has to come out of there okay!”
Louis nodded.
An hour passed then two, everyone sat there waiting impatiently. Almost three hours later, Ada and Frankie came out.
“How is she?” Dicky asked shaking Ada.
“Let go of here,” Frankie said. “Calm down.”
Dicky looked at Frankie, and let Ada go.
“She’s okay, for now,” replied Ada.
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN FOR NOW?” exclaimed Dicky.
Teresa went up to Dicky, “Dicky calm down let her explain.”
Ada looked at everyone and broke down crying. They helped her on the bench to sit down.
Dicky kneeled down in front of her, “Please tell me what’s going on with Jessica. Please. I’m begging you. Will she be okay?”
Ada looked at Dicky, she stopped crying. “Remember about two almost three months ago, when we first met at Truly Yours?” Ada asked.
Dicky nodded. “That night when I drove her home, she told me that she wanted to break up,” he announced.
“You know why?” Ada asked.
“Because we were going out for a month in secret and I wouldn’t tell her I loved her,” replied Dicky.
Ada shook her head, “I really doubt that, Jessica is a reasonable person, it was because she came to me, and we discovered that she had a brain tumor,” answered Ada. “She told me not to tell anyone. If I told you guys, she wouldn’t do the operation. I had no other choice, but to hide it from you guys. I told her at least fifty times, to tell you guys, but still she refused to.”
“Did she do the operation?” Louis asked.
Ada nodded. “When you guys left to Taiwan, we did the operation. Frankie was here with me during the operation. Something went wrong, and…and we almost lost her. She was at the edge of death. But we managed to bring her back. She was suppose to have her second operation on the 20th of this month. I told her to tell you guys, but she still refused. She’s been really weak since the operation, I told her to rest more, but she wouldn’t listen,” explained Ada, who broke out into tears again.
“How is she now?” Louis asked.
“You brought her here right on time, she did lose much blood. She’s okay for, but we still need to go through with the operation on as soon as possible. If not she’ll never recover and will die in precisely three months. The soonest we can do the operation is tomorrow,” announced Frankie.
Ada stood up, “I object! This operation is already dangerous! 50% Frankie! She either makes it through it, or dies right there in front of our eyes! Last time I almost lost her! If we do the operation tomorrow the chances of succeeding will be less!” exclaimed Ada.
“I already calculated success rate is 25%,” replied Frankie.
“I can’t do this!” exclaimed Ada. “I can’t do this anymore!”
“If we don’t go through with this Jessica will die in three months!” declared Frankie.
Ada covered her ears, and shook her head, “I DON’T WANT TO HEAR IT!”
Frankie held Ada by the shoulders, “SHE NEEDS YOU NOW MORE THAN EVER! YOU HEAR ME! DON’T BE SCARED! BE CONFIDENT!”
“25% Frankie!” Ada yelled. “25%, or else one of my closest friends would die right in front of me!”
“It’s better than living the three months, in pain. You know how many patients can’t handle the pain and commit suicide?” Frankie yelled. “You don’t want her to suffer, do you?”
Ada began crying harder.
All the girls were sobbing.
Dicky just stood there staring at Frankie and Ada argue. “She’s going to die?” he asked. “She can’t die! SHE CAN’T!” he yelled.
“If we do the operation she still has a chance,” replied Frankie.
Dicky held Ada’s shoulders tightly, “Save her please!” he begged.
“The patient has awoken, she wants to see her friends,” announced the nurse.
Frankie nodded. He and Ada led everyone into the room.
