Yunho and Jaejoong are walking back to the small house hand in hand while chatting happily about random things. They feel comfortable with each other’s warm hands. They have no idea or perhaps, Yunho has a little bit idea about what happen in Seoul now. It is totally chaotic.
At Yunho’s house
Flashback
“Where is Yunho??hasn’t he waken up yet??”, asked Yunho’s father when he couldn’t find Yunho in the dining room.
“H..he’s still having a shower”, stuttered Yunho’s mom nervously because she was also shocked when she couldn’t find Yunho in his bedroom. Last night, they were too exhausted to check on Yunho’s room after having dinner with their colleagues.
“Tell him to hurry so he won’t be late”, said Yunho’s father.
“Okay..I’ll tell him but you’d better have your breakfast now or you’ll be late to work”, responded Yunho’s mom. Actually, she wanted to make her husband left the house as soon as possible so she could start contacting Yunho’s friends one by one.
After her husband left for work, she went to Yunho’s room immediately. She checked on his room carefully to make sure whether Yunho went home or not last night.
“JUNG YUNHO!!! HOW DARE YOU NOT GO HOME LAST NIGHT, HUH???”, she said angrily after she found a neat blanket, bed or in other words, there was no sign that indicated Yunho went home last night.
She pressed Yoochun’s number. She felt so angry because this is the first time Yunho didn’t go home without telling her. She felt disappointed at his son because he promised to go home even he would go home late yesterday. She was waiting on the line now.
“Halo..”, answered Yoochun.
“Yoochun..this is auntie..Yunho’s mom”, said her.
“Owh auntie..what’s wrong??”, asked Yoochun.
“I need to talk to Yunho but I can’t reach his cell phone so I just wanna know whether he was with you last night or not”, replied Yunho’s mom.
“Owh…he wasn’t with me last night. Perhaps he was with Changmin”, said Yoochun innocently.
“Okay..thanks Yoochun-ah..”, said Yunho’s mom and then, she pressed Changmin’s number.
“Changmin-ah..it’s me Yunho’s mom..”, said Yunho’s mom when Changmin answered her call.
“Owh..Auntie..what’s wrong??”, ask Changmin.
“Did Yunho sleep at your house last night??”, ask Yunho’s mom.
“No, he didn’t. Maybe he slept at Yoochun’s house”, reply Changmin innocently.
“Okay..thanks changmin-ah…”, say Yunho’s mom and she hung up the phone after then.
Yunho’s mom sat down on Yunho’s bed while remembering what Yunho had said to her yesterday on the phone. She remembered that Yunho asked her whether it was hard for her had him on her stomach for nine months or not and then, he told him that he would go home late before hung up the phone.
“Yunho-ah..where are you??”, asked Yunho’s mom while keep calling Yunho’s cell phone.
End of Flashback
“Finally..we are here..”, say Yunho when they arrive at the small house.
“Are you tired Joongie??”, ask Yunho caringly.
“Nope..I’m so happy to take a walk with oppa..”, reply Jaejoong sweetly and it makes Yunho smile widely. Then, they enter the house.
“I’ll wash the vegetables and put them in the refrigerator after then. You can take a rest in the bedroom if you want”, say Yunho sweetly.
“Okay but I’ll change my clothes first”, say Jaejoong. Then, he walks to the bedroom. When he wants to put his beanie on the lamp table, he sees Yunho’s cell phone beside the lamp. He looks closer on it and he finds it inactive.
“Oppa…you purposely turned off your cell phone because of me. I’m sure your parents are worried now..”, say Jaejoong lowly with a guilt on his heart.
“Kim Jaejoong..don’t be selfish!! You have to let him go!!”, say Jaejoong inside his heart. Then, he walks to the kitchen after changing his clothes.
“Joongie..don’t you wanna take a rest??”, ask Yunho when he sees Jaejoong getting out of the bedroom.
“Nope..I wanna make lunch for oppa..”, reply Jaejoong.
“Joongie..you don’t have to do it..you’ll be tired..”, say Yunho caringly.
“Oppa..you don’t wanna eat my food, do you??”, pouts Jaejoong.
“Of course I want to eat your food again but I’m afraid you’ll be tired”, respond Yunho caringly.
“I won’t be tired so let me cook for oppa..okay..”, plead Jaejoong cutely with his adorable puppy eyes and once again, Yunho can’t resist those cuteness.
“Okay…but just make the simple one so you won’t get tired”, say Yunho caringly while patting Jaejoong’s head gently.
“Okay..”, reply Jaejoong while smiling widely.
“I’m gonna change my clothes now..”, say Yunho and then, he walks to the bedroom to change his clothes.
In the kitchen, Jaejoong is busy cooking lunch for Yunho. Actually, he wants to make a lunch box for Yunho.
“Aaahh!! We don’t have television in here…so boring!!!”, say Yunho while walking back and forth in the living room. Meanwhile, Jaejoong just giggles to see the cute and bored Yunho.
“Oppa..while waiting for lunch, here are the peeled apples for you..”, say Jaejoong.
“Woahhh..thanks Joongie..”, respond Yunho happily.
While Yunho is busy eating the apples, Jaejoong is going to the bedroom. He folds Yunho’s uniform and clothes neatly and put them in the shopping bag after then. He also puts Yunho’s cell phone inside. He lets out a sigh seeing the folded clothes in the shopping bag.
“Oppa..I’m sorry..I don’t mean to kick you out but I have to..”, say Jaejoong inside his broken heart. He starts crying even he tries hard to hold it.
“Joongie..come here and eat these apples with me..”, call Yunho from the living room. Yunho’s sound wakes Jaejoong from his sad thought.
“Okay..wait a minute oppa..”, reply Jaejoong with a fake cheerful tone. He wipes his tears and makes sure there is no stain of tears on his cheeks before going to the living room.
“Come here..”, say Yunho sweetly while taking Jaejoong to sit beside him.
“Here…”, say Yunho while feeding Jaejoong the apple. Jaejoong chews the apple slowly. Yunho’s happy expression when he feeds him rips his heart bit by bit because he has to let go that smile and happy expression even he doesn’t want to.
“Joongie..what is it?”, ask Yunho when he sees Jaejoong’s left hand is holding a shopping bag. Jaejoong takes a deep breath before he answers it.
“Oppa..”, call Jaejoong weakly.
“Oppa..you’d better go home now. I’m sure your parents and friends are looking for you worriedly now”, say Jaejoong while holding back his tears.
“Oppa..I’ll be okay in here and…”, say Jaejoong but he has to take another deep breath before saying another words because he has to force himself not to cry in front of Yunho.
“and..I got your number anyway so I can call you whenever and wherever..hehehe..”, continue Jaejoong with a fake laugh. Then, he looks away from Yunho when his tears can’t be held back anymore. Yunho is speechless. He doesn’t know what to say right now. Yunho’s vision is blurring now because of his tears. He knows that this will be happened sooner or later.
“Jaa…here is oppa’s clothes and cell phone. I’ll take the lunch box that I’ve prepared for Oppa so oppa doesn’t have to look for restaurant or store anymore when the lunch time comes”, say Jaejoong with a fake cheerful tone and he walks to the kitchen while wiping his tears. Meanwhile, Yunho is still sitting on the chair speechlessly.
Jaejoong puts the lunch box inside the shopping bag and put it on the table after then. He still can’t look at Yunho or he’ll cry and end up begging him to stay again.
“Joongie…”, call Yunho with a hoarse voice.
“Joongie..look at me”, say Yunho gently because Jaejoong is still looking away from him.
“Joongie..”, call Yunho once again. Then, he walks closer to Jaejoong because no response from him and lifts Jaejoong’s chin gently after then.
“You don’t want me to leave, do you??”, ask Yunho straightly. Jaejoong bites his lips and tries so hard to hold back his tears.
“Oppa..It’s the best way for us..”, say Jaejoong but once again, he has to take another deep breath before continue his talk.
“I don’t want to make your parents and friends worried. You also have to study oppa..”, add Jaejoong.
“How about you Joongie?you can’t handle this alone..”, say Yunho.
“You can visit me on Sunday If you want..”,say Jaejoong.
“But I can’t leave ..”, say Yunho but he get interrupted by Jaejoong.
“Oppa..I’ll be fine so don’t worry.. I promise to be strong for oppa and our baby..”, say Jaejoong with a teary eyes. Then, Yunho hugs him tightly.
“Joongie…if you wanted me to leave, I would leave but this isn’t the best way for us..I promise I’ll find the best way for us..”, say Yunho and Jaejoong’s tears finally flow down when Yunho said he would leave.
“Kim Jaejoong!!! this is what you want so stop crying!!!”, say Jaejoong’s heart.
“Promise me that you will call me if you need a help and I’ll come straight away. Promise me to take care of your health. Don’t skip your meal and don’t forget to eat fruit to give vitamin to your body and our baby”, add Yunho and Jaejoong nods his head while crying.
“Wait a minute..”, say Yunho and then, he goes to the bathroom. He takes a pail and put it right beside the bed. He also takes a flashlight from the cupboard and put it in the lamp table. He takes Jaejoong to the bedroom after then.
“Joongie..if you wanted to vomit the next morning, just throw it up in the pail so you don’t need to go to the toilet. You can clear it up later because the most important thing is you won’t be fainted in the bathroom. I’m afraid you’ll get cold in there or you’ll fall hard on the floor. Oh god.. I think I can’t leave you Joongie..”, say Yunho frustratedly.
“Oppa..I’ll do what you ask me to do so don’t worry..”, ensure Jaejoong.
“If the electricity goes out, just turn the flashlight and if you were still afraid, just call me. I’ll accompany you on the line until you fall asleep”, add Yunho caringly.
“Okay..”, say Jaejoong cheerfully so Yunho won’t worry anymore.
“Oppa..thanks for everything..”, say Jaejoong while hugging Yunho once again before he let him go.
“Joongie..promise me to take care yourself okay..I’ll be back so don’t worry..”, say Yunho and then, he prepares to leave.
They go to the door with uneasy feeling. Their hands are entwined to each other and they arrive at the door now.
“Joongie..I’ll leave now..”, say Yunho with a hard feeling and Jaejoong looses his hands even though he wants to hold them forever.
“Take care Oppa and drive carefully..”, say Jaejoong with a hard feeling also. Both of them are looking at each other and they are in the verge of crying now.
“Bye Joongie..”, say Yunho.
“Bye my baby..”, say Yunho while waving to Jaejoong’s stomach.
“I..Appa will be back..”, say Yunho and his tears are falling down bit by bit. Then, he looks at Jaejoong once again before leaving. Jaejoong waves his hands until Yunho’s car disappears from his sight.
He closes the door and cries hard after then. He lets out all of his tears. The same thing happens with Yunho. He is crying while driving his car. He doesn’t want to leave Jaejoong alone because he has promised to himself to share the pain and happiness together but he has to go home now. He will find a way and go back to Jaejoong after then.
At school
“I think something is going on with Yunho.his mother called me this morning and asked me whether Yunho was with me or not last night.”, say Yoochun to Changmin.
“Yeah..his mother also called me and I thought he was with you but the fact is he wasn’t with us last night. I called him but his cell phone is off”, say Changmin.
“This is the first time he stayed outside alone”, add Yoochun.
“Maybe he isn’t alone..”, guess Changmin.
“But with who??He doesn’t have a girlfriend at this moment and he isn’t type of someone who will stay all night long with his girlfriend.”, reply Yoochun.
“That’s the problem..he probably has a secret girlfriend”, say Changmin.
“Maybe..but I’ll smack his head if he dare to have a secret and doesn’t let us know”, say Yoochun. Then, Junsu enters the cafeteria and Yoochun sees it.
“Wait a minute!! I wanna buy a drink”, say Yoochun to Changmin and then, he stands in line behind Junsu to buy a drink.
“Yeah..little brat..you look so pale just like a vampire..”, mock Yoochun from behind. Junsu turns his face to Yoochun and gives him a death glare. Junsu can’t sleep because he still feels guilty of what happen with Jaejoong so his face looks so pale.
“Blood isn’t sold in here so you are just wasting your time standing in line like this..”,jokes Yoochun again.
“I’ll suck your neck then..”, say Junsu sarcastically while acting out a vampire who wants to suck his target’s neck to Yoochun. They become awkward after then because both of them can feel each other’s breath now.
“Aish!! What did I do??”, say Junsu inside his heart and then, he turns back his face and pretends like nothing happen.
“Aish!! What’s wrong with me?? I feel so nervous and excited at the same time when he did that!!”, wonders Yoochun inside his heart.
“Ehem…didn’t you sleep last night??”,ask Yoochun.
“None of your business!!!”, reply Junsu sarcastically and then, he goes to find a seat after getting his drink and leaving Yoochun alone.
“Aish!! Park Yoochun!! Why do you care of that little punk???”, complain Yoochun because Junsu is the only one who talks sarcastically to him.
“Yoochun..come here!!!”, shout Changmin.
“What’s wrong with you man???did he reject you??”, tease Changmin.
“Shit!! Shut the hell up!!”, reply Yoochun angrily.
“you need to show your sincerity and get rid of your Casanova aura first..”, say Changmin.
“Really??but how??”, ask Yoochun interestedly.
“Hahahahahaha..gotcha!! you are really interested in him, aren’t you??”, ask Changmin.
“bastard!!”, curse Yoochun and Changmin can’t stop laughing.
In the meantime,
At the parking lot of a convenience store beside the highway
Just in a few kilometers, Yunho will arrive in Seoul. He stops his driving for a while to have his lunch. He smiles when he sees a beautiful lunch that Jaejoong has prepared for him. Jaejoong made a simple food becomes beautiful by decorating it as beautiful as he could. Yunho begins to eat his lunch while smiling widely if he remembers Jaejoong. However, he feels a pang on his heart at the same time.
“I wonder what he is doing now”, say Yunho and then, he takes his cell phone from his pocket and calls Jaejoong.
He is waiting for Jaejoong to answer his phone nervously.
“Oppa..”, answer Jaejoong.
“Joongie..”, respond Yunho.
“Oppa..have you arrived??”, ask Jaejoong.
“Nope..I’m still on my way now..have you had your lunch??”, ask Yunho.
“Hmmm..I had ramen agaiiiiiiiiin..”, reply Jaejoong happily and Yunho just laughs at him.
“How about you oppa??have you had your lunch??”, ask Jaejoong.
“Right now, I’m eating my delicious lunch box..thanks Joongie for this beautiful and delicious lunch box..”, say Yunho and Jaejoong just giggles shyly on the other line.
“Oppa..What will you say to your parents and friends??”, ask Jaejoong worriedly.
“Don’t worry..I’ll take care of it..”, reply Yunho calmly.
“Oppa..don’t say to anyone about our baby,,okay..”, ask Jaejoong.
“Sure..so don’t worry okay..”, say Yunho. Actually, he doesn’t mind to tell his parents and friends but Jaejoong couldn’t go back to his home if anyone knew about his pregnancy.
“Joongie..”, call Yunho.
“Hmm??”, respond Jaejoong.
“mmmm…next time, I’ll call you with video call, can I?? I..mm..I wanna see your face..”, say Yunho shyly.
“Sure..I..wanna see Oppa too..”, reply Jaejoong shyly too and then, there is an awkward silence between them.
“Oppa..you’d better continue your lunch now..”, say Jaejoong.
“Okay..bye Joongie..take care..”, say Yunho.
“Take care of yourself too Oppa..”, say Jaejoong sweetly and then, they end their conversation.
Yunho continue eating his lunch with a big smile on his face. Then, he continues his driving after then.
An hour later, he arrives at his home
Yunho goes to his room as soon as he arrives. He doesn’t know that his mom is already waiting for him in his bedroom.
“Yunho-ah..where have you been??”,ask his mom with a stern voice after Yunho opens the door.
“Umma…you shock me!!”, respond Yunho.
“You are the one who shocked me by not going home last night..where have you been??”, ask Yunho’s mother once again.
“I..I went to our family cottage”, lie Yunho.
“What did you do in there??”, ask Yunho’s mom confusedly.
“I..just want to relax umma..”, lie Yunho again.
“Relax??? Are you depressed honey??”, ask Yunho’s mom worriedly.
“Hmmm..nope..I just want to relax..that’s it..”, lie Yunho.
“You should have told me so we can go together this weekend’, say Yunho’s mom.
“Umma..I’m already grown up so I need to go alone sometimes..”, say Yunho.
“Okay..okay..I understand but you should have told me about it. You turned off your cell phone instead”, say Yunho’s mom.
“I’m sorry umma..I thought I would go home last night but at the end, I decided to sleep in there”, lie Yunho.
“Yah!! I don’t understand with teenagers nowadays..they do whatever they want without thinking how worry their parents are”, complain Yunho’s mom.
“Sorry umma…”, apologize Yunho cutely.
“Yeah..I forgive you but your father doesn’t know about this so don’t tell him anything”, warn Yunho’s mom.
“Okay…”, say Yunho and he lets out a deep sigh because his lie is success but he apologize for what he does inside his heart to his mother.
“By the way, why did you suddenly ask about my pregnancy time yesterday??”, ask Yunho’s mom curiously.
“Oohhh..mmm..I saw a pregnant woman crossing the street and she looked so tired so that question suddenly came up in my mind”, lie Yunho and once again, his mom believes him.
“Yeah..later, when your wife is pregnant, you have to take care of her fully and sincerely because it is hard to have a baby inside you for nine months”, advice Yunho’s mom.
“Hmmm..I’ll take care of her with all my heart”, respond Yunho sweetly while imagining Jaejoong’s face.
“Umma..can I move out to the cottage temporarily??”, ask Yunho.
“What?? It’s too far from your school..”, reply Yunho’s mom.
“It’s okay..I’ll manage my time so I won’t be late to school”, say Yunho.
“Aish!! What are you thinking Jung Yunho???”, complain his mom but Yunho gives her his puppy eyes.
“I’ll talk to your father first about this but don’t hope too much!!!’, say Yunho’s mom before leaving Yunho’s room.
“God..I hope my parents will agree with my plan so I can take care of Joongie everyday”, pray Yunho inside his heart.
“I’ll cook for dinner now..”, say Yunho’s mom and then, she leaves Yunho’s room.
Then, Yunho opens his notebook and starts to search any information about pregnancy. He reads everything because he wants to take care of Jaejoong and his baby well. He keeps reading and reading until he falls asleep on his desk because he hasn’t got a rest after driving for four hours.
One hour pass and Yunho is still sleeping meanwhile dinner time is coming.
“Yunho-ah…let’s have a dinner..”, shout Yunho’s mom from downstairs.
“Yunho-ah…”, call Yunho’s mother again but still no response from Yunho. Therefore, she decides to go to his room.
“Aish!! This boy..why is he sleeping uncomfortably like this??”, say Yunho’s mom when she sees Yunho sleeps on his desk uncomfortably with his notebook in front of him.
“Is he still doing his homework??”, wonders Yunho’s mom because she wants to turn the notebook off if he has finished his homework. Then, she looks closer to the notebook and she is shocked when she reads the headline of the article “how to deal with morning sickness?”.
She reads all the articles in each tab and all of them related to pregnancy. She holds her chest as if she got a heart attack.
“Did he..Omo…??”, she says while still holding on to her chest and at that time, Yunho wakes up.
“Umma…”, call Yunho and then, he looks at the clock.
“Woahh..it’s time for dinner, isn’t it??”, ask Yunho but his mom just looks at him while holding on to her chest.
“Umma..are you okay??”,ask Yunho innocently.
“Yunho-ah..did you..??”, ask her.
“What’s wrong umma???”, ask Yunho confusedly.
“Yunho-ah..did you knock up your girlfriend?”, ask Yunho’s mom straightly and Yunho widens his eyes in shock.
