“Seung RI” she widened her eyes
“….. Eun Hee don’t leave me” he moaned
“What are you doing? You’re drunk” she asked kneeling down in front of him
“Eun Hee….. Please don’t leave, seeing you with him hurts me, Eun Hee I need you, I want you” he carried on moaning
“Seung RI…. Why are you drunk?” she asked trying to grab a hold of him
“Get off, you’re not Eun Hee, leave me alone” he screamed, slapping Eun Hee’s hand away
“Seung RI, stop doing this to yourself, come on let’s get you home, Ji Ae’s probably waiting for you” Eun Hee carried on grabbing him
“I don’t need Ji Ae, I don’t care, and I want Eun Hee” he screamed again
“YAH….. Seung RI, stop hurting yourself, stop getting drunk, I’ll get hurt, stop doing this to yourself, you’re basically stabbing me with pain, one by one into my heart” she screamed out everything
“Eun Hee….. I…. I…” he trailed off
“Seung RI where do you live” Eun Hee asked him
“I live here, this is my house” he carried on laying there
“Seung RI, get real….. Come on, let’s go home” she said and lifted him up, supporting his weight onto her body
“I don’t want to go home” he said trying to get away from her embrace
Eun Hee got no choice but to take him back to her own house, she couldn’t just leave him lying around in the streets, she carried him to catch a taxi, her phone started to ring, she chucked Seung RI at the back and answered her phone, and it was Ji yong calling her
“Hello” she answered
“Are you home?” he asked
“I’m going home now, Ji yong ah, eh…. I think I should tell you this……….” She trailed off
“Eun Hee” Seung RI mumbled in the background
“Who are you with?” Ji yong asked her
“Seung RI, he’s drunk, I can’t leave him lying around in the streets so I’m taking him back to my house” she revealed
“Oh, ok”
“Ji yong don’t get the wrong idea, I’m just helping him, I won’t do…………….” he cut her off
“It’s ok… I trust you don’t worry, I’m fine, just take care of yourself I’ll see you tomorrow” he told her and hanged up
Even though he says that Eun Hee knows he’s jealous, she knows he’s scared that she’ll leave him and go back to Seung RI, pulling into her driveway, she paid the taxi driver and carried Seung RI and walked over to the front door, she had no hands to open the door, so she pressed the doorbell, on the second ring Donghae came and answered
“Eun Hee…. What the……?” he widened his eyes
“Help me please…. He’s freaking heavy” Eun Hee said and chucked Seung RI over to Donghae
“Why is he here?” he asked coldly
“Oppa…. Don’t say it like that I saw him in the streets, I can’t just leave him there lying around being drunk” Eun Hee answered him
“So…. Just leave him in the streets, he caused you so much pain, why do you still feel sorry for him and take him in?” he asked her
“Oppa…. Even if we can’t be together doesn’t mean we can’t be friends, don’t be mean and take him up to my room” she commanded and walked up to her room
“Eish…. That’s the only problem with you, you always be nice to those who hurt you the most” Donghae rolled his eyes at her and chucked Seung RI onto her bed
“Thanks oppa…. I appreciate what you’ve done” Eun Hee grinned and sent her brother out the door,
“Eh Eun Hee…. After you’re done with him, come over to my room, you’re not sleeping in this room” Donghae commanded and headed over to his room
“Oppa, I won’t stay in here don’t worry” she smiled to assure him and walked back over to Seung RI lying on her bed
“Eun Hee” he mumbled
“stop calling out my name Seung RI, call out Ji Ae’s name, she’s the one you’re suppose to love, I already have someone who loves me more than I love him, so forget me Seung RI, forget about us, forget everything that happened between us” she told him even though he couldn’t really hear her speaking to him
She looked at him closely, her hands traced the features on his face, and tears started to cascade down her cheeks, the image when they were young and in love popped back into her mind, she still loves him, but she can’t love him, she needs to be with Ji yong, she can’t betray him, before walking out of the room she pulled her duvet over him and switched off the lights, as soon as she left the room she picked up her phone and was about to dial Ji yong’s number but he beat her to it
“Hello” she answered smiling with excitement to hear his voice
“Are you home now?” he asked
“Yeah…. I just carried Seung RI to my room, he’s so freaking heavy you know, so what you doing?” she asked him
“I’m laying on my bed, getting ready to sleep but I just couldn’t sleep, what you doing?” he sighed
“I’m staying in my brother’s room tonight, I miss my bed Ji yong, but I can’t sleep in there since stupid Seung RI’s sleeping in there” she whined to him
“Well come over here and sleep with me” he chuckled
“Yeah because I’m going take the taxi and come over to your house to sleep” she answered him sarcastically
“Why not….. Anyway it’s getting late, you should sleep, sweet dreams babe, I love you” he said
“You sleep tight make sure you dream about me hehe, I love you too” she kissed down the phone to him
“Night” he copied her and hanged up
Early in the morning Seung RI begun to wake up, he opened his eyes and looked around banging on his head to ease the pain, the room was unfamiliar to him, it wasn’t his room or Daesung’s room, he got up from the bed and stumbled his way outside in the corridor, he was still confused and lost until Donghae came out of his room
“So you’re awake” he said, but Seung RI didn’t really know who he was
“Who are you? And where am I?” he asked him still banging on his head
“I’m Donghae Eun Hee’s older brother, and this is our house, you were drunk last night, so Eun Hee nicely took you in otherwise you’ll be sleeping in the streets” he scoffed and walked towards the stairs
“Eun Hee” even by hearing her name, pain stabbed into his heart again
“Yeah so you should thank her….. I don’t even know why she took you in after what you’ve done to her, guess my sister’s nice, but please Seung RI, I beg you to stay away from my sister Ji yong cares about her a lot, stop interfering with their relationship, you have a girlfriend don’t you, so just go love her, stop coming back to my sister, leave her alone” he told him and walked away
“Oppa…. Hurry up, I have school” Eun Hee shouted out from downstairs, Seung RI made his way down the stairs and spotted Eun Hee looking so pretty in the hallway waiting for Donghae to arrive
“Eun Hee” he called out hesitantly
“Oh morning Seung RI, did you sleep well last night?” she asked
“Eh yeah….. Thanks for looking after me” he thanked her
“It’s ok…. don’t worry about it, it’s the least I could do, we’re friends aren’t we” she smiled innocently
“Ye……yeah” he forced himself to smile back
“Do you need a ride home? Since I’m going to school” she asked
“It’s ok….. I can take public transport” he refused and started walking towards the door
“Seung RI…. Are you sure you’re ok?” she asked
“NO… I’m fucking not ok..... How can I be when you’re dating someone else” he thought to himself
“Seung RI” she called out again
“Huh…. Yeah I’m fine, I gotta bounce, thanks for last night” he smiled weakly at her and walked out the door
[Eun Hee’s P.O.V:]
I looked at him as he walked out the door, he seems really down, it’s painful seeing him like this I know it’s hurting him that I’m acting like this, but this is the only thing I can do Seung RI, I love you but I can’t love you, there’s tons of people around me that needed me more than you needed me, I gave you the chance but you never took it, you just pushed me away,
“Oppa….. Don’t worry about it, I’ll take a taxi” I shouted out and ran out the door to catch up with Seung RI, as I walked out the door, he was walking down the path with his hands in his pocket looking down on the floor “Seung RI” I called out but he didn’t turn around so I ran over to him and pulled him back
“What do you want?” he asked coldly
“Seung RI stop acting like this please….. It seriously kills me inside seeing you hurt yourself through drinking, please can you stop acting this way” she pleaded him
“Eun Hee what do you want from me? Really what do you want from me? I’m sick and tired of this, I hate it how you can act so normal when you see me with Ji Ae, I know you Eun Hee, I know when you’re lying and when you’re real, stop making me feel more and more depressed” I looked at him with tears in his eyes, my heart started to ache
[End of P.O.V]
Eun Hee suddenly grabbed onto Seung RI and held him tight, he wrapped his arms around her tighter and tears cascaded from his eyes automatically, she didn’t know what got into her but seeing Seung RI like this really hurts her inside, she looked at her watch and she was running really late for her lesson, but she couldn’t leave Seung RI in this state,
“Seung RI….erm” she started but trailed off
“Sorry….. I shouldn’t waste your time, you can go” he released his grip and looked away from her
“Are you ok?” she concerned
“Yeah…. I’m fine just go back to your boyfriend, I’m fine” he sighed and started to walk off
“Seung RI, don’t act like this please….. We can be friends” she called after him
“That’s not what I want Eun Hee…. I want you to come back, can you do that? No… then leave me alone” he shouted back from his position and carried on walking away
Eun Hee watched him as he walked away, and sighed, she looked at the time and she was running extremely late, she ran to the road side and caught a taxi, as soon as she got inside the car, her phone started to vibrate, she got out the phone and checked the caller ID, it was Ji yong,
“He…..hello” she stuttered
“What’s wrong with you babe?” he asked
“N…nothing, just a little tired” she told him
“Oh… didn’t you sleep well last night”
“I had to sleep in my brother’s room, so of course I didn’t sleep well” she pouted
“Oh yeah Seung RI took up your room” he laughed down the phone
“You’re my boyfriend, you’re not meant to laugh at me, I have something to tell you, I’ll see you tonight, and my teddy bear is still at your house I need that back”
“Alright…. Hurry up….. You’re late bye for now, love you” he said
“Love you too” she gave him a peck and hanged up the phone, once the taxi arrived at the school’s gate, she gave the driver the money and walked out ready to go into school, but before she could walk into the building someone grabbed onto her arm giving her a big fright just like last night
“Hey….. Hey sexy” it was Ji yong
“Oh god….. You fucking scared me you idiot” she slapped him playfully
“Sorry I didn’t mean to scare you like this, but there’s no point in going since you’re already like half an hour late, what happened?” he asked her
“Oh…. I was…. Erm... with Seung RI” she stuttered
“Oh………” he trailed off
“Are you ok?” she asked
“Yeah… why wouldn’t I be?”
“You don’t look too good….. I smell jealousy” she smirked
“I’m not jealous…. Who said I was” he looked away
“Oh I forgot to tell you…. I hugged him as well” she teased him
“Oh I see how it is…… I hugged a random girl today, oh did I mention I kissed her too” he scoffed
“Ji yong, I’m serious, I did hug him” she stopped teasing and looked at him with a serious face
“………..” Ji yong didn’t say a word
“Babe…. Are you ok with that?” she asked him
“Yeah I’m fine, go on go to school, I’ll see you later” he smiled to hide his disappointment and walked away
Eun Hee sighed and ran over to him grabbing onto his hand, he was shocked with her sudden action but then he smiled and wrapped his arms around her shoulders while still holding onto her hand forgetting about everything she just told him, they walked down the pavement together and disappeared around the corner, meanwhile Daesung spotted everything, pain stabbed into his heart, he thought he could endure it but he couldn’t, seeing them together hurts him bit by bit, they’re just basically stabbing knives into his heart, killing him slowly inside, he could just shout everything out but he chose to hide it, he chose other people’s happiness before his, so what can he do to stop the pain?........ Nothing, nothing could be done, it’s too late
“If only I told her before she left that I love her… I really do love her” he thought to himself
Daesung sighed and walked down the road they just went down, he had to go help out again at the café since his mother is forcing him to, if he doesn’t help out he’ll get kicked out of the house and won’t get money allowance, so he had no choice but to help out, as soon as he reached the doors, he spotted both Ji yong and Eun Hee inside talking to his mother, before they spotted him he immediately walked around the back, it hurts him too much so he doesn’t want to face them even though he has to some day, but he rather see them later than right now not when he saw and heard everything earlier
“Dae……..” he quickly covered the girl’s mouth and dragged her into the kitchen
“Shhh….. Seul Gi be quiet, do me a favor, once that couple talking to my mother goes, come get me, I don’t want to see them” she nodded so he released his grip and hid himself behind the counter in the kitchen
Seul Gi walked out of the kitchen and started to clean the counter, she kept an eye on Eun Hee and Ji yong really carefully, Daesung’s mother looked over to her direction and sighed as Daesung wasn’t there, after 2 minutes of talking both Ji yong and Eun Hee left the café, before his mother comes to ask her about her son, she immediately ran into the kitchen
“Your mother’s coming Daesung, she looks angry” she blurted out
“Oh shit….. Tell her that I was helping out in the kitchen all along….. Do this for me and I’ll get you candy later” he commanded and rushed to the sink, putting on some gloves and started to wash up the dishes
“KANG DAESUNG” his mother screamed out from the door
“YES” he shouted out
“You’re late for work” she looked at him tapping on her non existing watch
“Umma…. You don’t have a watch, and I wasn’t late, I was in the kitchen all along, you can even ask Seul GI, she can witness me” he said
“Yeah he was…. I… I saw him” she stuttered
“Fine…. If you’re late next time, get out the house” she threatened and walked out the kitchen
Daesung and Seul Gi both sighed in relief, normally Seul Gi could never lie, every time she lies she’ll get caught but for some reason this time worked, Daesung gave Seul Gi a angelic smile and hurriedly out of the kitchen, leaving Seul Gi standing there blushing, she had been working here ever since she was 15 and has been crushing on Daesung since that time, but she had never told anyone about it
“Seul Gi ah….. Come here” Daesung appeared by the door again and gestured for her to come over
“W…..what” she stuttered as she walked over to him
“Did you hear anything earlier?” he asked
“Hear what”
“What my Umma and the couple said” he asked
“Eh no, how come you don’t want to see them then?” she asked back
“It’s nothing…. Now get back to work” he commanded and walked away
Meanwhile a young girl walked into the café, looking like she was searching for someone, Seul Gi looked at her and shrugged it off, the girl spotted Daesung standing by the coffee machine so she skipped her way over to him, having the biggest smile on her face
“Daesung OPPA~” the young girl sang
“Keemi…. What you doing here?”
