“What girl?” Wilson was still starring at the monitor.
“The girl we saw this afternoon! I can’t forget her face…she’s so pretty! Angelic beauty! ” Alex closed his eyes, picturing her face in his head.
“Oh I recall now…the girl whom I bumped onto.” Wilson did not have much impression on her. “You are interested in her? She seems to be quite plain and not comparable to any of your past girlfriends.”
“She’s definitely different and she gave me… a special feel which I’ve never had before with other girls.” Alex took out a pen from his pocket and became serious, “I found this pen on the ground after she hopped on the bus and it might be hers. I want to go back there to give it a try. I truly hope that I can see her again.”
“Well, you just picked it from the ground and it doesn’t necessary mean that she dropped it. Besides, are you sure she will be there again? Maybe today she was only passing by and what’s your chance of meeting her again?” Wilson finally turned around, “And most importantly, you’re now disturbing me from working. I thought you were only coming to borrow a tennis racket. Now you take the racket and go home please! It’s late at night already!”
“So you know it’s late at night then stop working! Today we had one whole day of meeting and aren’t you tired? Listen to me…”Alex had no intention to leave.
“You’re disturbing me from making money for you, my boss!” Wilson surrendered.
“I will go back there tomorrow.” Alex would not give up.

Alex really had the luck. The next day he returned to the same place about the same time as yesterday. He stood at the bus stop, pretending that he was waiting for the bus. Shortly after, he saw his dream-girl stepping out from one of the commercial buildings. Similar to yesterday, she was wearing a long light-blue skirt that fit perfectly to her young and pure appearance.
“Hurray! Thank God!” Even he cannot believe himself to have the luck to see her again with such minimal chance. Alex immidately approached her with excitement, “Do you remember me? My friend bumped onto you yesterday afternoon over here!”
The girl was astonished being approached by a stranger, even though she did remember him…actually deeper impression was towards his friend, the one with a pair of charismatic eyes and a deep masculine voice.
Alex handed the pen to her, “I picked this up from the ground yesterday after you left. You must have dropped it.”
“No it is not mine.” She wanted to walk away, thinking that this flirt was just using a cheap and common tactic to know a girl. However, through him, it might be her only chance to find out about the guy whom she had been thinking of throughout the night yesterday.
“Oh it must be garbage then,” Alex threw the pen off his shoulder, “I really have the luck that I can see you again. Don’t misunderstand…I am not a flirt. Look…”He took out his business card and said politely, “I have a proper job and I am single…presently with no girlfriend. I just want to make friend with you." He took deep breathe, "May I know your name?”
He did look very sincere. She was hesitating on giving him her name. Suddenly, a police officer tapped on Alex’s shoulder, “Sir, you can ask for her name later. But I would like to know your name right now because I need to ticket you for littering.” The police officer showed Alex the pen that he just threw on the ground.
“This…wasn’t garbage…it was my pen and I accidentally dropped it…haha…” He took the pen and reluctantly put it into his pocket.
The police officer slightly confronted him and walked away. The girl bursted out her laughs. Her impression on him improved a little, at least he was quite interesting. “My name is Wong Ka Ying!”
Alex cheered, “And my name is…”
“Alex Yiu, correct?” Ka Ying waved his business card. “Unless you’re giving me a fake card.”
“No no no. I am being very serious and sincere. Trust me…”Alex turned a little nervous.
“I’m just joking!” Ka Ying started walking down the street and Alex instantly followed her.

They had been wandering on the street for a while and Alex had done most of the talking. Alex was actually not a bad person to be friend with. He told Ka Ying a lot about himself, his school, his work, and his family. However, wandering in her head was still Alex’s friend. Sometimes she was not even paying much attention to what Alex was saying. She wanted to ask Alex about him, but feeling a little odd to bring it up.
“My dad and I don’t get along too well. He always compares me with Wilson…” Alex obviously did not notice that Ka Ying was thinking about another guy while he was talking.
“Who’s Wilson?” Ka Ying tried to give some responses. She was feeling a bit sorry for Alex.
“My best friend since secondary school!”Alex questioned, “I mentioned about him…maybe you just missed that part. He was with me yesterday too and he’s the one who bumped onto you.”
This answer woke Ka Ying up from her thoughts. “Wilson…He…is your best friend? You two are always together?”
“Of course, in fact tomorrow night I’m meeting him at the clubhouse.” Alex thought this was a good opportunity to date Ka Ying for the first time, “You’ve time tomorrow night? I want to invite you to the dinner also!”
Ka Ying was surprisingly happy to hear that, and she nodded her head immediately.
