“I need to talk to you.” He said seriously.
“What is it?” She still had her sweet smile shining on her face.
He took a deep breathe, “We need to chill down. I think…in the meantime….we shouldn’t see each other.”
“What are you talking about?” She chuckled and did not understand, “What chilling down? Oh yes…you are a hot guy…”
He interrupted with a strong tone, “I mean, it’s time for us to take this seriously. We can’t drag on like this. Our relationship needs to cool down.”
Her smiles froze, then she mumbled and turned away, “What was I trying to get? Oh right…some pepper…”
“We need to face this, Sabrina!” Andrew did not let her go.
She cannot avoid it anymore. She stared at him.
“It’s been two years, Sabrina.” He continued, “It’s enough fooling around for me. I can’t be like this with you forever.”
“Why are you saying this suddenly?” Sabrina did not believe it, “You must be joking…”
“I am serious.” His tone was firm.
She panicked, “Andrew, did something happen? Did I make you not happy? I’m sorry. I’m so sorry then.”
He shook his head, “No you haven’t done anything wrong, but…”
“I haven’t served you well enough? Are you not satisfied with me?” Her voice trembled, “I will change. I will change for you, as long as you like it.”
“It has nothing to do with that.” He insisted.
Sabrina would not listen, “I know I’ve been gaining some weight and you aren’t happy about it. I will go on diet from now on! I will keep myself slim. I will. I will.”
“Sabrina, what are you talking about?” Andrew was confused.
“I know you’re always concerned about people knowing about our relationship. I swear that I’ve been keeping my mouth shut on it! But if you still don’t feel safe, we don’t have to go out at all. I can just stay here, waiting for you. I can hide in this house! I don’t mind, as long as come over and see me. Just come whenever you want! I’m not asking for more, Andrew!” She turned agitated.
Andrew started to feel uncomfortable by her act, “Sabrina, I understand this is a sudden thing. But why are you getting so grumpy? You know since day one, we’ve already said…”
Sabrina totally ignored his response. Her emotion was getting unstable, “You don’t like me to call you all the times. I know. It’s fine. It’s fine. I won’t call you. I won’t bother you. I won’t cause any trouble. I promise. I promise. Just please don’t leave me! Please, Andrew!”
Andrew freaked out, “Sabrina, calm down first!”
Sabrina screamed, “This is not true! You must be joking! You…”
“Sabrina. We can’t talk if you’re like this. I’m going.” Andrew walked to the door, “Calm down and think about what I said. Give each other a break.”
“Oh no! Andrew, don’t go!” She ran over and held tight to his waist, “Please Andrew! Don’t go! Don’t leave me!”
“Stop it, Sabrina!” Andrew dragged her arms away and stepped out of the house.
“No Andrew! I beg you! Don’t leave me alone!” Sabrina would not let go.
Andrew forcefully pushed her away and slammed shut the door.
“Andrew!” Sabrina screamed dreadfully. She stumbled back into the house with a blanked mind. She cannot accept what was happening. No! this is not true! Sabrina’s sorrow turned into anger. She looked at the breakfast that had cooled down. She scrunched her face and swiped all the cups and dishes to the floor.

Wallace really went to dim sum with his parents-in-law and met the girl. She was a plain ordinary young girl, nothing really worthwhile to be commented on.
“Please have some tea.” Wallace politely served.
“Thanks.” The girl and her mother nodded.
Wallace sat still and stared in the air.
“Wallace is sure a quiet guy. What do you like to do at leisure time?” The girl’s mother smiled and asked.
“He’s a homely guy. He likes to watch Japanese dramas.” Mrs. Ku chuckled and tapped him, “Wallace, how about if you tell Carol about your DVD collections at home?”
Wallace scratched his head and showed an embarrass expression at the girl Carol. She looked bored too, but anyway she gave him a courtesy smile in return.
“Ahem.” Mrs. Ku bumped his arm.
“Yes mom.” Wallace mumbled. He wanted to comfort his parents-in-law, and maybe also to give himself a try. That afternoon, he went for a movie together with Carol.

Andrew and Kylie wandered in the shopping mall.
Kylie suddenly turned away and put her palm over her mouth.
“What’s wrong?” Andrew asked caringly.
“Nothing. Maybe the sandwich I had at lunch wasn’t that fresh. It makes me kind of sick.” Kylie eased up and smiled.
“Are you sure? How about if I call our family doctor to come over tonight to check on you?” Andrew was worried.
“I’m fine. Don’t worry.” Kylie pointed, “Look at these cups! They are one pair of piggy!”
“Let’s buy them.” Andrew chuckled, “They are cute. You are the pink one and I’m the blue one.”
“The blue one looks better.” Kylie giggled, “You can have the pink one!”
“Does pink look good on me?” Andrew laughed, “Fine! Tomorrow I’m going to wear that pink shirt which you hated the most…”
They joked and walked around different stores happily. While Kylie concentrated on one display window, Andrew felt something weird. He kept feeling someone was following behind them. He spun around, and finally spotted Sabrina, standing far away, staring at them. Andrew was surprised, but he thought it might just be a coincidence that she was also shopping here. Andrew decided not to take the first move to say ‘hi’, unless Sabrina came over, in which he did not want to happen.
“Andrew, I want to check out this cosmetics shop.” Kylie said as they passed by it.
“Sure. You go in and have a look. Hm, I need to make a phone call. I will wait for you here.” Andrew sent Kylie into the shop. As soon as she walked in, Andrew turned around and again saw Sabrina standing far away, watching them. He paused and finally called Sabrina’s cell phone.
“Sabrina.” He said dully.
“Hi Andrew.” Her voice was soft. She was about to walk forward.
“Stop.” He raised his arm. “It’s ok for us to talk over the phone.”
She dropped down her head and stood still.
“You’ve been hiding behind our backs.” Andrew was not happy.
“I ain’t following you. I just happen to be here.” Sabrina sounded calm.
“Don’t play that kind of tricks to me, Sabrina. I know you well enough.” Andrew said coldly.
“I…” She hesitated.
“What are you doing?” Andrew confronted.
“Why can’t I shop here also? I ain’t bothering you.” She bit her lips.
“Sabrina, do you remember what I said? Let’s give each other a break.” Andrew reminded.
She remained silence.
Andrew did not understand what Sabrina was thinking. He tried to comfort, “Go home first. I will call you later.”
“Andrew, I heard your wife said she’s going to Buddhist temple with your mom this Saturday, and will stay there overnight.” Sabrina sounded casual as if nothing had happened, “Good chance, huh? You can come over to my place. What do you want for dinner? Prawns…right…you like prawns. I will ask the maid to…”
“Sabrina!” Andrew was getting upset, “Do you understand what I’m saying at all? I am NOT going to see you for a while! I am NOT coming over!”
Sabrina went on, “Andrew, I know you must be mad at me for something. Come on, tell me which lingerie you want me to wear this Saturday night…”
“Disappear in front of me, now!” Andrew was frustrated.
Sabrina paused, then slowly hung up the phone. She looked at Andrew, and meekly walked away.
Andrew did not want to be so cruel to Sabrina, but it seemed like it was the only way to give her the message.
“Wow. The cosmetics are on sale…30% off!” Kylie smiled and came out with one big bag.
“Buy more then!” Andrew took a deep breathe and changed face. He smiled and picked up Kylie’s hand.
“Why buying so much? I can’t use them all.” She tapped his nose tip, “Unless I try them on your face…”
