“Mommy.”
“Yes honey.”
“I’m sleepy.” Anson complained.
“Mommy is tired too.” Kylie lifted up her head and looked at him, “But you’ve promised to do the song 5 times. There’re still 2 more times to go.”
“Hm…” He threw temper and flicked his legs.
“Come on. Two more times.” Kylie said firmly.
“I want daddy.” Anson whined.
“Daddy is working in Shanghai and won’t be back until Saturday.” Kylie shook her head, “He’s too far away to help you out.”
“I want grandpa and grandma.” Anson tried again.
“They’re in bed upstairs. You don’t go bother them.” Kylie turned him down.
“I want Uncle Wallace.” Anson whispered.
“Nice try. But Uncle Wallace understands practicing is for your good. He will stand on my side.” Kylie pointed, “Two more times to go. Finish quick and then nanny will take you to bed.”
“Mommy, I wanna sleep with you tonight.” Anson begged softly.
“Alright alright.” Kylie surrendered. She knew the bargaining tactics of her smart son, “Then finish practicing quick. Mommy will start a new bedtime story book tonight, huh?”
Anson was happy. He put his little fingers on the $500,000 9-feet grand piano and continued to practice the song ‘Itsy Bitsy Spider’.

Andrew finished his business trip in Shanghai and returned to Hong Kong. He took the evening flight. By the time he got home, settled down, and got ready for bed, it was already near midnight.
“I just went to have a peek at Anson. He sleeps like a piggy.” Andrew stretched himself as he walked into the bedroom after shower.
“He didn’t go to bed at first and wanted to wait for you.” Kylie held Andrew’s hand, “I told him it’s getting too late. He whined for a while until nanny finally put him to sleep.”
“Alright…will get him tomorrow for sure. I miss him a lot too.” Andrew sighed.
“He always wants daddy.” Kylie curled her lips.
“You’re jealous, huh?” Andrew tapped her nose tip.
Kylie hung her arms over his neck and gazed at Andrew. She had not seen him in a week.
Andrew carried Kylie up in his arms.
She giggled, “Now what?”
He brought her to the bed and fell together.
“Kylie, can you do me a favour?” Andrew asked.
“Yup.” She wondered.
“You…need to lose some weight.” Andrew puffed out.
Kylie scrunched her face and hit him, “Yeah I ain’t the tiny girl anymore. I have a fluffy round waist. It’s all because of bearing Anson for you!”
“I’m just joking!” Andrew smirked, “I love the way you are. It’s just perfect now.”
Kylie was satisfied with this answer.
“Now, I’ve a very important thing to do.” Andrew approached her face, “It’s our free time for some adult entertainment…”
“Aren’t you tired after the trip?” Kylie tittered and tried to escape.
“Kylie I really miss you…” Andrew stuck at her.
She giggled, “…what do you want?”
“You know it…” He smirked and began some naughty moves on her body.
“Hey hey hey what are your hands doing there…”
~Knock Knock~
“Oh no!” Andrew laughed and rolled up his eyes, “Guess who?”
Kylie struggled away from his hug and pinched his nose tip, “Your son!”
Andrew covered up his face and mumbled, “Tell him if he ever wants a bro or sis, he should give us a break…”
“You’re bad.” Kylie hit him and walked to the door.
Andrew rolled to the bed and closed his eyes.
Kylie opened the door, and no surprise seeing Anson standing there in his Winnie-the- pooh pyjamas and fluffy slippers with rabbit heads in the front. He was holding his teddy bear in his arm.
“Mommy.”
“Anson, what’s up so late at night? You should be in bed.” Kylie said softly, though she knew the answer.
Anson peeked and paced into his parents’ bedroom. He walked quietly to his father, who seemed to be in deep sleep. He leaned forward and whispered at his ear, “Daddy. Daddy.”
No response.
Anson hesitated and his little brain tried to figure out what to do next. He softly poked Andrew’s shoulder.
“Boom!” Suddenly Andrew jumped up and freaked the boy.
“Haha…haha…” Anson was excited and bounced, “Daddy’s faking…”
“Oh Anson my little sweetie…” The stress and fatigue from the work trip all disappeared instantly as soon as Andrew saw his son. He happily pulled Anson to his hug, “Have you been good?”
“Yup!” Anson cuddled his father’s face and sat on his lap.
Andrew’s heart melted and lifted the boy up in the air, “Take off your slippers first!”
Anson laughed. He raised his legs up and kicked one here and flunged one there.
“Anson Ho.” His mother pointed at the two flying slippers in the air.
“Let’s do the clean up later!” Andrew said.
“Let’s do the clean up later!” Anson repeated. What a bad model from the father.
Two spoiled brats.
Anson jumped on the gigantic bed. Andrew dragged him down. The boy put his feet at his father’s face and wiggled the toes.
“Whew! Stinky feet!” Andrew laughed and tickled the little foot.
Anson gurgled and flipped around on the bed. He was having fun.
“You two stop the combat.” Kylie sat on the bed and pulled up the quilt, “It’s bedtime!”
“I wanna sleep with daddy and mommy tonight.” Anson crawled and slid between his parents. He fixed the pillows and began to ‘settle himself down’.
“Anson you should be at your own bed. You are a big boy.” Kylie lectured but did not object.
Anson comfortly hugged his teddy bear and yawned.
“Wait…” Andrew peeked at the mother and son who were ready to go to sleep, “Anson…how about tomorrow night instead?”
“Why, daddy?” Anson asked.
“Because…because…” Andrew tried to send off his son, “…tonight daddy and mommy were gonna…hm…play a game…”
“What game?”
“Game…hm…game…” Andrew faltered on his lame excuse.
“…game…” Clever Kylie shifted her mind and quickly explained, “…game to see who goes to sleep first!”
“Wow!” Anson was excited on this super kiddish idea, “I wanna play I wanna play!”
Andrew puffed out to have ‘answered’ his son, while Kylie peeked and gave him a confronting eye. Andrew showed an innocent look in return.
“Aren’t we playing yet?” Anson looked at his parents.
“Ok ok.” Andrew smiled. Seeing the cute face of his son, he did not care even though his plan with Kylie was ruined. He pointed at his own cheek, “But you forget something.”
“Goodnight daddy.” Anson kissed, then turned to the other side for his mother’s face, “Goodnight mommy.”
“Goodnight Anson.” The couple said together.
“Ok let’s start the game now!” Anson raised his fingers and counted, “1…2…3…go!” He quickly lay still and shut his eyes tightly.
Andrew and Kylie smiled at each and lovingly looked at their boy. He is the sweetest in the world, isn’t he?
Kylie turned off the bedside lamps and quietly went to sleep. Andrew reached out his arm and hugged his two beloved ones to dream. He closed his eyes with a blissful smile on his face.
Being wrapped securely and warmly between his parents, tonight little Anson was the winner of the sleeping game.

Wallace sat across from his boss in the office.
“Think over it. I see you can do really well, Wallace. I’m retiring but don’t want to sell off my share of the business to another solicitor outside. Our other two partners Ben and Alfred will continue working here. You can join and also become a firm partner with them.” His boss, Mr. Young, said frankly.
Wallace fell in thoughts.
“Actually, there won’t be much big differences from now. You continue with your work and clients. It’s just that…you will have to work much harder to get new business to earn more money so you can pay for your share in office costs. I’m sure you can do it.” Mr. Young smiled.
“I will think about that.” Wallace nodded.
That night after work, Wallace and Sabrina went for a movie.
While they were lining up for tickets, Wallace bewildered.
Sabrina noticed that and pulled Wallace’s sleeve, “Let’s not watch this movie.”
“Huh?” Wallace wondered.
“Hungry yet?” Sabrina asked.
Wallace shook his head, “What do you want to do?”
