Kylie said, “Andrew, you remember Sue from the family camp? She’s a counsellor with Family Caring Society. I just talked to her this morning and described to her about Sabrina’s behaviour. She said Sabrina’s most likely having post-trauma depression now. She cannot handle the lost of her husband. If she doesn’t deal with the problems soon, her symptoms will get worst and worst…and finally…she will mentally collapse.”
“What can we do now?” Mr. Ku asked.
“Sabrina definitely needs some counselling. Sue said she can arrange her co-worker who’s specialized in trauma counselling to see Sabrina asap.” Kylie nodded.
“…only if she will listen.” Toby sighed, “How can we get her to go see a counsellor now? For sure she’ll resist. She’ll yell at us that we think she’s crazy or something! We can’t tie her up with a robe and force her to the counsellor!”
“Roff! Roff!” Puppy Coco barked from Sabrina’s bedroom and ran out. She wiggled tail and looked restless.
“What’s up with the puppy?” They wondered.
“Roff!” Coco barked again and circled around. It seemed that she was trying to get their attention.
“Coco?” Kylie softly patted the puppy’s head.
Coco turned around and ran back to Sabrina’s bedroom.
They realized something wrong and immediately followed.
Sabrina was curling on the floor at the corner of her bedroom!
“Gosh…what’s wrong with Sabrina?!” They approached.
Sabrina did not seem to hear them at all. She wrapped herself and shivered.
“What’s wrong?” Toby freaked out and tried to hug her.
Sabrina looked scared and shrunk back.
“Sabrina tell us what’s wrong with you? Oh no…” Mrs. Ku panicked. Kylie bent over and tried to hug Sabrina as well.
“…don’t come to me…go away…so scary….” Sabrina swung her hands in the air as if she was trying to get rid of something bad.
They had no clue to what she was saying. It made them even more worried.
Andrew can guess what had happened. He squeezed in the between the women. He sat on the floor beside Sabrina and comforted softly, “…a really bad nightmare huh?”
His words caught Sabrina’s attention. She lifted up her head and bewildered at him.
“…monster jump over and try to grab you?” Andrew smiled.
“…yeah…freaky…” Sabrina nodded.
“…silly…just a dream…” Andrew gently patted her head and embraced her.
She finally calmed down in Andrew’s hug.
After all these years, Andrew still understood Sabrina so well.
Toby helped to carry Sabrina back onto the bed and settled her down. She softly stroked Sabrina’s hair to put back to sleep.
“Her nightmares are coming back again.” Toby gazed at Sabrina with pity.
“Seems like it.” Andrew sighed.
Toby explained to the rest as they walked out of Sabrina’s bedroom, “Since Sabrina was little, she always had rough sleeps and nightmares. Probably because she always felt lost and insecure…I mean…I was an orphan too but…Sabrina’s case was just different. She absolutely didn’t have any parents…she never had.”
They felt bad.
“And now she has lost Wallace…her greatest support...what’s she going to do for the rest of her life?” Toby’s eyes turned red, “She’s about to fall at any time! I’m so scared! Sabrina’s my best friend!”
Kylie patted her shoulder and sighed.

Sabrina woke up in the middle of the night. She sat up and bewildered for a while. Toby was sleeping deeply beside her. Sabrina got off the bed and tip-toed out to the living room.
She pulled out a thick photo album from the cupboard and leaned on the sofa. She slightly shivered in the cold midnight, so she covered herself with a soft fleece blanket.
Wallace bought her this pink fleece blanket, so she can wrap herself while watching her favourite soap TV shows on the sofa. It was so soft and warm, as soft and warm as Wallace’s love to her.
Under the pale moonlight, Sabrina steadily flipped through the memories with her and Wallace, page after page, again and again.
Her eyelids became heavy. She slowly closed her eyes and fell asleep.
She intuitively shifted sideway and the blanket on her body slightly fell off. In very blurred consciousness, suddenly she felt the blanket being pulled up, so lightly and softly, back up to her shoulder.
Who’s that?
Sabrina abruptly opened her eyes and sat up. The living room was dark and quiet.
Who’s that? Who pulled up the blanket for her?
Sabrina bounced up and spun around. Was that Toby? No. She’s still in deep sleep in the bedroom. Sabrina could hear her calm snores.
“…who was it? Who was it?” Sabrina mumbled. She peeked at the blanket and stunned, “…Wallace? Was that you? Was that you Wallace?”
There was no response.
“I know it was you Wallace.” A roll of tears fell on Sabrina’s face, “It must be you. Must be.”
The living room was still deadly quiet.
Was that just a dream? No. Sabrina shook her head. The feeling was so strong and real.
“I really miss you Wallace. I want to see you. Come out Wallace! Please don’t hide from me! Please!” Sabrina cried and blindly spun here and there in the darkness, “No matter what happened to you. No matter how you’ve become! I still want to see you! I really miss you Wallace!”
Toby got waken up by the noise and ran out, “What’s wrong with you Sabrina? Don’t scare me!”
“Wallace…he’s back…I know…he’s back…but he won’t let me see him…why…” Sabrina’s cry turned weak as her body softened up and about to fall.
Toby was horrified and grabbed her up instantly.
Puppy Coco looked at Sabrina and whined.
***********************************
Sabrina and Toby got off the bus. Toby looked up the address and spun around for the place. She held tightly to Sabrina’s hand.
Sabrina emotionlessly followed like a puppet. Her eyes were out of focus and wandering in the air.
“…there…that’s the place.” Toby pointed at the directory outside a building.
Sabrina peeked and mumbled, “…where are we going?”
Toby was patient to repeat, though she just told Sabrina about an hour ago, “Remember? We’re going to see that girl named Betty. She’s just going to have a chat with you.” Toby tried to convince Sabrina to see the counsellor.
Sabrina looked clueless. She was so mindless lately, “I don’t know any Betty.”
“She’s…a friend of mine. She’s really nice.” Toby comforted, “Whatever is stuck in your mind…happy or sad…anything you want to share…you can talk to her. Don’t worry…it’s just some casual chats.”
“I ain’t chatting with that Betty…whoever that is. Don’t even know who she is.” Sabrina frowned and paused her steps.
“Be good, ok? I’m going with you too! It’s ok…” Toby said softly.
Sabrina resisted and whined.
“Come on Sabrina…” Toby held her.
People on the street turned around and looked at the two women dragging, of which one of them was pregnant.
Toby grabbed Sabrina with one hand and put away her maps and stuffs into her handbag with the other hand.
“…sorry…” A girl passed by and bumped Toby. Toby dropped her stuffs on the ground.
“…that’s fine.” Toby let go of Sabrina and bent down to pick up her belongings from the ground. She stood up and turned around.
She’s not there!
“Oh gosh! Sabrina where are you?!” Toby freaked out and spun around the busy streets.
There was no trace of her pregnant friend! She sneaked away when Toby was not paying attention!
“…Sabrina! Sabrina!” Toby called and looked around for her.
Where did Sabrina go?!
==============================
Sabrina bewildered at the gravestone of Louisa.
“….sorry Louisa. I shouldn’t yell at you last time. I shouldn’t be so mean to you. I’m very sorry.” Sabrina mumbled.
The cemetery was quiet in this gloomy day. The only sound was Sabrina’s whispers.
Sabrina’s tears rolled down, “…did you see Wallace? Is he with you now? How’s he doing? Can you tell him. I really miss him? Can you tell him to come back? I really want to see him! No matter what happened to him…I really want to see him again. Please Louisa. Please tell Wallace. I really miss him…”
Suddenly, Sabrina’s head spun with dizziness. She could not even stand still. She uttered in pain as her body collapsed. She abruptly dropped on the ground and passed out.
Blood seeped out between her legs.
================================
Andrew anxiously drove around, hoping to spot the missing Sabrina. He was pointlessly searching…searching at any places he could think of where Sabrina could possibly go. His nerves were all strangled for the well-being of the Sabrina. He prayed in his heart: she must be ok. She must be.
His cell phone rang.
“Andrew!” Toby screamed on the other side on the phone, “Just got a call from the police! Sabrina just got sent to the hospital!!!”
================================
Sabrina softly opened her eyes and moved her head with confusion: where is she now?
A few people immediately approached and surrounded her, “Sabrina how are you feeling?”
Sabrina did not say a word.
“This is hospital, Sabrina.”
Consciousness slowly came back to Sabrina’s head. She remembered…she was at the cemetery…she suddenly felt dizzy…and she fainted on the ground.
She instantly became alert and touched her belly, “…baby…how’s my baby?”
They looked at her.
