“Jay! The ball!” he heard his team called out for his name, he just realized that he had been standing in front of her for more that he could remember.
He turned his head from her and signaled his team for a time-out. He could sense most of them were frowning in confusion. They must have thought something was wrong, as this wasn’t the usual him. Usually, when he was playing, all of his focus and energy would be invested only for the game. He wouldn’t spare even one second to care for other things.
But at that time, he just have to find out her name first.
He turned around, expecting to see her still sitting at the exact same place, but what he found was an empty spot.
He spun his head frantically, foolishly searching for the sight of her- a person whose face he hadn’t even recognized.
“Where is she?” he asked the petite girl who sat next to her empty spot, “The girl with the sketch, she was sitting next to you just now!!!”
He kept staring at her, expecting an answer while she was shaking her head anxiously and recoiled, as though she was afraid of him. Geez, he wasn’t even scolding her, yet.
“Anyone knows who she is?” his eyes travelled to every single person but all he got was either a shook of head or a shrug.
And that was it.
“God, there isn’t any single soul in here who knows who she is?!!!” He really lost his patience.
“Jay, chill out, okay.” Edison tapped his shoulder and awakened me from his unreasonable rage. "Don't worry, maybe she'll be here again tomorrow."
Listening to Edison, he finally managed to compose his mind and decided to go back to the court.
“Jay, you never stop a game or raise your voice because of a girl before.” Staring at him, Xiao Zhu chuckled in disbelief.
That was when he realized, hey, this “piggy” was right.
He’d totally lost his common sense.
It was all because of her.
All because of her breathtaking sketches that got him so mesmerized...
All because of her aloof appearance that enticed him to uncover the face hiding behind that long hair, and the personality reserved behind that silence.
Who was she?
And that question remained unanswered....
As she had stopped sketching him ever since...

JO'S DIARY ENTRY:
Whenever I flip through my old sketchbook, the one where I used to sketch Jay on, I always got a funny feeling.
When I sketched him in the past, I would never thought that he was going to be the one who opened up my world of love. The truth was… I was never really into him.
Jay was a very likable and popular guy; those criteria were not the type that raised my interest. I was more into a guy who’s reserved and peculiar, the quiet and aloof type that could make me went crazy just to guess what was on his mind.
The one like my art teacher, Mr. Jin…
Mr. Jin was the one who had all the things that I looked for in a guy…, maturity, quietness, passion in art, intelligence, and that look of Takeshi Kaneshiro, oh boy… I was so crazily infatuated with him.
Who would have thought that my heart, which had been captured by Mr Jin's irresistible charm, would ever give in to Jay? Even I myself, still find it hard to believe.
But he made it…
Through his gentleness, his sincerity, and his kindness….
He managed to melt the ice within me…
Jay can be said as the most beautiful experience that ever happened to me…
No words can express how much I love him…
But love is like a bird, there was a saying...
If you don’t hold it tight enough, it will fly away from you,
But if you hold it too tight, it will crush.
I’ve been holding our love way too tight,…
And as a result, I have to reap this pain…realizing that…
He never really loved me as much as I love him…

About one year before, she remembered how she was walking down the university hall alone when she spotted a group of guys walking towards her, chatting and laughing loudly as though the whole hall belonged to them.
She was about to drop her head when suddenly she notice, him.
From the way he walked while dribbling the ball, she knew that he was the Mr. Popular, Jay Chou. She used to sketch him every single day until a stray ball destroyed her most perfect sketch once. That incident really traumatized her, and she stopped sketching him ever since.
Never thought that she would stumble upon him out of the court…
It was the first time she really paid attention to how he looked like. He wasn’t that tall for someone who could perform a perfect slam-dunk and his complexion was relatively fair for a guy who often played under the midday sun. His eyes were small yet sharp, his facial expression was somehow arrogant yet quite mellow. Honestly, she didn’t find him to be good-looking,… but she had to admit that he was quite attractive in his own way.
While she was observing him, his gaze suddenly met her and he sort of… smiled.
Unprepared, she looked away nervously and pretended that she was never looking at him. Gosh, did he recognize her?
She felt his upper arm bumped into hers gently as he walked past her. Instinctively, they turned their head toward each other. He had a chance to smirk and murmured “sorry” before he turned back around and walked off with his group of friends.
He didn’t recognize her, she realized.
She continued to walk down the hall, when suddenly, she felt someone tapped her shoulder from behind. She turned around and saw that it was Jay.
