Chapter 2

School

After walking halfway to school we separated to meet up with friends our daily routine since as far I can remember.
I stood outside waiting for my friend to come out, when I felt cold long fingers on my eyes “Ahhhhhhhhhh!” I flung my arms out & flailed them in the air for a good 5 seconds then opened my eyes to find sharp smoky ones staring back at me, they belonged to one of my very best friends Choi Seunghyun who had been since we were kindergartners.

I gritted my teeth as his lips curled in to a smile, I balled my fist and playfully hit his forehead “Aigoo this person giving me a scare so early in the damn morning..” I glanced behind him “Where’s Taek?”
Seunghyun sighed “Oh that guy?.. he’s not coming today” he said, I gave him a questioning look
“Really?..why?..” I stopped then quickly came to a conclusion “Did he have another fight?..”
Seunghyun rolled his eyes “Why ask? you know that’s why..I don’t understand that dude, does he really like kicking peoples asses for a living?.. I imagine it might be fun the first few times but constantly?.. sheesh.”
“Well we’ll just keep trying to convince him he can do better but we can’t stop him so all we can do is keep quiet about it and be his friends..” I said as Yeeun came running down the drive “HURRY UP! RUN!” she shouted as she tied her hair
“YAH! PARK YEEUN! YOU’RE DEAD WHEN YOU GET BACK!” Her elder sister stood barefoot hollering from the top of the drive waving what looked like a rag in her hand.

We ran until we reached the bus stop Seunghyun was bent over with his hands on his knees panting he looked up at Yeeun “Yah! what did you do this time?” Yeeun stopped fixing her hair and turned
“Nothing much really, she just hates it when I borrow her clothes..” she turned then continued to finger brush her fringe muttering under her breath “Siblings should share right?...”
I gasped for another breath “Is that all?! and I ran as well…” I glanced at my watch “Hey! you two lets go the gates gonna close in 15 minutes we can make it if we run”
“Shit, more running? no thanks..”
I grinned at Seunghyun sitting on the bus stop bench “Well enjoy your beating then, Yeeun let’s go”
Yeeun & I exchanged grins as Seunghyun caught up a minute later “My ass is just too damn sexy to be hit with a bat” he said with a mock sexy grin.
We laughed all the way to school.
We arrived in time and went to our first two morning classes,Yeeun & I to Math & Seunghyun to English.
“Seunghyun ah! we’ll catch you later at break” He nodded and left with classmates.

“Yah, Sunye look at loverboy over there” Yeeun nodded her head across our buzzing math class room, I looked across at Wooyoung Jang sitting at a crowded table chatting & laughing with friends.
As thoughts of yesterday crept up in my mind he caught my eye & turned visibly red, I briskly ushered Yeeun to our seats and faced the opposite direction of Wooyoung.

“Wooyoung-ah why’s your face so red huh?”
“Huh?..ohh nothing” I broke eye contact with Sunye who looked a little uneasy.
“Yah Jang Wooyoung, are you gonna stare at her all day? dude you better get over yesterday man I mean if I was rejected I wouldn’t even care.. seriously there’s plenty of fish in the sea right?”
“Shut up man.. I’m not crazy about her or anything, I asked her out she said no, it’s no big deal.. okay?”
Changmin sighed “So says the broken hearted man” I glared at him.
The teacher arrived shortly & I decided to put my energy into focussing on the lesson in order to keep my eyes & mind off her.
