Life Before You

For me, everything was perfect with the sun shinning and I was at peace. At school I was ok with everyone, I knew everyone being the fact that I was the school's Love Advisie! With my best friend at my side, Kim Jaejoong Kinka of the whole school but still my friend since we were squirts. also Vicky, Junsu, and Changmin and also Alex who was in Japan at the time. ^_^ But then something changed...
"DING DING DING!" The bell rang and then everyone swarm out of their classrooms for break.
"Hey Beccy!" Vicky called after Rebecca when she spotted me down the hall way.
"Huh?" I asked turning around. Looking for the person who was calling for me, "I hope it's not another of Joongie's fans asking me for his number."
"Finally found you." Vicky exclaimed breathlessly when she popped up in front of me.
"Is something wrong?" I asked relieved that it's only my best friend since we were kids.
"Oh, I was wondering if you are going to come to the basketball game with me this afternoon. It's going to be the biggest game againist our rivals." Vicky asked me after finally catching her breath.
"Can't, I got to go home. I have to go and meet someone of big importance." I said with a sigh thinking about having to meet another one of the guys that my aunt set me up with.
"You aunt set you up with another guy didn't she?" Vicky asked nodding her head understanding the situation that has happend for the uptenth time.
"You think? I seriously don't understand why my dad agreed to this. I mean, I get plenty of guys asking me but he feels like it'll best if someone older and more "experience" picks them out." I said in frustration and not I had a lot of sarcaism when I said more experience. I mean seriously, my aunt is like so old fashioned and thinks that if you are not as reach or close as we are, they aren't good enough. She really needs to get with the program here!
"I know! You told me at least five MILLION times already." Vicky reminded me.
"Yeah so I won't be able to go to the game today." I said with a sigh knowing that another afternoon of pure teenage life is ruined once again by another blind-date for a future husband. I'm way too young here! I mean seriusly, I'm only 15, shouldn't we need to worry about boyfriends first before husbands?
"Ok then, I'll just go and tell Jae that you have refused to go." Vicky said her thoughts out loud on purpose knowing that'll catch my attention.
"Wait." I said catching on, "Did you just say that Jaejoong asked you to ask me if I was going to the basketball game today?"
"Yeah. Why?" Vicky asked pretending to act dumm, "You've already said no so why should you care if he asked. Unless you like him." She teased even though she knows me way too well.
"No way, I don't like him! But he must be a big coward not to ask me directly." I said frustrated, "I mean why would he do that since I've been best friends with him for basically my whole inter life!?"
"I don't know. You have ask him. Well I got to go. Bye." Vicky said and escaped before I could question her further.
"Bye." I said and then thought, "Why did he ask Vicky? I mean why didn't he just ask me? I mean we're just friends, right?"

"Hey Jae!" Vicky called after him when she spotted him.
"Huh?" Jaejoong turned around and saw Vicky, "Oh hey Vicky! What's the hurry?" Jaejoong asked hoping that she might have asked Rebecca already about the basketball game.
"I need to talk to you about something." Vicky started to say, "In private." Hinting him about what she's about to tell him.
"Ok then, let"s talk over there." Jaejoong suggested and walked over there and Vicky followed, "Now what is it that you so very much want to talk to me about."
"You remember when you asked me to go and ask Beccy about the basketball game this afternoon?" Vicky started slowly picking the correct words because she's afraid she might hurt Jaejoong more than he's suppose to be.
"Yeah. Did she say yes?" Jaejoong asked with excitement jumping up and down.
"I'm sorry to say... No." Vicky said with a sigh knowing that he must be really hurt.
"Oh... did she say why?" Jaejoong asked hoping that she just got something else to do than go on a date.
"She said she has to go and meet another guy that her aunt set her up with. So I don't think she'll make it, depending on if the guy is interesting or not. I'm sorry. Are you ok?" Vicky explained slowly feeling so sorry since when she was explaining his face become so grave and wan.
"It's ok. I'm fine. Thanks Vicky, for telling me this." Jaejoong thanked trying his best to look ok but, on the inside, he was so shrickened because he might lose his chances of being with Rebecca now that she has another blind date and she just might like whoever the guy maybe.
"No problem, what are friends for right? I got to go back to my class. Chat with you later. Bye." Vicky said and walked away feeling really sad for Jaejoong since he has been liking Beccy for so long.
"Bye." Jaejoong muttered still shocked at the things that he just heard.
"KIM JAEJOONG!!!" He heard someone shout behind him. So he turned around to find Rebecca glaring right at him, "Uh, hi Beccy. How are you today?"
"Fine until I saw Vicky talking to you about what I've just said to her about a few minutes ago!" Rebecca said, "I actually thought that you wouldn't be such a coward but I guess not." I said angrily and walked away. I mean how could he! He's my best friend!!! Why couldn't he just talk to me?
"Wait! Rebecca!" Jaejoong shouted after me but I just kept walking. He thought, "Aww man! Why did I do this to myself. Now Rebecca won't even talk to me!"
