Definitely not good.
“I shall take it that you aren’t please with me at the moment.”
“Welll-” Junsu paused. “I wouldn’t say that it’s just with you.”
“Keita pissed you off too?” Yunho raised his eyebrows. Not to sullen his own reputation or anything but compared to him, Keita looked like an angel in anybody’s eyes. So it’s rare to have anything getting pissed off by Keita.
“I just found out that he’s a mole, working to revenge his comatose friend.” Junsu replied, still leaning back on the couch as though the both of them were only conversing about normal matters. “And then I got curious to which side you are really on.”
“I’m on nobody’s side.”
“Funny.” Junsu muttered. “From what I have gathered and oh yes, I did gather something even though it was quite a hassle for me. Mind to tell me why you didn’t tell me that you are Park Yoochun’s buddy when I recruit you?”
“Would you kill me if I tell you the reason why?”
“That depends.” Junsu shrugged.
“And if I don’t?”
“This gun is more flexible and agile than the one under your pillow. I know.” Junsu winked. “I checked.”
“I don’t have a choice then.”
“You don’t.”

1993, Gwangju Police Institute
“Your mother is serving her 30 years sentence in jail while your father is on the run with a 20 thousand US dollar bounty on his head. I’m sorry but I couldn’t admit you to our police institute.” The principal replied, saying the oblivious.
Yunho left without a word. He had expected this anyway. His background was just too dark and extraordinary for anyone to put any trust in him. His dream of becoming a police officer became tainted the very moment the press got hold of his family problems. Even if he had emerged first in every single police class that he was in during national service, it didn’t change the fact that he was the heir of the infamous Jung’s clan.
He was tired at times, so tired of being rejected again and again because of his family’s name. There was no one that could trust him enough to let him enter to any possible military force. No one. He was disappointed, disappointed in this obvious loophole in the justice system.
“You are sulking. Didn’t know I would live long enough to see that. Interesting.”
“Go away.” He uttered sourly. The cheery voice only irritated him further and right now, he wanted to be left alone to wallow himself in self-pity. “I need to think.”
“Think? Since when do you need to think?”
“I’m not as stupid as I look.” Yunho muttered before frowning when he realized something. “Why aren’t you attending the annual police competition?” He replied, glancing at his best friend, someone that he had met when he had entered the police academy.
“What’s the use of entering when you aren’t there?” The other man shrugged it off simply.
“There are other competitors.”
“They are not you.”
“Did you fall in love with me or something?” Yunho joked bitterly.
“Maybe, maybe I did. Why? Do you want to get married with me?”
Yunho sighed. “Sorry Chun but you have to wait centuries before I could start thinking about my love life.”

“My mother was arrested because she sold the country’s secret information overseas while my father was wanted for treason. He was never found though. He’s just too good to be caught. The last time I heard, he’s in a jungle in the southern Philiphines.” Yunho whispered quietly, remembering the dark times that he had to go through.
“I thought you hate cops.”
“Not at the time. Back then; I was inspired to become a good cop, to uphold justice. But then, I found out that my mother was raped in prison by the officers that swore to uphold pride and dignity of the uniform they wore just because she was married to a Jung. I changed my outlook, stripped my name and became Anito Reado. It was easy for me to change my whole identity, I should have that a long time ago but well, losing my name is always a hard thing to do.”
“Until Yoochun needed your help.”
“Yes.” Yunho agreed. “But even that itself didn’t bring enough of a reason to bring back Jung Yunho but then I found out that I had to.”
“The name would get easy access to my underground group.”
Yunho nodded. “It’s Yoochun’s request. I couldn’t refuse, not after what he had done for me. I would kill for him; anything that I have is his. It’s fucking melodramatic but one thing was for certain, that was the only time I’m glad I was a Jung.”

2003, Seoul
Yunho looked around the empty playground, panting heavily as his eyes darted around the dark surrounding. Only when he saw the figure sitting by the swing did he sighed in relief.
“Who’s sulking now?” Yunho replied, slapping the other man on his back.
“My brother’s hurt.” There was this helpless look on him when he looked up. “All because of me.”
Yunho heard about it. It was all over the news and when he was on his way to visit the hospital Yoohwan was warded in, Yoochun called him to meet somewhere else. And here he was. “Nobody expected it to happen. It’s not your fault.”
“He should be under protection. I shouldn’t have listened to him. I doomed him.” Park Yoochun replied, rubbing his hands over his tired face as his feet played with the sand underneath him. “Fuck, I let him ran around just to die.”
Silence. “You are stupid if you think you are the one at fault. Stop this guilt trip or I would kick you right on the ass.”
“He’s so young. So-”
“Clever.” Yunho completed. “He’s not stupid. Every choice that he made, he made it using his own brains. He must had his reason for going to that place tonight.”
“But only if-”
“You can’t stop what happened.”
“I know.” Yoochun replied quietly. “But I couldn’t help but wonder. There’s too many ifs and should have beens, I can’t think straight.”
There was comfort in knowing that he was there, that Yunho knew. His best friend always searched for him every single time he was in trouble, admitted that he was a solace to his troubled heart but he knew there was a greater reason to why he was called here. “Are you going after the one who did it to Yoohwan?” Yunho asked the inevitable.
“I wish I didn’t need to. I want to be by my brother’s side but I have to do this.” The man sitting on the swing watched as his best friend took the empty swing beside him. “Don’t you want to talk to me out of it?”
“Your mind’s made up. There’s no use trying to change it.” Yunho spoke. “But just so you know, Hazied is the biggest underground gang in US. You can’t just decide that you need to send its leader to jail just because he put your brother in a coma.”
“He’s the reason why my brother is in a coma. That’s a good enough reason for me to commit a murder.”
Yunho found himself sighing once again. “You are stubborn.”
“Only when someone close to me is hurt. I need a favour.”
“And that would be?”
“You have been going undercover for local cases for years. I need your skills for this case. I need as much information as I could get on the group, what its doing and stuffs like that.” Yoochun handed him a white file from the inner pocket of his jacket. “This is a special order that I had gotten from my supervisor to put you under my care.”
“I don’t need anyone permission to do a favour for a best friend.”
“But still-” Yoochun glanced at the other man. “A police officer always follows rules.”
“I’m not-”
“You are one, will always considered one in my eyes.”
Yunho nodded, hiding his tears when he turned away. He knew that, knew that the man beside him would never judge him by the way he was raised or the way he was named. “I might get killed.”
Yoochun smirked. “Well, you are always waiting for the chance to die in honour. Maybe you will this time.”
“Bastard.”
And they laughed, just like good old times.

Junsu chuckled when he fully understood the circumstances that surrounded him ever since that fateful night. “So it all had happened because of Park Yoohwan?”
“It’s not just any Yoohwan, Su. It’s Park Yoohwan, the younger brother of the Deputy Commissioner of US Army. You should have known better than to mess around with the likes of him.” Yunho shot back.
“I have my reasons to do what I did. I couldn’t change the past and even if I have the chance to, I’m not sure I want to.” Junsu could only smile bitterly. “And now you are going to tell me that you didn’t do all the stuffs that I told you to, right?”
“Yoochun-”
“-did that for you. I get it.” Junsu waved his hand before he gripped on the gun on his lap.
Yunho noticed the move but still wasn’t at all deterred by it. “You are going to shoot me now?”
“You are unarmed. Trust me enough to not pull the gun from under your pillow.” Junsu replied as he put his gun at the back pockets of his jeans. “And for that, you will always have my respect. You are a brother to me even if whoever it is that you claimed to be says differently. You are just Yunho to me.”
“Nobody understands me as well as you and Yoochun.” Yunho whispered softy, a shadow flickering on the walls as he looked away. “Thank you.”
“You are a good man.” Junsu replied as he stood up. “One question though, do you know Keita’s real identity right from the beginning?”
“Not at first. I doubt him because of the way he could calmly handle situations and stuffs like that when he claimed to being just a normal student gone wrong. I dig a little deeper and found it out.”
Junsu’s hands were on the doorknob now. “If you are not on Yoochun’s side, would you give me the information on Keita?”
“No, that’s backstabbing. Like I have always said, I’m on nobody’s side.”
“As I expected.” Junsu smiled before he opened the door and slammed it tightly behind him.
Yunho could only shake his head as he got ready for the flight he was going to be on back to his homeland. “What are you going to do now, Junsu-ah?” He muttered softly.
What are you going to do when it’s slowly falling apart?
*********************************************************************
I have made Yunho and Keita into the good guys since I just loved the idea that they were there because of Yoohwan, just made it a little bit more dramatic. There was quite a past here, I really loved to read about his past better than Keita, that I have to admit. ^.^
