But Kim Junsu just had to change it.
“FUCK!” He screamed as his right hand flew into a huge mirror in front of him, the mirror around his fit broke upon impact as it broke into tiny little shards. Drops of crimson red blood trickled down his wounded knuckles as he heaved.
Dammit it, even when he tried his hardest to hate Junsu, he couldn’t. Just like Yunho, Junsu became a chapter of his life that he just couldn’t hate. There was never any clue that Junsu was bad to start with, just the basic fact that he was the cause that forced Yoohwan into a coma.
So why? Why did it felt as though he had lost everything?
“You should learn to curb your anger; it wouldn’t be good for you to be angry all the time.” A cool voice replied as a figure emerged from the curtains of shadow.
The Japanese Commissioner walked towards the heart of the room, all the while watching the story unraveling in front of him. Keita barely gave a nod of acknowledgement as he stepped away from the broken mirror and its sharp shards. Wiping off the blood hastily with his shirt, Keita reached out for a cigarette in his pocket with trembling hands. “What do you want?”
“I take it that it had gone well.” Kazuya replied as he took the seat in front of the desk, lighting a cigar of his own.
“Or I wouldn’t be alive to stand right here.” Keita muttered.
“It’s been a while since we decided to do this thing together but I could never understand you.” Kazuya spoke, no hint of laughter in his voice as he watched the man standing by the window. “From my point of view, it’s not wise to let them meet especially when Park is wasted from alcohol.”
“It’s my decision to make. You just have to agree.”
“I would have to disagree if you block me from arresting one of the most wanted men on the FBI list.” Kazuya retorted.
“They need to talk.”
“But that’s not our business to care.”
“You are a human once, aren’t you? Just because that stupid incident happens and you become a machine that kept on working and working doesn’t make you less human.” Keita replied.
“It’s not your business to care about my private life.”
“True. And though you are the Commissioner for the Japanese police force, I’m the acting Director of the FBI.” Keita replied, turning around to face the other man, smoke rising from the nicotine cigarette. “I believe I have more power over this than you do.”
Kazuya inhaled another round of smoke. “Be careful, Mr. Director, or you might just get demoted because you want them to finish their love story.”
“They are being watched 24/7 by my team, there’s no way they could escape if Kim wants to.”
“Well, I wouldn’t want to argue with that now, would I?” Kazuya replied as he stood up slowly, smiling as he smacked the cigar right onto the oak table, burning a black hole on the dark coloured wood. “Love makes you do crazy things. I know that and so do you. But I hope that it doesn’t interfere with you being part of the force and fulfilling your duty to protect both of our countries.”
“I won’t.”
“That’s enough for me. And hell, good luck on whatever you are going to do after this.” And without hesitation, he brought his arms around Keita, hugging the other man tight before patting his back.
Keita’s eyes softened, just a little bit as the other man pulled away. “Good luck to you too.”
“If Junsu did as you predict, then I’m going to wash my hand off this case once and for all. But if he didn’t, I’ll be the one arresting him, no arguments.”
“Don’t worry, if he didn’t do as I predicted, I’ll capture him myself.”
“I’ll have your word on that.”
“You do.” Keita answered firmly.

It was daylight, he knew that the moment he opened up his eyes as he rose up slowly, ignoring the aching in his lower region. Untangling himself from the other’s limbs, he stood up, covering himself with the stained sheet as he walked with a limp, picking up his discarded clothes on the floor.
After getting dressed in the small and stinky bathroom, he looked at his own reflection. The bathroom was misty, not to mention dirty with moulds growing over the spaces between each of the tiles on the wall. His heart tightened as he crept out of the offended space, threading on the cold floor ever so quietly.
Careful not to make any unnecessary noise, he took one lingering glance at the person who had hurt him last night. Yoochun was sleeping, with pillows surrounding his body; his hair messy over last night’s event. And Junsu could only draw in a sharp breath before turning around, taking steps towards the old and worn door.
I fucking love you.
The words echoed through his head as his eyes began to blur. How easy had it been for the man to confess his undying love even when they both knew how many implications would come with that one sentence? The man that had confessed yesterday wasn’t Park Yoochun. The Yoochun that he knew would never do that. Because Yoochun shouldn’t, Junsu thought bitterly as he balled his hand into a fist, Yoochun shouldn’t have said those words.
They could never be together.
Not yesterday, not now, not ever.

2003, Kwangju, 19th
Junsu slammed his car door shut as he exited the vehicle. Loosening his necktie, he walked on the pavement to his luxurious mansion. The moment his feet had taken the first step into his home, his instinct told him that something was definitely different.
Scanning the large space, he ventured into the inner part of the mansion, his eyes darting around, focusing on any suspicious item that could be out of ordinary. His left hand touched his gun that was in his holster, an old habit of his whenever he sensed danger.
Creak! Creak!
The noises puzzled him all the more as he took the stairs to the second level of his household, still failing to note what’s wrong. He frowned when he realized that he was walking towards his older brother’s room. Kim Junho was scheduled to be back from Taiwan tomorrow, why would there be any noise in his room?
Certain that the noise was indeed coming from the room at the other end of the hallway, he pulled his gun out, pointing it slowly towards the door, getting ready to fire should it suddenly open without warning. When he reached wooden door, he pressed his ears against it, trying to gauge what was happening at the other side but failed.
Not the type to wait for his bodyguards especially when something was threatening his own house, his hand gripped onto the doorknob’s tight and pushed it open with so much force that it hit the wall with a loud thud. His eyes widened as it rove over to the two figures on the bed. “What the fuck?” He whispered as he saw his brother scrambling to put a cover over the man below him.
Shocked beyond believe, he took a step back, watching as his brother shouted at him to get out of the room. Backing away, he did as he slammed the door shut, covering what had been discovered quickly. He leaned heavily against the wall as he closed his eyes.
His mother wasn’t kidding him when she once said that his brother could be the very reason of his own downfall.
Fuck.

2003, Kwangju, 22nd
The thick silence was broken by a resounding click as Junsu adjusted his gun, turning it around with his hands to get a good balance of it. This was going to be hard, he thought silently, but he had to get rid of the both of them or it would only risk his own life.
The gun was in his right hand’s grip, ready for use as he stepped into the same room that he had stumbled upon a few days before. Opening the door, he watched as his brother stood up from the couch. Upon seeing the gun in Junsu’s hand, he instantly moved to protect the man beside him.
“What are you doing?” Junsu muttered, dangerously low.
“Protecting what’s mine.” Junho answered without flinching, keeping a steady eye contact with his younger brother.
“And what do you think I’m going to do?”
“You always did what you have to do.” Junho snorted. “Without any care about anything else.”
Ignoring the offensive statement, Junsu didn’t bother to answer as he strode towards the window, taking a glance at the front garden of the mansion. “We don’t have much time, let’s go.” He muttered as he latched his arms on his brother’s.
“What? You are going to kill us somewhere?” Junho stuttered, caught off-guard by the action.
The question made Junsu released his brothe’rs arms almost immediately. His face didn’t show any surprise as he watched the man behind his brother stood up slowly, trembling ever so slightly. “Do you even think, even for a second, that I’m going to kill you?” Junsu whispered.
“I-I…” Junho couldn’t answer as he looked at his younger brother desperately. “You can’t do this to me. Do anything but don’t harm him.” He replied, holding tight to the other man behind him.
“So that’s what between us? This mistrust shit?” Junsu took a long last look at his older brother. “Forget it. Just get ready; we are leaving in a few minutes. And by the way, if I had wanted to kill you and your lover…” Junsu pointed towards the other man beside Junho with his gun. “I would have done so the moment I stumbled on the both of you fucking each other. Right now, I’m trying to save your asses before I see my own brother being shot by his lover’s brother.”

2003, Seoul, 23rd
Junsu watched as his men moved around the abandoned warehouse, doing what had been ordered to be done. Nodding towards his counterparts, he retired to his make-shift office as he took a deep breath. Feeling calmer, he moved to put on his black shirt.
“Hey.”
Junsu didn’t bother to turn around when he heard the door closed, shutting the outside world completely. Sighing as he buttoned the last white oval-shaped button, he turned around to face his twin brother. “I’m not in the mood to listen to any bullshit.”
“The other day…”
“Listen here, Jun.” Junsu interrupted as he leaned against his table. “I don’t really care who you fucked with, guy or girl, it’s none of my business. But it becomes mine when the one that you are fucking with is Park Yoohwan and that you did the fucking thing under my roof, my turf. Now, those facts alone could really land me into jail this time because you want to know why?” He moved to stand in front of his older brother. “Because I can’t erase the fact that my brother had just fallen in love with the Deputy Commissioner’s brother with just a simple order. Because I can’t just tell my brother to stop loving someone just so I could protect my own skin. Because you are my brother and I love you so much not to shot you right in the head the moment I had known about your secret lover.”
“I planned to end it that day but-” Junho whispered.
“And I’m sure Yoohwan would love to leave you forever.” Junsu replied mockingly as he took a step back. “I’m giving you just one shot to disappear forever. Either you try your darn best to feign your death and his or you will see your only twin brother in jail for the next twenty six years or so.”
A pause. “Thanks.”
“Don’t thank me just yet. One shot, Junho, just one shot. Other than that; I couldn’t give you anything more.”

It was so fast. It was as though fate had installed something different than the way he had planned it to be. Junsu didn’t know that Yoohwan had plans of his own. He didn’t know that the younger man would go a different way, to the extent of risking his own life just to make sure that Junho wouldn’t have to live a hard life with him.
Yoohwan pushed himself over.
Junsu reached out, a quick reflex but not quick enough to catch hold even the hem of Yoohwan’s shirt. He could hear his brother’s choking gasp behind him as the both of them witnessed the other man falling over the railing.
It was over.
In a matter of seconds, the plan that he was thinking of in the past few days had crumbled right in front of him.
A shot.
Junsu didn’t know who had fired the first shot. He didn’t really care. All that he knew was to protect his brother from being seen from the police as he pushed Junho back. Let his face, and his face alone to be seen by the Special Forces. And just as quick as it began, it ended twice as fast.
By the time Yoohwan was brought to the hospital for emergency treatment; Junsu had put his older brother on a private jet to Europe. It was for the best. Even if Junho had lost a lover, Junsu couldn’t afford to lose the only twin brother that he had.
It was a tragic past, something that he would never tell or let anyone to share it. It was his burden and his alone. And now, everything was over.
He didn’t need to fight no more, he smiled as his eyes tightened on the steering wheel, it’s alright to let go now.
Because with every beginning, there’s always an ending.

Changmin didn’t utter a single word when the Director of the FBI announced the urgent news. Jaejoong was beside him, not moving a single bit as the crowd began to disperse after the meeting was adjourned. It was supposed to be good news, he thought. They didn’t need to risk their life anymore. His unit could go home and be with their family.
But that’s not it.
Changmin’s frown deepened when his gaze was met by Keita. This was the finale, the ending that they all had been waiting for. He knew that but he wasn’t satisfied at all because he knew that things weren’t meant to be that simple to start with.
Junsu wouldn’t easily surrender to the police without any rhyme or reason.
*********************************************************************
This chapter had two aims: to reveal what had truly happened and to show how Junsu had surrendered freely to the police. Like I said, the eight men (Yoosu, Jaeho, Keimin and Junhwan) are somehow connected and this chapter had shown more of this connection between each other them. Why this was chapter 16.2 instead 17 was because this was the continuation of chapter 16 but too long to be in one chapter. ^^
