--Sonnet is a poem with fourteen lines which rhyme with each other in a fixed pattern--
It was raining today.
The raindrops was hitting against the window pane. You leaned your forehead on the window glass, feeling the soothing cold surface. Your fingers were tapping against the glass softly, mimicking your latest song.
The song which topped the chart within two weeks after its debut.
How could it hurt so much? How long had it been? 3 years? Why couldn’t you get over him?
Your hand phone rang once again, signalling you that it’s time to come back to reality.
“Annyeong hasseyo?” You talked softly in the phone as you walked towards your radio, turning it off with a swift flick of finger.
“YAH YOOHWAN!” You cringed when you heard the familiar loud voice that brought you close to home. “How could you top the chart, knocking DBSK off the chart?” He shouted and then suddenly giggled.
“Harudal had been on chart for sixteen weeks, hyung. It’s time for me to take over. You are working on a new album right now, once it’s on the chart, I’m sure I will not be on the top anymore.” You explained softly, your hand playing with the glass chess pieces on the coffee table.
“Yea, you are right.” He replied and you rolled your eyes at how ironic it was.
“You call me just to say that? You know-” Sarcasm dripping off your voice.
“Junnie, stop that!” An almost-hushed whisper was heard on the other line of the phone.
“Yoochun-hyung, I would really love to talk to you and all since I’m actually have a FREE day but I don’t think you are. I don’t think I want to hear your moans while Junsu-hyung fucked you.” You smirked, knowing how this could affect your future conversations with him.
“YAH, doesn’t mean that you are a famous singer, you could be rude to me! PARK YOOHWAN-” He screamed into the phone.
But it was too late, as you pressed the red button, disconnecting the baritone’s voice. And as you sat down on your couch, you smiled, knowing how angry your hyung would be. Serve him right for disturbing you for nothing.
But then something made you thought about him.
Your eyes couldn’t move away from the counter-top table.
…
A loud moan stretched out from the younger man, his hands gripping the bed sheets tightly as the older man merely pounded on him, hands tight and ruthless on his trim waist. The slick rod went in and out of the smaller, producing smacking sounds that only added to the sex in the room’s atmosphere,
“Baby.. more, please..” the smaller man begged.
Smiling at the request, the older man bent down to suckle hungrily on the other’s sweaty neck, wanting to taste everything the other man has to offer him. His hands travelled upwards to caress his lover’s smooth sides; he smiled as the younger shivered under his touch,
“You want more?” Junho asked Yoohwan, his voice croaky and tight from all of the pleasure overriding his body.
The smaller man nodded his head feverishly, his hands caressing his lover’s back until they reached the soft locks of the other’s hair. Yoohwan gripped the locks tightly, wanting more skin contact from his lover, “Please… more… I want you so bad...”
“Tell me how bad you want me… tell me that you’re mine. That you belong to no one else’s...” Junho stopped his strong thrusts to tease the smaller man, almost chuckled when the other whined in objection. He threatened to break free from the younger man but Yoohwan merely wrapped his arms around his lover’s neck, pulling him back down with all of his might.
“Please, baby... I’m yours... only yours..” the younger begged, wanting to be released from this overwhelming pleasure, “I want you more than anything, baby.”
Gladly complying with the request, Junho’s lips travelled upwards from Yoohwan’s neck, kissing his way until he found the younger’s full lips. Junho licked at the pink lips, sliding his tongue in as the other opened his mouth, “Hold on to me, baby.”
With only little consciousness left in his body, Yoohwan reached around the hard muscles of his lover’s body, feeling the hard physique flex against his small hands. His legs reached up and wrapped themselves tight around his lover’s waist, allowing better entrance to his searing heat.
Slowly, Junho pulled out of Yoohwan, leaving only the tip of his erection inside of his lover only to push back in with such strong force that almost made his lover’s head hit the headboard. He pushed his hips backwards again, mercilessly pounding into the small body of his lover’s. His hands caressed Yoohwan’s sides lovingly until it found the base of the other’s shaft, nested under soft curls; his strong fist wrapped around his lover’s hard cock tight, pumping it callously.
“Jun—Haaaahn!” the younger moaned aloud against the other man’s mouth as the thrusts started to intensify. The hand on his shaft pumped pitilessly.
Junho closed his eyes to savor the taste of his lover, wanting to remember each and every detail of him; Yoohwan closed his eyes tightly, wanting this moment to last forever.
…
The polyphonic ringing of your cell phone startled you, snapping you out of your reverie. Your heart almost leapt as you heard the familiar beat of the tone.
Alarmed, you reached out to the vibrating phone and flipped it open.
“God, Yoohwan, at what time are you going to come here?!” The voice at the other line shouted, his voice full of impatience and fury.
“Eheh..” You laughed weakly as you realized that you were supposed to meet the company crew a few hours ago, “But, it’s raining, right?”
“So what the hell if it’s raining?!” The man on the other line yelled, “You get yourself here right now if you don’t want me causing any scandals, you hear.”
“Fine.”
“Remember that you are supposed to meet your new manager today so I suggest that you give him a good first impression.” The crew sighed on the phone, grief apparent on his voice.
“What?! A new one? What happened to Mr. Seo?”
“He died yesterday.”
“W-why? How?” Your voice stuttered. You weren’t personally close to your manager but the thought of him dead was completely bizarre to your psyche.
“What do you mean ‘why’?”
“How the hell did he die?!”
“I don’t know,” A short pause, “I think he forgot to breathe.”
…
The recording room was quiet but it was so soothing. You prefer silence than noise; you would be able to work better under an almost-silent environment. That was one of the reasons why you and your brother could never work together.
You prefer the youngest band of DBSK anytime over Park Yoochun.
“Yah Yoohwan, stop day dreaming! Your new manager is here!” Someone tapped hardly on your shoulder and you knew it was the head of the crew, Alex.
“Do you always have to beat me so hard?” You groaned, rubbing the spot that he hit earlier.
“I’m hyper today.” He grinned.
“You always are.” You grounded out as you turned around to meet your new manager. “Hi-i…” You stopped dead as you saw who it was.
The man who you were trying your best to avoid meeting at any rate appeared in front of you. You inwardly groaned as he smiled.
“I’m Kim Junho, your new manager. I would be in charge of your new album, ‘South Trade’ and its promotions. You are under my care for two months to be precise. Nice to meet you.” The other said spontaneously. Hastily, he held out a hand towards you.
“I’m Park Yoohwan, nice to meet you too.” You said in a confused voice, the thought of you two introducing each other again was weird. You forced a smile out as you reached for his hands, gripping it tight.
“Well, now you are both introduced, it’s time for me to leave. Goodbye and see you tomorrow.” Alex winked as he pat you hard once again and walked out the door.
He didn’t even ask whether you were going to be alright with the stranger you had met or not. Well, he wasn’t a stranger, not at all when he knew every curves of your body. But gosh, it had been four years since your last meeting.
And you were still not fucking ready yet.
“It’s been a while since we last met.” You commented, trying to break the uncomfortable silence.
“I like to keep my relationship with you professional, the past is over.” He replied coldly, not looking at you.
It was a slap in your face but you knew you deserved it.
“I’ll be taking a minute.” You replied as you exited the room.
Only when you were outside did you realized how much you missed the other man.
…
He was everything that you thought he would be, the way he moved, and the way he spoke. It was getting harder for you to be around him. Your music was suffering. And unfortunately, he realized that.
“You should try to concentrate more.” Junho commented.
“And what does it look like?” You muttered sarcastically.
“Nothing.” He heaved a sigh and you felt guilty.
“Listen, this is not helping us at all. Can I just switch management? I don’t think we could work together, there’s too much resentment between us.” You shrugged as you looked at him.
“You should start separating personal and professional business to be able to do better. And no, I’m your manager, permanent, no way around it. I’m sorry but you are going to keep seeing me.” He smiled as he sat down on one of the sofas.
“I can’t go on like this and I’m serious. It’s either I’m out or you.” You whispered, stressing out.
“I’m not backing out.” He replied firmly.
“Then I’m out.”
“Would you be able to pay the company four million wons?” He asked, smirking. “I don’t think so, we are stuck with each other, Yoohwan, deal with it.”
“You are evil.”
“No I’m not, I used to. But you changed that.”
Silence.
“I’m leaving.” Yoohwan replied quietly.
…
“What are you doing at my apartment at two in the afternoon?” Your brother shrieked as you entered the house without even muttering a small ‘hello’.
“Hi!” Junsu smiled as he saw you.
“How’s life with my idiotic brother?” You groaned when your brother smacked you in the head.
“You are still a brat.” Yoochun screamed which led to Junsu laughing his heart out. “What are you doing here anyway? It’s my free time with Junsu; you are not supposed to be here!”
“I liked to disrupt your sex life.” You smirked as you sat on one of the couch. “I need some place for me to bunk in for a while.” You leaned your head closing your eyes.
“What’s wrong? I thought you were supposed to be recording right now. Shouldn’t you suppose to be with Junho?” Junsu poked softly.
“Don’t talk about him in front of my face.” Yoochun replied quietly which earned a guilty sigh from Junsu.
“Why not? He’s my brother just like Yoohwan is your brother.” Junsu tried to retort.
You knew why, it was because of you. The rest of the people didn’t know the reason of the break-up was because of you not being able to accept Junho. They all thought Junho was the one at fault since he left without a word. You were surprised that he still didn’t correct the error.
“It’s not his fault, hyung.” You spoke as you opened your eyes.
“What? He left you!” Yoochun waved his arms around.
“So? Did I ever say that we broke up because he left me?” You were getting annoyed with the way your brother was acting.
“Then why?” Junsu suddenly was surprised.
“IT’S ME OKAY! I’m the one who didn’t want to announce our relationship. I’m just not strong enough okay. I’m not like Jae-hyung and Yunho-hyung who could brave anything people throw at them. I’m not as strong as you to be able to take any critics to a good joke. I can’t, okay. It’s not me when I heard people talking about my relationship with Junho behind my back. I can’t have that.” You sighed.
You still remember being scared every time you thought of someone knowing about your relationship with him. It was tough; having to keep it all in a huge secret when all Junho wanted to do was to tell the whole world. In a way, he was like Yunho-hyung.
But you couldn’t risk that. Jae-hyung knew that, realized that because just like you, he too was afraid of what others might thought about your relationship. So you kept it a secret till Junho couldn’t take it anymore and wanted you to be truthful.
You couldn’t, you couldn’t look straight into your mother’s eyes and told her about Junho. And on the same night, he packed up and left, without a word between you. You thought the silence was befitting for the moment anyway.
“Why did you keep it from us then?” Yoochun spoke softly but this time you could hear the disappointment in his eyes.
“You want me to say what? You want me to say that the only reason Junho had left was because I couldn’t be bold enough to stand up for our love? Should I be proud of that?” You shouted but this time, you didn’t feel the anger, just pure bitterness. “I paid the price, alright. I don’t need you telling me that after all these years, it’s still my fault. I know it’s mine and nobody else. That’s why I’m here.” You whispered, wiping the tears away from your eyes.
And with that, you stood up and walked towards the door. You could hear Junsu stopping your brother, stating that it was better to leave you alone of a moment. He was right; you need to be alone right now.
It always hurts to reminisce about the past.
…
Releasing an inward sigh, you threw your small body onto your couch, letting all of the stress and tension out of your lithe body. Tentatively, you buried the back of your head on the nook of the couch, feeling your muscles relax as each second passed. It has been such a tiring day, physically and emotionally. The little arguments and the constant pushes on your shoulder from the other man pained you so much. You had no other choice but to leave.
Lying there, the you recalled about how things came to be. You knew it was you fault but did you deserve that much punishment?
You was starting to feel even guiltier than before. If only you were strong enough to stand up for Junho, none of this emotional torture would’ve happened. But you was a coward, and you knew it. Hell, you weren’t afraid to admit it. At least not now.
Slowly, then you sat up from the couch, your fingers already working on the buttons on your shirt as he headed towards the shower room. You kicked of your shoes to the side and stepped in the tiled floor. It was not long after hot water was being sprayed on your face, trailing down your slender body.
With your eyes closed, you grabbed your lavender-scented soap and rubbed it on your chest. The warmth of the shower was very soothing. This was just what you needed. You rubbed again, this time, going lower and lower until it reached the curls just above your lower abdomen, “Junho..”
The soap fell from your small hand, but melted remnants still remained. Without thinking twice, you grabbed at the tip of your shaft, rubbing your hand in circular motions. It felt so familiar, it was long ago when another hand was caressing and licking at your shaft. The slickness of the soap allowed you to easily caress your hardening member unto the base. The sensation was taking over you but you didn’t care all that much anymore.
…
You found him in a bar the next night, looking coolly at the dance floor. You smirked, knowing that he would never have the guts to dance on the dance floor. With a smile, you walked towards him and pull him up.
He looked at you with a questioning gaze and you just led him towards the dance floor. When he knew of your intention, he wanted to pull back but the both of you had already reached the dance floor.
You placed his arms around your waist and you placed your hands around his neck. And with a grin, you started to move, forcing him to move along with you. You never broke the gaze that the both of you had locked on.
“You are hot tonight.” You muttered as the both of you grinded sinfully against him, trying to relish the tension that was growing on you.
And without any warning, he pushed you away and you stumbled back a few steps. He gave you a glare which left your heart breaking.
Without any words, he left but this time you wouldn’t let it go. This had to be sorted out sooner or later, no arguments.
…
You followed him out of the bar, into a dark and quiet alley. And when you knew that the both of you couldn’t be disturbed, you took one of his arms to stop him from walking.
He was surprised at the sudden pull that he banged into you. The both of you dropped on to the floor, you groaning at the impact.
“Dammit, Yoohwan, what the hell are you trying to do? See, you hurt yourself!” He muttered as he pulled you up.
“I figure it’s time to talk. No running away. No disruption from my brother or yours.” You looked at him stubbornly, you refusing to budge.
“Ok. What do you want to talk then?” He replied in annoyance. “There’s nothing to talk about.”
“There is, about us.” You whispered, trying to look deep into his eyes but he was avoiding your gaze, you knew it, it was expected from him, this avoidance.
“I get it! You didn’t want to say to the people that mattered to you that I’m your lover. I am too disgraceful for you to at least tell your parents that! I get it now! Are you happy?” He shouted and you cringed back.
“No, I don’t, I thought you were smarter than this but I guessed wrong.” Your heart shattered as you turned around. But he wouldn’t have it as he pulled you back to face him once again.
“You started this conversation, don’t you dare walk away from me, Park Yoohwan.” He grounded out and you could see his frustration.
“I didn’t mean to hurt anyone, especially you. I tried so hard to make things better. It didn’t use to be so easy, having this relationship. I was scared that if people found out about you, they would insult you, called you names that I could never imagine. I can’t hear that, I can’t hear the hurtful insults, saying something about you that weren’t true. I didn’t want them to taint your image or your pride. It was enough that I got you into trouble by falling in love with me.” You whispered as you pushed his hands from your arms slowly. “I can’t do this anymore. Everyday we are rubbing raw against each other, I’m tired.” You took a step backwards and you knew he wanted to take a step forward but he didn’t and you liked his attitude of not pushing. “I would ask my manager to break the contract that you have with me, I wouldn’t sue you or anything.”
And with then, you turned around, the wind blowing gently. And funnily, you found it fitting, the atmosphere that is.
…
Have you ever told anyone how the truth really hurts? That you couldn’t do anything except to be washed away by the currents of life? It was funny how you have to deal with all this crap when you don’t have to.
Maybe it was your fault for letting him go. He wasn’t ready to be separated from you, ready to fight but you just let it go without even trying. It hurt, the first cut always hurts but it was nothing compared you what you had gone through without him by your side.
“Hey.”
You looked up from the can of beer on your hand to the face of your brother. You made space for him to sit on the bench as the both of you looked at the sea.
“I wasn’t so sure whether to hit Junho in the face or to hit you instead.” He muttered as he took the can from your hands and drank the content. You sighed as you took another new can from the plastics bag beside you and opened it.
“You don’t need to, hyung. I’m big enough to make my own decisions. You don’t have to protect me anymore.” You winked as you pinched his cheeks which resulted in him groaning in pain as he rubbed the redden spot.
“I know but you are still my little brother who desperately needs my protection.” He replied and you wanted to retort but thought better when you saw the twinkle in his eyes. You knew he was trying to ease the situation.
“Where is your lover that you desperately can’t life without?” You asked sarcastically as you took another sip from the can.
“I would take that as a compliment.” He winked. “Junsu said that his brother must have been hurt pretty bad to leave just like that. He’s gone to see Junho. I don’t know who is at fault. Is it you or him?” He asked and it left you hanging for answer.
“You could blame the society if you want. It’s their fault for not being able to accept us for who we are.” You shrugged your shoulders.
“I’m trying to be serious.”
“I am serious.”
“No, you are not.”
“So?”
“Nothing.” He sighed as you frowned once again. Since when did you brother have to sigh so much in a day. “I felt guilty for lashing out at him when it wasn’t his fault. Yea, you are right, it’s the society’s fault for tearing the both of you apart.”
“That’s bullshit, hyung. It’s my fault for letting him go. It was always my fault. I just don’t deal well with pressure.” You opened another new can and handed it to your brother.
“Junsu won’t be happy if I come home drunk.” He commented as he took the can.
“Blame it on me.” You winked and he chuckled. “Why are you here anyway? Don’t tell me you wanted to give me some advice because you know I won’t ever listen to it.”
“True.” He replied. “I just want to be by your side. Is that wrong?”
Silence as you thought about it for a while.
“No, it isn’t hyung. Thanks.”
“You are welcome, Yoohwan.” He winked as he looked back towards the sea.
And the Park brothers sat through the night, talking about their childhood, reminiscing about the past.
…
Junho watched as Yoohwan looked at the sea, not noticing his surroundings as Yoochun motioned for him to come over. He smiled, mouthing a silent thanks to his lover’s brother who had helped him so much.
It was just an hour ago when Yoochun had called him so suddenly and wanted his apology which Junho immediately gave. Junho didn’t want to make enemies with anyone especially Yoochun. His brother, Junsu and Yoochun were the ones forcing him to say his feelings to Yoohwan, this was his last shot.
And looking at the heartbreaking scene lay out in front of him and he couldn’t agree better. Junho never thought of a moment when he had never loved Yoohwhan.
"Hey..." Junho whispered and a comfortable silence surrounded them for a while before the other man choose to speak.
“Junho, do you still remember what I told you in this ground a few months ago?” Yoohwan asked the other ineptly, breaking the tense atmosphere as he swung his legs on the bench. He turned his head to look at him, curiosity evident in his beautiful eyes. The younger blinked as he waited for his answer, pursing his lips in a quiet manner.
“Yes,” Junho breathed the word, almost inaudible to his ears. He turned his head back to the empty playground, eyeing the area with his eyes; it seemed to be a very interesting thing to look at in this tense situation, “every word of it…”
Yoohwan bowed his head down, his hands clasped tightly on the wooden expanse of the seat, his face unreadable, “I... I lied.”
A faint smile crept up Junho’s pale face as he heard those words. He fought the stinging sensation sneaking its way up his eyes. Closing his eyes, he breathed in heavily.
I know.
I love you too.
