Upon hearing her ringing tone sound, 鬼鬼 quickly took her phone out of her bag.
Once she saw who the caller was, a smile appeared on her face.
鬼鬼(GG): hi 小熏! what’s up?
小熏(XX): 鬼鬼! where are you? i called your home but no one answered…
鬼鬼(GG): umm… i…
小熏(XX): wait a minute! why do i hear people talking in Cantonese behind?
鬼鬼 let out a gasp and immediately moved to someplace quiet.
鬼鬼(GG): 小熏, i-
Before she could finish her sentence, a scream sounded from the other end of the line.
小熏(XX): don’t tell me you’re in Hong Kong too!
鬼鬼(GG): 小熏! shhh! i don’t want anyone to know!
小熏(XX): oh my god! you are in Hong Kong!!
鬼鬼(GG): 小熏!!
小熏(XX): 鬼鬼! are you here for the concert?!
鬼鬼(GG): 小熏...
小熏(XX): don’t you dare lie!
鬼鬼 fell silent.
Since she couldn’t lie, she decided to keep quiet and not answer 小熏 at all.
But of course, 小熏 wasn’t going to give up that easily…
小熏(XX): 鬼... does he know?
鬼鬼(GG): no, he doesn’t! please don’t tell him!
小熏(XX): why not?
鬼鬼(GG): 小熏...
小熏(XX): 鬼鬼... why didn’t you tell us you were coming to Hong Kong too?
鬼鬼(GG): i don’t know… i just-
小熏(XX): why didn’t you tell him?
鬼鬼(GG): 小熏... it’s not that you don’t know i broke up with him almost a month ago… we haven’t been in contact since…
小熏(XX): but you still love him! you being here already proves that you do… don’t try to hide it from me.
鬼鬼(GG): i… i’m here to support you, not him!
小熏(XX): 鬼鬼... he loves you.
Yet again, 鬼鬼 fell silent.
No way was she going to say anything until 小熏 started on another topic…
小熏(XX): okay fine. at least answer this question… are you coming for the concert?
鬼鬼(GG): yeah…
小熏(XX): that’s awesome!
鬼鬼(GG): 小熏, please don’t tell him that i’m here… i don’t want him to lose his concentration.
小熏(XX): fine, i won’t… hey, why don’t you come down to our hotel and meet us for supper? the seven of us are planning to go for supper after our rehearsals today! come and join us!
鬼鬼(GG): no, i-
小熏(XX): do you know how much we miss you! can you please let all of us meet you?
鬼鬼(GG): will the guys be there?
小熏(XX): of course not! we stay in different hotels…
鬼鬼(GG): really?
小熏(XX): mmhmm! we’ll be back at the hotel around 10pm, how about meeting us then?
鬼鬼(GG): okay…
小熏(XX): is that a yes?
鬼鬼(GG): yupp…
小熏(XX): fabulous! i’ll send you a message with the hotel address later!
鬼鬼(GG): mmm…
小熏(XX): alright, i have to get ready for our rehearsals. don’t forget to meet us at 10pm okay! give me a call when you reach.
鬼鬼(GG): okay…
小熏(XX): 鬼鬼, be careful alright!
鬼鬼(GG): i will…
小熏(XX): *nods* see you later!
With that, 小熏 ended the phone call.
鬼鬼 let out a breath and looked at her watch.
Six more hours before she would reunite with her ex group members…

we’re all here waiting for you!
鬼鬼 reread the message that 小熏 sent to her and then looked at the room door in front of her.
Right now, her heart was beating way fast because in less than a minute, she was going to meet a bunch of good friends that she hasn’t seen for the longest time.
After taking in a deep breath, 鬼鬼 put a smile on her face and pressed the doorbell.
When the door opened, her smile froze on her face.
Her brain completely stopped functioning…
She didn’t know what to do!
However, she wasn’t the only one who was at a loss…
王子 thought his eyes were playing tricks on him!
He could only blink and hope that the girl in front of him wasn’t a dream.
王子(WZ): 鬼鬼...
Upon hearing his voice, 鬼鬼 snapped out of her shock and shook her head.
鬼鬼(GG): sorry… i… i got the wrong room!
Upon finishing her sentence, 鬼鬼 immediately turned around and ran towards the lift.
However, before she could even press the lift button, 王子 caught her by the hand and pulled her into his arms.
王子(WZ): where do you think you’re going?!
鬼鬼 anxiously struggled to break free from him and even started hitting 王子 on the chest.
鬼鬼(GG): let me go! 邱, 胜, 翊, let, me, g-
Her last word was replaced with a scream.
王子 had lifted her up from the floor!
王子(WZ): shut up or i’ll kiss you.
鬼鬼 instantly fell silent and stopped struggling.
With a satisfied smile on his face, 王子 carried her back into his room and closed the door.
Then, he carefully let 鬼鬼 down on the floor and took hold of her hand.
鬼鬼 could only allow him to lead her into the room.
王子(WZ): 敖犬, can you give me some time alone?
敖犬(AQ): why should i-
敖犬 looked up from his computer screen and let out a gasp.
敖犬(AQ): 鬼鬼?! what are you doing here?!
鬼鬼(GG): *smiles awkwardly* hi 敖犬...
敖犬 jumped out of the chair and walked towards them.
敖犬(AQ): 王子, why didn’t you tell me-
王子(WZ): i didn’t know either.
敖犬(AQ): you mean…
鬼鬼(GG): no! i didn’t come here to surprise him! i… 小熏 tricked me!
敖犬(AQ): 小熏?
王子(WZ): 小熏 knew that you’re in Hong Kong too?
鬼鬼(GG): she found out.
王子(WZ): and she didn’t tell me?!
鬼鬼(GG): i told her not to… but obviously, she has her ways…
王子(WZ): did you come alone?
鬼鬼(GG): yeah…
王子(WZ): 鬼鬼! you could have told me!
鬼鬼(GG): why should i? i-
敖犬 cleared his throat and successfully interrupted their little argument.
敖犬(AQ): i’m still here.
王子 shot a stare at 敖犬 while 鬼鬼 rolled her eyes.
敖犬(AQ): alright alright, i’ll leave the two of you alone…
With that, 敖犬 quickly rushed out of the room, leaving 鬼鬼&王子 alone in the room.
Silence surrounded them as both of them suddenly didn’t know what to say to each other.
After what seemed like an eternity, 鬼鬼 couldn’t stand it anymore and decided to break the silence.
鬼鬼(GG): 王子, can you let go of my hand?
王子(WZ): you promise you won’t run away?
鬼鬼(GG): do you think i can run away from you?
王子 shook his head and smiled.
鬼鬼(GG): so can you let go of me now?
Again, 王子 shook his head in reply.
王子(WZ): i… will never let you go.
Once the last word came out of his mouth, 王子 cupped 鬼鬼's face and gave her a kiss.
王子(WZ): i missed you.
鬼鬼(GG): 王子... stop it. we… we have nothing to do with each other anymore!
鬼鬼 nervously pushed 王子 away and started pacing up and down the room.
鬼鬼(GG): you can’t come kissing me and say that you miss me after not contacting each other for one whole month! you can’t!
王子 crossed his arms and leaned against the table.
In contrast to 鬼鬼's nervousness, he was pretty much calm and relaxed.
王子(WZ): why can’t i?
鬼鬼 stopped in her footsteps and shot a glare at him.
鬼鬼(GG): we, broke, up!
王子 let out a breath and shook his head.
王子(WZ): how come i don't remember that?
鬼鬼(GG): one month ago, when you didn't show up at my house remember? then, i sent you the message...
王子(WZ): did i agree?
鬼鬼(GG): silence means consent.
王子(WZ): 吴映洁! let’s get this clear… who’s the one who said that i can’t come looking for her unless i wanted her to hate me?!
鬼鬼 fell silent and shrugged her shoulders.
王子 walked towards her and placed his hands on her shoulders.
王子(WZ): i don’t understand why you want to give up on this relationship when we obviously still have feelings for each other! 鬼鬼... you’ve already left Channel V… we’re not in the same company anymore. we can work this out…
鬼鬼 shook her head and looked down at the carpeted floor.
鬼鬼(GG): that’s exactly the reason why i left Channel V… i can’t face you knowing that i still have feelings for you… leaving channel V is the only way to start anew… it’s time to forget the past.
鬼鬼 took in a deep breath and gently pushed 王子 away.
鬼鬼(GG): besides, you’re getting more and more successful… you wouldn’t have time to have a relationship with someone like me. i need my boyfriend to be there whenever i need him, i need someone who’ll keep his promises and spend time with me… you’re… not that guy.
鬼鬼 smiled bitterly and adjusted the strap of her bag on her shoulder.
鬼鬼(GG): 王子... all the best for your concert! i know you’ve worked hard for it… take care.
Without even giving 王子 a chance to hold her back, 鬼鬼 turned around and headed straight out the door.
Maybe… this was the closure that both of them needed…
王子 could only watch as 鬼鬼 disappeared from his vision.
Then, he dropped himself on the bed and vented his frustration by punching the pillows.
王子(WZ): why does she always have to make all the decisions?! that’s it… it’s time to do something!
王子 took his jacket and stormed right out of his room…
