-Back to 2000-
Ever since the Hong Ren Guan competition my junior signed me up for, I've been signed under a contract for Xian Ge. Its good in a way, to write songs in the background with ease. After all, I've no where to go anyway after not qualifying for university.
Not qualifying for university... Sigh. If I HAD qualified i could have maintained that relationship with HER. (author's note: Her being Jay's girlfriend) Thinking about is brings back memories.
Why was I so stupid to fail the exams? Why did I insist to play basketball and not study? Why didn't I keep her back? ARGGG. I pulled off my cap and shuffled my hair. Stop thinking about it Jay, get yourself together. Xian Ge gave this job to you and you should do it well. I need inspiration!
My phone rang.
"Jay! Wanna go watch a movie?" Geng Hong's voice came from the other side of the line.
"What movie? I'm not in the mood for movies. I've got to write songs!" I replied.
"Come on man, let's go watch a movie! Armaggedon is showing now! I WANNA WATCH IT. Stop cooping yourself in that stuffy studio all day! You'll go nuts!" Geng Hong replied hysterically.
I knew he asked me out to breathe fresh air to stop keeping those sad memories to myself. Thanks pal.
"All right. See you at the cinema at 7." Click. I pushed the End Call button.

After watching that movie, I rushed back to complete the song 'Shi Ji Mo Ri' for SBDW, Xian Ge's band that time.
It was indeed one of my best compositions, along with the self penned lyrics. Even Wen Shan complimented me on that.
My job was to compose songs in the background for singers who were born with pretty faces of superstars. But despite my compositions that made it to other's albums, I wrote afew of my own collection during my free time.
Xian Ge got wind about this and asked me if I had wanted to cut an album.
"You know you're talented. You've got the stuff, all you need is some packaging!" Xian Ge excalimed.
"But... " I coughed to hide my nervousness and excitement over this offer.
"I give you some time to think it through. If you've decided, feel free to appraoch me." With that, Xian Ge left the room.
Being the Capricorn I was, it was indeed tough to take the first big plunge. After thinking it through for weeks, I've decided, why not?
It was then, a new Chinese R&B singer was born, with a shy demeanour and expressionless facial features serenading tunes of Ke Ai Nu Ren.
