"They are writing about us again..." Jolin whined in the passenger seat, while flipping through entertainment magazines.
"It isn't new... They write about us all the time," I replied, eyes focued on the road "Be thankful your name even appears on the front cover... Bad publicity is still publicity." I turned the car into the basement.
Jolin has been my first female friend in the entertainment circle other than colleagues like Landy and Vivian. However, knowing her till now, I can't really say if we're 'JUST' friends. There's this kind of attraction we have, somewhat like a relationship, but not exactly like one.
"Stop reading those crap... We're going to watch a movie later." I snatched the gossip magazine from her hands.
"HEY! Park your stupid car properly! Don't bother me!" Jolin snapped back. Snapped to a cute extent I would say. I threw the magazine back at her.
"Come on, let's go." I said, while leading her out of the carpark, pulling my cap lower.

"Great movie wasn't it! I'm hungry~ Let's go grab a bite..." Jolin pleaded.
"Grab a bite? We're not NORMAL passer-bys now if you've noticed... I'll send u back home.." I reasoned.
"But I'm hungry~~~~"
Ok. I lose.
We strode out of the cinema heads low, cap covering half the face and Jolin with her shades on. Trying to act as normal as possible, and walked towards a nearby cafe.
*Snap* *Snap*
Ok. I lose again. Twice in a row. Bad things always had to happen when I'm out with her.
"DRAT! We're being followed by the paparazzi... Not again~" Jolin complained. THanks to her 'I'm hungry whinings'. I rolled my eyes.
"Yes Miss Jolin. I'm glad you've finally seen the light... What now? Wanna go back?" I asked.
She simply nodded her head meekly, adjusting her shades.
Silly girl.

Random day...
I was woken up by shrill ringing of my Panasonic mobile. The screen flashed '1 0' (That was the nick I saved under Jolin's handphone number.)
"Hello?" I yawned.
"... *soft mumblings*... Let's not meet up... anymore." Was all I caught.
"Huh... What? What nonsense are you saying?" I sat up on the bed.
"I'm sick of this on-off thing we have. Are we even in a relationship? It's getting on my nerves. There you are so busy with YOUR shrieking fans... What about me? How come we haven't gone out for a movie for weeks?...AND..." Her voice rambled on. I sense jealousy. Am I in trouble? I cut her off.
"Hold on a minute. What are you talking about? We are in a relationship? I can't deny I'm attracted to you but... seriously... steady? I'm not ready yet. Besides I'm so busy all the time with promotions and stuff... And my world tour concert is coming up soon! Can you understand that?" I tried to defend myself. I can feel a volcano ready to erupt at the other side of the line.
"FINE. We're THROUGH you get it? No more dates no more sweet sms-es... You busy with your stuff... I busy with mine!" *click*
I was stunned. What was wrong with her? Must be PMS. Girls.
*Knock knock*
"Hey Jay! You're awake? Time for your recording... Or you need time to prepare?" Gary's head popped in. (Gary of NQMM - aka in-charge for Jay's recording)
"Ok just a minute. I'll be in the recording room in a while. Give me 5 minutes." I entered the bathroom to freshen up, throwing Jolin to the back of my mind.

I flipped through one of the gossip magazines and saw a teary-eyed Jolin... looks like she almost cried. What's wrong? I wondered.
"Rumoured boyfriend Jay dumps Jolin!" screams the headlines. I smirked. How senseless. The imagination of those paparazzi truly amazed me.
"Couple seen in the same car occasionally..."
"... caught on a movie date last month..."
"...Jay says in a interview, 'I can't say if we're in a relationship now or not, but I'll definitely say we're not in future.'..." I mentally slapped myself for trying to act mysterious during that interview. Me and my stupid mouth.
"... both becoming more low-profile due to their relationship..."
"...Jacky Wu tells Jolin, 'There are still many guys out there...'..." Hm. Typical of Jacky trying to stir up more gossip.
What truly stings me is how come Jolin was teary eyed, or was it my imagination?

She hasn't so much sms-ed or called me for like... weeks. Does she really mean it?
Little do I know that, it really is true.
