YA TOU!!!
I felt sorry for her, I looked outside the window, when suddenly my phone rang. It was Xiao Gui.
“hey, Xiao Gui!!” I said in a excited voice.
“hey, I’m coming back from my mission today.” Said the guy from the other line.
“YAY!!” I missed Xiao Gui so much. Aaron looked at me, seeing me so happy talking to another guy seems to make him jealous.
“hey, Hebe! Maybe we should eat outside later!” he shouted loud enough to get my attention, what’s up with him?
“hey, Xiao Gui want to eat later! I miss you so much!” take that sensitive Aaron.
“sure. Hey call you back later. Bye.” Xiao Gui hung up before I could bid goodbye.
I took a look at Aaron, he was fuming in…jealousy? Sigh.
As we get down of the car, I walked away. But Hebe pulled me but not letting Aaron notice.
“look, Gui! I want you to be out my sight the rest of the day, so my Aaron would be mine, ok?” Hebe smiled like we were best friend.
“whatever. I’m going out with my friend anyway.” I simply answered her before I took off. I later found Ya Tou waiting for me near the school fountain, she waved at me, she seems to be in a good mood, but I could see that something was wrong.
“Hey,Gui!IguessyouheardXiaoGuiisback.It’snotfunwithouthim,he’sgonefor5days,finallyhis back, right?” Ya tou talked so fast, I just understand ‘right?’
“slowly!” I said laughing at her hyper ness.
“I said, are you glad Xiao Gui is back?” Ya tou made it shorter,
“yeah! I’m going out with him later. Wana come?” I offered her.
“NAH! I’m going to meet with Ms Allen. She’s…….sending me for a mission!” Ya tou looked down.
“really?” I was quite disappointed, I thought it would be the same again, all three of us hanging.
“it’s ok.” She said , for some reason she lifted up her left hand like there was a plate on top of her hand, then suddenly a tree next to her offered an apple. It’s like she was controlling the tree at the moment, good no one saw that.
“let me guess, you can control plants?” it was obvious.
“DUH! Here, I made that the sweetest apple just for you. I’ll come back soon, ok? I’ll miss you.” She handed the apple and hugged me tightly.
“wait, it’s like you’re saying goodbye. Tell me, is this mission very dangerous?” I was getting scared.
“I-, I can’t tell any details….” She looked down again.
“I’m the princess! I demand you to tell me everything!” I didn’t think anymore.
“sorry but my loyalty is on the queen. Sorry!” Ya tou then ran away.
“YA TOU!!!” I cried, I was afraid to lose Ya tou . She’s the only person who can understand me. I decided to give her space, I looked at the apple and walked to my locker. The warning bell had already ring, I was already late for math class. I walked like a ghost, carrying my books, my head facing down. I walked lifelessly. I wasn’t paying attention in front of me, I have already bumped to a person. I was numb, just the thought of loosing my best friend made me want to give up. I turned to look at the person who I bumped to,
“there you are, are you ok?” he hugged me, I just kept on crying.
“Xiao Gui… where is Ya Tou?” I cried some more.
I hugged him tightly, not noticing someone was watching us. Aaron was furious, his blood was boiling inside his vines, he formed his hands into fists. He was fuming in anger and jealousy, he punched the wall. He took a last glance before heading back to class. I let go of Xiao Gui, he looked at me and helped me whipped my tears.
“go back to class, first then later let’s talk about this ok?” Xiao Gui rubbed both of my arm then patted my head, as I nodded. I drag myself to my class, the teacher looked at my puffy red eyes and questioned me.
“where have you been?” the teacher wasn’t mad but concerned, seeing my face like that.
“I…I went to the nurse’s office…” I shifted my head to the side.
“ok. Go to your seat.” The teacher sighed. I sat down and I formed my hands into a pillow and laid my head on it. I was tired for some reason, I wanted to just sleep. That’s when I noticed Aaron’s hand was wrapped around with bandage, his knuckles seem to bleed, the blood appeared on the white bandage.
“What….happened?” as I neared my hand to his wound.
“don’t touch me.” His shifted his hand out of my reach. I didn’t argue, I turned my head to the other side and looked out of the window. I let my hot tears strolled down to my shirt, trying not to make sounds but I failed. I sniffed rapidly and buried my face under my hands. I want to go home……
