Chapter 2

two .

He stopped his motorcycle in the alley and took the helmet from atop his head. It was almost a scene out of your favorite movie, the streets dark and damp. He set his helmet on the seat of the jet black motorcycle and went through the side door of a small building. Smells of vanilla incense and cigarettes filled the air around him. It was a dimly lit place, and he stood in the back, watching the stage. A woman approached the microphone in the center. She was dressed in a long, red-sequined dress. Her hair was pulled back into a tight french bun with a large flower on the side. Her right hand slowly came up and enveloped the microphone as she closed her eyes and took in a deep breath.

" It was two in the morning... " her smooth voice sang out. The bass player started up behind her, accompanied by the percussionist. She began to slowly sway side to side.

" He told me I wasn't good enough... " she continued.

His hands in his pockets, he still stared at her in interest, though he didn't move from his spot in the back.

" I didn't say a word... " she sang slowly. Her eyes opened to reveal two green-hazel orbs, decorated by long eyelashes.

" I shot him clean in the chest " she sang. The jazz music continued behind her.

" I packed my things and I left him... " she continued, her mesmerizing gaze scanning the crowd. She noticed him in the back, and kept her focus upon him. If he was who she thought he was, she needed this moment.

" Ooooh, my baby, he don't appreciate me like you do. " the song continued. She made sure she emphasized the ' you ' to him. A slight hint of a smirk crossed his lips, and mischief danced in his dark eyes. The song finished itself and the woman turned and left the stage. The crowd roared in applause. Noticing some people turning back to see him, he clapped his hands a few times.

She changed into a pair of skinny jeans and a red satin top, and red patent leather heels, and she left the backstage area, quietly making her way out into the public. The lights were low, and nobody noticed her as she sat in a booth facing away from the stage. A waiter came over and handed her a glass of Hennessey, which was what she usually ordered after a show. She took a sip from the glass and set it in front of her, watching the square ice cubes dance around each other in circles.

Suddenly, her perifial vision noted that someone was standing above her. She looked up to see him standing there. He found her.

" Anyone sitting here ? " he asked, already knowing the answer himself. She gestured for him to take the seat he was referring to, directly across from her. He sat down, his hands folded over the table. Her eyes ran from his hands, to the sleeves of his leather jacket, to the center that was opened to reveal his white tank, and up to the small gold chain around his neck, nothing too extravagant...and finally up to his face.

" Seungri hm ? What brings you here of all places ? " she asked calmly, taking another sip from her glass and setting it back down.

" My cover is blown...I heard about this place from a friend of mine " he said.

" Ah, I won't tell anyone. Don't think anyone knows anyway. " she said.

" What's your name ? " he asked her.

" Jewels " she responded, her focus turning to him.

" Jewels, hm? Well, that performance of yours was very good. " he said. She nodded.

" Look...if you're not goin` anywhere with this... " he started.

" Not interested " Jewels cut him off short. He sat back and smiled. He liked attitude from women. It was sexy.

" Hey, I figure a feature on a Big Bang track aint askin for too much " he said.

" Maybe for any other dipshit out here...but I know your type. Word is, Big Bang is one of the most corrupted groups in the industry. " she flatly stated.

" Not any more corrupt than half the people runnin round these streets. We just happen to get paid more. " he said smoothly. She liked cockiness in men. It was sexy.

" You can't afford my dignity, sweetheart " she said, standing up. She ran her hand underneath his chin and turned, leaving the Soul Lounge and entering the streets.
