He looked at the wall clock. It was twenty til four. The mayor had told him a personal assistant would stop by his address at this time.
/KNOCK KNOCK/
"That must be his personal assistant." Eunhyuk hurried down his stairs and opened up the door. A young, pretty girl stood in the doorway.
"Eunhyuk?" She smiled and asked. Her voice was so soft.
Eunhyuk felt his heart pump a little faster. His face turned a little pink. "Uh, y-yes." He coughed out.
"Great, I'm Kim, I'll be your chauffeur today." She smiled again.
Eunhyuk smiled back. "Cool," He spat out and immediately regretted it.
Kim laughed. "Shall we go?" She asked and started to walk towards her car.
"Ah, yes." Eunhyuk followed after her.
"So, pardon me for saying this, but, you are quite young to be an assistant." Eunhyuk spoke after a few minutes of silent driving.
"Oh, I'm an intern to the assistant of the assistant to the mayor." She explained, her voice sounded embarrassed.
"Oh, are you interested in becoming a politician?" Eunhyuk asked.
"Ehh, not really. I'm interested in politics. I'm studying political science at Michigan State. A professor of mine told me that studying under the mayor would be a good career move for me, so," She trailed off, letting Eunhyuk fill in the rest on his own.
"That's interesting." Eunhyuk added.
"What about you?" Kim looked over at Eunhyuk.
"Oh, I'm still in high school." Eunhyuk said.
"Oh, what do you want to be after high school, aside from being a super hero?" Kim laughed.
"Ah there's that word again." Eunhyuk grumbled.
"Oh sorry, did I offend you?" Kim asked sincerely.
"No, it's just that everyone is calling me a hero. I just did what anyone would do." Eunhyuk told Kim.
"Well, you saved the mayor of Detroit. And I don't think I could have rushed in front of a big truck. You were pretty much signing your death certificate, running out in front of that truck and all." She said.
"Oh, well, I wasn't really thinking about living or dying..." Eunhyuk started. His mind trailed off to Donghae and he broke his heart.
"Are you feeling okay?" Kim tried to peek at Eunhyuk's facial expression, but he had his hand cuffed over his left side of his face.
Eunhyuk pulled down his hand and forced a smile. "Yeah, yeah fine, just thinking about what would have happened if I was a second slower..."
"Well, you were a second faster and saved a very important man's life. Your parents must be proud." Kim said, trying to change the mood, but it only backfired.
Eunhyuk suddenly remembered why he was at that park bench. Why had run out of the house so suddenly. "Yeah..." He said, his voice distant.
"So, what did you say you wanted to be after high school?" Kim asked to keep the conversation alive.
"Oh a uh pilot." Eunhyuk confessed. It was the first time he told anyone he wanted to be a pilot. Not even the nuns at the orphanage. Not even Donghae. "I really like traveling and I think it would be a perfect job for me."
"Cool! Where have you traveled to?" Kim asked.
"Nowhere yet. Just around the city, but one day I want to travel the world." Eunhyuk confessed.
"That's a nice dream." Kim smiled again.
"So, what got you into political science?" Eunhyuk asked.
"I want to become a political analyst, and be a correspondent on a news show. Or possibly work as a consultant to a senator or maybe even the president." Kim explained.
"Cool," Eunhyuk said.
"Yeah," Kim get the conversation going.
Eunhyuk opened up to say something, when Kim spoke up. "So, the Governor's Holiday Ball is coming up, and I don't have a date and I was wondering, and this is a little early, I mean we just met, but," Kim spoke fast and nervously. "I was wondering if you would accompany me to the ball. As my date."
Eunhyuk instantly thought of Donghae.
Should I be thinking of him?
Why do I feel guilty about accepting Kim's offer?
I shouldn't be feeling this.
Donghae and I aren't going out.
We don't even have mutual feelings for each other.
So, why, do I feel so wrong about saying 'Yes' to Kim?
"I uh yeah sure." Eunhyuk accepting Kim's offer with a half smile, have frown.

so sorry for short chapter
i have school in twenty minutes and i wanted to update before i leave.
i hope you guys don't hate me for giving eunhyuk another love interest. ^^ i had to do it for the sake of the story.
