“So?” she asked in a careless manner, preparing herself to be numb to whatever he had to say.
He slowly walked up to her side, step by step, and sat down on the bed facing her.
Taking a hold of her hands, he looked down deep into her eyes and asked every so gentle “Is…. Is he really my son?”
Her head dipped down into a nod.
Time stood still for them.
During the time that they were both absorbed in their own conversation, Jacob Matthew had been staring up intently at them, his eyes darting back and forth between his mommy and his daddy.
He was desperately aching for his daddy to hold him, but it seemed like his dad didn’t want him at all.
Unconsciously, a tear slipped out from the very corner of his eyes and dripped down over his cute little chubby cheeks and slid down, landing on the very creamed color arm of Gui Gui’s.
Gui Gui’s arms were hugging Jacob Matthew, when the single tear dropped with a wet plop onto her arm, making her look at it.
Worried, Gui Gui anxiously asked Jacob Matthew “What’s wrong? What’s wrong? Jacob Matthew?”, while turning him around to face her for inspection.
The worried tone of Gui Gui’s voice at last shook Wang Zi awake.
Gui Gui and Wang Zio were both extremely shocked, surprised, and pained to see a fully tear-faced son crying in earnest silence.
Reaching over to hug him in a big bear hug as if to coax him, Gui Gui asked in a much calmer and gentler voice, “What’s wrong, baby?”
Finally giving in, the small child cried out in painful tears “Daddy doesn’t want me.” and buried himself back into his mom’s comforting embrace.
Gui Gui and Wang Zi both looked at each other in awed at what their son had said and shared a painfully astounded look.
Guilt and sadness began building up inside of Wang Zi as pain clawed carefully near his heart.
Very slowly like a turtle, he reached out an attentive hand to gather his son up into his arm.
He called out the softest and most gentle voice he could ever muster “Jacob? Jacob? Daddy is here. Don’t cry or you want look like daddy’s and mommy’s handsome boy anymore.”
This dried some of the boy’s tears, but then a voice boomed out saying “He doesn’t like being only called ‘Jacob’. You must call him ‘Jacob Matthew’ or he might not respond to you."
All heads turned to see that the doctor has returned with a tape in hand.

I still feel so bad for the last chapter's mistake. Anyway, I'm thinking about posting just one story with one cast, but not certain which cast yet. It's just been so confusing with the two casts and limited time to update, even though I get more comments.
