Taking a huge sigh, Doctor Wu went over to the television and inserted the tape in before going over to sit next to his sister and placed an arm around her.
Slowly in front of them, the scene of the hospital started to unfold before their eyes.
In front of them on the television screen, the scene switched from just a quiet hallway of the hospital to a hospital hallway featuring a veiled pregnant woman in purple dress.
The veiled woman in purple seem to be just standing there, but soon it showed from behind that she was peeking out into the other hallway.
The scene shifted again and this time it showed the face of the woman.
Wang Zi and Gui Gui both gasped aloud in utter shock.
It was....... Raine.
Wang Zi and Gui Gui turned to look at each other and their eyes locked.
Gui Gui's eyes featured the characteristic of unbelievable fear.
Seeing her so afraid, Wang Zi wanted to put his arms around her, but a warning glare from Doctor Wu backed him off.
Doctor Wu pause the tape and couldn't help but to ask "Do you two know that lady? That despicable woman! Who is she?"
Gui Gui quivered as she responded to her angry brother "That's.... that's Wang Zi's wife. Her name is Raine."
With that she burst into tears.
While Doctor Wu tried to calm down the crying Gui Gui, Wang Zi went to gather his son into his arms and asked the lady to watch over him.
Returning back into Wang Zi's hospital room without his son, Wang Zi took a seat and made himself finish watching the tape.
He seriously couldn't believe his eyes, when he saw that it was really Raine that pushed the gurney even after knowing full well that there were many people right around the hallway.
Though he also didn't know why she would want to do such a terrible thing like hurting Gui Gui.
Needing to know the whole truth behind this, he slipped out of Gui gui's hospital room and went to call his wife.
At the first ring of her cell phone, Raine answered.
She smiled when she saw her husband's name written on the display screen.
"Hi." she answered back ever so sweetly.
Annoyed, Wang Zi demanded in an ice cold voice "Where are you?!"
Trying to ignore her husband's fierce tone, she replied "At home. Where else could a pregnant lady like me be at?"
Wang Zi was really angered that he could have been so blinded and stupid to believe in her that he just shut off his phone without another word.
On uncertain feet, he walked back into Gui Gui's room after taking a glance out the hallway's windows to make sure his son was still playing outside with the lady.
As he was about to walk back into Gui Gui's room, he saw a flash of purple, exactly the same shade as Raine's dress on television earlier.
He followed the flash of purple out and before he knew it, he realized that it was heading towards Jacob Matthew.
Without wasting a single second, he dashed towards his son, only beating her to it by a few seconds.
He shielded his son, but was stabbed in the back.
Horrified, Raine began crying in hysterical as she ran around crazily.
The police caught her just before Wang Zi slipped into a world of dark unconsciousness.
He fell to the floor and was rushed into the emergency room.
Words of what have happened between Wang Zi and Raine was quickly brought to Doctor Wu and Gui Gui.
Anxiously with her brother's help, Gui Gui made her way to Wang Zi.
Crying she repeatedly paced the tiled hospital’s hallway floor, praying “Do not let him die. Do not let him die. I love him too much. I love him. I love him. And Jacob Matthew really needs his daddy. Wang Ziiiiii..."
Her cries seemed to have rocked through the walls, all the way to the very ears of Wang Zi’s for he woke up groggily, calling for Gui Gui.
Wang Zi’s sudden jot back to reality startled the doctors so much that they had to quickly give him another injection of anesthesia to calm him back down so that they can finish operating on him without him having to go through all the pain of closing the large wound.
After the small operation was done, the doctors came out to tell Gui Gui and Doctor Wu that everything was a success before wheeling Wang Zi to a patient ward next to Gui Gui’s.
Gui Gui went ahead to Wang Zi’s ward with Jacob Matthew in tow, while Doctor Wu stayed behind to speak to the doctor, who had operated on Wang Zi.
Inside the ward, Gui Gui bent over to kiss Wang Zi gently on the cheek before letting Jacob Matthew follow suit.
Gui Gui was just about to sit down with Jacob Matthew in her lap, when she noticed the smile forming on Wang Zi’s face.
In lightning speed, Gui Gui quickly bended over Wang Zi to press the ‘help’ button, but Wang Zi’s hands reached out to still her.
Looking down at his hands holding her, she couldn’t help but to let a slow seductive smile break out over her face.
She sat back down, while Jacob Matthew went to hug his daddy lightly as to not hurt his wound.
A delighted smile appeared on Wang Zi’s loving face as he enjoyed his son’s hug.
