In a friendly tone, the nurse said "The numbers and letters on this tag should match with the ones on your tag if the baby is truly your."
Hands quivering ever so uncontrollably, Hebe carefully flipped the baby's tag over to read and memorize the numbers and letters as a code on it.
Then she looked at her own tag.
Seeing that the numbers matched so perfectly, a seductive smile curled gleefully onto her delicately soft lips and appeared onto her blushing face.
Hebe hugged and held the baby as close as possible to her chest and smiled wide.
The baby in her arms made her feel like she had just won a million dollars and she knew that this baby was worth more than her life.
Deciding that the new mother and her newborn baby should have some alone time to bond, the nurse slowly edged out of the door and into the hallway.
Staying in the silent maternal ward with her precious baby daughter, Hebe stroked her baby's soft downy dark brown hair that seem to glisten into sparkling golden brown under the shining bright light.
Placing a quick kiss on her baby's soft rosy red cheeks, she freed her top for her baby to nurse when she saw that her baby's face was scrunched up and ready to cry again.
As the baby nursed hungrily on her full breasts, Hebe caressed the baby's cheeks lovingly as it went in and out due to the baby's sucking.
Hebe was extremely contented to be blessed with such a perfect loving little angel.
But as she continued to look and hold onto her baby daughter, her heart squeezed at the reminder that her little family is not at all complete yet.
Wishing with all her might, she wished that "He" could have been here with her and their little daughter to complete their perfect little family.
As she continued to think about "Him", a lonely tear slipped out of her eyes and down her cheeks, gliding all the way down to her chin, where it hanged as if at the very edge of a cliff holding on for dear life.
Finally after a long while, the tear silently dripped.
It dripped down as if in slow motion, one thousandth of a millimeter at a second until....... until it landed gracefully on her daughter's small perfectly shaped chubby red cheeks.
Surprised by the sudden wetness on her cheek, her daughter's soft rosy red lips stopped suckling and nursing as her big round eyes stared questioningly into her mother's big wet sparkling round eyes as she tried to figure out what could have made her mommy so sad that she had to cry while holding her.
At last, seeing that she wouldn't find her answer there, the baby switched her full attention back to feeding herself, hoping that she'll find out the answer sometime soon.
As the baby suckled, she wondered 'Where is my Daddy? I thought that they told me that I will have at least two people that will love me a lot when I was born and one will be called Mommy and the other will be called Daddy. (looking up at her mommy, she wondered) This is Mommy. Now where is my Daddy?'
Searching all around the room, the baby realized that she couldn't find her daddy, so she immediately started to wail loudly.
Surprised by the sudden crying, Hebe didn't know what to do at first, but her maternal instincts soon kicked in.
First Hebe plopped the baby up onto her shoulders and began to burp her, while rubbing the baby's back soothingly with one hand and holding the baby upright with the other.
In such a soothingly sing-song voice, Hebe told the baby "Shush, little darling. Don't you cry. Mommy will buy you a mocking bird and if the........."
The baby's crying only got louder, so still rubbing her baby's back, Hebe said "Okay. Okay. No song. How about we talk about your daddy?"
At once the baby silenced herself.
Giving a small laugh, Hebe said "Do you really understand mommy or are you just playing with mommy that you understand what I'm saying?".
"Well anyway...." Hebe continued and began talking to the baby about her daddy.

Before I do the third chapter I have a question, "will my readers still support and continue to read if the story turns out that the pairing are not exactly the pair they are hoping for?" For example, if your are hoping for Alex and Stephy, then it is actually Alex and Theresa in the story , will you still continue to support? An early thanks to all that will respond to my question and thank you for all the comments. Comments are what keeps me going so thanks a bunch.
