Chapter 49

The next day at school Maki went to her first, third, and fourth class. She skipped her second, knowing that Jae Joong would be there. She wasn't angry at him...she just didn't know how to explain herself to him. And if he still thought she was going to apologize to that damn Sayuri he had another thing coming. She sat under the huge oak tree during second period, feeling the breeze blow through her hair.

She sighed, "I miss you too Omma." she whispered quietly. She heard the bell ring for lunch and she sighed pulling out her boxed lunch for the day. As she ate she started to rummage through her school bag for a bottled water. She sighed, she remembered that she had left on the counter this morning. "Well I can't avoid him forever can I?" she muttered and stood up, brushing herself off so that she could go to the cafeteria to get her something to drink before she choked on her rice.

She walked into the cafeteria, pretending not to care...although she did want to look for him. She missed his gorgeous face...she missed his husky deep voice. But no, she fought her instincts and went to the vending machines.
"Look there's Maki." Hyo pointed out. Everyone turned to look and sure enough, there she was walking to the vending machines not paying anything or one attention.
"Hyung, go talk to her." Junsu said, "You guys are REALLY annoying!"
"Yeah seriously, you guys are worst then Ae-Cha and me." Yoochun said, "AI!" he said when Ae-Cha punched him in the arm, they both glared at each other.
"You know she's more stubborn then you are...she'll probably never talk to you again...forever." Yunho pointed out.

Jae Joong winced as he looked at the back of Maki's head. He couldn't NOT talk to her forever.
He sighed, "But she's making it so complicating...all I asked was for her to apologize to Aya."
"Right...the little brat who was hanging on your arm in front of YOUR GIRLFRIEND. I TOTALLY see the logic in that oppa." Hye Sue said sarcastically.
"But she's JUST a friend."
"So does that make Maki JUST your girlfriend?" Changmin asked.
"Oppa, at this point you're going to blow it. You better go make it up to her...before she decides Top might just be the best choice." Eun threw in.
"She wouldn't dare..." Jae Joong said and turned to look at Maki.

"It's Maki we're talking about Oppa, as strong willed as she is. One pretty faced boy with the right words...and she'll be gone. For good." Sanny said, crossing her fingers under the table. She knew it wasn't the truth about Maki but whatever it took to make Jae Joong go talk to her was worth it.
"Hopeless, just forget it. Jae Joong can't do it. Goodbyyye Maki-chan." Song said, edging Jae Joong further.
"She was so nice...I really liked her." Yuri said. "Oh well all good things must come to an end I suppose..."
Jae Joong groaned, "AIISHH! I'LL GO!" he said and stood up.
"Oppa Hwaiting!!" the girls squealed. He rolled his eyes and grinned as he walked to the vending machines.

He walked up the line that had formed and tapped on the boy's shoulder that was behind Maki. The boy, a nerdy little thing, grinned and backed away with a nervous move. Jae Joong nodded his thanks and stood in line behind Maki. He watched as she purchased her drink. She turned to walk and he delibrately stood right in her line of vision and she walked right into his chest.

She bounced back a bit and grabbed her nose, "SON OF A--! WHAT THE HELL IS--!" her question dropped when she saw who it was.
"Annyeong." he said to her with a little wave. She looked up into his deep gray eyes, he wore his contacts today.
"Annyeong." she whispered back.
"How are you?"
"Can't complain..." she said, a silent moment passed between them and it felt like the whole cafeteria was holding their breath waiting for what was going to happen next. "Well I guess you have a great lunch." she said and pushed by him to leave.

Jae Joong sighed as she walked by, then he quickly turned and grabbed her arm pulling her back to him. His hands cradled her face and his lips captured hers before she could protest. She melted instantly in his hands. His kiss sent a shiver down her spine. The cafeteria continued on as if nothing happened.
"Mianahae." he whispered against her lips.
"I hate you." she whispered back her eyes still closed.
He laughed, "I know. I'm a jerk...but could you really not apologize to her?" he asked. She opened her eyes and glared at him. "Ara soh...I'll leave it be. I've missed you...stop being so mean to me."
"You started it." she muttered.

He let go of her and grinned, that beautiful face...can anyone say no to it? She turned and walked away again.
"Yah! Where are you going?" he called out.
She turned around again, "Moh? You think that just because you say 'Mianhae' and give me a fantastic kiss I'm letting you off the hook that easy?"
"Well...yes. Isn't that how it's suppose to work?"
"Not with me pretty boy."
He cringed at the name, but he saw her smirk and watched as she left the cafeteria...at least they made up.

After he school he was back to sulking, it sucked not being able to see his girlfriend all day and the fact that she was still giving him a hard time. The group had decided to ditch him, now he was just being an annoying little brat. At least when he was arguing with Maki they stuck around...to make sure he didn't do anything stupid. Now that they knew the two were ok with each other again and that he was only sulking because of something so trivial, they didn't want to deal with him.

He headed out to the parking lot to his car and his heart almost leaped out of his chest with joy. His face broke into the brightest, most knee-shaking-iest worthy, eye-orgasmic smile. She was sitting on the hood of his car, her legs crossed at her ankles. She looked back at him bored. He walked up to her trying to hide his excitement.

"What do you want?" he asked indifferently.
"A ride home."
"You're out of the way...I don't want to waste my gas."
She just shrugged, "Ara soh...I was talking about your house...but whatever. I'd rather go spend the rest of my day with my Appa anyways. He's so much more entertaining."
He walked directly up to her, their faces only centimeters apart he leaned in as if to kiss her, his fingers lightly ran up the the area of her leg that was free from clothing and went up under her skirt a bit. She shivered at his touch, and he grinned, "I'll think about it." he said laughing at her expression, that almost drove him wild.

She cocked an eyebrow at him and he stood up, before he got too far away she grabbed his tie and pulled him back closer to her, pulling his face towards hers, her lips coming only a breaths touch close to his. Then she pulled him closer to her, their faces passing each other as their cheeks caressed each other.

"You're not the only one who knows how to play games Pretty Boy." she whispered into his ear and bit on it playfully. Then she shoved him away, got off his car, and walked towards to the gate.

He stood there dumbfounded, his blood rushing to his face, his hand grabbing onto his ear lobe where she bit him. He was stunned beyond words. Suddenly he threw his bag into his car and quickly ran after Maki. He ran up in front of her, picked her up, and threw her over his shoulder like a bag of rice. He quickly went back to his car and shoved her in. Finally they were driving off to his house, she was sitting in the passenger seat next to him, laughing her ass off.

She had won this round.

They got to his house and walked in, she followed behind him. They entered the front door and he stopped completely in his tracks...she walked right into his back.
"YAH!" she said yelled and rubbed her nose.

"Jae Joong-ah?" an unrecognizable voice called out to him. This time Maki didn't know who it was that was calling out for him.
