Jae Joong watched in the direction that she ran in and then he started running after her. Hye Su went right after him, causing the rest of the group to run after them as well. Maki made the turn to Sanny's house and quickly entered the gate. She ran up to the steps and found Hyo laying on the ground.
"You ok? Where's Sanny??"
"They took her Maki...I couldn't protect her...we were just sitting here talking when a group came. They beat the crap out of me...I got my butt kicked by a bunch of girls." he grinned. His grin disappeared quickly, "Maki you have to find her...she's not going to be able to defend herself."
"Where did they go?"
"To the park five minutes from here...please bring her back...and I lied when I said I didn't like her...I like her a lot..." he grinned.
"I'll get her for you Hyo, don't worry." Maki helped Hyo into a comfortable sitting position and quickly ran in the direction of the park that Hyo had told her.
Maki made it to the park and ran all over it. She heard some grunting noises and a muffled scream behind a handball wall. She didn't even wait. Maki made the turn around the corner she ran towards one of the girls that had her back towards Maki. Maki went at full speed and clothes lined the girl in the back of the head. She fell face forward and knocked out. Maki didn't care about anyone else, she just saw the two girls that were holding Sanny down, her pretty face bloodied and being slammed into the concrete ground.
Maki's blood boiled inside her veins and she felt her adrenaline pumping. These bitches were going to pay. Maki ran up and did a flying knee kick to one of the girl's face. Then she used the wall as leverage, as she kicked off and brought her fist down into the side of the other girl's head. Maki stood between the group and Sanny. She wasn't going to let them get to her. The girls came running towards Maki, she ducked and dodged every other person but was able to land punches and kicks into their bodies. One girl came out of no where and grabbed Maki into a head lock from behind. Maki quickly grabbed the girl's arm and swung her body forward flipping the other girl off her back. Another came and swung a metal bat at Maki, connecting with her stomach. Maki doubled over and instinctively cradled her stomach. The girl swung again but this time Maki was ready, she grabbed the bat from the girl and yanked it from her hands. She glared up at the girl. She then took it and swung at the girl's knee cap, knocking it out of place. When she looked around she hadn't noticed that the other girls had either ran off or were laying on the ground. She threw the bat on the ground, it made a loud clanking noise as it hit the ground. She quickly ran to Sanny's side, she gently turned her over on her back.
Sanny started crying when she saw Maki's face. "It's ok...I'm here." Maki pulled out her handkerchief and started to wipe away the blood. "Hyo is worried sick about you. C'mon I better get you back. Can you walk?"
Sanny shook her head no, "When I was running I twisted my ankle." Maki looked down, her ankle was starting to swell already. Maki nodded and helped Sanny climb onto her back.
A group of 10 kids stood at the top of the hill, they had watched the fight in awe, unable to take in that she had just taken out those girls. The girls looked at each other, they were going to have to change their battle plans for this one. She was a lot tougher then she was letting on. Jae Joong watched in awe, he couldn't believe what he just saw. He was trying to protect someone who could hold her own...no wonder she was pissed off at him when he stopped the girl earlier. He'd be pissed off too if someone came and interfered.
"You girls should consider asking her to join your group. She seems like a vital ally." Changmin stated.
"Yeah and from the looks of it she hasn't joined any groups yet." Yoochun said.
"She's really nice too, I have homeroom with her." Junsu grinned.
"Hye Su what do you think?" Yunho asked, turning towards her.
She looked at Yunho, there were so many reasons to say no but she knew that the guys would hate each and every one of them and say that they, the girls, were being selfish. "We'll think about it, we have other girls in mind and so far from what we've been putting them through they have potentional...besides she doesn't look like a team player." She looked over at Jae Joong, his cold features were extraordinary, but then she saw the corner of his lips turn slightly up.
"She's something isn't she?" he said outloud, everyone turned and looked at him. He laughed to himself and walked off from the group, his hands shoved into his pockets.
Maki made it back to Sanny's house, Hyo was still sitting outside. His eyes grew and he quickly stood up to greet them. He winced in pain. "Yah! Just sit down, we're coming in." Maki yelled at him, afraid that he was going to hurt himself even more if he keeps moving erratically. He nodded and quickly sat back down, when he noticed his mistake in getting up so fast.
Maki came over with Sanny on her back and sat down on the porch. "Watch her for me, I'll go get a bowl of water and some towels." She ran inside and Hyo and Sanny sat next to each other.
"Are you ok?" Sanny asked turning towards him.
"I really don't think you should worry about me right now." he said giving her a pained smile.
"Thank you for being here."
"I didn't do anything...I was beat up by a bunch of girls." he shook his head. He felt Sanny lay her head on his shoulder.
"It doesn't matter..." she whispered to him. Hyo smiled...maybe it was worth getting beaten up by a bunch of girls. Maki stood at the door grinning at her friends. They were something. She was happy that they were happy, but why did she feel so empty? Like she was missing something...she pushed that thought from her head and walked out.
She set the bowl, towels, and ice pack next to Hyo, "Take care of her ok?" she said and turned to leave.
"Why are you leaving??" he asked outloud.
"I can see when I'm not needed...losers." she winked at them and walked out of the gate and made her way home.

I realize that later on in my story 'Hye Su' gets an 'e' added on to her name so it'll be 'Hye Sue' don't ask. I'm just slow...lol
