Chapter 19
(2 months later)
(Changmin’s Pov)
As I twist & turn in my bed, “Aish,why can’t I just sleep & forget about it?” I asked myself. Looking up at the clock, it was already 3am in the morning. “I’m gonna disturb his sleep again but I’m craving for it.” I thought. A few minutes passed, unable to stand it anymore, “Yeobsaeyo, Jae” I said calling him in the room beside mine. “Yes Min.” was his reply in a groggy voice & soon he appeared in fornt of my bedroom door with his phone in his hand, half asleep. “Jae, I’m craving for some mangoes & ice cream. Can you buy some for me? I finish the ones at home.” I asked in a pleading & cute tone. Seeing my face, he couldn’t say ‘no’, “Ok, I will get you some. I will be back.” he said making his way out while grabbing a jacket along with him & soon the door was heard being close. While staring at the white ceilings above me, my mind wonders off to the times that I spent with him together the last 2 months.
(Flashbacks)
“Good morning” he said in a chirpy tone. ”Morning” I replied in a normal one. “Breakfast is ready. Let’s eat.” he said. I just nodded & took my seat on the dining table. While eating, “After you told me about your condition yesterday, I think it’s my responsibility to send you back & fro from work & also to take care of your diets. So do I have your permission to carry out that duty?” he asked in a polite tone. “It’s time for me to give MinMin a rest from taking care of me.” I thought. “Ok, I give you permission to do so.” I said. “Thanks” he replied. I know by agreeing to that it will take our relationship a step closer.
A month passed by just like that, we got closer & more comfortable with each other. His presences during check ups, staying by my side when I needed him & worrying about me, it’s make me see him as a different person. Just by having him around me, makes me feel a whole lot better. He is always trying his best to provide a comfortable & good environment to leave in. Soon enough, we have dinner at Kim’s Mansion with the presence of my umma & dongsaeng too, the news of my pregnancy was announce & it’s cause so much happiness for them especially Grandpa & Umma. A happiness that I didn’t experience of such a long time in my life. Upon the news, it was decided that I will stop attending work, staying at home since I was told not to strain myself by the doctor & Jaejoong was worried by the fact that I will overwork myself. That’s was how I ended up at home with nothing to do expect watching tv & reading. Luckily, there are times where MinMin or umma will come over & visit. A week ago, we attended Yoochun’s wedding & I was indeed happy for the newly wedded couple.
Time as pass, nothing much as change in the house, we still sleep in separate rooms but I will call him through my cell phone if there’s a need or emergency. He was worried due to my body condition since it’s a bit weak so he asked me not to move around too much. The baby has been healthy & that’s how a big smile spread on his face everytime a check up session ended. We become more comfortable & started to call each other by nickname.
Our relationship seems to grow as time pass, I hope it will continue to grow more.
(Present)
“Min, I’m back.” I heard Jae calling out, pulling me out of my slumber. Soon, he appears at the door, “Min, here’s the mangoes & ice cream. Sorry, I took quite a while since it’s difficult to find a fruit stall opened at this timing.” he said while passing the items to me. “It’s ok, Jae. Sorry, to wake you up again. You can go back to sleep now, I can manage by myself.” I said giving an apologetic smile. “There’s nothing to be sorry about, Min. It’s normal to have craving when you are pregnant.” he said giving a smile while taking a seat on the armchair located at the corner of my room. Tasting the foods, it tasted so good. While eating, I turn my attention when I heard a slight snore, realising that it came from him that as fallen asleep on the armchair. “He must be exhausted working & taking care of me at the same time.” I thought to myself. I slowly tiptoed to him with a blanket as I reached him; I covered him up with the blanket. “Thanks,Jae.” I said while looking at his sleeping face & a while later, I got myself back in bed.
(Next morning)
(Jaejoong’s Pov)
The light shone brightly on my face, I move my body & it’s was aching & stiff. I finally realise that I fallen asleep on the armchair. Looking around, I saw Min was sleeping soundly on the bed. I approach him & kiss him on the forehead, “Good morning, my love.” I whispered while looking at his angelic face. Slowly, I moved my hand to touch his bulging tummy that’s growing as time passed, “Good morning,baby. Behave yourself alright. Take care of umma while appa is at work.” I whispered as I kiss his tummy. Not long after, I tiptoed myself out trying not to wake him up. A refreshing shower makes feel more energetic as I proceed to make breakfast. Seeing he was still deep in sleep, I decided to get the dishes ready on the dinning table while leaving a note on his side table before going to work.
(Changmin’s Pov)
Hearing the faints sounds, I decided to just keep myself relaxed & close my eyes. Soon, feeling a kiss on my forehead & a whisper, “Good morning, my love” where else soon after I feel a hand on my tummy & a whisper, “Good morning,baby. Behave yourself alright. Take care of umma while appa is at work.” ended it with a kiss on my tummy. It’s been an everyday routine for him as I will just pretend to be asleep since I don’t know how to react towards his action. I keep asking myself, why did he call me, his love? “Since when did he fall in love with me?” I question myself. I am happy with him now but I’m not sure if I have forgiven him or if I can even give him my full trust. My feelings are all jumble up together. I turn toward my side table & saw a note, “Dear Min, remember to eat breakfast or not, our baby will be hungry…Lots of love, Jae” A smile spread on my face while reading the note. After getting a shower, I made my way to the kitchen for breakfast.
(Lunch)
(Jaejoong’s Pov)
While having lunch, I decided to check up on Min. “Yeobsaeyo,Min” I said. “Hey Jae, eating lunch?” he asked. “Yup, so have you eaten yours?” I asked worried that he was not eating properly. “Yup” he replied in an instant. “Good, I will be back early for dinner like usual since there no meetings that will be extended.” I said. “Talking about dinner, Umma called earlier on saying that she wanted us back for dinner tonight.” he ended with excitement in his tone. “Sure, no problem. See you later.” I replied. After an ‘ok’ and a ‘goodbye’ the call ended.
(Changmin’s Pov)
“Goodbye” I said ending the call with Jae. I was in the living room listening to some music on my i-pod. After a while, my phone rang, distracting me from the music. “Yeobsaeyo,MinMin” I answered it. “Hey, Minnie…how are you recently? Sorry, I didn’t see you often nowdays, been busy with modelling.” he said with a hint of guilty in his voice. “I’m fine & don’t worry about that. I understand that you are busy, we can catch up with each other anytime.” I replied in a cheerful tone.
“Thanks Minnie for understanding. I hope we can meet up soon.” he replied. Hearing his reply, I thought of an idea. “MinMin, why don’t you join us for dinner today at umma’s place? I will be going with Jae & I’m sure umma won’t mind having you around.” I suggest. “That’s a good idea Minnie, I will see you there then.” he replied. After saying byes, the call ended.
(Dinner)
After Jae gets home, he went straight to change & soon after we make our way to umma’s place. Upon reaching, I greeted my umma & dongsaeng, both with a hug & kiss on the cheek. After a while I ended up in the living room with my dongsaeng, chatting since Jae is helping umma in the kitchen. I wanted to help out at first but was refrained from doing so by Jae, saying that he will help umma instead. Not long after, the doorbell rang, “MinMin must have arrive.” I thought to myself while trying to get up from my seat but was stopped by Jae. “It’s ok, I will get it.” he said while making his way to the door. I wanted to greet MinMin, so I just trailed slowly behind Jae.
(Jaejoong’s Pov)
When I opened the door, I saw Minho. “What is he doing here?” I thought. “MinMin” I heard Min calling out from behind me. I slowly move aside giving him a way to passed through. He just smiles at me & soon I witness a hug by the two of them. “Minnie, I miss you.” he said. Min just smile at him & said, “Me too..Let’s chat more in the living room.” while dragging him away. I stood there & realise the door was still open, closing it as I made my way back to the kitchen. “Who was that?” umma asked as soon as I appear in the kitchen. “Minho” I answered without realising there a hint of jealousy in my voice. Umma just let out a small laugh & said, “Are you jealous Jae?” I just nodded & she replied, “You shouldn’t be.” as she made her way out of the kitchen. Being left alone in the kitchen, I was wondering about umma’s words. “Jae, come & join us in the living room.” Umma called out. I quickly made my way there, without thinking much. The sight that greeted me was Min & him was giggling while seating so close to each other. My heart is burning with jealousy as I took a seat beside umma. A while after we proceed to have dinner, all of us was having a great time especially Min. I can see that his family is very close with Minho as umma seems so comfortable chatting with Minho. I just sat there quietly, eating my dinner when umma said, “So Minho ah, have you introduce yourself to Jaejoong?” directing it to Minho. “Nope, didn’t have the opportunity to do so yet. Right Minnie?” he replied looking at Min’s direction. Min’s nodded his head & said, “Jae ah, this is Choi Minho, my bestfriend & dongsaeng.” “What?? Minho is his bestfriend & not his lover.” I thought to myself. “Jae” I heard Min called out. I turn to his & Minho’s direction since he is seating beside Min. “Nice to meet you, Jaejoong hyung.” Minho said. “Likewise” I replied, not knowing how to respond. “So there’s nothing going on between them, I will need to confess my love to Min soon.” I thought to myself while thinking of a plan. As soon as an idea popped out, “Minho, do you mind me chatting with you later? Just to get to know you better.” I said. “Sure,hyung” he replied with a smile.
(Changmin’s Pov)
I was happy that Jae decided to put in an effort to get to know MinMin. After dinner & clearing up, I decided to take a rest in my room while Jae & MinMin is chatting in the living room. While seating by the window enjoying the night breeze, a knock was heard & soon umma appeared at the door. I just give her a smile as she approaches me. “So how’s everything with Jaejoong, dear?” she asked as she took a seat beside me. “Everything is fine, umma. He has been taking good care of me & I really appreciate his effort.” I replied. She just nodded & said, “Min ah, do you realise that he loves you very much?” I just keep quiet, trying to avoid answering that question. “Min ah, you can’t avoid this question forever. He really loves you that he change so much, trying to be a good husband towards you.” Umma said once again.
“But umma, what if one day he changes back into the person he was, 2 years ago. I’m confused towards my own feeling. I’m feeling happy & blissful but at same time I felt that all of this is like a dream & once I’m awake, Jae will be heartless again. I don’t want to love him & got my heart broken at the end of it. It will just hurt too much.” I said while resting my head on her shoulder, without realising a tear roll it’s way down my cheek. “Min ah, I know that you are scared that this is just all a dream but it’s not. If you are scared to love dear, you will never be able to find your happiness. I’m sure with the presence of Jaejoong & the baby in your life, you will find your happiness.” she ended her words while whipping my tears away & gives me a warm embrace after that. I just nodded while returning her embrace. “Now, it’s getting late. You should take your leave & rest early once back home.” she said. I just nodded & both of us make our way out of the room. After saying goodbyes & hugs, we made our way back home.
(Next day)
Heading towards the kitchen after my shower, I saw breakfast is ready on the table like usual. Upon seating, I saw a note & read it, “Dear Min, I will be waiting for you at Sunset beach during dinner. I will wait for you until you come….Lots of love,Jae.” “Why is he waiting for me at my favourite place, Sunset beach?” I asked myself after reading the note.
(Jaejoong’s Pov)
“I hope everything when as plan today & I really need to thank Minho for helping out on the information about Min.” I said to nobody while my eyes still focusing on the road.
(Dinner)
(Changmin’s Pov)
Upon reaching Sunset beach, I looked around trying to find him. “Min ah” I heard his voice calling out. Turning my head to the voice direction, I saw him standing there. I approach him & said, “Jae ah, what is all this?” “Nothing much” he replied as soon I find darkness overcoming my eyes. “What are you doing,Jae?” I asked trying to find a source of light. “I’m going to blindfold you for a while, just grab on to my hand & I will lead the way.” he replied. Not wanting to argue in public, I just grab hold of his hand. As he opened the blindfold, I was greeted by the sight of a beautiful candle light dinner at the sea shore & also candle that are lighted up & being poke into a heart shape in the sand. “What is all this?” I asked still feeling shocked but touched at the same time by the sight.
My question was not answer but suddenly he just get on his knee while being right in front of me & said, “Will you be mine?” with a elegant but simple diamond ring in his hand. “If you are scared to love dear, you will never be able to find your happiness.” Umma’s words repeated in my head. “Yes” I replied after thinking a while. There’s was a big smile on his face as he slipped the ring on to my finger. Standing up & holding my hands shortly after that, he said, “Thanks Min, for accepting me & forgiving me after all that I don’t 2 years ago. With this ring it’s symbolise my love for you & to start our own little family with our baby.” as tears of happiness roll on his cheek. Seeing his tears indeed convince me that he had change, to someone that I love. While whipping his tears away, I said, “Jae ah, I believe that you will make me happy & a good husband & great appa.” Soon we are in each other embrace, “I love you.” he whisper at my ear, “I love you too.” was my replied.
A hatred that change into love. A love that change a person. A person that finds his happiness.
Never give up on love before trying & never blame love if it’s ever hurts you…
