“Mei Zhou where’s Xiao Qiao? I haven’t seen her for a week now? San Cai asked the already tipsy Mei Zhou.
“Oh, my girlfriend…my dear girlfriend is in Tokyo right now showing her great talent among the Japanese audience.”
“You already have a steady girlfriend, Mei Zhou?’
“Why do you ask Xiao You, also have a crush on me? Well, you could pass as my girlfriend, because you really are so cute but my brother here, “ Mei Zhou looks at Ximen who sits on his left, “ might take my life if I have you as my girl.” Mei Zhou then winks at Xiao You.
San Cai rose from her seat and reach for Mei Zhou, “Stop playing with my best friend, or you’ll get it from me, Mei Zhou!”
Ah Si grabs the flaring San Cai.
And in his most moderate tone, calms his wife.
“San Cai, Mei Zhou is not fooling around with Xiao You, we all knew that he is far from doing it especially to your best friend.”
“Don’t you dare lay your claws to Xiao You, all of you F3!”
“Does it include me?” asked Lei.
“Yes, you are F3 Lei, you idiot!”
Ah Si hugs San Cai to control her. “San CAi, please calm down. Too much shouting and moving is bad for your situation right now.”
San Cai stops from wiggling, looks at Ah Si.
“Come on nah, stop doing this.”
San Cai listens and then sits.
That brought out a very controlled laughter from F3, controlled because Dao Ming Si is now eying them to stop from laughing.
“Xiao You, would you care to tell us how your life goes while you’re in Canada?” Ah Si said to divert San Cai’s attention from the F3.
Instantly, San Cai face Xiao You and enthusiastically wait for Xiao You to talk.
“I want to hear that Xiao You, you never said anything about it when we talk earlier, you just let me do the story telling,” San Cai said giggling already.
Everybody’s eyes turn to Xiao You.
She took a deep breath before she was able to talk…”Uhmm, there’s nothing much to talk about me. My life back there is not as extravagant as your’s…”
“Oh, Xiao You, don’t say that. My life here is also full of struggles. There comes a whole day that what I only did is cry, and hope that those miseries will be over.”
Xiao You hugs San Cai, “I’m sorry San Cai, I didn’t mean to make you remember of those things.”
“No, it’s ok, Xiao You its not your fault.”
“ B-but my conscience is really hurting me because during those difficulties I was not able to help you or just be beside you…I am really sorry San Cai…I really am.”
The two ladies begin to sob and then cry, Lei gives them the tissue.
“Thank you, Lei,” says both of them.
Ah Si, holds San Cai’s hand, “San Cai, don’t be too emotional it might affect our baby. I don’t want her to be a crybaby.”
Xiao You releases San Cai from her hug.
“I am sorry Dao Ming Si, I prompted her to cry…”
“Xiao You, please go on with your story.”
Xiao You dried her tears, bit her lip, and then starts again, “I finished my school in one of the local universities in Toronto. I took up Business Administration. After I graduated, I worked in my family’s small restaurant, but wanting to give more for my family I looked for another job. I landed in a budding real estate company…I worked there as an office staff. After a year, the company’s owner migrated to London that she decided to close it. I continued applying on some other company but luck was not for me I guess for I could not find one, so I went back to work on our family’s restaurant. But life is still not that good for us…so I decided to find my opportunities here in Taipei.”
“So that’s your reason why you came back here, huh?”
She nodded to Mei Zhou.
“Did you already find a job here?” asks Dao Ming Si.
“N-not yet…”
“Oh, how unfortunate, I already hired many personnel to work in Italian Tomato, Xiao You. If only I know that you’ll be in need of a job here, I didn’t get them,” San Cai said in frustrated tone.
“It’s okey, San Cai. I’ve only arrived today. Tomorrow I’ll begin my searching, I am sure there would be a company here that can hire me and give me a better paying job.”
“No! Dao Ming Si can place you in one of the companies under Dao Ming Corporation, you don’t need to apply on other company!”
“You don’t have to do that, San CAi, I-“
“No!” San Cai, faced his husband, “Dao Ming Si, give Xiao You a job! Give her a position in one of your companies, please. Please Dao Ming Si..”
Dao Ming Si holds San Cai’s face with his both hands, and looks at her,” You don’t need to beg San Cai, anything you want I can give you…Of course, I can give Xiao You the job she wanted. I will help her for she is your friend and ours also.”
“Yeheeeeyyyyyy!” San CAi screams, hugs Ah Si, and kisses him on his lips. …thrice!
“I love you Dao Ming Si!!!” she screamed again!”
Ah Si’s face turns red because he was too surprised on what had San Cai did.
Then there’s a slapping!
“You pighead! Why are you blushing? Are you ashamed of what I did?”
“N-no San Cai, I’m just-“
San Cai grabs Ah Si before he can finished what he’s saying and kisses him again, now deeper!
Then there’s a coughing among the audiences.
“Can you two get your own room!”
Ah Si and San Cai parted, and both stare at Mei Zhou and say in the same time,“Did we ask for your opinion, Mei Zhou!”
Lei laugh out loud.
Dao Ming Si, looked at the laughing figure. “You seems to be very happy, Lei. All this day, what you did is to laugh your heart out.”
Lei stops from laughing and smilingly look at Dao Ming Si also, “I will not ask you if I am asking for your opinion because of minding what did…I’ll just say that I am very happy right now that’s why I kept on laughing.”
All four people switch their eyes to Hua Ze Lei.
“I am not the one who’s to tell the biography here, it’s Xiao You,” clearly he said
“But we’re your brothers, you are supposed to update us on what’s happening to your life,” insists Dao Ming Si.
“Dao Ming Si, how could you be so talkative, huh? If Lei would want tell us what’s happening to him right now, he’ll tell us. If he still doesn’t want to discuss it, could you not wait?” hot San Cai starts again.
“Okey, okey whatever you say San Cai, just calm down.”Ah Si shifted his eyes to Xiao You. “So Xiao You, please report on my office tomorrow. I’ll give you the kind of job you need and the right compensation you want,”then looked back again to San CAi, “Are you contented with that San CAi or is there anything else you want me to do for Xiao You?”
“Nothing else, at this moment,”San Cai answered sweetly, “Thank you, Ah Si”
Ah Si kissed San Cai on her forehead.
“All for you, my wife.”
Mei Zhou shakes his head, “You two are so mushy!”
“Fly yourself to Japan!” the two Dao Ming chorused!
Everybody laugh.
“Uhm, excuse me-“
“Yes, Ximen you want to say something?” Dao Ming Si asked.
All attention now turns to Ximen.
There’s a hesitation to speak again from Ximen.
“Say it now, bro. You can do it,” encourage Lei.
“Ah…I just want to say that… if Xiao You would still consider, she can work for me- formycompany.”
All eyes are pop open! Then there’s a shifting of gazes from Ximen to Xiao You, back to Ximen, and back again to Xiao You.
“Huh!M-Me? I-I don’t know…I c-cant decide..Dao Ming Si has already offered one to me,”Xiao You answered, obviously confused and surprised that Ximen has asked that…that he wants her to work for him..er-for his company!
“Don’t worry about Dao Ming Si, Xiao You. At times, he can also be too understanding if his offer would be turned down. Anyway, you still don’t say yes to him, so it is okey for you to choose, if other offers here are laid down to you.”
“That’s my brother! You rock, Lei!” exclaimed Mei Zhou, now turning red because of his drinking.
“It’s okey Xiao You if you could not accept my offer…”
“No! Ximen, I…I’d -”
“Hey, Ximen,” San Cai interrupts, “would you like to tell us what kind of job you want to offer to Xiao You, better not say that you only want her to be your meimei or I’ll have your head!”
“San Cai, will you watch your mouth!”
San Cai was stunned from that break out, “Dao Ming Si…”
“My brothers here are not bad as you always think! Better not judge them like they are criminals!”
San Cai bows her head,” I am sorry, I don’t want to be mean,” she looks at Ximen, “ I am sorry, Ximen, “ then envelopes her both hands to Ah Si’s body, “ I am sorry, Dao Ming Si.”
“It’s okey San Cai, no harm done. You don’t have to scold her, Ah Si…Uhm, Xiao You, “ Ximen looks at Xiao You’s eyes, “my secretary will be having an indefinite leave for some health problems, I don’t have anybody now to do his work, as you would know Sec. Xu has a big role in my life being a businessman. Now, I am offering you his position for the mean time that he could not perform it. I will give you twice as what he is earning from me if you would accept this.”
“X-Ximen…I-” Oh she can't decide....Her eyes wander among the other people there. Lei give her his famous thumbs up sign when her eyes meet him. Mei Zhou makes a big smile. Dao Ming Si nods his head and San Cai, “It’s okey, Xiao You. That’s a good job, why not accept it,” she said.
Xiao You look back at Ximen, “O-Ok Ximen,…I- I am accepting the job.”
“Good.” That’s all what he can say.
“Wow! This whole day was very great!” yelled Mei Zhou. “All are in their lovin’ mood!”
“Xiao You where do you plan to stay now? You still live with your auntie? You can live with us if you like, so this lady here would be happier,” said Ah Si, pointing out his loving wife who is still wrapped around him.
“Oh, thank you for the offer Dao Ming Si, but I don’t want to interrupt you anymore. Now that you and San Cai are married it would be awkward if I will stay with you. Earlier, I already found a nice place which I can affordably rent. I will just ask Lei, if it won’t bother him to bring me there after we parted here. My things are still on your car, Lei.”
“No, I will not bring you there.”
“Lei!” Of course it’s San Cai.
“It’s okey, Lei. I’ll just get it from your car as soon as we leave her.”
“I plan to bring you home, Xiao You.”
“Huh?”
“Hua Ze Lei…”it’s Mei Zhou,” Do you hear yourself?” Mei Zhou then looks to Ximen.” Ximen, I am sure Lei is just kidding.”Mei Zhou turns to Lei again, “Lei you are only kidding aren’t you?”
“No, I’m not, why will I joke? I am sincerely offering my house to Xiao You. Since I am usually in Japan nobody is left there aside from my househelp.I think that it’s better if I also have someone there whom I can check on about what’s going on in the house from time to time that I am away aside from our head househelp.
And there’s nothing to be ashamed of if you would take my offer, Xiao You. This would be the most practical decision you would do because it will save you from any rental fees, miscellaneous expenses and others.I will make you stay in my house for free. You’ll just have to give me some special services in return if I am in the house.”
“That’s a nice idea, Lei…” Ah Si said.
“But why does she have to give you some special services? And kind of service is that Hua Ze Lei, huh?”
“You don’t have be rattled San Cai. I can promise that among these two here, I am the safest man Xiao You can be with, or else you want Xiao You now to be with Ximen since you agreed and let her work for him.”
“Not for him, you idiot! For the Ximen Enterprise!”
“San Cai!”
“Oh, I’m sorry Dao Ming Si…”
“Sorry. Sorry. But, you always forgot that you are pregnant. Stupid woman!”
“Stop calling me stupid!” San Cai fights back, in a much higher tone, “And besides, who told you that I am pregnant?”
Ah Si’s face hardened. “We’ll talk about this as soon as we get home, Dao Ming San Cai.”
Realizing that the great F4 leader is really serious this time, San Cai backs out from her "tantrums".
Lei stand up, “Well, let’s call it a night guys! We still have work to deal with tomorrow, and Xiao You here has not still rested since she came back this morning, let’s be kind enough to let her relax.
Xiao You stands on her feet also, then asks, “Hua Ze Lei, are you sure that you want me to stay in your house?”
Lei give her his most genuine smile, “No doubt about it, Ms. Yang Xiao You.”
Xiao You smiled to him in return, “You’re so kind, Hua Ze Lei.”
“And so is my brother here, Ximen Er Long!”
“Hua Ze Lei, stop mentioning my whole name!” Ximen cries out.
Both Lei and Xiao You giggles.
Lei earned a look from Ximen.
“What?” asked Lei.
“Y-you take care of her, “Ximen said, then pulls away his sight from Lei. Get his glass of wine and drink from it straightly.
Lei moves toward Xiao You and have his one hand placed on her shoulders.
“Of course, Ximen you know how much I wanted to live longer in this world. I will take care of her like my life.”
“Thank you Lei, “Xiao You bows her head, turns to San Cai’s side and approaches the wild grass, “Uhm, I’ll try to see you tomorrow after office, San Cai.”
San Cai who sits like a tamed lion now, stand up and hugs her.
“I am really happy that you are back best friend! We still have so many things to talk about, promise to spend more time with me now.”
“I’ll do San Cai. I’ll make it up to you, I promise.”
San Cai releases her, “Call me as soon as you reached the Hua Ze mansion.”
Xiao You nods and then looks at Ah Si, “Dao Ming Si…I am sorry if I had caused you a lot of troubles.”
Ah Si reaches her out, and gives her a tight embrace, “You don’t cause us any trouble, Xiao You. You should learn to get used to this, everyone is. But don’t worry I’ll try little harder more not to upset your friend, and that is also a promise.”
“Thank you, Dao Ming Si. Just try to be patient more with San Cai. She loves you dearly.”
“I know, and I do love her so much also.”
Dao Ming Si let go of her. Then she reaches for Mei Zhou.
“Mei Zhou, I’m going.”
Mei Zhou whose head is already lying on the table, didn’t respond.
“Spare him, Xiao You. He’s already asleep because of his drunkenness. He’ll not hear you.” Lei said.
“Okey,” she then moves toward Ximen.
“X-Ximen…”
Ximen look up to her.
“Ximen, t-thank you….for the job you had offered.”
“Don’t thank me yet, Xiao You. You haven’t started. We don’t know if you will like the position or if you could survive working with me.”
She bows her head, “I know that I am not as good as what you are expecting of me but I promise to work harder so I can give my best for you, for your company.”
She turned her back to Ximen and moves towards Lei,” Lei, I want to go now.”
“As you wish my Princess.” Lei looked at the Dao Ming couple, “ Ah Si, San Cai were going now.”
The couple nodded their heads.
“Ximen, we’re going. I’ll take her home.”
Ximen also nods his head and continue from his drinking.
“Come on now, Xiao You.”
“Lei you drive slowly.” Ah Si adds before they could make their steps out of the room.
“I have a driver with me. You, you should be the one who must be very careful. You’re with your wife and your child. And do remember not to fight with each other while you are on the road.”
San Cai smiles. “Thank you Lei. Take care of my best friend.”
“I will San Cai. You take care of your self, your upcoming baby and you’re already grown child!”
“Hua Ze Lei!”
Lei just laugh with that outburst from Ah Si.
“Xiao You…”
Xiao You stops from her steps, turns her head and look at him.
“Be there in my office at 8 AM tomorrow. Sharp.”
She nods her head.
Then Hua Ze Lei gently holds her and take her out of that place.
