Chapter 9

John Wayne

Yoochun held up the fabric like bag in one hand and the plastic vacuum cover in the other. "Bag replacement instructions..." He read aloud to himself. "Number 1, Turn off switch and unplug the electrical cord before changing the dust bag-" Yoochun looked over at the unplugged cord. "Check!" He nodded to the directions.

"Number 2, Discard used dust bag-" He picked up the bloated bag from the inside of the vacuum's stomach and tossed it behind him. It thudded on the ground and rolled under the coffee table, leaving a trail of fine dust wherever it went. "Check!" Yoochun yelled.

"Number 3, mount cardboard collar to vacuum inlet..." Yoochun looked between the directions to the empty vacuum's stomach. He puffed out the vacuum bag and poked his finger in the cardboard hole to make sure that it would work before he stuck the collar on the neck sticking out from the vacuum's stomach. "Victory!" He squeaked when he removed his hands from the half unfolded bag and it didn't fall off.

"OK, now whats the last one..." He leaned into the stomach and read the orange words again. "Number 4, tuck remainder of bag inside and close cover." He smiled and retrieved the plastic cover that he had thrown randomly into the living room earlier. Placing the cover on the hole he popped the teeth in the bottom into place and leaned it against the opening. With a small click Yoochun pulled away from the contraption with a smirk on his face. Only to be followed by the vacuum cover.

He narrowed his eyes at the plastic. Yoochun picked it up, clicked it into place, and pulled away. But again the cover fell from its place when his hands let go. Yoochun tried two more times, both with complete failure, until he screamed and threw the cover against the wall. It bounced off the white wall and flew under the coffee table to join the full dist bag.

"God damn piece of crap!!" Yoochun yelled at the vacuum. "Why the fuck am I even messing with your bitch-ass, this is stupid!!" Yoochun got up and stormed of to the corner of the living room, after giving a swift kick to the vacuum.

"Where the fuck is Jaejoong when you need something cleaned..." He muttered, kicking at the popcorn, chips, nuts, and other things coating the small apartments carpet.

"Jaejoong..." He whined towards the celling as he lowered him self into the corner of the living room. "...Jaejoongie?!-"

"Yoochun?" Yoochun jumped up from the corner he was sitting in and looked around the room.

"Jaejoong?" He called out to the air but no one replied. "...God?"

"Yeah its God," Yoochun jumped again. He turned around to see his best friend standing at the door, suit cases still in hand, and a cocky smile on his pretty face. "Happy to see me?"

Yoochun jumped up from the corner and sprinted over to the raven haired man. "Oh, Baby!" He cried, clutching the travel weary man to his chest. "You've come back to me!"

"Not willingly," Jaejoong joked.

"Well, its never willingly, is it?" Yoochun smiled at the joke and clutched his best friend tighter. After a few minutes Jaejoong decided to push the man off of him so he could unpack.

Yoochun followed him to Jaejoong's small bedroom, the taller man carried the bigger suitcase while Jaejoong just had the backpack he had packed. Yoochun insisted that he help unpacking and started emptying the suitcase even before Jaejoong had time to agree or disagree. The city boy knew that his unorganized friend was going to put his things in places they don't normally go and Jaejoong would have to go over all the objects in his room, but it was nice to see Yoochun's dorkiness again.

The two boys only talked when Yoochun pulled out Jaejoong's pajamas and got a good whiff of their new scent. "They smell like a farm." He stated.

"Well, I was on a farm." Jaejoong laughed.

"No," Yoochun shook his head. "I mean like the natural essence of all things farm." He turned from the pink material to look at Jaejoong with narrowed eyes. "Who did you sleep with?"

Jaejoong's mouth went dry. "What?" He croaked. "I- I didn't sleep with anyone!"

Yoochun smirked and placed the pajamas on the bed. "Oh," He started walking towards the flustered man. "I doubt that, Jaejoongie."

"Well...," Jaejoong looked down a the carpet to hide his pink face. "I might of... with... someone."

Yoochun's smile grew. "It was a farm boy, right? All those muscles, sweat, and rugged handsomeness?" He paused to see how red Jaejoong's cheeks had gotten. "I should of guessed you would."

"Don't say it like that!" Jaejoong snapped. "It wasn't just some kinda spur-of-the-moment one night stand!"

"Then what was it?"

Jaejoong bit his bottom lip. "I love him." He whispered.

Yoochun's eyes bugged, and his throat made a involuntary squawking sound. "Love?" He asked disbelievingly.

"Yes!" Jaejoong said, his voice confident but still shaky. "I've fallen in love!"

Yoochun narrowed his eyes again, trying to figure out of his hyung was actually in love and not just under some kinda lusty spell. "Really?" Jaejoong nodded. Yoochun broke a smile. Jaejoong did look like he really was in love, he had a glowy and weightless aura, and the man was very confident about his emotions, even is he was shy. "Then can you tell me about the holder of your heart?"

Jaejoong gasped and looked up at Yoochun's smiling accepting face. "Oh, Yoochunnie!" He exclaimed as he flung his arms around his best friend's neck. "Thank you!"

Yoochun smiled and hugged the skinny boy back. "Any time," He laughed.

The two found themselves on the bed, Jaejoong going on and on about his week at the Jung estate. He told Yoochun everything. From the first touch of Yunho and his hands on the front porch, to the sex, then the heat-breaking goodbye.

Yoochun sympathized with him every moment. He concluded that this Yunho was a great guy. He was strong, proud, and had good morals that he followed.

They kept talking for hours. Both about Yoochun's time without Jaejoong and the love of Jaejoong's life, Jung Yunho. Yoochun talked most of the time, telling him about the loads of parties he had gone to, all of which were empty with out his roommate.

"That reminds me!" Yoochun shouted after he had reeled off the crazy happenings of all the nights without his best friend. "I promised Siwon I would meet him up at Lutero!" Jaejoong sighed. He knew this night was going to good to be true.

Yoochun saw the other's souring face and fell down in his lap, pouting like a puppy to get his friend back in a happy mood. "I'm sorry, baby!" He whinnied.

Jaejoong smiled sleepily at the childish man. "It's okay," He laughed as he pushed him off his lap. "Really, I will enjoy the alone time."

Yoochun didn't believe him, but got up to go get ready for his party anyways.

The raven hired man waited for Yoochun to walk off into the bathroom. He stood up and pulled off his shirt when the door was securely shut. Throwing it on the bed, he sighed at the contact of the air against his skin. It felt nice.

After looking around his small bedroom, he changed out of his clothes he had traveled in to an old pair of pajamas. Not his pink kitten ones, even if he wanted to wear them again. They needed to get washed.

He threw on a thin robe and wondered into the hallway. It was beyond weird to be back home for Jaejoong. He wished to still be in the Jung hose more than anything, and that want had caused his comfortable home to close around him like a prison. The city boy shook of his musings as he entered the living room.

A soft smile came back to his face when he saw the framed pictures of Yoochun and him covering the walls. Most of them were ridiculous, funny obnoxious faces and moments that others would throw in their closets to never see the light of day again. He found his favorite picture on the shelves next to the TV. It was of two Halloweens ago, the group had forced him to wear a tight leather cat outfit that had the whole place drooling over the feminine raven haired boy. The picture was taken right before every one left for the night. Yoochun had made everyone snap a quick picture out side of the bar. Even if half of the people were drunk, butt tired, or horny, it was still a cute group picture of his closest friends.

A prickling feeling hit at his eyes and Jaejoong looked down from the smiling faces.

Jaejoong's eyes caught Yoochun's small collection of movies on the next shelf and he leaned in closer to them. A few horror and sci-fi, a handful of action, and one romance Jaejoong had gotten him last year as a joke was all the other had on the shelf. The city boy sighed when he didn't find anything he felt like watching.

Jaejoong looked back over the row of movies just in case it might make him want to watch something if he looked at it a second time and saw a tin case shoved behind a horror movie at the end of the row he hadn't noticed before.

He pulled the tin case up to the edge of the shelf so it wasn't behind the other movies. Jaejoong's thin fingers traced lightly over the engraved gold colored English letters on the spine.

"John Wayne," A husky voice whispered next to Jaejoong's ear making the small boy jump in to the air.

"God damn it, Yoochun!" Jaejoong yelled, standing upright with his hands placed protectively over his startled heart.

"I'm sorry," Yoochun smirked. "You just looked interested in those movies, I thought you might like to know who it was about." He raised his eyebrow and Jaejoong looked away slightly embarrassed. "I didn't know you like westerns?"

"Just curiosity," Jaejoong shrugged. The raven haired man pulled his thin robe tighter around his frame to tell the other that he didn't feel like talking about the subject. Yoochun took the hint and gave his blushing friend one more greasy smirk before going back into the hall.

"My mom gave it to me for Christmas a year ago when she was in America." He called from the coat closet. "I've never even opened it."

"How rude!" Jaejoong called from the living room.

Yoochun came to the doorway between the two rooms. He shrugged and motioned for Jaejoong to come hug him goodbye. The raven haired man slugged over to him and let the taller lock him in a warm embrace.

"I'm sorry, again." Yoochun mumbled into Jaejoong shoulder.

Jaejoong shook his head. "No its fine. Me wanting to be a better person shouldn't affect your partying."

Yoochun smiled and squeezed the small boy closer to him.

"Okay," Jaejoong laughed after a minute of the hug. "I think that's enough love for the night."

"But, babe! I was just getting started loving you!" Yoochun joked after they had pulled away. Jaejoong smiled and lightly pushed at his arm.

The two roommates said their goodbyes and Yoochun was able to steal a kiss on Jaejoong's cheek before the dark haired man was finally alone in the apartment.

He wondered around the hallway and kitchen thinking of things he could do until his feet unconsciously brought him back to the shelves of Yoochun's movies. Jaejoong picked up the gold painted tin case and stared reading the back. Everything was in Korean except for he title of the box and the names of people. When he finished the summary of the history of the American actor John Wayne, Jaejoong unwrapped the plastic wrapping around the tin and pulled out the first box.

"Rio Lobo," He whispered the title out-loud. Jaejoong traced his thumb over the line of horses walking in the corner of the cover. He let his finger linger on the middle one, its brown color reminding him of Bambi's coat. The horses strong body flexing in the position of running and its long hair twisting and turning in the wind made the city boy's heart tight and his stomach churn from emptiness.

Jaejoong walked over to the DVD player and put in the still new looking disk. He made himself comfortable on the leather couch for his movie night, even finding a half empty bag of chips Yoochun had left on the table.
