The next night when you came home from school, your parents were home. *Strange. They’re always home when I am.* You glanced at the clock. Almost midnight. *Whatever.* You went upstairs to your room, washed and changed into your pajamas. As you were about to climb into bed, you heard the jingles of your parents’ keys.
You opened your door, “Mom? Dad?”
“She isn’t sleeping. You have to tell her right now.” You heard your dad hiss.
“But it’s late!” your mom complained.
You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion *What’s this?* “She has a right to know!” your dad snapped.
“Fine, fine.~~~~~~~~~-ah.” Your mom called.
“Yes?” you asked in puzzlement.
“Come down for a moment, please.” She said.
“O…kay.” You went downstairs, “What’s up?”
“Sit down.” Your mom patted the chair next to her. You gave your dad a queer look as you sat down. His face was expressionless.
“Yes?” you asked.
“Your dad and I have something to tell you. Something that we found out and figured out today.” Your mom revealed. “Okay… what is it?” you asked.
She took a deep breath and stared right into your eyes, “You have a brother.”
You blinked, “Excuse me?”
“A brother. Well, half-brother technically.” Your mom said. “…A half-brother?” you squeaked.
“Yes. On my side. You know that I married once, right?” your mom asked.
You nodded.
“Well, before you, I had a son. And I found that son… today.” She said.
“Oh. Okay… what’s his name?” you asked, trying to be nonchalant about such a HUGE thing.
“It’s… Kim Jaejoong.” Your mom breathed.
Your eyebrows furrowed in recognition of the name *Where have I heard that name before?*
Seeing your incomprehension, she exposed the crucial information, “He is one of the singers of the idol group Dong Bang Shin Ki.”
Your eyes widened in realization *OH. MY. GOD.* All the color left your face and you stared at your mom in shock. “Honey, are you all right?!” your mom panicked, “See! I told you we should’ve waited!”
“It was going to be in the papers tomorrow morning anyways! It’s better that she hears it from us then reading it in the newspaper.” Your dad argued.
Your mom sighed, “Honey?”
“I-I’m sleepy. I’m going to bed.” Dazed, you headed upstairs.
“Are you all right?!” your mom shrieked in concern.
“I’m fine.” Your voice cracked as you went into your room. You shut the door and leaned on it as you stared out into space. *Kim Jaejoong. Hero Kim Jaejoong. My half-brother. Blood related to me. Siblings?!* You had a flashback of yesterday:
“Let’s just say Hero Jaejoong popped through those doors and asked you to be his girlfriend. Would you say yes?” Joo-Na interrogated. “I’d have to know his personality and true self first.” You laughed. “But if it was nice and you liked it?” Joo-Na raised an eyebrow. You thought about it then nodded with a pondering smile, “Sure. Why not?”
“Oh dear God.” You whispered. You slid down on the door and sat on the floor. “I called my own half-brother HOT and cute and handsome and that I wanted to be his lover. Oh My God!” you covered your face in shame and embarrassment. *This is great. Just great.*
