Chapter 2

late birthday gift

"Please call a cab for them," Yunho handed the waitress her tip.

"Of course, thank you," the waitress nodded her head.

"No, don't call for a cab! I can drive everyone home!" JaeJoong spoke as his head rubbed against Yunho's shoulder.

"Okay, you can drive. Where's your key?" Yunho asked the drunk man in his arms.

"My key? My key, where are they?" JaeJoong's hands went down to his pockets. "Here!" he brought it up to show the man.

Yunho grabbed the keys quickly.

"Yah, that's my key. I'm going to drive!" JaeJoong yelled.

"Yeah, you can drive. Let's go to the car first, then you can drive," Yunho explained. Yunho was thinking he would let the man drive and crash if he didn't care about the other cars on the street. "He deserves it," Yunho thought to himself.

"Yah, I'm going to drive," JaeJoong mumbled as Yunho helped him outside to the parking lot.

Yunho looked around and saw the sports car that almost ran him and ChangMin over in the driveway earlier. With his arm still wrapped around JaeJoong's waist, Yunho pulled him towards the car. He unlocked the car and dropped JaeJoong into the passenger's seat.

"Yah! I'm driving," JaeJoong yelled again.

"You'll drive once the car is started," Yunho pushed JaeJoong's legs into the car. Then he went over to the driver's side and got in.

Yunho had only taken off a few blocks when he looked over and saw that the passenger was already passed out. Yunho drove up to a park ontop of a hill and parked.

"You don't look or act anything like the little girl," Yunho froze once he realized that he was referring to JaeJoong as a girl. "Like the little boy that was crying at his father's funeral," he re-phrased. Yunho unbuckled his own seatbelt and leaned over to take a closer look at the face. "If it wasn't for the friendship your father and my father had for each other, I'd probably be pushing this car down the cliff with you in it," he mumbled.

"I'm driving!" JaeJoong yelled out all of a sudden.

Yunho pulled back in surprise. "Did he hear me?" Yunho wondered.

"I never get drunk! What do you mean my card won't go thru? You're machine is wrong!" he yelled.

"Even in your sleep you still have that attitude of yours," Yunho was disgusted with the person. "I wonder how your mother treats you for you to turn out like this," Yunho brought his arms up to place on the steering wheel. "I can't get angry," he told himself. "I must stick to my plans," he looked over to JaeJoong again. "You and your mother will return the ring willingly," he told the unconcious man.

"Hyaaa," JaeJoong rubbed his eyes as he pulled himself up in his seat. Once his eyes were clear enough to see he screamed, " Yah! Where am I? And who are you?"

"Hmm?" Yunho woke up from the noise.

"Yah! Who are you? And how'd I get here?" JaeJoong shouted to the man in the driver's seat.

"Oh, you're awake," Yunho answered.

"What do you mean? Who are you?" JaeJoong asked again.

"You don't remember me?" Yunho asked.

"Remember you? I don't know you!" JaeJoong shouted. "Who are you? And what are you doing in my car? Are you kidnapping me?" JaeJoong pushed his back against the car door.

"Kidnap?" Yunho gave out a laugh. "You really don't remember me?" Yunho asked again.

"Yah, I'm not your friend. Tell me who you are!" JaeJoong shouted again.

"I was the one that bought you a drink last night," Yunho reminded him.

JaeJoong looked at the man's face carefully. Then at the way he was dressed. "He doesn't look like a kidnapper," JaeJoong told himself. "You still haven't told me how you got into my car," JaeJoong asked.

"You got really drunk last night, and when I asked if I could call a cab for you, you said no. And you got out your car keys trying to drive, I didn't want you to get in an accident so I offered to drive for you. But you weren't able to tell me where you lived, so I brought you here," Yunho explained.

"Why'd you care if I was going to drive drunk?" JaeJoong asked.

"I didn't want you to get hurt," Yunho answered turning his head away.

"Why do you care, we don't even know each other," JaeJoong wondered.

"When I saw you last night, I was attracted to you. I couldn't just watch you leave without getting to know you, and knowing you were drunk, I wanted to help," Yunho bit his own tongue after saying it.

JaeJoong's face felt a little tingle. Something he wasn't expecting. He felt more calm now for some reason.

"By the way, my name is Yunho, Han Yunho," he introduced.

"Han Yunho," JaeJoong repeated.

"Yes, and if it's not much to ask, can I have the pleasure of knowing yours?" Yunho gave JaeJoong a stare.

"I'm Kim JaeJoong," he gave a little smile.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr Kim," Yunho brought his right hand out for a shake.

"You can call me JaeJoong," he also brought his right hand out to touch the hand that was waiting.

"I heard you say it was your birthday last night," Yunho said. "I wish I had known it was your birthday before I met you, I would of had brought you a gift," Yunho joked.

"How could you have known? You and I haven't even met before last night," JaeJoong gave a little laugh.

"That's no reason for me not to have a present," Yunho joked back. "You've only met me and you're already flirting with me?" Yunho said in his own head.

"Maybe you should carry little birthday presents around from now on?" JaeJoong joked back.

"Hey, that's a great idea," Yunho gave a fake laugh. "I didn't think you'd have a fun personality to go with that beautiful face of yours," Yunho blurted out.

JaeJoong's face immediately froze and turned away when he heard the stranger call him beautiful.

"Sorry, I hope that wasn't too straight forward," Yunho spoke. "I'm not so good at containing my feelings," he explained.

JaeJoong was speechless. He has been hit on by both genders before but never this straight forward. And most of the time they tend to compliment him on his accessories rather than his face. That was one of the reasons why he's never had a special relationship with anyone. He had always felt that they were all going after his money, but this guy was different. He didn't even know him well enough to know if he was wealthy or not.

"If you don't mind, can you grant me permission to have dinner with me?" Yunho asked with a smile.

"Tonight?" JaeJoong looked back to the man.

"Please, I'm only in Seoul for a business meeting. I'll be going back to England soon," Yunho explained.

"You're from England?" JaeJoong asked.

"Yes, I'm only here for a few business meetings. I'll be going back soon," Yunho repeated. "If you would agree, I'd like to take you to a favorite restaurant of mine," Yunho asked.

JaeJoong thought for a few seconds and looked over to see the man eagerly waiting for a reply. "He did help me last night," JaeJoong thought. "Plus, he's not bad looking," JaeJoong's lips formed a little smile after that last thought.

"Only a dinner, if you're not happy with anything you can leave anytime you want," Yunho offered.

"I like steaks," JaeJoong told him.

"Well that's great! The place I'm taking you to is a famous steak restaurant," Yunho rejoiced. "And I'll pick you up at 9?" Yunho asked.

"How do you know where I live?" JaeJoong asked.

"Well, if you let me drive you home then I'll know where you live," Yunho responded.

JaeJoong gave a smile. "I guess you'll have to drive me home then," JaeJoong spoke.

Yunho started up the car and drove out of the park. He drove while JaeJoong gave him directions. Once in a while he would act as if he was stealing glances at the man in the passenger's seat.

"How could he keep looking at me like that," JaeJoong asked himself as he felt his own cheeks warm up. "And why am I so affected by his eyes?" he looked out of the window to hide his red face.

"I'll pick you up tonight at 9," Yunho told JaeJoong as they stood in front of the car.

"How are you going to get home?" JaeJoong asked.

"I called my driver to come get me at the corner up there," Yunho explained. "Don't worry about me," he continued.

"I didn't say I was worried about you," JaeJoong told him.

"Okay, you're not worried about me. But you will after tonight," Yunho gave a witty smile.

"Yah," JaeJoong argued.

"I'll see you tonight," Yunho quickly walked away and waved to JaeJoong.

"He even has a driver?" JaeJoong thought. "Not bad," he smiled and got in his car and drove into the house.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"JaeJoong-ah, where are you going all dressed up dear?" his mother called from the living room.
"I'm going out," he answered his mother.
"You're going out again?" she whined.
"Mom, are you saying I go out too much?" JaeJoong gave a frown.
"Omo, no, not at all. I just want you to have dinner with me every now and then. I get bored eating by myself," she told him.
"Where's ChangMin? Doesn't he come eat with you?" JaeJoong asked.
"Don't even talk about that boy. I barely get to see him since he moved into the guest house to live with his junks," the mother said. "He loves those junks more than he loves his own mother," she explained.
"Oh mom, I saw him bring another stranger into the house yesterday. You should keep an eye out to make sure nothing goes missing in the house," JaeJoong warned.
"Yah, that boy is so bad. Always bringing in strangers into the house. Don't worry, I'll go tell him later," his mother spoke with a disapproving voice.
"Sir, your friend is here," the main came into the room.
"Mom, I have to go my friend is here," JaeJoong gave his mother a kiss on her cheek and ran out the door.
"JaeJoong-ah, you're not taking your own car?" the mother called after but JaeJoong was already out the front door. "Yah, this child," she murmurred.
"Madam, the ride that came for him is a huge limo," the maid told her.
"A limo?" she asked.
Quickly she ran to the window and looked out to the gate.
"Yah," JaeJoong said in surprise as he saw the long white limo parked in front of the gate.
The driver was standing next to the door, once he saw JaeJoong he opened up the door to the limo.
"I hope you like this late birthday gift," Yunho was sitting in the limo.
"You did this for my birthday?" JaeJoong asked.
"I just wanted to impress you, is it working?" Yunho asked.
JaeJoong just giggled as he sat next to Yunho.
"Here," Yunho poured him a glass of champagne. "A little drink before dinner," he said.
"Thanks," JaeJoong took the drink and took a sip.
The limo took them to a famous chic restaurant in downtown of Seoul where only the rich and famous could get a table. JaeJoong was impressed by this stranger.
"This is stunning," JaeJoong took in a big breath.
"Yes it is," Yunho answered, but he wasn't looking at the view, his eyes were on JaeJoong. He made sure to stare long enough for JaeJoong to notice.
"Yah, I meant the view," JaeJoong giggled when he saw Yunho's stare.
"Oh, you were?" Yunho laughed. "I've ordered a 6 course meal for us, I hope you enjoy it," Yunho explained.
"You really went thru a lot of trouble for this, didn't you?" JaeJoong asked.
"It's not trouble, if you're doing it willingly. And I whole heartly wanted to do this for you," Yunho had to bite down on his tongue again.
"Why are you so nice to me?" JaeJoong finally asked him. "I have a feeling you're going to want something in return," JaeJoong gave him a half smile.
"Well you could look at it that way," Yunho spoke.
"So, you do want something in return," JaeJoong flirted.
"I only ask for you to have good feelings towards me," Yunho explained.
"Why would you want those good feelings?" JaeJoong asked with a smile.
"Maybe someday it'll develop to something greater?" Yunho gave him a stare.
"I thought you were going back to England soon, why would you want anything to develop?" JaeJoong took a sip of the wine that was handed to him when they go to the roof.
"I said I was going back soon, but I never said I wasn't coming back to Seoul," Yunho also taking a sip of his red wine.
"This is getting rather interesting," JaeJoong said as he went to sit at the table.
"I'm glad it's interesting, I wouldn't want it any other way," Yunho gave him a sweet smile.
JaeJoong could feel his face getting warmer by the second. He wasn't sure if it was because of the wine or the sweet talk he was hearing from Yunho. Either way, he didn't care, he liked it.
