?Dai Gor, Dai So!? Rachel and Charles greeted as Raymond and Myolie entered the apartment.

Raymond smiled happily at their reference to Myolie, ?What have you two been up to??

?We?ve miss you guys!?

?Miss us or the presents ah?? Raymond teased his younger brother and sister as he handed the bag over to them. ?Yee Jei picked them out for you guys,?

?Thank you Dai So!? The grinned happily taking the bag from Raymond.

?Dai So, have you been really busy lately?? Rachel asked as she unwrapped her gift.

?I?ve??

Myolie was interrupted by a woman clearing her throat, ?Hehem,?

?Mah-my (mommy), I brought Yee home for dinner.? Raymond stated the obvious.

?I see that,?

?Mah-my, look at what dai gor and dai so got for us.? Charles waved his new digital camera around in the air.

?Who are you guys calling dai so?? Bak Yan asked.

?It?s just a matter of time mah, Dai Gor and Yee Jei are bound to get married soon.? Charles replied.

Raymond smiled, ?Where?s Mah Mah (grandma)??

?Mah Mah?s in her bedroom.? Rachel answered.

Raymond nodded, ?I?ll go get Mah Mah and then I have an announcement to make.? Raymond pushed his grandmother out in her wheelchair, ?Mah Mah, look who I brought.?

Her face immediately lit up, ?Hang Yee you?re here. You don?t know how much I?ve missed you.?

?How are you doing Mah Mah? Is your health alright?? Myolie asked the old woman respectfully.

?My health is like all other old people?s health la. It is very poor and I know my time is coming up soon.?

?Don?t say things like that Mah Mah, you?ll get well soon. I know it.? She smiled.

?You know what would make me better is if I saw you and Fung Jia get married.? She reached out to hold Myolie?s hand and pull them on top of her lap.

Raymond smiled, ?Since everyone is here now, I have an announcement to make. Mah Mah, Mah-my, Deh-dy (daddy) Yee has agreed to marry me la.?

?Really? Hsuan smiled brightly at the news. ?When??

?We haven?t decided yet Mah Mah. We were going to let you decide.?

?Well, the soon the better.?

?Congratulations Dai Gor, May Lar Dai So (future sister in law)!? Charles and Rachel applauded loudly.

The rest of the evening was spent on making decisions on the wedding.

Myolie pulled out her journal after returning home from Raymond?s parent?s house.

?I met Raymond?s family tonight. They all seem very friendly, especially his grandmother and his younger siblings. They made me feel welcomed.?

?However I sense Raymond?s mother does not like me very much. I hope that will change because I really love being with the rest of his family.?

?I don?t know why, but I absolutely enjoyed that feeling I got while being there with Raymond?s family. It was such a warm feeling.?

?Perhaps it?s because I have no other family, it seems wonderful to be able to be part of a large family. I look forward to being a member of it.?

?The more I look into our marriage, the more I think it was the right decision.?

?I have decided to make my heart set on becoming Mrs. Raymond Lam.?

?Everyone gather around, I have an announcement to make.? All the workers circled around Myolie and Raymond. ?Myolie and I have decided to get married.?

None of the worked moved, they didn?t know what to say. Should they congratulate them? They have never really approved of Myolie to be with Raymond; they just weren?t suitable for each other. Suddenly from the back of the room they heard clapping. Everyone turned to look at who it was. They made room for her to walk up to the couple.

She hugged each of them, ?Congratulations, I knew this day would arrive soon.?

?Thanks Leila, we are very excited.? Raymond said as he hugged her tightly.

?I am going to be the bridesmaid, right?? Leila asked with a light smile.

?Of course, who else would we chose.?

?Just let me know if there is anything I can do to help.?

?Don?t worry, there?s plenty of help needed seeing how our wedding is next month. You can start by helping me pass these out.? Raymond was about to place a stack of envelops in Leila?s hand, ?Actually I think I?ll do it myself.? Raymond said with a bright smile and turned towards all his employees, ?Claire, Simon, Cerina?.? Raymond continued to call out their names and pass out the wedding invitations

Kevin, who had watched the entire scene from the doorway of his office upstairs, slammed the door hard behind him ready to leave, but instead bumped into Leila.

?Leila, are you okay?? Kevin asked seeing Leila?s eyes glistening with tears. ?Here, come into my office to talk.?

Kevin had a feeling Leila like Raymond, but she?d always denied it, but now he could be absolutely sure. ?He should have chosen you. You knew him first??

Leila shook her head, ?No, Raymond and Myolie belong together. They love each other. I don?t know what you?re talking about Kevin.?

?Leila, you?re my bui-mui (cousin-younger female), I practically see you as my younger sister, don?t lie to me.?

?Bui-gor? (cousin-older male) Leila let her tears fall from her eyes.

Kevin wrapped his arm around Leila, ?I won?t let them be together??he thought to himself.

Bosco sat down across from Myolie excitedly, ?Hey you said you had something to give me, what is it?? he grinned widely.

Myolie slowly reached into her purse, Bosco?s smile faded, as he saw her pull the red envelope out. Myolie passed it across the table; Bosco didn?t want to accept it, but he reluctantly let her slip it into his hand.

?What?s this?? he asked trying to play dumb.

?Raymond and I are getting married next month.? Myolie replied softly and sadly. She didn?t want to break the news to Bosco, but then again he had to know soon or later.

Bosco swallowed hard, he could feel his mouth going dry. They sat there in silence. Many times Bosco wanted to ask ?why?? but he?d open is mouth and nothing would come out

?Congratulations.? He finally managed to get out. ?I wish the best for you and Mr. Lam.?

?Thanks. If you can?t make it, I understand.?

?No, I?ll be there.? Bosco answered.

Myolie nodded. And after moments of silence she asked, ?Do you still want to eat right now.?

?Yeah?? Bosco started to answer, ?Actually I just remembered I have something to do back at the hospital. I have to go. I?ll talk to you some other time.? Bosco quickly dashed out of his seat.

Joe knocked on Bosco?s office door. Not hearing a reply he pushed the door open and found Bosco staring blankly at the wall.

He took a seat across from Bosco, ?Hey, what?s with the gloom look on your face??

?Nothing? Bosco replied monotonously.

?Come on, tell me. Maybe I can help you out.?

?She?s getting married.?

?Who?? Joe asked puzzled until he realized it was Myolie. ?Oh?well have you told her how you feel.?

?It won?t make a difference.?

?If you don?t tell her then of course it won?t make a difference, but by letting her know she still has an option.?

Bosco buried his face in his hands, ?I don?t know.?

Joe got up from his seat, ?If you really like her, you wouldn?t let her go just like that. You should at least give her and yourself an opportunity. Think about what I?ve said.?

Sorry for the lack of updates! I've just been really busy with school this semester and I've had to go out of town for different events almost every other weekend. I'll try to get another chapter up hopefully by Sunday.
