?You knew about Myolie?s accident didn?t you?? Raymond asked madly.
Kevin didn?t answer him; instead he turned to his computer and started typing away.
?How come you didn?t call me and tell me about her accident.? Raymond shouted.
Kevin kept his eyes on the computer screen. ?I didn?t want to affect your work. If I told you then you would have come running back here. I just didn?t want the company to lose the contract.?
?Is that all you ever care about Kevin? Is business all that matters to you?? Raymond questioned.
Kevin stood up and looked at Raymond, ?You can say whatever you like. Over 20 years of friendship and you?re yelling at me because of that woman.? Kevin screamed.
Raymond lowered his voice. ?I?m sorry Kevin,? Raymond apologized. ?But Myolie means a lot to me. I?ve already hurt her once I can?t bear seeing her getting hurt again.?
?It?s okay la.? Kevin put on arm out to pat Raymond?s shoulder. ?Hey you must be tired; you just got off your flight a few hours ago, why don?t you go get some rest??
Raymond nodded, ?I think I will. Then I?ll get the house ready for Myolie.? Raymond said with a smile. Kevin however frowned.
Raymond started to walk out the door, ?Oh, and Kevin, I?m really sorry for yelling at you earlier.?
Kevin gave him a smile, ?We?re good friends mah. Friends don?t say sorry.?

Raymond went back into his own office to get some stuff before leaving. ?Iris, could you come into my office.? Raymond said into the intercom.
?Yes, Mr. Lam? She answered. Iris knocked on the door before coming in, ?You needed something Mr. Lam??
?Iris, do you know which day Myolie was in her accident??
?Umm?I believe I remember it was the night of the 27th.?
?The 27th?? Raymond repeated as his eyes widen.
Raymond marched back over to Kevin?s office.
?Hey Ray, did you forget something?? Kevin asked.
Raymond grab Kevin?s shirt by the collar, ?You did it on purpose! Why did you do it??
?Do what??
?Stop playing stupid with me Kevin, you purposely had me fly over to Japan that night! That same night Myolie was in an accident. Why? Why did you lie to me?? Raymond felt betrayed by his best friend.
Kevin pushed Raymond off of him, ?So what if I did? I was doing what was best for you, me and the company.?
?Stop it with all the excuses la.?
?Raymond, you know what the employees say about her. How unreasonable she is. She fired Hor Yee because she got upset her dress got stained.?
?You know that?s not the truth. We both know exactly why Hor Yee was fired. She tried to steal our company?s confidential information. Myolie was already nice enough just to fire her and not turn her into the police.?
?That?s my point, it?s not like Myolie to let someone go so easily. For all you know, Hor Yee was framed by her.?
?We investigated into it and we know that Hor Yee did it.?
?Then how come Myolie didn?t explain it to everyone??
?That?s her personality; she just doesn?t like to explain herself.?
?I don?t understand why she?d want everyone misunderstanding her.?
?She just doesn?t care how other people view her, that?s all.?
Kevin snickered, ?You can say whatever you like about her. All you ever know how to do is protect her anyways. What she says will always be right and I?ll always be wrong, huh?? Kevin pushed passed Raymond and left his office.
Raymond didn?t understand. All these years, he has yet to figure out why Kevin hates Myolie so much.

Leila and Myolie got seated in a coffee shop.
?Can I get you ladies something to drink?? the waitress asked.
?I?ll have an ice tea.? Leila answered. She turned to Myolie and smiled, ?Do you want your usual Myo??
?I?ll just have a glass of water, thanks.?
?Okay, I?ll be right back with your orders.?
Leila continued to smile at Myolie, ?That was a really clever plan?acting as if you didn?t remember Raymond?but don?t pretend too long la?I?m sure Raymond will have learned his lesson in a few day?actually I?ve been meaning to ask you why are you mad at Raymond? He kept saying it was his fault all during our trip in Japan.?
?I?m sorry, I don?t understand what you mean?I?m not acting?I really don?t remember anything?.?
?Aiya, Raymond?s not here, you don?t have to pretend la. I?m your best friend, you?re not planning to trick me too mah? I promise I won?t tell Raymond wor??

Leila really couldn?t tell if Myolie was faking it or not. If she was, she sure was convincing?

?Hmm? Why are you calling me Ms. Tong? Myolie you?ve played enough la.?
Myolie stared at her blankly.
Leila looked into Myolie?s eyes, ?You really don?t remember do you??
Myolie shook her head, ?I?ve already told you, I was in a car accident, and I have no memory of anything??
Leila held Myolie?s left wrist, ?Even without your memory you still managed to know this was you favorite.?
?You mean this watch?? Myolie asked and Leila nodded. ?I don?t know. I just found this watch to be special. It was different from the rest of them. I just had this strange feeling when I saw it.?
?Indeed it is.?
?Where is it from??
?Raymond gave it to you when he first opened the company. He wasn?t rich at the time and almost all his money he?d saved up had been put into the company, but he wanted to get you something nice. Something special.?
Myolie looked at the watch while Leila was telling her the story.
?Raymond has one too. It?s a set, not to mention it?s one of a kind.?
Myolie recalled when she had gone to the company earlier and Raymond had his hand on her arm, she did see him wearing it. And now that she?s actually thought about it, that was the same watch the man in her picture was wearing. Myolie couldn?t help but go back to the question of why she had ripped all his pictures, ?I wonder what he did??
?Yeah, Raymond wears his almost everyday, but you only wear it on special occasions now since you?re so afraid something might happen to it. I remember last year when it had stopped working and you thought it was broken. You were so upset, but luckily we were able to get it fixed. I know that you two really cherish those watches. They symbolize your love.?
?So Raymond is my boyfriend, right??
?We?ll it more like fiancé ®ow. You two got engaged 3 weeks ago.?
?We?re engaged??
?Well it?s about time.?
?Have I known him for a really long time? How did we meet? And you and I are best friends?? Myolie had a lot of questions she wanted answered.
?Let?s see, where should I start explaining? I?ve know Raymond since we were kids. Then after you two started dating, we became friends. You met Raymond in college. He was a business major and you were a design student. Really there was no reason for your paths to cross, but I suppose it was fate that caused you two to run into each other. And I literally mean, run into each other. It was raining that day and you were both looking for a place to hid, and bam, you ran straight into each other. Soon you two started to go out.?
?So we?ve been together since then??
?Pretty much, after you guys graduated, Raymond and Kevin opened the company with you being the designer. After two years of hard work, our company became well known throughout the industry.?
?Kevin?he?s the guy that Raymond was arguing with??
Leila nodded, ?Yeah, that?s him?
?Can I ask,?why does he seem to hate me so much??
?Mmm?well, Kevin is my cousin and I don?t he really hates you?it?s just that he and Raymond have been good friends, no actually more like best friends since little. So when you came into the picture Kevin felt like you were taking his best friend away.?
Myolie nodded, ?Thank you.?

?For telling me so much about myself.?
?I?d be glad to tell you more if you?d like.?
?That would be wonderful. I feel really comfortable talking to you Leila.?
Leila smiled, ?I?m glad, we?re friends after all. Are you ready to go home? I?ll give you a ride.?
Myolie smiled back at her, ?I?m glad to have a friend like you.?

So now we know why Hor Yee was fired...mmm...so why does Kevin hate Myolie so much? No one seems to know...is it like Leila says...that he's just mad at her for taking his best friend away...or is there more to it????
Well I hope you guys know Myolie a little more now...
